トランシルバニアに日帰り旅行に行きました – 予想外の体験でした
Hey, everyone. I’m Mark from Travelshorts.
This is my daughter Holly. That’s my son, Matthew. And today is our first
full day in Romania. Okay, it’s pretty early this morning. It’s 6:00 in the morning at the moment. We’re going to be walking through
Bucharest for about 15 minutes to start our day trip to Transylvania. Hopefully, along the way,
we’re going to pass a bakery and grab ourselves some breakfast. So the day trip we’re going to be
doing today is via Get your guide. I’ll talk a bit about it more later. It’s pretty early this morning. Just want to grab ourselves
something quick for breakfast. Continue to our meeting spot this morning,
which is by the university. And using Google Maps to get there,
because we’ve never been to Bucharest before. I’m surprised about how busy it is this
morning at 6:00 in the morning, to be honest. Okay, we’ve just arrived
at the bakery called Luca. It’s a a tradition here in Bucharest. There’s a number of outlets
everywhere around the city. It doesn’t look like it’s
fully open yet, though. They are starting to put the food out. We want to go for something
like this, a traditional. It’s a bagel filed with ham and cheese. I think that’d be great for breakfast,
but we just got to wait for it to be ready. Okay, the traditionals aren’t
going to be for another 20 minutes. We’re going to move on to
another The Luca bakery. Okay, we went to the other Luca bakery,
which is just behind me there. It’s going to be another 10 minutes
to actually get the traditional ones. Unfortunately, we’re not going to have
those this morning for our breakfast, but we have just got some… I’m not even sure what this is. It smells a bit cheesy bread,
but we’ll eat those very shortly when we’re waiting
for our bus to take us to Transylvania. So we’ve made it to our bus This one
behind me, it’s in the middle of the square here. We just got to check in and get on board. It’s actually quite a lot
of people on this tour today. Bus is pretty much completely full. The structure of this tour. The first stop would be
the Dracula’s Castle. All I know there are three
hours from here to Dracula’s Castle. Let me go to Brasov. Brasov, in our tour,
we designed to be your lunch time. You can visit
the Black Church if you want. It is a beautiful city. It’s a beautiful place to come to. Then we go to Peles Castle. Peles Castle, unfortunately,
it’s closed today because the Royal Family has an event there, so we cannot see it. No, we will see it from the outside
and it’s a beautiful scenery. It’s a beautiful Have a project
on the chance to go far. We are well on our way to Transylvania. We left Bucharest about
an hour and a half ago. We were told when we boarded the bus,
it’s actually going to be a three-hour journey, which is a bit longer than I
actually thought this journey would take. We are going to be making a stop along
the way, just a short comfort break. But then our first tourist spot
of the day is going to be Bran Castle, Made famous, of course,
by Bram Stoker as Dracula’s Castle. In fact, it is marketed as
Dracula’s Castle outside of Romania. It’s allegedly one
of the places that Vlad the Impaler used to live, although
modern historians have said, that’s a bit of a myth. After we visit Bran Castle,
I think we’ve got about an hour and a half there, we’re then going to go
to the historic old town of Brasov, a traditional village here
in the middle of Transylvania. Then the final stop of the day is going
to be Peles Castle on the way back home to Bucharest. Do you want a Dracula T-shirt, Holly? We have made it to our first
stop of the trip today. Bran Castle. Bus parked in the parking lot,
maybe a couple of minutes away. We’re now walking over
to the castle entrance. It’s a school group as well,
going in the same time as us, but we’re going this way So the tour we’re on today just includes a tour guide and the bus transportation. It doesn’t actually include access into
the castles we’re going to be visiting. So we did purchase those ourselves online. I’ll leave a link to where we purchased
the tickets for Bran Castle just below here. Now walking up the steps
to go to Bran Castle. The cost for standard entry ticket today
to Bran Castle was 90 lei for adults and 30 lei each for children. We have made it into Bran Castle. We just need to show our tickets
as we come through the door. No set itinerary around here. We just walk around and see what’s here. That’s where the vampire
are hanging upside down. This is Queen Marie’s bedroom. Very old-fashioned door, isn’t it? Shall we go out the gift shop?
