【三重旅】②VISON編|愛犬と食べ歩き☆ドッグテラスルームに宿泊、ディナーはサンセバスチャン市長おすすめのスペイン料理をいただき、グルメもお風呂(本草湯)も最高でした!

Hello, this is amatrip. I traveled to Mie and Nagano for five days and four nights, including sleeping in my car. My last vlog was “Sightseeing in Ise-Shima,” where I made my first pilgrimage to Ise and enjoyed the delicious food of Okage Yokocho. This time, I’ll be visiting “VISON,” a hotel I’ve always wanted to visit with Grandma Ama. I hope you’ll watch until the end. We’re heading to our lodging for the night, “VISON” in Taki Town, Mie Prefecture, much later than planned . VISON is a large commercial resort with approximately 70 stores, including a hotel, themed around “healing, food, and knowledge.” Apparently, the size of VISON is said to be “the size of 24 Tokyo Domes,” which makes sense, but I’m not sure (lol). It really is huge, lol! I’m looking forward to exploring the shops! I can see the hotel building where I’ll be staying. We’re here! We’ve arrived at our lodging for the night, “VISON.” Checking in. We weren’t sure if dogs were allowed in the front lobby, so we waited outside. They said it was okay to bring dogs to the front desk as long as they were in a buggy. After checking in, we headed to our room. Our room was in the hotel building. The front desk was on the top floor (10th floor), so we had to take the elevator from there to the 5th floor and then change elevators again. I was a little worried about whether we’d make it (lol). We safely made it to the accommodation floor (3rd floor). We walked down a long hallway. Finally, we arrived at our room! Some of Vision’s rooms allow guests to stay with their dogs, and this time we stayed in a dog terrace room. They also had a selection of dog supplies. Treats were provided. The bathroom was simple and clean. Amenities were in a cotton drawstring bag, and here’s what was inside. The bathroom was open and comfortable! The toilet was also clean, of course. It was nice to see Grandma Ama’s favorite sofa. Grandma Ama’s room exploration began! Apparently the flooring is also made of dog-friendly materials. We thoroughly checked out the terrace. Grandma Ama immediately started relaxing . They said dogs were allowed on the sofa as long as they were wearing a rug and diaper. Once we arrived at the hotel, everyone finally settled in. We live in the Kanto region, but it took over six hours by car to get to Mie Prefecture (Ise). We took a break along the way (and even overslept), toured Ise-Shima, and finally arrived at the hotel safely. We missed the sunrise at Meoto Iwa, but we did visit Ise Shrine and Yokoyama Observatory, and our first experience with Ise udon was delicious! And we were blown away by the delicious ganmo we had at Okage Yokocho! We can’t even remember the name of the ganmo we had earlier (lol). First, we took a break with a beer. We booked a two-meal plan. For dinner, we had a Spanish restaurant, which we thought would allow dogs (on the terrace), but we were told that the course plan requires dining inside the restaurant, which can get crowded, especially on weekends, making it difficult to bring dogs. (Dogs are allowed on the terrace when ordering à la carte.) I was disappointed that dogs weren’t allowed, but when I got there, it was still hot even in the evening, and the terrace seating felt a bit awkward. Plus, it gave Grandma Ama some time to rest alone, so I think it turned out to be a good thing. Before dinner, I took a little stroll. Tonight’s dinner was at a restaurant on San Sebastian Street. First, I checked the restaurant’s location. This street is home to several Spanish bars, and it looked like fun to go bar-hopping. I’d been wanting to try the evening parfait. It was the weekend, so I was able to have one! Luckily♡ Mahoro Bridge, connecting the hotel and market sides. A map of Visson. It’s so huge! I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to see everything (lol). The bakery, “Mariage de Farine,” closed at 5 p.m. It was almost time for my dinner reservation, so I headed there. It was hot, as expected (lol). Tonight’s dinner was at the Spanish restaurant, “ARATZ.” Dinner for the meal plan was divided into two sessions, and since we wanted to do some bar hopping, we started early at 5:30 PM. Vison’s meal plan allows you to freely choose from the on-site restaurants (although the options vary depending on the price), so it was fun choosing which restaurant to go to. The two of us couldn’t remember the name of the ganmo we ate at Okage Yokocho (lol). We started checking our answers ( lol). Just when you’d think they’d get more excited and start checking their answers, someone simply asked for the answer (lol). It was “hiryuzu” (“watermelon”)!! They confidently declared it was the correct answer, but…to our surprise, their answer was wrong (lol). It’s a mystery how they managed to change their answer (lol). Someone was at the mercy of the Kansai name for ganmo (lol). ” Hiryouzu”!! This time, he really got it right (lol). And there was another person at the mercy of “hiryouzu” (lol). At this point, I completely doubted my husband’s words (lol). While eating pintxos, we talked about our love for seafood (lol), but the food was also delicious! Seafood salad. Alpondigas (meatballs), my favorite ♡ Red sea bream salsa verde. Grilled Matsusaka beef. Clam paella. For dessert, Basque cheesecake ♡ I was stuffed and it was delicious! After dinner, the sunset was beautiful, so we decided to take the outdoor escalator to the top floor, where the reception is located, to watch it. The escalators go on and on. Even though the sun had already set, the distant mountains looked so beautiful. From the reception floor, we returned to our room. We were also curious about dinner at “Isurun,” the main dining room on the top floor. I was curious about the Calpis faucet. Turning on the faucet and having Calpis was so luxurious. There are art exhibits in the elevator halls on each