하코다테 5박 6일 감성 여행기 🇯🇵 가면 무조건 반할 수밖에 없는 하코다테 여행 자세히 알려드림 | 나 혼자 일본 여행

Hello everyone. This is Departure Hara. I’m going to recap my trip to Hakodate, a city I fell in love with during my recent trip to Hokkaido, Japan. This was a 5-night, 6-day trip, and there are so many places I want to show you and stories I want to tell you, so it might be a bit long. But I really want to share it with you. If you’re planning a trip to Hakodate, I hope these vivid tips and spots I’ve personally collected will be of some help. For those of you who are new to Hakodate, I hope this will be a fun way to get to know this wonderful city . Now, let’s begin my story about my trip to Hakodate, the jewel of Hokkaido . After my trip to Sapporo, I traveled to Hakodate. While most people take the train from Sapporo to Hakodate, I took the bus. The main reason I chose the bus was because the bus stop was right next to my hotel in Susukino . To catch the train, I had to go all the way to Sapporo Station, which was a bit of a hassle. The bus arrived at the stop 15 minutes before departure, and the driver was friendly, so I boarded safely. The bus was much nicer than I expected, which made me even more satisfied. The seats were comfortable, and there were even curtains to protect the passengers. The bus left right on time and picked up more passengers at several stops along the way. As I mentioned, the JR limited express train is usually used to travel from Sapporo to Hakodate. It takes about three and a half to four hours. The bus I took took about six to six and a half hours, which is longer than the train. However, here’s another advantage of the bus: it’s less than half the price of the train . For travelers like me who are looking for value and are pressed for time, it’s a great option in many ways. My only regret is that I can’t enjoy the romance of the ekivan and train rides, which are known for their sweetness. These days, I prioritize comfort over anything else . Anyway, I’m very satisfied with the bus ride. It stopped at rest areas twice along the way, so I could use the restroom and enjoy the fresh air. I also enjoyed the snacks on the bus. I bought a sandwich and a drink at the Seicomart in front of the bus stop right before boarding the bus. Well, it’s all delicious on the bus. Especially this Georgia Cafe Latte with a Hokkaido map on it. It’s a Seicomart exclusive, but the milk flavor is truly something else. I highly recommend it. As we drove, night fell, and we finally arrived in Hakodate. Many people got off at Hakodate Station, the main station, but I got off near Goryokaku Park. It would have been convenient to find a place to stay near Hakodate Station, but the day I arrived in Hakodate coincided with a Japanese holiday weekend, making accommodations incredibly expensive. And since Goryokaku Park and the tower observatory are both must-sees for any Hakodate trip, I decided to spend just one night near Goryokaku Park. And that’s how we ended our first day. The next day, I’ll explore Goryokaku and then move to my next accommodation, where I’ll be staying for four more nights during my Hakodate trip. My next accommodation is right by the beach and close to many attractions, so I’m really looking forward to it. Anyway, I’m going to have a good time today, move to my accommodations, and rest. Wow, I can see Goryokaku Tower over there. Goryokaku Park is directly connected to the village. I passed this park on my way to my accommodation the night before… It was dark and scary yesterday , but this morning, it’s truly magnificent. With majestic pine trees and a large pond. But I’ll walk around the park later and head to the Goryokaku Observatory first. I’ll do an open run to see it when it’s less crowded . I’ve arrived at Goryokaku Tower. I bought a ticket for 1,200 yen at the entrance and went to see the real view. I took the elevator and quickly reached the observatory, and finally, the view ! Wow, daebak! The view is truly a work of art. I’m not very good at expressing myself, so please understand. Wow, looking through the slanted glass window, I can see Goryokaku Fortress and Park. Wow, it’s so beautiful, I ca n’t help but laugh. This Goryokaku is a star-shaped, pentagonal defense structure influenced by French military installations . It’s also the site of the final battle between the Tokugawa and the new government forces during the Boshin War in 1869. The Tokugawa shogunate’s defeat at the Battle of Hakodate effectively marked the beginning of the Meiji government. I was hesitant about going because the ticket price for a single view was 1,200 yen, but I saw on blogs and videos that the park itself was worth it . Anyway, I almost forgot to come. Everyone, this place is truly worth seeing. If you’re hesitant like me, it’s well worth the 1,200 yen, so definitely come. They say the place has a different feel each season. I went in the summer and it was lush and green. In the spring, the park boasts 1,600 cherry blossom trees, making it truly beautiful. In the fall, the leaves will surely turn a vibrant color, and the snow in winter will be spectacular . Anyway, everyone, I highly recommend Goryokaku Tower. Now that I’ve enjoyed the view, I’m off to grab a coffee. I went straight to Rokkatei, one of Hokkaido’s top three dessert shops, because it was nearby . But it was hidden away like some kind of secret space. Even this kind of thing is