Yeah. Yeah.
Do you want anything? No.
No? So I think that’s going
to end our tour around Bran Castle. I wasn’t able to really
speak as we’re going through. Just because it was just so busy,
we were just following a line of people all the way through. And it’s only 10:30 in the morning,
but it gets really, really busy. And this is the offseason as well. The exit is over there. Head through it. And then we’ll tell you a bit more about
what this trip we’re actually doing today because I’m conscious. I haven’t actually said that much about
what we’re actually doing here in Transylvania today. So we’re outside the castle now. Like I said, we’re here, basically, it’s
the October half term, school half term. We’re two days away from Halloween,
so I thought, what better place to come on Halloween than Transylvania? So that’s why we’re here, because it’s… And Holly’s birthday will
be very, very shortly. She’s a Halloween little girl. But we thought, why not come
to Transylvania for Halloween? Because you can’t get more Halloween
than Transylvania and Count Dracula. So as I mentioned,
we’re on a tour with Get your guide. I use Get your guide
throughout the world for tours. I will leave a link in the description
to this actual tour that we’re on today. You can also scan the QR
code on the screen here. And I think I might have a promotional
code as well for Get your guide. If I have, I’ll put it here,
but I think it’s Travelshorts5. And if you use that while checking out,
you get 5% off your purchase for any tour on their website. I’m not sure how you can
do it on their website. It has to be via the Get your guide app. So I’ll also put a link to the Get your
guide app if you haven’t got that already down there, or maybe another QR code here
to scan that and download the Get your guide app. It’s really handy, actually,
the Get your guide app. I’ve been using Get your guide for years
now, and I do everything via the app. It lists all our tickets
that we’ve got coming up. It lists all our past bookings. You can search for tours,
guides around the world. So I would highly
recommend get your guide. Today’s tour is costing £22 each,
which I think that’s pretty good value. Yes, you probably do it cheaper if you did
it independently, maybe get a train from Bucharest to Brasov, for example. But the fact we’ve got a
coach all the way here, I think it’s going to be about a 12-hour tour in total today. So we did start really early. We’re going to be finishing really late. But I would highly recommend it. We don’t have a tour guide
during the inside part. So here at Bran Castle and at
Peles Castle later on today. But the guide on board the the bus.
Oh, hello, Holly. She wants to get in on it, I think. The guide onboard the bus does give you
a lot of information during the transfer on the bus. But then you do have to also buy
individual tickets, like I mentioned, to get inside to Bran Castle. And if I’m going to be completely honest,
I wasn’t that impressed by inside, just mainly, I guess,
because it was so, so busy. Wasn’t it, Holly?
It was really busy inside. And you just follow a line
of people all the way around. So there was no private
time in there, was there? Most of them just had one thing in them. And the big line. But just seeing a sofa or something. I don’t know. I think they’re also setting up as well
for Halloween at the moment, looking at the promotional signage all around. It looks like this weekend coming is
a Halloween event, which is why all the skeletons and cobwebs
and bats were everywhere, although the bats could be for Count Dracula. We’re going to carry and walk around. We’re going to try and find some
nice vantage points for the castle. I think it’s probably looks a lot nicer
from the exterior than it does in the interior. Maybe get ourselves a drink as well. And we’re going to go back to where
the bus area is because there were a number of souvenir stores down there. I got ourselves to see they were pretty
pricey in the gift shop inside the castle. So I imagine the touts outside
same items, but a lot cheaper. So let’s go and take a walk around as
let’s look at the exterior of Bran Castle. So as you can see, it’s getting a lot
busier now from when we entered. There’s a queue
down the hill a little bit. So when we arrived about 10:00,
the queue only just started the base in the steps over there. There is a lot longer now. But like I said, inside is just, you just
follow a line all the way from every room. Very, very busy, I guess. When this castle was constructed back
in 1377 by the Saxons, they weren’t expecting it to be used for tourists. So it wasn’t set up for tourists. So the rooms are small,
corridors are small, everything is small. I think if you want to get a shot
