【秘境の絶景】紅葉の奥大井湖上駅へ。アプト列車で行く“湖に浮かぶ駅”の旅|大井川鉄道
Haa… tired…. But there’s a view I want to see even if it means going that far It is said to be a hidden station This view. This trip begins at Kanaya Station, about 30 minutes by train from Shizuoka Station. The Oigawa Railway is also famous for its Thomas the Tank Engine trains. Service suspended… Ding… But, the Oigawa Railway still has steam locomotives in operation that you can ride! When I found out about it, I preordered it from Europe! This trip begins on board this steam locomotive! That’s what I wanted to say, but my date was an inspection day so I couldn’t ride it… Just look… Ding… Well, I’ll get revenge next time! So let’s get on a local train and get started! This train was built in the 1960s. It has been left as it was at the time and is very retro. The Oigawa Railway has two auspicious stations, “Kakaku Station” and “Kadode Station.” It seems to be operated as a message of encouragement for students taking exams. From January to March, steam locomotives are used to pray for success in exams. Apparently there are also “Passing Exams Prayer Trains” that run. That’s cool, Oigawa Railway! Get off at Kawane Onsen Sasama Toma Station. The owner of the inn where we will be staying for the next two days came to pick us up. It helps that I have a big trunk. When I came across this inn by chance, I fell in love with it at first sight. My husband is a big train fan, and this house is actually right in front of the train tracks. While staying here, you can see Thomas and the steam locomotives running right in front of you. Both of the trains were closed on the days I stayed. There are train tracks at the entrance to the inn This inn is filled with the owner’s love for trains. As it is a family-run business, it is limited to one group per day. Introducing a very warm inn There are lots of lamps which is nice. Meals are served around the hearth. The design that shows the beams is lovely. Everything you need is written here. Kawane Town, Shizuoka Prefecture was hosted by the current Ministry of the Environment. As a result of nationwide stargazing, This area has been selected as the second clearest starry sky in the nation. You can also sign up for a starry sky train tour. There is a bath, but there is a hot spring at Kawane Onsen Sasamado Station, where I got off earlier. I recommend going in there. The hot springs at Kawane Onsen Sasamado are characterized by their sodium chloride springs. The fine salt crystals block the sweat glands, so you won’t get cold after bathing. The fine water penetrates the skin well The water was nice and hot. The photo of Thomas and the steam locomotive is lovely. The meal we had around the hearth was really delicious. Thank you. good morning. There are few buses! Take the 8:27 bus to Senzu Station. Arrived at Senzu Station. Today we will be climbing up and down the steepest slope in Japan. We take the Apt train and head to the remote station. No advance reservations are required for regular travel on Abt trains. There was a Thomas Fair going on so we were able to see the Thomas train. Thomas is looking at me lol Let’s go! They waved goodbye. Along the Southern Alps Abt Line This area is rich in nature and has been certified as a Southern Alps UNESCO Ecopark. It’s heartwarming to see station staff and train crew waving at tourists. The Southern Alps Abt Line runs from Senzu Station to Ikawa Station Use a special free ticket to get on and off as many times as you like My destination is Okuoikojo Station Winner of the Cool Japan Award 2019, it looks like an island floating on Lake Sesso It is a beautiful and unexplored station. The day of the trip was November 12th, and the weather was good. The leaves on the mountain were starting to turn red. I was able to enjoy the beautiful autumn scenery. We also saw beautiful tea plantations. You can get off at Abt Ichishiro Station and watch the locomotive coupling work. But before that, look at this view! The road up to Nagashima Dam Station is the steepest in Japan. It combines with an Abt locomotive and pushes hard from behind to climb the mountain. It is the highest in Japan at 90 per mille (90‰). It is a very steep slope, with a 90m rise for every 1000m you go. Anyone who has seen the anime “Yuru Camp” will understand. Campsite He’s waving from below. Nagashima Dam It takes just over an hour from Senzu Station to Okuoikojo Station. The time flies as the views continue to be spectacular. We will soon arrive at Okuoikojo Station. We have arrived. The train goes to Ikawa Station and turns back. And we went to the observation deck. Follow the signs. You actually walk right next to the train tracks. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to walk to the observation deck. There are steep stairs and slopes, so comfortable walking shoes are essential. From here, it’s a pretty steep climb. Please listen to my out of breath opening once again (laughs). If you push yourself hard and get out of breath, you will be greeted by this beautiful view. After enjoying the view for a while, we head to Sessokyo Onsen Kaikan. When the innkeeper told me that he liked hot springs, He told me that the hot water was amazing! I love hot springs so I had to go! Proceed as indicated by the signs. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to walk from the observation deck to Sessokyo Onsen Kaikan. The view is different from the view from the train, so it’s beautiful. It’s a very good walking course. We could see the tea fields right in front of us. It’s a very quiet and peaceful place. It’s really surrounded by mountains. Oh! Is that it? We arrived! The water is very smooth One of the few sodium bicarbonate cold mineral springs in the country It has the effect of removing unnecessary dead skin cells and dirt from pores. Apparently it’s called the “Rejuvenating Bath.” That’s awesome! The soft serve ice cream after a bath is delicious Sessokyo Onsen Station: A cute and retro station building I’m going back to Senzu. Here too, station staff will wave you off. Another beautiful view Thank you for watching the video until the end. If you like this video, I’d be happy if you could like it and leave a comment. When we arrived at Senzu… Thomas spoke to me (laughs). It’s been a while since I last visited Japan… What!? How did you know about it!? lol Yeah! I’m happy too! Thank you for the fun train journey! Next up, after the “hidden station” is a hidden bridge? Don’t miss the next video!