beautiful. Please look forward to it as we go inside. Ta-da! Wow! The view of Goryokaku Park through the large windows is truly beautiful. It’s so Japanese-inspired. It’s like a scene from a movie. It’s been moving me ever since my first morning in Hakodate. The Rokkatei store here opens at 10:00, but the cafe opens at 11:00, so I waited a bit and was seated right after they opened. Rokkatei’s famous dessert is the Marusei Ice Sandwich, but I had that at Sapporo Rokkatei, so I ordered something different here: crème brulee and coffee. I’m a big fan of crème brulee, but I saw it on the Rokkatei menu as a new item. So I ordered it, but it was just average. It wasn’t quite as good as the crème brulee I had at a local restaurant during my trip to Spain . Still, it was nice to have it again after a long time. Oh, and the coffee here is pretty good, too. And if you sit down at a cafe and eat, they keep refilling your coffee. I’m a coffee addict who drinks at least three cups a day, so I really appreciate the refills . But if you want to take a pretty picture, order tea. The table next to me ordered tea, and it was served in a pretty pot and cup. It had the kind of visual that women would really appreciate . Anyway, after eating so well, oh no… it starts pouring rain. Our next stop was a walk in Goryokaku Park, right next door. But I’m a planner, so I don’t mind the pouring rain. I can’t just wait for it to stop. I actually like rain . But since becoming a YouTuber, I feel bad when it rains on filming days. I can’t film properly, and the video doesn’t turn out well. I still go for a walk in the park with a slightly disheartened heart, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought that day. The rain poured down, then let up for a bit . Still, I didn’t think I could walk for long, so I crossed the park toward my lodging, and there was a small hill in the middle. I thought it was just a road and went up, but the cherry trees were planted so beautifully . But at that moment, a fantastic view came over me. It captured my eyes and heart. The rain and the wind blew, the branches and leaves swaying, and I couldn’t help but feel so beautiful and mysterious. The scent of the earth and the scent of the grass seemed to spread through my nose and fill my whole body. I stood still for a long time, feeling the raindrops falling from the trees. The smell of the grass made me take deep breaths. It was a moment I wouldn’t have appreciated if it hadn’t rained . I descended the cherry blossom-lined hill and returned to the hotel where I had left my luggage. After the rain subsided, I took the tram to my new accommodation. Finally, I arrived at the Hakoba Hakodate by the Share Hotel, where I would be staying for the next five days . It’s a hotel renovated from a former bank, and wow! This is Robin, and I loved it from the moment I walked in. It had a warm yet modern feel . The disposable amenities and robes were available for guests to take with them. The staff were also friendly, which made my first impression positive. This is the common area on the floor facing the embankment… isn’t it pretty? It has a Scandinavian interior, perhaps? Finally, I entered my room. As a budget traveler, I booked a dormitory room. The bed looked like this, the bedding was nice, and there was a small locker, which was nice. I was very satisfied with this. This is the bathroom. The bathroom was very clean, and the separate women’s shower room was really spacious and well-maintained. There was a coin-operated washer and dryer, and the shower booth was in excellent condition. Finally, let’s check out the kitchen and rooftop. The kitchen is on the top floor. Ta-da! This is the kitchen. It’s not large, but it’s well-stocked and comfortable. I won’t be cooking, but if you’re staying long-term, it’s a great place to cook. Now, the highlight of this hotel is the rooftop terrace. Wow, it’s amazing. The atmosphere is amazing, isn’t it? The ocean is literally right in front. It’s so beautiful even on a bad day. Behind you is Hachimanzaka, one of Hakodate’s symbols, and Mount Hakodate. There’s also the famous Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse, the famous restaurant Lucky Pierrot, and a Starbucks nearby . It’s even better in person than it looks on the map. Everyone, there are quite a few budget-friendly hotels in Hakodate for small single rooms. Around 80,000 to 100,000 won. My dormitory is between 40,000 and 50,000 won on weekdays. So I was a bit worried, but the accommodations have a great atmosphere and location, so I’m completely satisfied. After finishing the hotel tour and unpacking, I was really hungry. So I went to Lucky Pierrot, right next to the accommodation. Lucky Pierrot is a local fast food restaurant only found in Hakodate. It’s loved by both locals and tourists for its reasonable prices, diverse menu, and above-average taste . I ordered the best menu item, the Chinese Chicken Burger Set. The restaurant is quite unique, isn’t it? I’ll show you Lucky Pierrot’s interesting interior again at another larger restaurant. And then came the best menu item, the Chinese Chicken Burger Set. Everyone on YouTube and blogs said it was delicious, so I was really looking forward to it. Finally, I tried it, and wow, it was really delicious. It’s a burger with spicy sweet and sour chicken. And the French fries, tossed in demi-glace sauce, white sauce, and cheese