【アフター万博】超近距離ミャクミャクin陶芸の森【こうかの遊び場2025】

2025.11.9Hello , today I’m heading to the Shigaraki Ceramic Art Museum in Koka City, Shiga Prefecture. Apparently, Myakumyaku will be coming to the Koka Playground 2025 event there. Furthermore, Sachiko Nakajima, producer of the Jellyfish Museum at the Playground of Life, and the KURAGE Band will also be performing. It’s a world expo, and it’s my first time there, and my first time on the Shigaraki Kogen Railway, so I’m excited to get there. Arriving at Shigaraki Station greeted by a raccoon dog Apparently Shigaraki is the setting for the TV drama Scarlet, and there was an exhibition space inside the station. I’ve never seen it, but there was also the history of preventing the abolition of the Shigaraki Line, and part of the train from the train collision that occurred on May 14th (42 people died and over 600 were injured) during the 1991 World Ceramic Festival (600,000 visitors) held at Shigaraki Ceramic Forest (April 26th – May 15th) was on display to prevent the accident from being forgotten (the festival was later canceled). There was also an exhibition on the history of the activities of the Railway Safety Promotion Council, which was established after this accident. It was completely unknown about such a major accident, and apparently the cause was failure to follow the rules, so it’s a miracle that no major accidents have occurred at the Expo. The momentum of the serious fans is still unstoppable, so I’m just worried. It’s a 16-minute walk to the Ceramic Forest. The play area opens at 10am, so I made a little detour. A bear is likely to appear Gyokujuji Temple is a Buddhist temple of the Koyasan Shingon sect and is also the fifth of the Kinki Jyaku Kannon Pilgrimage Sites that prevent dementia. The 13m tall Great Acala statue is the principal image of Kobo Daishi, and is said to have been built in the Nara period by Emperor Junnin as the northern capital of Heijo-kyo. Later, Kukai opened the Hora Palace, a detached palace. You can also pray for the protection of the Medicine Buddha, who is believed to have been the god of healing nerve pain. Hora no Miyabashi Bridge is a 13m high, 100m long suspension bridge spanning the railway, river and road, built in 1990. It’s not that high, but it’s shaking and it makes my heart pound. Beautiful autumn leaves This fence is not locked, so please use it if you wish to pass through. I can get into the station The First Otodogawa Bridge (an important cultural property) is hard to see because of the vibrant greenery. Do you see it from the other side? First Otodogawa Bridge: The first bridge to be designated an Important Cultural Property as a structure using standard prestressed concrete (PC). PC girders are made by pre-compressing concrete, which is weak against tension, to reinforce it with strong girders, allowing for the safe support of long, narrow bridges. It’s too quick lol There’s a filming location in a place like this ! Can I get to the Ceramic Art Forest from here? It’s this way hmm hmm a little further (200 meters to the filming location) What? 200 meters?! That’s not even close enough to take a quick peek. We’re almost to the location! This is where the bears come out A broken camera stand. Please set your smartphone or camera on this to take a picture of that scene from the drama. Even if you say “that scene”… This is the filming location (props are for display purposes only. We are not responsible for any accidents that may occur if they are used.) About 7 minutes from Hora no Miyabashi Bridge I finally got out of the filming location and it only took 4 minutes , but it was nice to be able to walk along the mountain path and enjoy the autumn leaves. Arrival at the Ceramic Art Forest The Expo logo made from ceramic Ceramic Art Museum (Ceramic Art Museum) Special Exhibition: The Masterpiece of Kutani Akae “The World of Miyamotoya Kiln and Iidaya Hachiroemon” running until December 14, 2025 The lonely Takumi Ponzan without lighting Koka City Tourism Promotional Character Ninjaemon The lights were turned on, but Professor Ponyama and Ninjaemon were left behind . Takumi Ponyama Sensei’s special skill: Air potter’s wheel Shigaraki Town Tourism Association mascot character Ponpoko-chan (grandson of Takumi Ponzan Sensei) The reactions to Myakumyaku’s appearance are so different lol The tail is too cute Myakumyaku exits Myakumyaku appears (2nd time) Shuriken Myaku Myaku Myakumyaku exit (2nd time) Who? He sneezes at the perfect time lol Sachiko Nakajima will be speaking. She is a jazz pianist and mathematics educator who graduated from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, University of Tokyo , and won a gold medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad. She is also the founder of steAm Co., Ltd., a member of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and one of the producers of the Osaka-Kansai Expo theme project. She is involved in the signature pavilion “Jellyfish Pavilion, a playground for life.” She will also talk about the Jellyfish Pavilion’s logo . KURAGE BAND’s live performance at the Expo will be held in a 1-minute walk from Shigaraki Station. Shigaraki Ware Museum (free admission) Shigaraki ware is pottery made mainly in Shigaraki, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture. It is one of the six ancient kilns in Japan and has been designated a Japanese Heritage Site. During the Kamakura period, practical items such as vases and pots were produced, and with the development of tea ceremony culture, from the Muromachi to Azuchi-Momoyama periods, it became popular as tea ceremony utensils (tea bowls, flower vases). During the Edo period, earthenware for everyday use and household items increased, and pottery became familiar to the common people. Since the Showa period, tanuki figurines have become famous nationwide. The reason for this is that tanuki have long been considered to be superior to others, to bring good fortune and wealth, and to bring good luck, and are considered lucky charms for prosperous business. In particular, they are characterized by their large eyes, belly, money bag, account book, sake bottle, hat, charm, and tail. It is said that Shigaraki was famous for its eight lucky charms (Hasso Engi), which have various meanings, and that when Emperor Showa visited Shigaraki, he was so moved by the many raccoon figurines lined up that he wrote a waka poem about them, which became a national topic. After that, the Japanese National Railways promoted it as a tourist destination, and they became popular as travel souvenirs and ornaments in front of shops, and the image of Shigaraki ware = raccoon became established. It was really great to learn about the history of Shigaraki Kogen Railway and Shigaraki ware by coming to Shigaraki. Thank you to everyone who organized Kouka no Asobiba 2025, which was the catalyst for this. Thank you to Miyaku Miyaku too . I ‘m full lol. Thank you for watching until the end.
