Cheers! Wow, this looks delicious ! I want to jump into this tank 😂 My Car Trip to Japan – Hokkaido Edition Day 2 of my trip to Hokkaido with a Korean friend. Heading to a sake brewery in Mashike Town. What’s this?! It’s the bus stop. 12:30 Mashike Town. I wonder if this is the water they use for their sake? Kunimare Sake Brewery. Founded in 1882, this is the northernmost sake brewery in Japan . Staff: Welcome, our kimoto sake. Looks delicious. Staff: People who like alcohol prefer kimoto sake. My driver’s husband only likes the aroma lol . Staff: This one is fine either cold or warm. Staff: Other than that, cold is usually best. Tokubetsu Junmai Sake . When you sip it, the sweetness hits you first. Staff: That’s right. It has an alcohol content of 18.5%. It’s got a solid amount of alcohol. It’s delicious! Staff member: It says “raw storage,” but it’s only been pasteurized once. “Kitajiman” Junmai Ginjo Staff member: Yes, it’s a Junmai Ginjo. It’s a good price. Staff member: That’s right. 😂 It has a soft taste. Staff member: When it comes to ginjo sake, the taste becomes softer. Staff member: This is a “sweet” sake. Staff member: It has a sweet taste and is slightly higher in alcohol. It has a gentle sweetness and is easy to drink. Delicious. Two to three bottles (let’s buy). Two to three bottles ? To purchase sake, take the product card and pay at the register. I end up buying three bottles of sake again. 😁 Shochu? What? Sake lees shochu? Oh, this is the first time I’ve seen a product like that. It’s 30 % alcohol. I’m curious . It smells like sake. 😁 Sorry, I tried a sample. 😁 I’m going for lunch in the port town . It’s quite a distance from Rumoi to Cape Soya, so we plan to stay two nights along the way. We arrive at the inn at 7:20 PM in Asahikawa City. We’re off to dinner. Chicken giblets. Egg (kumquat) . Delicious! Gizzards. The gizzards are delicious. Wow, that looks delicious. Chap (grilled whole piece of pork). This is my first chap-yaki. *Asahikawa chap-yaki is pork shoulder loin seasoned with yakitori sauce. Perfect! Eat rice . Three bowls of rice, one chicken giblet, one liver, one gizzard , an egg , another chap-yaki, and another chicken. It’s shinkoyaki. Delicious. Really delicious chicken giblets . Oh , is this “chicken giblets”?