sauce, were also delicious. What is this? I was instantly happy. It’s a bit of a mistake that oolong tea is included as a set menu drink, but for this price, it’s still a great deal. I was grateful and enjoyed it. I don’t need to emphasize this, but if you come to Hakodate, you’ll definitely want to try this Chinese chicken burger set! And that’s how our second day ended. This is the hotel rooftop. I enjoyed the night air while looking out at the sea before going to bed, and fell into a blissful sleep. On the third morning, I woke up incredibly early. As soon as I woke up, I washed up and had a cup of coffee on the rooftop, enjoying the morning air. Wow, why am I so happy? I guess I’m a person who thrives on small but certain happiness. I slowly got ready and left the hotel. There was this cute statue in front of the hotel. It’s called the Girl Wearing Red Shoes. Isn’t it beautiful? When I travel, I find joy and wonder in even the smallest things. I enjoy that in everyday life, but anyway, after a short walk, I came across the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses . Red Brick Warehouses , which are seven in total, were built in 1887. They are currently used as a shopping mall. Oh, but looking closely, the red building, white door, and detailed decorations are truly beautiful. This is actually a popular tourist spot, but perhaps because it was so early in the morning, there were no people around. I had a very leisurely morning stroll. Next, I walked for 20 minutes to the Hakodate Morning Market, Ekini Market. I wanted to explore the market and have breakfast. The market is quite lively and large. I thought it was only outdoor, but there’s also a large indoor market. After exploring for a while, I came to a kaisendon restaurant that I had searched for and found after much searching . Chamu Seafood Restaurant. This place is apparently more popular with locals than tourists. As expected, there was a wait, but we got in faster than expected. I also won the tachiseki (rice bowl) today. I ordered the Hakodate Rice Bowl, which was at the top of the menu. Isn’t it amazing, everyone? Look at the sea urchin, crab meat, and salmon roe. You can tell they’re fresh just by looking at them. And this place is famous for its variety of side dishes, not just for its delicious taste . It’s perfect for a side dish lover like me. I thoroughly enjoyed both the kaisendon and the side dishes. I was completely satisfied. Oh, but now that I’ve passed, I regret not having the hairy crab miso soup. I heard the hairy crab miso soup here is really delicious, so I’ll definitely have it next time I go. Anyway, eating such a delicious kaisendon in the morning made me feel great. For dessert, I had the famous Yubari melon from Hokkaido. It was delicious, wasn’t it? Hmm. The melons we eat in Korea are also delicious, so it wasn’t anything special. Still, it was a great dessert after the kaisendon. We headed back to the seaside and in the afternoon, we went to explore the opposite side of the place we visited in the morning. A must-see on any Hakodate trip! We climbed the famously beautiful Hachimanzaka slope, and the surrounding houses were truly beautiful. Hakodate was one of the first cities in Japan to open its ports, so it has a lot of Western-style architecture. Ah! “zaka” means hill. Wow, I’m only halfway up, but the view is amazing. The climb wasn’t difficult for me, but it might vary. If it’s difficult, I think you can just take it easy. The scenery here is beautiful, so I took a look around. Finally, I reached the top of the hill and looked back. Wow, it’s so pretty. The seaside cityscape seemed to glow softly. I had to take a picture of my life here, but I was traveling solo. Other travelers seemed busy taking pictures, but I couldn’t miss it, so I barely managed to get it after asking someone . There are many famous spots near Hachimanzaka, so I’m going to take a leisurely stroll around. This is a Japanese-style building built in 1882 and is currently operated as a cafe. Since my schedule is tight today, I’ll come back later. But the walking path is really pretty. It’s really nice just to walk. And then I arrived at the Old Hakodate Public Hall! The blue, gray, and yellow colors really stand out. It’s really impressive. It costs 300 yen to see the interior, but I’m going to go in. This public hall is a Western-style building from the Meiji period, and it was used as a residence by the Emperor when he visited Hokkaido, and it was also used for local events. I thought it wouldn’t be much, but there was more to see than I thought. The best part was the view from the second-floor terrace. Ta-da. This is the view of Hakodate from the public hall terrace. Even though it’s a second-floor terrace, the view is wide open, making it a great place. Suddenly, a thought occurred to me: I want to see this view to my heart’s content for just a few days. It’s such a shame to only see this briefly. My desire to stay here for a month grew even stronger. Everyone, if you come here, be sure to come inside to see the interior, and especially the view from the terrace. It’s well worth the 300 yen. After a good look around, I’m sad to say goodbye, but let’s head to the next stop: the former British Consulate. We pass Motomachi Park, located below the public hall . The park is quite simple and clean. It’s not particularly pretty, but rather has a refreshing