of the iconic Bran Castle and be in the shot as well. I think you should come down to this park
at the base of the castle and see it right behind me there. You can get some really nice
photographs here of the castle. I think when you see shots on an image
library, a stock library for photos, I think they’re probably taken
from that hill or mountain over there, looking across,
because then you’re at the same height, because all the the iconic photos of this
castle are taken almost at the same height or slightly raised,
looking down on the castle. So I definitely think they’re taken
from there, looking in that direction. Or alternatively, you could bring a drone,
which would have been great if we brought our drone today, wouldn’t it? But I’m not sure what the drone
rules are in Romania, which is why I didn’t bring it with us. I think we’ve finished walking
around the base of Bran Castle now. We’ve got about 25 minutes before we got
to join our bus back in the car park. It dropped us off at. We’re going to walk through that market
and have a look at maybe for some souvenirs. We were going to get a snack, but our next
part of the tour, Basov, the village, traditional Romanian village, we have
a while there, the lady said, the guide. So we’ll get ourselves
some lunch in Basov. Let’s walk and look at some
souvenirs, shall we, Holly? Yeah. So we’re just going to go to the supermarket here called Nancy
to get ourselves some more water. We just got ourselves a bottle
of water from that supermarket. That was only 4.50, which works out about
80 pence for a big two litre bottle of water, which is a great value. We’re now heading back to our bus. We’re about 10, 15 minutes early, but it’s
always best to be on time than late. We’re back on the bus. We should be departing
in about 5, 7 minutes. The reason I’m not talking when we’re
on the bus travelling as well, which I would like to do a whole
introduction to this video on the journey here to Bran Castle. But it is an absolutely full bus. So once everybody’s on board,
there’s no spare seats. So there is a lady
sitting next to me here. I do feel a bit awkward bringing our
camera, talking like this to the camera when they suddenly just
sitting right by there. The next stop is going to be Brasov, which
is a traditional Transylvanian village. I think we’re going to be there for quite
a while, so we’ll do a full tour around the village itself. We’ll get lunch, find a nice traditional
café or a restaurant to have some traditional Romanian food. But that will be a bit an issue for Holly
because anybody that watches our videos knows that Holly is very
fussy when it comes to food. She’ll eat pizza, pasta. Is that about it, Holly? Yeah, that is mainly it. So I’m not sure where we’re going to be
able to because we always like to try and eat together, obviously. But if there’s nowhere
that serves that traditional food and more Holly food, we might have
to eat in two separate places. So me and Matthew have something nice
and traditional, and we go somewhere for Holly to have
something a bit, something less traditional. I guess we’re going to be
setting off here shortly. I’ll see you guys once we’re
in Brasov and touring around the town. Okay, we’ve arrived at Brasov, Holly. Not sure where we’re going to go,
but we’re probably going to go down in this direction. We have made it into
the centre of Brasov. I think before we do a big tour around the
town, we’re going to get some food. There’s plenty of options.
If you look around. We’re right at the very
centre in the town’s square. The guide recommended the orange
place in front of us here. So we’re going to have a look at the menu. Apparently, it’s very
traditional Romanian food. Okay, so this is the menu. So this is meant to be
traditional Romanian food. Not sure what we’re going to order yet. I think Holly is going to struggle a bit,
so we might go somewhere else. She can try something because
the prices aren’t that bad, in fairness. Although you can have like
pork chops, wouldn’t you? Maybe. I think I’m going to go
for a Transylvanian soup because we’re obviously in Transylvania
and we can share that. Then I’m going to go for smoked
pork knuckle with stewed cabbage. Hollyis going to go for the Mici,
and Matthew is going to go for pork chops. Okay, our first course has
come out straight away. This is a Transylvanian soup. Looks quite nice.
Going to try it. That is really nice. Tastes of like smoked meats.
Very good. And we’ve also got our
traditional drinks as well. So Holly’s got a Blueberry Lemonade. I like the glass, isn’t it? Oh, there. I’ve got elderflower with honey,
and Matthew’s got a traditional lemonade. And I think Matthew’s going
to try the soup as well. Can you reach? It is quite nice. Now, Holly’s turn to try the soup. What’s that like? It tastes like soup.
