How are you all? Welcome to the Nabe Travel Channel. This time, I’m going to visit Hakone Yutowa in Gora, Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture. It’s the first hotel in the Odakyu Resorts chain on Nabe Travel. It’s located in the popular tourist destination of Hakone, and is famous for being all-inclusive yet offering great value for money. I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of hotel it is! Let’s take a look together. Don’t forget to subscribe, like, and click the hive button . Let’s start with the room tour. This time, our room is room 409. I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of room it is ! Let’s open the door. This is what it looks like when you enter the room. The entrance is spacious, and you can even place a rolling cart here, which is very convenient. When you go upstairs, the room has a slightly unusual shape. There’s a twin bed, sofa, and TV on the left side . It has a simple design, and I personally like it because it’s not cluttered . On the back side, there are bath towels and obi. There are no towels in the large public bath or private bath, so you will need to bring them from your room. Below is a safe, which is a refrigerator. This hotel is all-inclusive, so there are no water or tea dispensers. The TV is about 32 inches, so it’s not that big, but you can see the hotel guide and other things. The bed is double size, so it’s quite spacious. There is an outlet where you can charge your phone, which is convenient. The view outside is not great, but people walking below will probably be able to see you, so please be careful of your privacy. This time, I booked through Rakuten Travel, and it was a standard twin room type with a one-night stay and two meals included in the Yutowa Free Flow Plan. It was 51,200 yen for two people on a weekday. There are many reasonably priced hotels in Hakone Gora, so I think this price is very good value. Next, let’s take a walk around the hotel. The rooms are on the third floor and above, and the facilities are shared on the first and second floors. I arrived at the lobby on the first floor of the East Building. There are yukatas next to the lobby, and I would like to go up from here to the second floor. On the second floor, there is a lounge that serves welcome drinks and the drinks and food change depending on the time of day. The interior is stylish and sophisticated, unified with a natural modern Scandinavian interior. The lounge has large windows that let in natural light, which blends in really well with the modern atmosphere. There are also English manga in the manga corner, as there are many foreign customers. From the lounge, you can go from the East Building to the West Building via the corridor. In the West Building is a courtyard. This courtyard has a foot bath, is lit up at night, and has a bonfire, which creates a really nice atmosphere. From this courtyard, you can also go to the condominium building. The atmosphere is nice, and the use of space is great. This is Yutowa. It opened in August 2019, so it’s been about six years, but it seems to have been very well maintained. Even the finer details of the interior are beautifully decorated, and it’s clear that attention has been paid to the finer details. The hot springs include a large public bath and private baths. Ninohira Onsen, one of Hakone’s 17 hot springs, is known for its beauty waters. Enjoy the private hot springs, which are said to leave your skin feeling smooth. There are two private baths , which you can use for free if they’re available. This is what the inside looks like. It’s quite adequate. After your bath, there’s free detox water and ice cream in the after-bath corner. After the hot springs, I’m feeling hungry, so let’s go see what dinner is like. Dinner is served at the restaurant on the third floor of the east building. The high ceiling design creates a spacious and relaxing atmosphere. In summer, there’s the famous Daimonji Yaki grill at Mt. Myojogatake, and in autumn, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the autumn leaves, which adds to the excitement. The menu includes seasonal dishes such as grilled dishes, tempura soba, and desserts. While the menu isn’t particularly extensive, each dish is of high quality. The red shrimp are plump and delicious. The rice dishes include tonkotsu ramen, and there’s a 90-minute limit on free drinks, including alcohol . The wide selection of drinks is a delight for those who love alcohol. Dinner is a half-buffet centered around Japanese cuisine. In addition to the buffet, you can choose one main dish, which changes with the seasons. Well then, everyone! The small dishes are all beautifully presented. The sea bream is beautifully colored and marinated with black pepper. The meat is moist and delicious . The saury and grilled eggplant are cute. It’s great that they have seasonal dishes. For the main course, I chose beef tenderloin grilled with miso on a hoba leaf. It just keeps on going. The red shrimp are plump and sweet, and incredibly delicious . It’s great to be able to eat this at a buffet level. The quality of each dish was quite high. This half-buffet is satisfying and good value. I also enjoyed some drinks, making for a satisfying dinner. After dinner, there’s bar time in the lounge. Here, you can enjoy all-you-can-drink desserts and alcohol. I got some pumpkin pudding and I’m totally drunk today. Next, let’s take a look at breakfast. Breakfast is a Japanese-Western buffet with about 30 different dishes using a variety of ingredients . It’s not just Japanese food, but I think even those who prefer bread for breakfast and Western food lovers will be satisfied. They have soup, salad, yogurt, and even breakfast curry, which is unique to this travel destination. So, I got some. I prefer Japanese food for breakfast, so I had a lot of Japanese food. The miso soup was clam soup, and there was a lot of it. The breakfast was also very filling . It’s about a 5-minute walk from Gora Station, making it an ideal base for sightseeing in Hakone.
