This Place FORCED Me to Return S9 EP 19 | Banff & Jasper National Park | Pakistan to Americas
So, we are at the glacier and this is the truck on which we have come. I think this truck is more interesting than the glacier. Since the glacier is slippery, that’s why many people are falling here. This is the lake which fascinated me a lot as you can see the color of this lake. Assalam-o-Alaikum everyone and welcome back to the channel from Calgary. I have rested in Calgary for the last 2-3 days and have finalized my next route. As you know when I reached Calgary, the whole area of Jasper and Banff which was clouded with smoke due to the wildfire in Northwest Territories. There was smoke everywhere. Hardly anything was visible. That’s why I planned to come to Calgary and meet a few people. He is Azlan, a member of the family with whom I had stayed. Now let’s leave from here and will go back to Banff. From Banff I will try to reach some halfway point from where I can see Piatto Lake, Bow Lake. Other than that, I will see Columbia Icefields and Glaciers. After visiting the area I will try to come back to Banff by the evening. So, let’s leave from here and I will take you back to Banff. Okay bye you wanna go with me or not? No? We will have lots of bugs. She is very fond of bugs. (Prayer for journey) May I have a safe and blessed day ahead. The weather is better today. There is still a little bit of smoke because the sky is not looking as blue as usual. It should be much better than before. The rest is up to luck. Finally, I have entered Banff National Park. You can see beautiful mountains in front of me. It is very clear but still not the kind of visibility that should be here. Earlier when I passed from here, nothing was visible. Today at least it is much better. Hi, how are you? Finally I have reached Columbia Icefield Glacier’s visitor point. It was a ride of about 270-280 km. It was a very long ride. Earlier, I opted the old 1A route. Then I realized that this is a very long way. So, I ended up taking the main highway. Anyway, I have reached here and now it is time to do some touristy things. I have a ticket. There is a Skywalk here and also a Glacier Walk. If you talk about the ticket price, it is around $250 which is too much and personally I would not have paid but a Pakistani named Hassan works in this company. I will meet him in Banff. I will introduce him to you. He attended the meeting in Calgary. He arranged this tour. Let’s see what kind of experience I end up having. Outside the visitor center, there is a snowmobile of the old times. It looks very beautiful in yellow color. There is a massive parking and right behind you can see the Glacier. I think we have to go to this glacier. I can see some cars which take tourists to the Glacier. Here is the visitor center which is very big and interesting. Thank you. What an ambience here. Since I have boycotted Starbucks, so no coffee. I feel like having a coffee. Online ticket was already booked so, they gave me physical copy here. They have a small souvenir shop, it looks big. Apart from that you can have food as there is a restaurant here. Interesting I am at the Glacier and this is the truck on which I have come. I think this truck is more interesting than the Glacier. It is a six wheel drive. Look at the tires how big they are. This truck was made in 1990. Since then, there have been no changes. Similarly, it is still the same. They have made such trucks for tourists. So that they can be taken to the glaciers. There was a small bus stop, we got down. Then we got this truck. It took us 15 minutes. You must have already seen Glaciers in my videos but in this tour I did not walk on any Glacier. They have made a small section on which they bring tourists so that tourists can walk. Here you can see the Glacier’s crystal clear blue colored water Because blue color absorbs what our eyes can see. There is nothing more interesting that I can tell about the Glacier. They have made a small section here. You can walk easily by wearing waterproof shoes like me. Otherwise you will have to be careful. So this is the Columbia Icefield Glacier tour. Since the glacier is slippery many people are falling here. So we will have to be careful. So, I am back after Skywalk and Glacier tour. For me, it was too touristy. I prefer not to go to such touristic places. No matter where you join this highway, every spot along it feels designed for tourists. But when you are on a tour, you get to see a lot of people. We still have another 2 to 2.5 hours of sunlight. And hopefully, by the evening, we will reach the place of our stay. We have reached Banff. Almost 600 meters That’s how far our hotel is now. Looks like a nice town. Bigger than Jasper. And relatively livelier since people are still sitting around. Jasper was empty at 9 pm. Looks like we are there. The map is showing that. Hotel Mount Royal Sorry? Where do you come from? From Pakistan. Pakistan? No, flying to Anchorage. Yeah, they are all drunk. I don’t know where they came from. This hotel is very luxurious. Alright So this is our room. You can see a clean washroom on the left side. And on this side, you can see 2 beds. We will sleep comfortably on one bed. Don’t need the other one. It is good that it is a spacious room. There are some edibles and fruits over there. I am not sure if that is a mini bar or just for the guests. Over here you see the TV and other stuff. As you know, all the hotels in Jasper and Banff are really expensive. Especially