金沢ひとり旅|朝7時、静かな金沢を歩く。|カフェ・ひがし茶屋街・香林居ホテル vlog
Kanazawa, a city of art. This town is home to unique and
one-of-a-kind cafes, hotels and libraries. So this time, Take your time to browse the cafes, enjoy
the hotels and art. good morning. It’s currently 7:45 in the morning. We arrived at Kanazawa Station in
Ishikawa Prefecture. Since it was early in the morning, the
area around the station was relatively quiet. When you think of Kanazawa Station, you
think of this large gate. One of the “world’s most beautiful train
stations” by an American travel magazine It is said to be the only one selected in
Japan. It’s bigger and more impressive than I
imagined. I’ll go for a quick walk and have
breakfast. The first place we went to in the morning
was BUNCA CAFE. This cafe is themed around the fusion of
Kanazawa’s art and culture. An artistic space with a sense of
openness…! The interior of the store is lovely with
sunlight streaming in through the large windows. There are lots of cute tables and chairs. Order at the counter. The menu includes coffee, tea and light
snacks. Light meals include sandwiches and open
sandwiches. There were also homemade baked goods in
the showcase. A generous amount of avocado on rye
bread! It also comes with walnuts and cheese. This is a cafe latte. The latte art is so cute! I’ll have some avocado toast right away. The avocado is melty and pairs perfectly
with the cheese. The more you chew the bread, the more the
rye flavor spreads. It’s a glass building, It’s so comfortable to be able to eat
while basking in the sunlight. This time I visited for breakfast, It could also be used for lunch or a
cafe. If I lived in Kanazawa, I’d definitely
come here many times. The salad and carrot rapa were also
delicious. I enjoyed a relaxing time in an art gallery-like atmosphere. Next, we will take a bus to explore
Kanazawa city. Our destination is Ishikawa Prefectural
Library The architecture is very beautiful, It seems to be a very popular spot among
locals, so I decided to check it out. Get off at Akasaka stop. I get off the bus and walk to the
library. Climb the steep stairs to reach your
destination. We arrived at Ishikawa Prefectural
Library. The building is much bigger than I
imagined. I can’t stop feeling excited. Finally, we sneak into the library! There are countless bookshelves under the
open ceiling. It’s like a theater. I can’t stop getting goosebumps. This library has four floors. There are approximately 300,000 books
available. This library opened in 2022. It was so popular that it attracted over
1 million visitors in just one year since it opened. Once you come here, you’ll understand why
it’s such a hot topic. The unique world view is breathtaking. Just walking around the building makes
you excited. It’s so vast that you might get lost. We will tour the museum in order while
looking at the map. The bookshelves were organized by theme. There are many unique themes, such as
“Going out into the world” and “Learning about life.” You might even come across an unexpected
book or a new book. I really enjoy taking a walk while
reading a book. I found a book about Japan’s beautiful
hot springs. A public bath is like a small art museum. A book introducing Japanese public baths
written by a French woman who is fascinated by public baths. There are just so many books on such
interesting topics. There is also a manga corner. There are manga of various genres. I wonder if there are any manga by manga
artists from Ishikawa Prefecture…? And there were still more surprises. That’s a chair. There are over 100 different types of
chairs in the building. There are a total of 500 seats. I’m not sure where to sit and read. There are some strangely shaped chairs. There are cute colored chairs too. There were also chairs with charging
stations. Inside, you’ll find cute foreign-made
chairs and sofas. There were some sunny seats too. It’s good to find a book that interests
you, It’s also a lot of fun finding your
favorite seat. There was also a corner where the charms
of Ishikawa Prefecture were exhibited. Kaga Mizuhiki, a traditional craft from
Ishikawa Prefecture Kaga Mizuhiki, a traditional craft from
Ishikawa Prefecture The delicate design is beautiful. It’s a place where you can experience
Ishikawa Prefecture’s culture and aesthetic sense through more than just
books. It feels more like being in a museum than
a library. In the quiet air, some people read books
and others gaze at the scenery. There were a lot of different people
having fun and it was a really nice space. Before I knew it, I had been in the
library for about three hours. That was just too comfortable… And now I’m walking down the street near
the library. I’m heading there because there’s a cafe
nearby. The view is so beautiful… It’s a very peaceful town. I found some stairs on the path, so I
went up. Quite steep stairs… It’s just a little detour. These moments are probably some of my
favorites when traveling. It’s about a 7-minute walk… We have arrived at our destination. Look for the sign. The first floor is a cafe and the second
floor is a pottery shop. I thought it smelled nice, There was a golden osmanthus tree near
the shop. I immediately went inside the store. The interior of the store has a relaxed,
homey atmosphere. The furniture is apparently antique and
imported from Scandinavia. It’s just so stylish. On the walls are pictures of the cafe’s
menu items. I found a Kanazawa sticker. I was shown to my seat. The menu cover is so cute. This is the drink menu. Drinks include coffee, tea, and cold
juices. Snacks included hot dogs and waffles. In fact, this coffee shop used to have a