Do you like it? Do you want any more of it
or am I eating it all? Yeah.
I’m having it. Oh, yeah. Well, I need some to dip
in my soup, though, Holly. You can see there’s a lot of meat
and potatoes in this as well. It’s almost like a stew, not just a soup.
Where it doesn’t mean. Yeah.
Smoked meats and potatoes. Yeah, that’s meat, Holly. Do you want to try one? I’ve finished eating the soup
and even Holly liked that. And I don’t think you understand this, how
rare it is for Holly to like something. Yeah, how rare it is for Holly
to like something like that. So I’m very happy with that. Transylvanian soup. Yeah, so this is
Holly’s Blueberry Lemonade. All the drinks are really nice as well. So mine is lemonade with elderflower
and honey, and it tastes really good. Yeah, the cups, they’re
little jugs, aren’t they? So we are eating
in this orange restaurant here. It’s called Laison, I think. Oh, no, it’s called La Ceaun,
which maybe means cauldron, potentially. I can call it a cauldron.
Yeah. It’s got an outdoor area
and an indoor area to eat. It’s right on the town square
here, as you can see. The tour guide says some of the main
attractions we can see here today is this in front of us here. That’s called the Witcher Tower. It’s where they killed witches, where
obviously, they weren’t real witches. They were probably just normal ladies back
in mediaeval times, but it’s got the nickname of the witches tower. Apparently, there’s a museum in there now. And over behind us in that direction
is the Black Church. So that’s where we’re going to head
after we’ve finished our lunch today. The Black Church is probably the main
tourist attraction in Brasov. There is an entrance fee. We’ll check out how much that is when we
finish our lunch and walk over there later. But Holly, I can’t believe
you like that soup. I’m very proud of you. I like vegetables in it. I just like the soup
and the meat and the bread. The bread’s the best part of it. Well, the bread dipped in the soup. So our food has just arrived. There’s Matthew’s pork chop with some
potatoes and sauces and some vegetables. There’s Holly’s Mici Sausages
with some potatoes. And there is my pork knuckle,
it’s pretty big. So let’s dig in, shall we? That is a really big pork chop, isn’t it?
Yeah. Bigger than the ones I make at home. How are you going
on with your sausages, Holly? Or mici. Do you like it?
What’s that like? Good.
Excellent. Eaten traditional food,
Holly, that’s not a pizza. So we finished our food. That was really, really tasty.
A bit pricey. It came to 322 Lei. I’m not sure what
the currency conversion is. It’s actually a I’m up
on my phone, probably. So that, oh, £56 that cost. Anyway, we’re going to head over to the
Black Church and have a look around there. But first, let’s just admire this area
around the town square, shall we? Black Church is really
impressive from the outside. Pretty high as well. Got to go around. Yeah, this is the church
Holly, the Black Church. I don’t know, I was looking this side. So we’re just going
to go around the front. We’ve only got 32 minutes left
to get back to the bus as well. So I’m not sure if we are
going to go inside or not. We might.
We’ll have a look. If there’s a line to go in,
then we’re not going to do it. Although the food was really nice,
it did take quite a while to come out. Soup was out instantly,
but the rest took quite a while. And then obviously it took quite a while
to eat that because it was a pretty hardy portions of everything. Yeah, Holly liked the soup, didn’t you? Yeah.
Here’s the church on the front. Pretty impressive. So we are going to get some tickets
from the gift studio here in front of us. Well, we’ll have a look
how much they are first. We’ve got our tickets. The total price came to be 55 lei. I’ll put the individual costs down below. Now, the guide on the bus did say
that this organ here, only one person knows how to actually play it. They’re about to retire,
and then once they retire, they’re currently training their son
to actually take over and learn how to actually play this particular organ. And that’s it.
For us visiting the Black Church. A very short whistle stop tour. You can’t go on to the higher
levels by the look of it. So there is just this main
section here you can go into. That is about it.