feel. Walking down through the park, you’ll come across the former British Consulate. Let’s take a quick look around the interior, which is free to view. I heard there’s a place inside the building where you can enjoy afternoon tea, and it’s quite nice. Now, let’s head outside and head toward the garden. Wow, from the front, it’s a beautiful, if not flashy, European-style building with a refined feel. What I really love most about it is the garden. While there are quite a few tourists outside, this garden is the epitome of tranquility. As an introvert, I find it healing. The sound of the fountain is also pleasant. It’s so relaxing that I stayed for a while. Leaving the garden, I headed to the next course. I finally found a manhole cover with a squid design. It’s the symbol of Hakodate, the squid. Now, we’ll visit a series of churches . The first one is the Christ Church. Built in 1860, it’s said to be the first Russian Orthodox church in Japan. Being here really feels like being in Russia. As I strolled around, I was reminded of my trip to Russia. It was a real reminiscing experience. Next, we’ll head to the red-roofed cathedral over there, called Motomachi Cathedral. It was built in 1924 by the French missionary Mermet de Casilon. It was fun to see a European-style cathedral after such a long time. Photography was prohibited inside, so I couldn’t take any photos. Now, we’ll head to the last stop on our architectural tour, St. John’s Church. This is an English Protestant church. The architectural style, with its open sides creating a framed effect, is truly stunning. It feels like the sky is within a picture frame. After enjoying the view, we descend Hachimanzaka and head back to the ocean. The weather is beautiful, and the color of the ocean is truly beautiful. However, after walking around all day, I’m tired. I was planning to go back to my hotel to rest, but I was so thirsty that I decided to go to Starbucks and have a cold drink . Everyone, this Starbucks has a great atmosphere. Isn’t the view of the red brick warehouse outside the window particularly beautiful? There’s also a terrace with an ocean view, but I decided to cool off and drink inside. I ordered an iced matcha latte. It was absolutely delicious. If you visit Starbucks in Japan, I highly recommend the matcha latte. Next up is today’s final stop. I’ve arrived at Hakodate Station to see the night view. I’m planning to take the mountain bus from the stop in front of Hakodate Station to climb Mount Hakodate. Hakodate, which has an observatory, is usually reached by ropeway, but the ropeway is expensive and requires a long wait, so I chose the mountain bus. The views of the city from the bus ride are also beautiful. The view of Hakodate from the bus at sunset is truly breathtaking. Now, as we climb the mountain, if you sit on the right side, you’ll get this view of Hakodate . Finally, we arrive at the Mount Hakodate Observatory. First, I check the return bus schedule and head towards the observatory. This is the side with the sunset view rather than the view itself. I chose the observatory side, and as I’d heard, it was really crowded. It seems all the tourists in Hakodate are here. Finally, I see the view! It’s a breathtaking view. The hourglass-shaped landmass on the beautiful coastline is adorable, and I arrived before sunset . I recommend coming in the late afternoon like I did to enjoy the daylight, the gradual transition to night, and the night view. It feels different every time. But if you’re pressed for time, I recommend the night view. Hakodate’s night view is said to be one of Japan’s top three night views, and it’s truly fantastic. Sadly, I’ll just take a commemorative photo and head down. Hakodate is truly a jewel of a city. Day four. Today, it’s been raining steadily since morning. Rain is forecast for tomorrow as well, so I decided to take a break. I’ve been finding that when I travel, I prefer resting rather than seeing and doing a lot. Perhaps it’s because I’m feeling stale, but I’m trying to change my travel style. This morning, I start with a warm cup of coffee at Starbucks, just a three-minute walk from my hotel. Everyone, I love this Starbucks. Maybe it’s because it’s raining outside, but it feels even cozier today. It’s bustling during the day, so I came here in the morning and it’s quiet, perfect for resting. The smell of coffee in the morning is also lovely. This is the seat I’ve been wanting to snuggle in. It’s even better sitting here, with a view of the Red Brick Warehouse. Yesterday, it was full, so I couldn’t sit. As I sit down to drink my coffee, I just stare at the view outside the window. You know how seeing the same thing as it is different from seeing it through a frame? The rain was getting heavier, so I was able to sit there for a while. I wanted to stretch out even longer, but I was hungry. The rain was so heavy that I couldn’t go far, so I went to the Lucky Pierrot Marina Suehiro branch right next door. This is a large store right next to the ocean. Oh, the interior is so Lucky Pierrot-esque. It’s somehow retro yet kitschy. It’s fun just to look at. There’s always a wait here, but perhaps because of the lighting, there was no one there, so I ordered quickly. I also found a seat by the window. I had the Chinese Chicken Burger before, so this time I ordered another favorite, the Chinese Chicken Curry. It must be delicious, right? The