branch in Tokyo. It no longer exists, but it was once so
popular that about 700 people visited the restaurant every day. It’s so beautiful… The green color stands out. The vanilla ice cream is also delicious! Now, I’m going to go see the pottery on
the second floor. All the dishes sold are handmade by the
owner. The concept is “tableware that can be
used daily for a long time and that will make your life a little more enjoyable.” These exquisitely cute plates blend
Nordic and Japanese styles. Prices are reasonable, ranging from 1,000
to 3,000 yen. As stated in a Google Maps review, The owner was very kind and we had a
wonderful time. I’m back in the city. I’d like to check into the hotel where
I’ll be staying tonight. Tonight we’ll be staying at Korinkyo. The hotel is 10 stories tall. It features an arched exterior. The first thing you see when you enter is
the shop. Hotel amenities such as shampoo and
treatment are sold here. I’ll go into the room later and take a
closer look. The room I’ll be staying in tonight is on
the 5th floor. I’ll get on the elevator. Arrived on the 5th floor. A cave-like hallway. You will be drawn into the unique
worldview. The room I’ll be staying in is room 502. This room features a king-size bed under
a small arch. A bed that will give you a good night’s
sleep! There is a minibar on the coffee table. The cups are Kutani ware, a traditional
craft from Ishikawa Prefecture. It features a gradient design that
resembles the sunset after a rain in Ishikawa. This is the hotel’s original cup. There were two types of tea. One is Taiwanese tea. The other is herbal tea. First, I decided to try some Taiwanese
tea. There was a tea bag in it. Boil water in a Balmuda. It boils in no time. So convenient. The moment you pour hot water in, the
delicious aroma of tea hits you! I don’t know the right amount, so I just
add a lot of hot water. Cover and steam. Wait 3 to 4 minutes. Pour into a cute cup. It smells nice. When poured into a cup, the color is very
beautiful. Drinking tea slowly like this at a hotel It feels much more special than drinking
it at home. To accompany the Taiwanese tea, we have
the Taiwanese sweet “Xue Q Bing” Is it a sweet similar to nougat? White and soft to the touch. It was delicious with a milk base and
nuts. It goes well with Taiwanese tea. Well, I found the hotel’s original book. Since I have the chance, I’ll read a bit
of it. This book describes the background to the
hotel’s construction, its history, and its facilities. It was written in detail about the
details of the furniture and tableware used, The more I read, the more I’m captivated
by this hotel. And this hotel is 10 stories tall. This time I stayed in the smallest
room,
but I’d like to try the other rooms as well. In addition to the guest rooms, there are
also private saunas and spas. I also heard there is a lounge that is open from 7am to 11pm, so I’d like to go
there. We arrived at the lounge on the second
floor. An incredibly stylish space… There are also books about Kanazawa in
the lounge. There are so many books that you can’t
read them all in just one night… Here, guests can enjoy all-you-can-drink
drinks exclusively available to them! There were mocktails, wine, and Kanazawa
sake. Sweet and sour taste ◎ I was able to relax while reading a book. I would like to take a bath. The bathroom is a space based on white. Cleanliness is good ◎ The hand soap has a refreshing citrus
scent. Check the shower room. It’s white and beautiful…! Shampoo, treatment, and body soap are all provided. All are from the hotel’s
original brand, Petrichor. Lavender and all the other scents are
nice. Towels include bath towels and hand
towels. It’s thick and seems to absorb water
well. There was also body milk. Skin care products include makeup
remover, face wash, lotion, and emulsion. The amenities were natural, called
HAJIMARI ORGANIC. I’m glad they have two sets ready, one
for tonight and one for tomorrow morning! I’ll check out the amenities too. Cotton swabs and cotton pads. Toothbrush set. The toothbrush is made of bamboo. It had the Korin-kyo logo on it. 2 sets of hair ties. There were also earplugs. And a comb. This one is also made of bamboo and has
the Korin-kyo logo on it. It would be a shame to throw it away. And the hotel’s original pajamas. It has a relaxed yet clean silhouette. The color was too cute ◎ Now that I’ve had a bath, I’d like to
show you some of the things I bought in Kanazawa. I bought it at Kanazawa Urata, a
long-established Japanese confectionery shop that was founded about 90 years ago. It was possible to purchase from 1 piece
◎ Her expression is relaxed and cute… Because it is an auspicious sweet, Not only a souvenir, but also perfect for
celebrations. It’s wrapped in paper, so open it. (It’s so cute I almost don’t want to open
it!) Cute◎ Let’s take a quick look at the contents. It simply contained red bean paste. Next are the plates I bought at Cafe
Cocrico. Each plate is handmade by the owner. First, a small plate. I bought it because the yellow and green
floral pattern was cute. It would be cute to put a cake on this
plate. Next is the white plate. I bought it because the shape was cute. This plate can be used for salads. It was a thin and stylish plate. And finally, a slightly unusual dish. It is a deep plate with dots around it. I bought it because of its unique design. I wanted to make curry and eat it on this
plate. It’s time for bed. The king size bed is so comfortable… Good morning. I would have liked to stay in bed longer,
but there are tourist spots I want to visit and
avoid the crowds. I’m going for an early morning walk. The park near the hotel. Miraculously, the second day was sunny as