There’s nothing else here. But what do you expect in the church? So that’s it.
Finished in the Black Church. And I think that’s going
to be finished in Brasov. We’ve got to head back to the bus,
make sure we get our seats, because when we got on there,
well, we were one of the first to get on the bus back at Bran Castle. But when people were coming back on, they
weren’t sitting in the original spots. I know it’s not reserved for them,
but it just meant that people were breaking up families. If a family came back at the end,
so for example, behind us originally was a family of three sitting on the back
seat, so they were next to each other. Just some randoms came and sat there. We’re breaking up that family so
they can sit next to each other. And I had a different lady sitting next
to me as well on that journey to here from Bran Castle than I had originally,
because then she sat somewhere else with with whoever she came with originally. Now, I don’t want to pretend that I know
a lot about the Black Church, if I’m being completely honest. I think it was actually originally
a Catholic Church and it was built for the Pope back in Italy. Then later, after that, Romania had a lot of German protestants coming into the country. Actually, I think the protestant movement
took over Romania here, within 20 to 25 years. That meant there was actually no need
to have a Catholic Church here anymore because nobody else was Catholic. So it was then converted
to a Protestant Church. I think that’s true,
but don’t quote me on it. And that was just a very short Wikipedia
search on the way here today. And now we’re coming back into the central
square because this is the way we’re going to head back to our bus,
which is going to be in that direction. Time to go back to the bus. After we finish in Brasov get on the bus,
the next stop is going to be Peles Castle. Unfortunately, we’re not actually allowed
to go into the castle today because there’s an event going
on with the Romanian Royal family. So we’re only going to get
to see it from outside. Normally on this tour,
you can actually go inside. But again, just like we had to do
at Bran Castle, there is a separate admission fee to get inside the castle. From outside, though,
hopefully it’s going to be a beautiful castle to look at, which means
some nice photographs, potentially. We made it to the bus pick-up point
for about eight minutes to go before we’re due to depart. Bus isn’t here yet. I guess we just got away, I guess, because
this is a main bus depot that we’re in. They can’t really wait
around for too long. Our bus is pretty easy to spot. It’s got a big sign in the front
window saying Otilla. That’s our guide’s name today. Our bus has just arrived. About five minutes before
it’s due to depart. So next stop, Peles Castle. We have now left Brasov. Although Peles Castle is only 20 miles
away, they’ve come over the Tannoy, the guide has,
due to quite a lot of roadworks between here and there, that 20 miles
is going to take up to 2 hours. So we’ve got a bit of a long
journey ahead of us. But that’s quite lucky,
nobody’s come to sit by me, which I don’t know how that’s possible
because the bus, I’m sure this morning when
everybody was on, literally every seat was taken. I’m not complaining. I hope it’s like this all
the way back Bucharest. That’d be even better.
So sit down and relax. Two hour journey ahead of us to Peles
Castle, where we can’t even go inside. She didn’t explain about,
because I mentioned earlier that there’s a royal family event going on today. They’re actually celebrating
the birthday of, it might be Queen Marie? I’m not sure if I got that name right or
the designation, if it is the Queen or if it’s a Princess. But yeah, so the Romanian Royal
family is I’m going to be there today. I wonder if we’re going to get to see them. Maybe he’ll wave from a balcony. Anyway, I’ll see you
guys when we’re there. We have literally just been
stationary for about 15 to 20 minutes. We’re not going anywhere. We have made it to Peles Castle. Like I said earlier on the bus,
there’s actually a royal function going on in there today,
so it means we’re not going inside. We’ve got an hour and 20 minutes here,
so I guess we’re going to walk around the grounds for about an hour or so. I think that’s going to be it for our
tour around Peles Castle today. We’ve seen everything to be
seen from the outside. As I said, we can’t go inside,
so we’re going to head back up to the bus. And we’ll be 50 minutes
early going back there. There was a souvenir shop up there,
so we might have a little look around the souvenir shop.
see if there’s anything interesting to get. Very beautiful building. It would have been great
to have a look inside. Romanian royal family are in at the moment. We did see a guy in a suit come
in and bringing in some flowers. So that’s probably for a
member of the royal family. We are back where the bus dropped us off. Right by here,
we’ve got 35 minutes till it depart. But there isn’t that much you can do just
walking around the exterior of that Peles Castle. I think, personally,
they should have curtailed the amount of time we had here from an hour
and a half to even maybe an hour. It would have been better. Because if you’re not going in the castle,
there’s nothing much you can do. Anyway, we’ll wait for the bus here. Maybe walk up that road behind us,
just to see if there’s anything up there. No?