portion is generous. It was 1,056 yen, including a drink . It’s great value for money. I ordered this drink because the can was pretty. It tasted like a slightly strong Mountain Dew. It wasn’t exactly delicious, but the cans were so pretty that I bought two to take back to Korea. The chicken curry really exceeded my expectations. Japan is really good at curry. It was delicious. As I mentioned, this chicken, like sweet and sour chicken, is sweet and salty and delicious. I don’t usually eat spicy food, but since I’m traveling, I’m going on a food adventure! I eat a lot of spicy food. But this makes me drink a lot of water. Actually, when I first ate Lucky Pierrot food, I thought I wouldn’t be able to eat it often, but I’ve already been here twice. It’s good value for money, delicious, and has a variety of menu items. Plus, it’s right next to my accommodation, so I couldn’t not come. Anyway, if you come to Hakkōdate, you really have to go to Lucky Pierrot . It’s delicious, but the unique atmosphere adds to the fun of the trip. Because it was raining. Even after eating, it was still raining. I was thinking about taking a nap at the hotel, but then I realized there was a cafe I really wanted to go to. After some thought, I decided to go. It was raining in Hakodate. It didn’t seem like a bad idea to fully enjoy it . It was about a 30-minute walk from my hotel to the cafe, so I decided to walk to see some sights. But once I left the touristy beach and the red brick area, there were no people in sight. It was definitely a neighborhood where people lived, but no matter how much it rained, I didn’t see a single person walking around. The rain and the absence of people gave it a mysterious feeling. As I walked, I came across a cemetery . When I travel, I’m always curious! I took a quick look around and kept walking. But this time, I was curious about another unique building, so I looked it up on Google Maps . It was a Buddhist temple called Koryo-sa. I couldn’t just pass it up. I went in to explore, and the building was beautifully decorated with sculptures. The rain made the temple even more atmospheric. I was just about to leave when it suddenly started pouring down rain. It was so heavy that the view was blurry. I had no choice but to stand there for a while. I didn’t time it, but I think it was about 30 minutes. But it wasn’t boring at all; it was wonderful. I had been looking forward to this trip with great anticipation and excitement. My passion as a travel YouTuber, to capture the wonderful moments. And the deep-seated breath I hadn’t been able to fully exhale due to my busy schedule. It felt like all of that was just letting go. Anyway, I felt incredibly refreshed. I waited for the rain to stop, and when it finally subsided, I headed back to the cafe. Just a moment ago, the rain had been pouring down, and I’d thought, “Today’s trip is a bust,” but that thought vanished. Walking through the rain felt so wonderful. The rain was so heavy that I couldn’t think of anything else. The only sound I could hear was the rain , and it felt like it was clearing my mind . It was so refreshing and wonderful that I barely managed to suppress my screams. Before I knew it, I arrived at the cafe. And, surprisingly enough, as soon as I entered the cafe, the sky began to clear. This cafe has a fairytale-like atmosphere with an ocean view, and the cafe itself is incredibly pretty. I ordered first and found a seat by the ocean. The calm ocean and the warm sunlight after the rain were visible through the window, and just as I was dazed by this scenery, my Steamed Bun Set arrived. Wow, it was beautiful just to look at. But the best part was that the rain had stopped and the ocean began to look clearer . I thought I wouldn’t be able to see the beautiful ocean because it was raining so hard . But I enjoyed the rain on the way here , so I didn’t mind not seeing the ocean. But now , I was so grateful to be able to see the ocean from such a beautiful cafe. The bread and drink, which tasted like alcohol bread, weren’t that great, but with such a nice atmosphere, who cares what taste is? So, I sat there, staring at the ocean, doing my specialty, blanking out, and taking plenty of photos of the cafe. I was planning to head straight back to my accommodations, but I couldn’t help but feel a pang of regret . Instead, I headed down to see the ocean. There was a path down the cafe that led closer to the ocean . I would have loved to see the sunset, but that would have made it too late, so I decided to take a quick look. A little further down, I came across a seaside village. The view wasn’t clear because of the grass and breakwater, but it was still a close-up. I’m glad I came down. On the way back, I passed through this seaside village . According to Google Maps, if you continue this way, there’s a road that connects to the main road. The houses are so cute and charming. I walked out onto the main road and took the tram to Daimon Yokocho, Hakodate’s izakaya district. I was planning to have dinner there. However, the yakitori restaurant I wanted to go to, Yakitori Gonchan, was closed. Oh, I heard this yakitori place was so delicious, I really wanted to try it, but oh well, there’s nothing I can do. After wondering what to eat, I decided to try shio ramen, a must-try in Hakodate. Actually, there was a place I really wanted to try shio ramen at, called Chiyoken, a famous