Okinawa JAPAN Walking Tour | Night Illumination & Botanical Garden Travel Experience

Welcome to the Southeast Botanical Gardens. This park is located in the city of Chibana, in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. This video was filmed in 4K.
Depending on your internet connection, you can adjust the default image quality in the YouTube video settings. The park is open all year round; however, nighttime illuminations like these are only visible from late October to late May. If you’re visiting Okinawa between November and May, don’t miss these gardens .
They’re a must-see! The daytime visit is very different from the nighttime experience.
If you can, I highly recommend discovering the park both during the day and at night. The gardens are divided into two distinct zones.
We are currently in the main park. The second park is called ECO LIGHT (featuring LED lighting).
It is located across from the main entrance, on the other side of Parking Lot No. 2.
Because it’s not very visible, many visitors overlook it. Feel free to ask for a map at the front desk, this second park is just as worth visiting.
Especially since the entrance fee includes access to both parks. It takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes to explore both areas.
The same goes for the nighttime visit, which offers entirely different visual atmospheres. Ideally, I recommend arriving around 4:00 or 4:30 p.m., having dinner on-site around 6:00 p.m., and then continuing your visit into the evening. Of course, these suggested times may vary depending on the season: night doesn’t fall at the same time in December as it does in May. After watching this video, I also recommend checking out the one filmed during the day, to compare the very different atmospheres. If you’re watching this video on the day it’s published, the daytime version will be available next week. In addition to the illuminations, laser shows synchronized to pop-rock music light up the edges of the palm groves. For copyright reasons, I had to remove the original audio from the video and replace it with royalty-free background music. Later in the video, I took advantage of a moment when the park’s music stopped temporarily. At that point, I kept part of the original sound so you could hear the pure nighttime sounds of Okinawa’s nature. I’ll now leave you to enjoy the video without interruption.