well, which made me so happy. The sunlight is beautiful~~ There were few people around, so I was
glad I got up early in the morning. But surprisingly, there are quite a few
people out walking in the morning. Everyone gets up early in the morning… I left the hotel and walked around
Kanazawa Castle. The atmosphere in Kanazawa in the morning
is just amazing. There are people walking and running on
the main street. Once you enter the path, there are no
people around, which is very pleasant. There’s little traffic noise,
so it’s
nice to be able to take a leisurely stroll. We will cross the river. The weather was so good the view was
spectacular. We arrived at Higashi Chaya District. This is the perfect spot to experience
Kanazawa’s charming streets. This area is filled with people during
the day, I wanted to come here at this time of the
morning when there are fewer people around. This place is characterized by its
cobblestone streets. It used to be a bustling teahouse
district lined with teahouses where you could have fun with
geisha. The buildings have now been renovated and house cafes and general stores. The exterior remains the same, but the
inside is modern and stylish. Just walking around is fun, and there are
plenty of places that make you want to take photos. I was glad to come during the quiet hours
of the morning. I found a retro Western restaurant. The shop has a history of over 110 years. The food samples look so delicious! There were omelet rice and hayashi rice
etc. The lunch was too extravagant… Next, we arrived at the area next to
Higashi Chaya District. This area has also been designated as an
important national conservation area. The beautiful townscape along the Asano
River is wonderful. There are many traditional restaurants
and teahouses lined up here. It leads to an amazing trail! A distinctive feature of this area is
that it has quite a few slopes. The roads are narrow and it’s like a
maze. It’s really quiet and just walking around
is so much fun. It’s a picturesque worldview. There are no people around in the
morning,
so it’s especially recommended for people who like a calm atmosphere. After a long walk, we decided to make a
detour to a cafe. I found a cafe that was open early in the
morning, so I headed there. There are no tourists on the streets
yet,
only a few locals walking around. Mornings in Kanazawa are calm and
peaceful wherever you walk. It feels good to feel the time passing
slowly. Angolo CAFFE, a renovated 120-year-old
townhouse This cafe is run by an owner who loves
Italy. It’s a small space with 6 counter seats
and 6 table seats. Seasonal food and drinks available. Drinks include authentic espresso coffee,
tea, and homemade juices. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant
sandwich. It’s packed with lots of vegetables and
is very filling. For drinks, I ordered a cafe latte. Cute latte art. The croissants are crispy on the outside
and fluffy on the inside. The saltiness of the ham and the savory
flavor of the cheese are just right and it’s delicious. It’s packed with vegetables and is
perfect for breakfast. The cafe latte has just the right amount
of sweetness from the milk, making it easy to drink. I am very satisfied. There was a shrine nearby, so we took a
little detour. We have arrived at Yasue Hachiman Shrine. This is a place for matchmaking and good
fortune. It is known as a shrine that can help you
make various connections. Another distinctive feature is the round
lucky charms that can be found throughout the temple grounds. Hachiman-san. There are five different coloured
Hachiman: purple, white, red, yellow and green. Each one seems to have a well-defined
meaning. There is a lot of green, which represents
health and growth, and red, which represents safety and security. The gentle expression is surreal. It’s cute how they are quietly placed in
the corner. By the way, you can dedicate this
Hachiman to a shrine with your wishes in mind, Apparently it’s OK to take it home as a
good luck charm. The ema are also cute. There were also votive plaques praying
for safe childbirth. I found the office. There are also temple seals with Hachiman
embroidered on them. There were charms for warding off evil,
good health, and safe childbirth. The grounds were quiet, so it was a great
idea to come in the morning. After a long walk, we headed back to the
hotel. Arrived at the hotel. We arrived at the lounge on the second
floor. It’s the same place, but the atmosphere
is different in the morning and at night. The large windows allow you to enjoy the
cityscape of Kanazawa. In the morning, hot coffee was provided. I’m so happy to get it for free. You will receive a breakfast box at the
hotel. There was a park in front of the hotel,
so we decided to eat outside. The lunch menu is Taiwanese cuisine. Taiwanese-style steamed rice, sausage,
eggs, vegetables, tofu, etc. It’s a healthy lunch. It also came with soup and tofu pudding
for dessert. Check-out is late at 12 noon. I’ll go back to sleep and then check out. Now, I’m heading home before it gets too
crowded. The Shinkansen for the return trip is the
Hakutaka. Thanks to the odd time, there were plenty
of unreserved seats available, which was a
relief. This time in Kanazawa, I relaxed in a
cafe, spent some quiet time in the library, walked through the deserted
Chaya District in the morning, and stayed cooped up in the hotel for as
long as I wanted. It was a relaxed trip rather than a
thorough visit to tourist spots. We were really lucky that the weather was
good. Next time I would like to visit Kanazawa
on a rainy day. So that’s it for this solo trip. Thank you for your hard work.