Okay, Holly said no. Okay, we made it onto the bus. There was some issues with it. We were standing around for quite a while. It’s now 5:55. The bus was due to depart at 5:30,
so it’s 25 minutes late. The guide said, Oh, there’s some technical
issues with the bus itself, so I don’t know what that was. But at least we’re on the road now
heading back to Bucharest. It’s going to be about 2 hours 20
minutes, so it’s been a pretty long day. It means we’ll be going to get back
to Bucharest after eight o’clock tonight, which means it’s been about 13 and a half
hour day today, so that’s a very long day. I think we’re going to try and get
some sleep on the bus on the way back. On the way to Peles Castle, actually,
I nodded off a couple of times, then I woke myself up by doing that with my head. When we do get to Bucharest, I think we’ll
look for something to eat, just casual as well. Like a fast food. Probably keep Holly happy,
maybe some McDonald’s. It might be interesting if we got any
different McDonald’s dishes here in Romania that we don’t get back home. I’m not a biggest fan of McDonald’s,
if I’m being completely honest. But whenever I travel and we do go
to McDonald’s, I always try to get something unique to the country.
We will try that. Then we’ll get back to the hotel
and we’ll probably call it a night. But I see you once we get to Bucharest, So we’re now back in Bucharest. That took about 2 hours,
10 minutes in total. It’s just after eight o’clock. We’re going to walk into the Old Town
now and look for something to eat. So we’re going to be
heading in that direction. And to do that, we’re going
down here and under the ground. Because I’m not 100% sure about the area
around here, it’s probably perfectly safe. I’m not going to film too much until we
get to somewhere which is worth filming. We’ve come to this very famous
Bucharest Bookstore. As you can see, it’s absolutely beautiful. In fairness, it’s almost
a tourist attraction in itself. The reason we’re here,
though, is not for books. Holly had a look online before we came
on holiday, and she collects Jelly Cats at the moment,
which if you know what a jelly cat is, they’re very overpriced Teddy bears,
in my opinion, where she saw that this Bookstore actually sells jelly cats. So we’re here to look for jelly cats. And one already buried in this
little bucket. That looks like it’ll be expensive, Holly. It is one more.
I can’t believe it. Oh, it’s just like a book. This one is expensive. How much is that one then, Holly? I don’t know, but it’ll be very expensive.
I know. Have a look at the price. I don’t know.
What did it say? Oh, six.
Five, six, six. In the UK it’s £75, I think. Five, six, six is… That’s £100, Holly. We’re not getting a Teddy
bear for £100. Sorry. Found that they could be
buried in these buckets. Holly is now going to go
digging through all of them. And I don’t know what I’m looking for,
so I’ll be no good. And I don’t think Matthew
wants to be doing this. I think we just want to go for some food,
don’t we, both of you and you? Yeah. But we’ll let Holly have
a fun looking for them. We can go down these steps for the next
floor then, because there’s nothing the other side either. So we just left the Bookstore. I couldn’t justify spending basically
£100 for a crocodile Teddy bear. Sorry, Holly. Or £40 for a shark,
which actually had a little cut in it. So as a treat, Holly,
when we get back home, I’ll buy you another one from on
the Jelly Cat website direct, yeah? Okay. Oh, nacho triple cheeseburger. Nacho triple Mcpulsa sandwich,
you know what that is? So we have come to McDonald’s
in the end to get something to eat. And I have to admit that took so,
so, so long to actually get. It was really, really bad service. Normally, I don’t complain too much. But we were, what, over 20 minutes. And you could see them. They kept putting our items on a tray. You could tell because Holly had some
chicken nuggets, and we had the only items were chicken nuggets. And then another guy who’s doing
the takeout once would come onto our tray and swipe the chicken nuggets. He swiped Matthew’s burger a number
of times, so it kept taking ages for us to get served. I ordered an apple pie with a cream
filling because I thought, That’d be really nice. There wasn’t an apple pie
on the tray, so where’s my… No apple pie. And then she goes, Oh,
we haven’t got any apple pie. So I said, I’ll have
some cherry pie instead. And there was also no chicken nuggets
because we watched the guy take the chicken nuggets the second time off
our tray, and they tried to serve us without the chicken nuggets.