shio ramen restaurant. But they’d been closed for a month. So I went to “Easy Sai,” a chain restaurant known for its decent salt ramen . You have to order at a kiosk before you go in, but the kiosk had Korean, so I ordered the shio ramen without any trouble. I walked into the restaurant and it was clean and nice. Wow, the ramen came out about 10 seconds after I sat down. Super fast. This is shio ramen, and it looked average, and tasted average. Maybe I was expecting too much, but for me, it was just edible . I think miso ramen is much tastier. Anyway, I was hungry, so I finished it all. Oh, and I tried adding pepper and chili oil to enhance the flavor, but it was a total disaster. In Thailand, where I travel often, adding these seasonings to the noodles really enhances the flavor. I added that, and it was a complete failure. Still, tasting the shio ramen made me feel like I’d accomplished some homework. Shio ramen cleared. After dinner, I returned to my accommodation, rested for a bit, and then went for a night walk, wrapping up my fourth day. Since my accommodation was near the beach, I could enjoy the night sea view to my heart’s content. Day five. Tomorrow is my return to Korea. So I really wanted to enjoy today, but it’s raining since morning. But even if it rains, I still need to eat breakfast. I’m at the Eki Morning Market. I’m going to eat a lot of kaisendon before I go back to Korea. Today’s restaurant is Ebisu Sushi Shukodo! I heard it was delicious, but as expected, the line is long. While waiting, looking at the pictures of the food in front of the restaurant makes me even hungrier. I’ve already decided on today’s menu. I’m in Hakodate but haven’t tried the local specialty, squid, so I’m going to have the squid uni kaisendon for breakfast today. After waiting for almost 30 minutes, I finally got inside. I ordered the squid uni donburi. It looks amazing, right? I love uni, I love squid. I really got to taste uni this time, and as for squid, I love mollusks like squid, octopus, and squid . It’s delicious. It’s not soft, but it’s incredibly chewy. It’s delicious, but if you have bad teeth, it might not be easy to eat. Anyway, it was delicious. This restaurant is not only delicious, but the good thing is that they sell it in large, medium, and small (L, M, S) sizes. I had the medium (M), but if you don’t eat a lot, I think the small (S) size would be good. You have to eat a lot when you travel. Anyway, I left some. There was a restaurant I wanted to go to right away. Since I only had time today, I went straight to have a second breakfast. The place for my second breakfast was ‘Asaichi Shukodo Nibankan’, a restaurant on the second floor of the indoor market famous for its super cheap 500 yen kaisendon. I heard that it’s pretty good for the price. Honestly, I wasn’t really hungry, but I was curious. I wondered what a 500 yen kaisendon would be like. I went inside and the restaurant was quite spacious. Like most of the restaurants I’ve been to during this trip. I was already waiting, so I’m so happy to be able to skip the wait and come right in. Looking at the menu, there are a lot of great value items. The presentation is also nice. If I were to spend a month in Hakodate, I’d definitely be a regular here . True to my purpose for coming here , I ordered the 500 yen kaisendon as my first order. Ta-da! This is the 500 yen kaisendon. I couldn’t help but smile when I received my food . The toppings were very sparse. Still, for 500 yen, I should be grateful. My first taste was just average. But it got better the more I ate. Of course, this will vary from person to person, but I really liked the rice here . Anyway, it was just okay at first, but the more I ate, the more satisfied I became with this kaisendon. Everyone, I highly recommend all the kaisendon restaurants I visited in Hakodate . But if you ask me to pick just one, I’d recommend Chamu Seafood Restaurant, which I went to first . I was completely satisfied with both the portions and the flavor. Anyway, I showed my professionalism as a travel YouTuber and had a second breakfast . When I left the restaurant, it started pouring rain. It was downpour. Now, I was beyond the rain, so I looked around the indoor market before heading out. There’s a stamp here: a squid stamp. I waited for the rain to let up while browsing the market, and then just left. It was raining, but I was still leaving tomorrow, so I decided to stick to my plan. I took the number 2 tram from the stop near Hakodate Station and rode for about 20 minutes to Yachigashira. Wow! But what about this view right after I got off the stop? Hakodate feels so quiet and peaceful even just a little bit away from the bustling city. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the stop to my destination. I love walking in this kind of atmosphere. It’s really beautiful. It was like that yesterday, but wouldn’t it be even more beautiful today with the rain? After walking a little, I came across my destination marker: Thachimachi Cape. It ‘s uphill from here. Guys, there are cemeteries on either side of me . Why are there so many cemeteries in Hakodate? I looked it up and there are several reasons, but one of them is that they are communal cemeteries created by the influx of foreigners following the opening of the port. Anyway, the ocean is right next to the cemeteries on the left, but it’s raining, so I can’t really see the ocean. If the weather was nice, it would be really pretty. But I don’t have time to think about that. The more I go, the more I feel the pressure builds. As we continue uphill, the rain pours down like buckets . So I pause for a moment and stand on the side of the road. Five minutes later, we start again. Just a little further. Wow, I can see the ocean over there. Along the way, I spot a fence decorated with squid. I’m afraid the rain will pour down again , so I naturally quicken my pace. Braving the rain, I finally reach my destination. This is my last stop on this trip: Cape Tachimachi. Wow, it’s a work of art. I’ve rarely been to Japan . I’ve only been to Osaka four or five times on business, Fukuoka once, and Tokyo only fleetingly. Who knew Japan had such magnificent nature ? Anyway, it was worth braving the rain. It feels so refreshing. In the photos, the sea looked incredibly blue, but today, the weather isn’t so great, so it’s not that blue… but the scenery of the mountains, cliffs, and sea is truly spectacular and breathtaking. This place doesn’t seem to be a popular tourist destination, but I highly recommend it. It feels completely different from the sea in front of our accommodation. The sea here has a wild, natural feel, almost like nature. I enjoyed exploring Tachimachi Cape. Wow! But the way back feels completely different from the way here. With the sun out, the sea and the road to the right are really pretty, right? Of course, there are graveyards on both sides. And that uphill road. It’s downhill now, but I was able to walk it easily, but most people came by car. If you’re scared or have limited stamina, I recommend driving. I got thirsty on the way there, so I stopped by this beachside view cafe, but it’s closed. There’s nothing I can do. I’ll have to hurry back to my accommodation and have a cold beer. On my way to my accommodation, I see a Seicomart. This Seicomart is a convenience store only found in Hokkaido. Everyone, I hear the food here is really good. I’ll buy some things I found while browsing. I’m going to drink beer, so I’ll buy some cheese and salami to go with it. And since Hokkaido is famous for dairy, I’ll also get this cream bun! And do you see this Hokkaido map? If you look at the Seicomart products, there’s one with a Hokkaido map on it . It’s their own product. The quality is pretty good, I hear. And this is the Hot Chef corner, where they sell freshly cooked food . I heard the food here is also delicious, but I’m having trouble digesting it because I ate a lot for breakfast. This is the famous Yama Wasabi Shio Ramen. I’ll buy it. However, when I tried the wasabi ramen later in Korea, I didn’t really like it. I don’t understand why it’s so popular . Lastly, I chose melon ice cream. This is said to be one of the must-eats at Seicomart, and it’s really delicious. The melon flavor is quite strong, and you can really taste the smoothness of ice cream . The cone part is delicious. Unlike the typical cookie cones we know, it has a chewy texture? Anyway, it was really delicious. I was full, but as the trip neared its end, I couldn’t help but think about what I missed. So, I went back to my room and opened the bag and ate it. I was filming a YouTube video, so I put some convenience store food on a plate. I started with the bread… Oh, this isn’t just any cream bread, it’s a big choux. It just melts in your mouth. Melts. It’s high quality for a convenience store bread. It’s so delicious, I can’t help but smile, and then I’m suddenly reminded of the choux at Kitakaro, one of Hokkaido’s top three dessert spots. The choux there is truly a work of art. I discovered the true flavor of choux during this trip. Next up is this inexpensive salami-like treat. This one is also salty and delicious. It’s the perfect beer snack, and for a little over 100 yen, it’s incredibly affordable. It ‘s completely worth the price. This cream cheese-like treat is delicious, beyond words . They say Japanese convenience stores have tons of delicious food, so next time I come, I’ll do some research and try everything from Seicomart, 7-Eleven, Lawson, and Family Mart. After eating so much, I lounged around on the rooftop of my hotel to digest the food. I think I’ll miss this place the most when I return to Korea. Oh, I’m already sad to be leaving. I ate so much that I fought to stay awake, but I couldn’t resist and ended up falling asleep. I think I slept for over two hours. Then I got up and went for a night walk. My hotel is right next to the Akarenga Warehouse by the sea, which is so nice. This is the atmosphere right outside my room. Tonight, I’m planning to take a quick look around the Akarenga Warehouse. It closes in five minutes, so I’ll just take a quick look. I’m not very materialistic, so I don’t really enjoy window shopping, so a quick look like this is enough. I took a quick look, and the prices seem reasonable. If you enjoy shopping, it might be worth stopping by. I need to have dinner, but my plan was to go somewhere like an izakaya for some Japanese snacks and drinks, but I’m too lazy. And I just woke up, so my face and hair are a mess. In the end, I decided to grab a quick bite at the supermarket and went to the Coop Mart, which was just a five-minute walk from my accommodation. It’s a fairly large supermarket, so I wanted to browse around. I don’t know why I find supermarkets so fun when I’m abroad. I