this one. It is one of the top hotels here. I didn’t book it myself. I think the company that Hassan works for, manages this hotel. So he has done the booking. Thank you Hassan. I am very hungry now. Let’s go and eat. Here’s Waheed. From Kenmore. That’s Junaid. Vipin, here, is from Punjab. Sat Sri Akal to all. Sat Sri Akal Junaid has bought a special pizza for us. Thank you so much. Otherwise, I’m not sure if I would have found anything in Banff. Thank you so much. Although Junaid has got this pizza for us. However, he insisted that he has also prepared Pulao. Looks like I’m destined to eat pulao today. Waheed as well. Take a look. So we decided to come to his apartment. And we are gonna cherish the pulao as well as pizza. Finally I have reached the iconic lake of Canadian Rockies that I wanted to see for a long time now. Because I have seen a lot of Canada’s content. And this lake has always fascinated me. Firstly because of its color. You can see such a bright blue color. Wonderful And the spots with shallow water appear turquoise. Besides, its beauty is also because of the mountains in the backdrop. Amazing And because there is no strong wind you can see the beautiful reflection of the mountains. Really amazing. Because there is a lot of tourism here, every tourist will come here. Whoever is traveling in this region. I think, you could come here with your vehicle till 2022. But since then, you can’t come here with any motor vehicle. You have to take shuttle service or walk or cycle. Unfortunately I had to park my Rangeeli and come here with the shuttle service. But this lake is worth coming. So I didn’t want to miss it. I have already mentioned Hassan in this video. There he is. Thank you so much for hosting me here. And that is Hassan’s son, Issa. Thank you for taking out time to show me your area. And you have already seen Waheed from last evening. If you are coming to Canadian Rockies, there is one lake that you must see. Behind me you can see Fairmount Hotel. And Lake Louise is next to it. Probably the most famous lake of this area. Hidden in a layer of slight fog. I am standing right now at the property of Fairmount. You can see the view of this hotel from here. It is a huge hotel. It is a luxurious as well as an expensive hotel. We are walking towards the area where you can see many people walking. This is the area next to the lake. I have met some of our Pakistani brothers from Karachi. Ali, here, is from New Jersey. He has been looking for me for many days. Ever since I came here, wondering where my motorcycle is. I am very happy to meet you all. If you want to say something in the video, go ahead. I used to ride my motorcycle in Pakistan. But last year, I didn’t even know that you have a YouTube channel. I was searching on how to go hiking on Nanga Parbat. I saw your video. Then I saw your old videos. I thought if you can do it as a beginner, why not I do it. After that, I bought a motorcycle. I bought it in August last year. Masha Allah, it was an inspiration. Thank you so much. It was nice to meet you randomly. It was a good opportunity to meet you. In fact, there was a lot of rush there. I think it was a good spot to meet you. Last time, we visited Jasper. As I showed you in the video, the whole village got burnt in last year’s wildfire. There was hardly anything left to see in the town. But Banff is a beautiful town. I personally liked it a lot. One of the reasons is that the mountain scenery is very beautiful. Banff is one of the most visited mountain regions in the world. The population here is about 10,000 to 11,000. It is not a very big town. But there is a lot of tourism here. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can see this beautiful river of turquoise color. It is called the Bow River. We came from Jasper, riding along this river. This river flows through the downtown of Calgary. I will try to show you the town as well. I personally like this town a lot. When you are walking in Banff town, it feels more like you are walking in a European alpine mountain town. The architecture here is very similar to that of a Swiss-Italian or German mountain town. The second reason is that it is very lively. There is a lot of tourism here. You can not only enjoy the mountain scenery, but you can also walk in the downtown in the evening. You can buy stuff and have a nice meal. It is very easy. I personally like this town a lot. All the towns, that we have visited in this tour so far, this one is rather unique among all of them. Dawson City was a little different. The other towns that we have visited, like Calgary, are very typical. Just like the rest of the towns in the US and Canada. It feels good to see something different and new. We have come to D-Spot for dinner. This is a chain restaurant. You can get Halal food here. This is Hassan’s family. Daniya and Aamna are also here with us. Daniya said that she wants to be in the video. So Daniya, here you go. Take this microphone. Tell us a little bit about the food. There is poutine. It is the Canadian national dish. And then, Hawaiian burger. Thank you very much. It was really nice having you here in Banff. Your content is great. It is a dream come true. We are so glad that you came to Banff. I never thought I would meet you in person. What makes us really happy is that our Pakistanis will witness the natural beauty of Banff through your Wild Lens. We are so glad to have you here. Thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you very much.
