A Japanese-Western room with a semi-open-air hot spring bath , spiny lobster, abalone, and a spectacular hot spring with a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean.This time, we will be introducing the charm of “Kamogawakan” in Kamogawa Onsen, Minamiboso, Chiba Prefecture.Please watch until the end to see “Kamogawakan” with its superb view and delicious food. hey! By car: 2 hours from Tokyo via Miyanogi JCT and 1 hour and 30 minutes via Aqua Line By train: Approximately 2 hours and 7 minutes by shuttle bus from Tokyo Station to Awa-Kamogawa Station Kamogawakan will be on your left. The pine forest we came into view , some of which are over 100 years old, creates a wonderful view of the Kamogawa River.The pine trees inside the hotel are also very well maintained.The entrance came into view and the staff guided us. Kamogawakan is on the 9th floor, and you can see the ocean and pine forest from the window.This is the lounge.We checked in here.Welcome drinks and sea bream crackers and towels were served.Pear rice crackers. While having some juice, we received an explanation of the inside of the building.We will now go to our room.This is the room we will be staying in this time.It is a Japanese-Western room with a hot spring semi-open-air bath.The Japanese-style room is 10 tatami mats in size and has a sofa by the window.You can see the Pacific Ocean from the window. There is a bedroom at the back left of the Japanese- style room.A spacious Simmons bed.This is the washroom.This is the hot spring semi-open-air bath.You can see the majestic Pacific Ocean.Now we will go to the private hot springs.There are two types of hot springs at Kamogawa Onsen, each with different water quality. There are 2 hot springs, one of which is “Shosai no Yu”, which has a salty spring quality that gives a refreshing feeling.The Shiosai no Yu includes “ Awa Hakkei no Yu” and “Shiraito no Bihada Yu” (men’s and women’s baths are swapped). As the name suggests , “Awa Hakkei no Yu” has eight types of baths scattered around. “ Shiraito no Bihada Yu” is a place where you can enjoy a beautiful skin bath while being soothed by the sound of the sea and the sounds of a pine forest. Next, go to the hot spring pool “HARUKA”. HARUKA is located on the 9th floor, the top floor. Change into your swimsuit or special clothes in the changing room here. The view is the best. The sea and the bath are in one. It’s like being in a private room.I’m very satisfied with the extraordinary time.It ‘s a mixed bath, so you can take it with your loved ones.After relaxing in the bath, I’m going to go eat.For dinner, I went to a private restaurant called “Yoshidaya.” The head chef here is He is said to be a “Chiba Master Craftsman/Japanese Cuisine Chef” and has received the Chiba Prefecture Chefs Association’s “Prefectural Governor’s Award.” As the name suggests, you will enjoy exquisite cuisine.We will have it in this private room today. The menu is assorted appetizers : ginkgo tofu, myoga and eggplant with autumn vegetables, raw jellyfish with vinegar, smoked mackerel sushi, hard sardines, spiny lobster, and abalone.I’ll have you cooking this alive! For the abalone, I’ll make it into a steak.For the spiny lobster, I’ll make it “Onikayaki” .Let’s have a toast! The smoked mackerel on top of the sushi is mackerel.It’s topped with fall vegetables and dried sardines.It’s crispy on the outside and has chestnuts inside.The sashimi is made with amberjack, red sea bream, bluefin tuna, squid, etc. ! The presentation was beautiful.The chef explained the fish carefully.It was fresh and very delicious.It was grilled lobster in the shell.It looked delicious.It was abalone steak , which was caught beautifully . It’s thick , juicy, soft, and goes perfectly with the delicious sauce!
