【キャンピングカー】【納車】二年半待ちの人気車種 セキソーボディTOM200 新車で迎えます、唯一無二のキャブコン/控えめに言って最高な車

Fall 2025— After giving the Wide Vacances Plum L its final wash… We set out on a journey to sell it… Then we spent about two weeks living without a car, which was a bit inconvenient… And finally, this day has arrived… On the train— Sekisoh Body
TOM200 Delivery Trip! Today I’m heading there alone again. Taking the Hikari that stops at Toyohashi, I can get to Tokyo in about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Taking the bullet train, first to Tokyo— I’ve arrived at Tokyo Station! Though I almost never visit here by car. From the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line, transferring to the Tobu Isesaki Line, heading to Satte City in Saitama Prefecture. Even though it’s an express train, it’s over an hour of leisurely travel. This train can take you from central Tokyo all the way to Minami-Kurihashi (the northern edge of Saitama), but… If you accidentally fall asleep on the last train, you’re in for a rough time (not funny). I meet up with the sales rep at the station and head to Sekisoh Body. And now, finally… I’ve waited two and a half years… Meeting the TOM200! The color is “Light Yellow.”
This is a DX-exclusive color. It might be hard to tell on video, but there’s a subtle tint to it. Let’s take a look around. Since I’ve been driving a van conversion, even though this is a light cab-con, it feels big. The SEKISOH BODY matte black decals really stand out. Now I’ll be hearing explanations about the TOM200’s features. TOM200 Vehicle Overview A detailed room tour video is planned separately.
(Please stay tuned) For now, here’s a quick overview from the sales rep. I chose the optional keyless-linked entrance door. A dedicated key for the entrance door is included, but… Since it can be opened with the car’s wireless key, it won’t see much use. The entrance also has a screen door, but there are gaps, so watch out for bugs. The box on the door.
(Seems like it’ll be in the way, so I’ll probably remove it) The side baggage door opens by turning the key and then the lever. The AC outdoor unit is built in here. The rear baggage door has the same structure, and pushing it in at the end fully locks it. This is where the spare tire is located. The external power source is attached behind the driver’s seat. This allows you to charge the auxiliary battery and use 100V power. Since this HiAce grade is DX,
the radio antenna is the extendable type. Due to regulatory changes, the vehicle width modification now requires a truck-use monitor… This is the optional Pivot auto cruise.
This one comes with a lever. TOM200 Interior Overview Next, I’ll receive explanations about the interior equipment. The maintenance tool storage is located here. I chose a brown color scheme for the interior. At the entrance, there’s a central switch panel. First, the main lighting and multi-room lighting. Next, the kitchen and dinette overhead lighting. These turn on by touch.
The kitchen light has two levels. The Maxxair Fan is useful for ventilation. It can exhaust cooking odors and trapped heat—an essential camper item. I’m learning for the first time that there’s a lock mechanism.
Push it to lock. A 65-liter refrigerator. It’ll probably be filled with drinks… After use, a gap can be opened to prevent mold. If left on low power, the fridge won’t stay cold (green) on cold days, so it’s better to set it to high power. The sink is an optional, slightly larger glass panel. Fresh water and wastewater tanks are 20 liters each.
Should be enough for short trips. Right by the entrance, the water tanks are located under the sink. There’s also indirect lighting under the kitchen table.
It might be surprisingly bright. A fan is also installed in the outdoor unit room. The optional AC unit is a Mitsubishi Kirigamine. Webasto FF heater, with an optional multi-controller. There’s a vent outlet under the second-row seats. The rear heater can also be used while driving.
The switch is hidden behind the passenger seat… The driving charge on/off switch—basically, just leave it on (1). The Twinbird microwave (black) was brought in and installed. It’s a single-person apartment size. We had power run to the multi-room.
(For the Lap Pon toilet) Attaching and removing the dinette table. The table has foldable legs. The lock mechanism where the table hooks onto the wall is push-type. The over-cab bed is a pull-out type.
There’s space for two adults to sleep. The third-row seat can be easily opened by pulling the ring. Under the seat are the battery, driving charge electrical equipment, and the factory heater. A lead battery is currently installed, but
we plan to replace it with lithium. Receiving explanations about the breakers and such. When the seat is flat, the seatbelt buckles are hidden. Thread the buckle that was hidden under the seat through the gap. The window side has a three-point belt, so child seats can be installed. Because it uses FASP seats, the second-row seats also face forward. The buckle on the window is for the second-row seatbelt. Deploying FASP seats is hard and takes effort… Pulling the third-row seat forward makes it flat. This one goes smoothly! (Still looks tough though) By folding down the second-row seat and filling the gap, You create a space where two adults can sleep. The rear bunk bed room— The lower bunk can be folded to create a large cargo space. The multi-room can be pulled out and used as a toilet room. It’s a gimmick-filled, valuable storage space that can also be used as a closet. Receiving an explanation on opening the acrylic windows, but… If fully extended, it won’t pass vehicle inspection. However, with a simple wire lock, it’s fine for inspection. The window opening lever has grooves—locking it to the groove creates a gap. This allows safe ventilation. There are also screens and shades for privacy. This is the only upper storage with a door. The TOM200 low-profile version already has limited storage, but… With the addition of a home AC unit and microwave,
we’re down to just one. The engine bay—standard body, diesel 4WD, so it’s packed tight. Driving Home in the TOM200 Finally, I’m boarding the TOM200 and heading home. The other day I left something at C-LIFE, so when I mentioned stopping by, I’ve waited two and a half years for this.
It’s worth more than the purchase price, right? No, I’m not selling it. The driver’s seat still has that new car smell. There’s nothing in the navigation space, so I’ll use my smartphone as a GPS. The TOM200 drives without any particular concerns. I’ve always driven gasoline cars, so this is my first diesel. Successfully filled up with diesel, and off we go! Total mileage is still only 73 km—a new journey’s story is about to begin! “Turn left.” Unfamiliar with smartphone navigation, I missed the left turn and went straight… Off to a rough start?
Well, I’ll manage somehow. Due to Toyota’s HiAce production issues, after waiting two and a half years… It was finally delivered.
At last! Long delivery times for campers aren’t good for mental health (lol). But I think it was worth the wait. For impatient people, a new camper is absolutely not recommended (lol). A HiAce-riding cab-con is pretty much a one-of-a-kind existence. Unlike my previous van conversion, the interior is spacious, perfect for casual van camping trips. On the way, I was busy, so no video footage… I grabbed some ramen and stopped by C-LIFE. My old companion was there.
This is truly the final goodbye. Of course, they can’t appraise this one (lol).
I’ll take good care of it. Taking a break at the service area, the sun has completely set. The vehicle sway is minimal, and the ride quality is excellent. Half the distance left—driving the TOM200 home safely. Thinking about all the trips I’ll take with this TOM200… I’m so excited! Ow…
(Sorry, the camera wasn’t secured yet) Thank you so much for watching until the end. Presented by U-zy Trip