floor. Grandma Ama was fast asleep, snoring loudly (lol). It was very convenient to be able to go right outside the room. Nighttime stroll. Cafe Tomiyama, which I didn’t have time to go to. Perhaps knowing how I felt, Grandma Ama stopped right in front of the sign. She’s completely recovered! There was also a light show. Grandma Ama joined us and headed to a bar on San Sebastian Street. We had planned to eat on the terrace here, but next time we’ll order à la carte and eat together in the cooler months! We had planned to go bar-hopping, but we were full and gave up. But dessert is still an option. Grandma Ama was waiting outside. We headed to the herbal bath at the top for an evening parfait . The herbal bath and sauna were so relaxing! Grandma Ama changed into her pajamas and went to sleep. She’s as good as ever with the shark. Grandma Ama will join us for breakfast tomorrow. Grandma Ama is surrounded by many animals. Good night with friends. The clear morning air feels so good. Grandma Ama is a morning rat as usual (lol) and has no intention of getting up at all (lol). Somehow, she managed to wake up (or get woken up, lol). The morning terrace was pleasant, and we all basked in the morning sun. Huh? Grandma Ama was about to go back to sleep (lol) . It was time for Grandma Ama to go back to sleep (lol). While Grandma Ama was sleeping, I quickly went to take a morning bath. The open-air bath in the morning was also great! The view from the outside escalator offered a panoramic view of Vison. We headed out for breakfast with Grandma Amano. Things were going smoothly, but… We got lost, our directionally challenged couple (lol) and ended up in a completely different place (lol). Somehow, we made it there safely (lol). We had breakfast at “Ureshino Tofu Nose.” We’d heard they had terrace seating, but they seated us inside. I was craving Japanese food, so I was happy. The freshly made tofu was delicious, too. Thank you for the meal. The railings of La Concha Beach in San Sebastian. Apparently , they were a gift from the city of San Sebastian as a symbol of friendship. Looking for dessert after dinner, we headed to the Sweets Village on the market side. The market was open , so we took a quick peek. There were some doggie treats inside. I wondered which treat Grandma Amano should get. Her appetite has been inconsistent lately, so I decided to try some furikake (sprinkles). I wanted to buy a cake from Tsujiguchi Hiroaki’s “Confiturere H” to enjoy in our room, but it was only available to breakfast customers in the morning, and they didn’t sell any cakes. Sales began at 10:30, and I considered stopping by after checking out, but dogs were only allowed on the terrace, and the unshaded seats were too hot, so I gave up. What a shame. Just as I was about to return to my room without a treat, the Basque cheese tart shop “EGUN ON” just happened to open! I bought a cheese tart! I immediately enjoyed it on the terrace. They had three varieties: ① Original, ② Authentic (with blue cheese), and ③ Savory (with truffles). Even though I’m not a fan of blue cheese, I was drawn to the “Authentic” flavor and ended up buying ② with blue cheese (lol). It looked so creamy and delicious! I guess I should have bought ① Original after all (lol). I relaxed until checkout time (11:00). Grandma Ama was so comfortable she dozed off. She had a fierce fight with the shark (lol). We made up! Grandma Ama was staring off into the distance, perhaps sad to be leaving the hotel. It was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. After checking out, we moved our car to the parking lot on the market side and explored a bit of Visson’s shops. We found a cute food truck drink shop. Refreshing pomelo ♡ Cute, round taiyaki. Not “Ise Ancha” (lol), but “Ise Cha An” (Ise An). Grandma Ama also took time to hydrate. There were several oyster shops in the market. My husband, who loves oysters, had been dying to try them for a while (lol). Since we still had a lot of travel ahead of us, he seemed to have given up after much deliberation. By the way, I can’t eat oysters. (><) The shops in the market that were being set up that morning were also open. Something I had spotted when I glanced around the market that morning: craft drinks made with ingredients harvested in Ise. A non-alcoholic mojito made with Mie Prefecture pomelo (mandarin orange), mint, and spices, and a craft cola made with Ise cardamom, Meyer lemon, and spices— both looked delicious! We sampled some and purchased the "Ise Cardamom Cola" ♡ Pastry chef Tsujiguchi, who wasn't there that morning, was also at work via a panel at "Confiture H." There's dog-friendly terrace seating, but it's too hot to sit there because there's no shade. We crossed Mahoro Bridge and headed to Wavison in search of a cool spot. Along the way, we discovered a restaurant serving Ise udon! After Hiryozu, the couple became addicted to Ise udon on this trip (lol). We even allowed our dog inside the restaurant. Huh? Grandma Ama was relaxing. She seemed to be enjoying a comfortable night's sleep. We had ice cream and cold tea. We took a long, relaxing break. We ordered chilled Ise udon and Ise-yaki udon. We learned that despite their appearance, the flavor isn't too strong. I love chewy udon, so I wondered how soft Ise udon would taste. But this softness was addictive. For those of us with weak stomachs, it's comforting to know that it's gentle on the stomach. I'm also interested in the D&DEPARTMENT in the area. From the standard items to those made in Mie, it's fun just to look around! I missed out on the d-dora! I also took a quick look around the outdoor shop "Orange", and finally bought some quick choux pastries before setting off for my next destination. It was my first time staying in Vison and I had a great time! However, I wasn't able to visit all the shops I was interested in. Vison was too big! (lol) I'll come to Vison with Grandma Ama again!
