湯けむりの街・別府 地獄めぐりで味わう 圧倒される景観 | 週末おとな旅

Beppu, the town of steamy hot springs When you think of Beppu, you think of the hell tours. We start with Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell). I briskly walked along, but My husband mistook this for Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell) and was so absorbed in taking photos… This is the real Sea Hell. As the name Sea Hell suggests, the hot springs are a deep blue. The source temperature is a whopping 98°C! The steam is incredible! The sound of the hot spring gushing forth is so powerful. Apparently, the depth and hot spring components give it its blue color. There’s a Hell Tour stamp, so I’ll go and stamp it. Hell Steamed Food I want to eat pudding, but I’ll have to hold off a little longer… Next up: Located right next door. Bob’s Hell A scene reminiscent of hell A mysterious sight of gray hot mud gushing out. If it splashes, it’s bound to be hot… I stare at it, thinking about that. All over the park Hot mud is gushing out. Even the foot bath is made of mud!? The water was crystal clear. The temperature was comfortable. The second stamp was a cute monk. The third place was Kamado Jigoku (Stovetop Hell). Is this the place in the photo? This one seems a bit flashier than the previous hell… Apparently, there are several hot springs in Kamado Hell. I wonder if this is the same as Umi Hell? Apparently, the hot springs are drinkable. It’s hot! Arrived at the mud hot spring area. An experiment to make invisible smoke visible. We listened to a wonderful explanation. The largest hot spring in Kamado Jigoku. A beautiful sight… Now, the customary stamp! Next up is Oniyama Jigoku (Demon Mountain Hell) So, what kind of hell is it? Huh? 99.1°C! It must be too hot… I can’t see anything… Thanks to the wind, I could see it for just a moment! The hot springs are a little greenish. There’s a lot of stuff… Apparently, they use the hot springs to raise crocodiles. Their faces look scary (sweat) Maybe they’re sleepy after eating? Right next door was Shiraike Jigoku. A different kind of Japanese garden-like scenery. There’s no hellish atmosphere at all. A beautiful pale green hot spring. Somehow, it’s so relaxing. The last two places are a little far apart, so we took a break here. Hell steaming is available everywhere. We tried the classic egg dish. A commemorative photo with grandma and the egg from afar. After a short break, we drove to Tornado Hell. Tornado Hell is a rare sight in the world. A geyser erupts at short intervals. Wow! It’s erupting with incredible force! There’s a wall above, but it actually shoots up about 30 meters. I was also cautiously getting closer… Isn’t it amazing that it erupts at regular intervals? The power of nature is amazing! Don’t forget to get a stamp! The last hell we visit is This is probably the most hellish place. Wow! The hot spring is completely red. Steam is rising. This is hell! It feels like this. This red color comes from hot mud containing iron oxide. It’s said to be good for burns and eczema. An ancient resident described this town as “like hell.” The history of hell pilgrimages is said to have begun. Now, the final stamp! Even within Beppu, some were blue, others red. Each of the seven locations had its own unique characteristics, which made it fun. As soon as I achieved my goal, I was incredibly hungry. So, it was time for dinner. We visited this restaurant. When you think of Beppu, this is it! Hell steamed! Apparently it takes about 15 minutes to complete. Is it almost done? I’m so excited… Wow, it’s steamed beautifully! Let’s eat it right away. Mmm, delicious!♪ It’s got a strong flavor, even though it’s not seasoned at all. It even has a faint hot spring scent. It’s completely different from making it at home! I was so glad I came! The soothing sound of the waves… Passing through several torii gates… The last stop on my journey was… A small shrine with a sense of history… Hachimantada Shrine I feel a solemn atmosphere. Thankful for this wonderful trip. The chief priest was there and shared some valuable information about the shrine. Apparently, this shrine has deep ties to the Imperial family. The chrysanthemum crest is adorned on the side of the roofing tiles. Apparently, on clear, early mornings, you can see a beautiful sunrise like this. I continued to hear many valuable stories. I had a very fulfilling time. It’s cloudy and hard to see, but Beyond the torii gate is the ocean. Dinner at the airport When you think of Oita, you think of Seki mackerel. Seafood, mainly horse mackerel I’ve been looking forward to this restaurant Let’s start with the sashimi♪ Each piece is huge. The crispy texture… Delicious! Next, the sushi. The chef’s choice. Let’s try the sushi. Everything is so delicious! Oita is synonymous with Seki horse mackerel. Is that really horse mackerel? The taste was truly exceptional. Even though it was out of stock, I decided to order it anyway. I had the Seki mackerel specially prepared for me using the end of the sushi. It had absolutely no fishy smell and was delicious. After that, we had local octopus and conger eel. The chefs were very eloquent. We had a great time from start to finish. A very satisfying end to our trip. This is definitely a must-visit restaurant when you come to Oita! Thank you for the meal. The journey is finally coming to an end. Looking at the night view Soaking in the afterglow of my journey. Enveloped in the kindness of the people of this town. Relaxed and relaxed It was a great trip.