I said, There’s no chicken nuggets. So it didn’t come with chicken nuggets. I said, Show you the receipt,
came with chicken nuggets. Said she, Sorry. Yeah, but Mcflurries because they’ve been
waiting for quite a while, are pretty melty.
But let’s just start eating. It’s time to get late now. And The only thing different on the menu
here to at home was they did a nacho triple cheeseburger. Okay, we’ve had our McDonald’s. Sorry for the little rant there. I just got a little bit annoyed there. People weren’t doing their job correctly. And serving us on time. Anyway, if you got about that,
we’re now walking back to our hotel, to the hotel Carpati. It’s going to be about
22 minutes from here. See you when we get back to the hotel. So we’re back to the hotel. I hope you enjoyed this video of us going
around Transylvania for the whole day. It’s actually after 10:00 now,
so we’ve been on the go out of the hotel for 16 hours since 6:00 this morning,
so we’re all really tired. I’m going to grab a quick shower and go
to bed ready for our day tomorrow, which will be the second part
of this Bucharest video series. We’re going to go to Therme, Bucharesti,
which is the largest indoor spa in Europe, so we’re looking forward to that. It’s also got a huge swimming
pool area with lots of slides. I think it is either 1.4 or 1.6
kilometres of water slides there. Really looking forward to it. Anyway, I think we’re going
to end this video here. If you made it to the end,
thank you so much for watching. It’s really appreciated. If you’re new here, my name is Mark,
along with my daughter Holly, son Matthew. We make Travel and Theme Park
videos from around the world. Here’s Holly with a very special message. If you like this video,

Join us on our Day tour To Transylvania from Bucharest to Visit Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle), Peles Castle and Brasov.
We started our day in Bucharest at 6am with breakfast from Luca Bakery.
We then got on a coach for our full day tour of Transylvania.
Our Tour today was organised by Get Your Guide and cost £22 each.
We visited Bran Castle first, made famous by Bram Stoker as the inspiration for Dracula’s Castle in his book.
We then visited Brasov where we had lunch and saw the Black Church and Witches Tower.
The final attraction was Peles Castle where we could only view it from outside as the Romanian Royal family where hosting an event inside.
When we got back to Bucharest we visited McDonalds for our diner.

Daca am înțeles bine sinteti irlandez vă mulțumesc pentru vacanța în România aveți o familie frumoasă vă urez multă sănătate .❤❤❤
Hi, nice video, really appreciated it. Slight correction though: Brasov is not a small traditional village. It's second by importance in tourism, third in industry. Here are made Black Hawk helicopters, parts for Airbus and soon drones for NATO
Great video! Word of warning to anyone looking at going over the Halloween period however, we did this same tour on Halloween itself (31st October) this year and it was rediculously (and expectedly) busy. Expect huge queues to get into the castles.
The infrastructure just isnt up for that amount of tourism. It took us over 4.5hrs to get back to Bucharest meaning we missed our restaurant booking that evening and didnt get back until after 11pm. Still a brilliant day, but just be prepared if youre a future traveller looking at going over the Halloween weekend!
We had a great day exploring Transylvania, Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle) has been on my bucket list for years. We did our day tour with Get Your Guide, you can download their app here: https://bit.ly/GYGAPP
Nice video i like
Sinaia where Peles caste was is not in Transylvania but in Wallachia and Brasov is a big city not a village.
Very beautiful !
What a beautiful family. Holly is an angel 👼