said I don’t like window shopping, but I do enjoy window shopping for vegetables, fruits, and other groceries. I was looking around for dinner, but maybe because I arrived late, I couldn’t see anything like sushi or chicken. Instead, this was left: fried squid. And since it was on sale for 50% off, I couldn’t resist. And natto kimbap. I was a little nervous because it was my first time trying it, but I was still curious, so I picked that one too. I also bought some fish cakes, a must-eat when you’re in Japan. I also bought a few snacks to take back to Korea. Back at my accommodation, I started dinner right away. But after setting the table, I realized I only bought greasy food. Oh, I thought this was milk, but it’s actually drinkable yogurt. But you guys, this is really delicious. Japan sells so many delicious things, even at convenience stores and supermarkets, that it makes me want to stay another month. There are a lot of limited-time sales going on at department stores and convenience stores , so it seems like a great way to travel economically. This natto kimbap was my first time, so it wasn’t easy to eat, but I’ll definitely try it again next time . It’s not my cup of tea right now, but I think I’ll be hooked after a few bites . And so, my last night in Hakodate passes. My last day in Hakodate. It rained for two days straight, but on the day of departure, the weather was perfect for a trip. I guess they’re showing off this beautiful scenery to make me feel even more sad. I checked out of my hotel. My flight from Hakodate to Incheon is in the afternoon, so I have some free time, so I’m going to take a walk around the area, visit a cafe, and have a meal. I’m going to check out the cafe near the Hachimanzaka statue I passed by earlier. It opens at 10 a.m., so I slowly make my way up Hachimanzaka. Finally, I arrive at Kiku Izumi. This cafe building was built in 1882 and was actually inhabited until 1990. I’m so curious to see what it looked like. As soon as it opened at 10 o’clock, I walked into the cafe, and as expected, it was filled with Japanese homes. It was quiet and cozy, but honestly, I guess I had really high expectations. It was a bit more ordinary than I expected, but it was a nice place to spend the last moments of my trip in peace . There are many famous attractions nearby, so it seems like a great cafe to take a break from sightseeing. The weather makes Hakkoda-te look even prettier. Ah, I wish I could stay for just two more days. I have a sun allergy, but I didn’t mind, so I stood there in the blazing sun. I also checked out some Bay Shopping that I hadn’t seen before. There’s even more to see and buy here than yesterday . Of course, I didn’t buy anything. Oh, but I did get a Hakkoda-te stamp in a corner of the mall as a souvenir. I’ll probably wrap up my sightseeing here, have lunch, and head to Panggang in time. Hmm. I wanted to have my last meal at the restaurant in my hotel, but it’s closed. It would have been a perfect lunch if I could have had the food outside, but it’s a shame. I had no choice but to win the lucky draw for my last meal. There are quite a few good restaurants in Hakodate, but since I had to head to the airport soon, I didn’t want to move around much. So I just decided to go somewhere nearby and eat. Lucky’s reminded me of Korea, so I ordered the cheese chicken omelet for my last meal. It was a bit spicy, but it was still delicious. I picked up my luggage from my hotel and headed to the Hakodate Train Station to catch the airport bus. The airport bus is available at stop number 11, but there weren’t any buses at 12:00, 2:00, or 4:00. Of course, this may change depending on the flight schedule. The bus arrived and I hopped on it and headed to the airport. Wow, the road to the airport is beautiful. You can see the ocean to the right. The airport is not far, about 20 to 25 minutes by car. Finally, I arrived at the airport. The bus leaves from the domestic terminal at Hakodate Airport , but the international terminal is right next to the domestic terminal. Hakodate Airport itself is small, so moving between buildings is quick. They say there’s nothing on the national terminal side, but it really is. So, most people spend their time on the domestic side until the check-in counters open. I was sitting on the domestic side, but when it was time to check in, I went back to the national side. The more I look at this airport, the cuter it gets. This international side? It really has everything. It’s the smallest airport I’ve ever seen. After checking in, I entered the duty-free area, and there was a small duty-free shop. I bought some strawberry white chocolates at Rokkatei. Now it’s time to leave Hakodate. I’m going to catch my flight. Hakodate was really, really great. I’ve been to Japan several times for business and pleasure, but I’ve never once thought about going back. But this Hokkaido trip was truly wonderful. The city, the nature, the food, everything. Hakodate was especially great. Maybe it’s because I like leisurely and comfortable travel destinations, but next time I come, I really want to spend a little more time and feel like a local . Anyway, I’m so disappointed that I won’t be back until it’s too late. Hokkaido. I hesitated a bit and showed you my travel routine, so the video ended up being quite long. Thank you so much for watching. I’ll be back with another amazing video. Thank you.
