We’ve arrived in Kinmen! I was invited by the Ever Rich Golden Lake Hotel to bring Mr. Xu here for a super cool trip! We were immediately greeted with a five-star airport pick-up service as soon as we got off the plane . This time in Kinmen, we’re staying at the most expensive hotel in the area – the Ever Rich Golden Lake Hotel! Thank you for the invitation . A while ago , my friend told me it’s taro season in Little Kinmen , so I immediately booked a flight and flew over. This is my first time in Kinmen. I’m over thirty and have never been before. So, without further ado, let’s go! Welcome ! We’re off to Kinmen now to collect our luggage. The flight from Kaohsiung to Kinmen takes about an hour , which is quite fast , even faster than flying to Hong Kong, right ? Okay, enough of that! The hotel staff came to pick us up as soon as we landed. The hotel service was amazing! Wow, what a grand lobby! We’re staying in room 931 , the so-called lake-view room. Let me give you a quick look around our room. As soon as you enter, there’s a wardrobe. Okay , this is their coffee bar. When we checked in, they told us that everything in the refrigerator was provided by the hotel and we could help ourselves. The bathroom is quite large , with a bathtub and a sink. There’s a simple sink, Cha Zi Tang toiletries, a large hairdryer, and a separate wet and dry area. The toilet is over here. The most valuable thing about this room is the view in front of us. This is the view from the front— facing Taihu Lake, a view of the entire Taihu Lake! It’s beautiful, absolutely beautiful! Let me tell you, there’s something I really appreciate about this hotel room. In the past, when we stayed in hotels, there was only one sofa chair, and that jerk would take it away. But this hotel, to match the lake view , has two sofa beds. I can lie down here, and the two sofa beds are… The distance is far enough that the two of us don’t need to be together all the time. Let me show you how far the distance is. The furthest distance… Before staying at the Jinhu Hotel, many friends told me that the Jinhu Hotel is actually a family-friendly hotel. You can see for yourself the Battlefield Elementary School on the 3rd floor. In addition to the playground facilities for children, there are also facilities for adults. Look, Mr. Xu can come here with Fanfan to play football. There is a small go-kart track in the indoor area in front. I can’t drive this car because it is only for children. There is also an F1 race car in the back. We came to the pool. Sorry, I forgot to bring my room key. Sorry. We didn’t order that, we didn’t order that room service. Please leave, haha, I forgot to bring it ! Sorry ! Is there anything I can help you with? For dinner tonight, we’ve decided to dine at the Lake View Restaurant inside the hotel. This Lake View Restaurant is very special ; it’s only buffet on Fridays and Saturdays, the rest of the time it’s à la carte Chinese food. The Chinese dishes are mixed with a lot of Hong Kong style dishes. We’re super hungry right now, so we’ll wait for the food to arrive and then I ‘ll introduce it to you one by one. Let’s eat! Let’s eat! Let’s eat! This was served by mistake , so it’s just a complimentary dish. I really like the shrimp rolls. The shrimp rolls seem to be a popular choice on Google reviews, apparently because their tofu skin shrimp rolls are also a signature dish. When you were taking the picture, I could hear the tofu skin making a very crispy sound. It’s a thin layer, but incredibly crispy. I’ve had shrimp rolls from other Hong Kong-style restaurants before, and some of their tofu skin was scratchy. But theirs is as thin as a biscuit, very crispy. I think the portion of their Sichuan peppercorn pickled fish is enough for 3-4 people. And each piece of grouper meat is quite thick , not a thin slice . I especially love the skin part of the grouper. The duck is so bouncy and bouncy, especially if you’re bringing kids and don’t want to travel too far on your first day and want them to rest. I think dining in a restaurant is a great option. After your meal, you can take the kids around the restaurant because it’s really spacious. The roast duck is so juicy! The skin is crispy and the fat melts in your mouth. Plus, the tangy plum sauce on the side is definitely a signature dish— so delicious! If you’re dining on a weekday like we were, ordering à la carte is perfect for a large family, since you can order one dish at a time. Each dish is about enough for 3-4 people, which I think is just right. There are so many dishes to choose from! I even had a decision paralysis when I was choosing – I wanted to try everything! My sesame taro roll finally arrived, thank goodness! I really wanted to try this when I was looking at the menu. It combines my favorite sesame and taro paste. I originally thought the sesame and taro paste was wrapped inside the filling, but it’s not! The sesame is on the outside. It’s coated with white sesame seeds, and the inside is pure taro paste. It tastes surprisingly delicious . The outer layer is crispy, like a fried spring roll, and when you bite into it, you can feel the sesame seeds… The aroma was wonderful! The taro paste in the middle was sweet and fragrant, and it wasn’t dry at all. If you’re visiting Kinmen for the first time and don’t want to go out and about, I think it’s best to eat at the restaurant. Their Lakeview Restaurant is really good, and the price is reasonable. If you’re coming with a group, you can order a wider variety of dishes, which would be even better. After this meal, I’m even more looking forward to tomorrow’s breakfast. So let’s continue our meal! Good morning everyone! We’re having breakfast at the restaurant today . Like other restaurants, their breakfast is at the Lakeview Restaurant on the first floor. Let ‘s go in and eat! Let me show you what’s on the buffet first. Good morning, sir! I need to give you a quick tour before you decide what to eat, because you can’t eat everything at the buffet , so it’s important to see what’s available first. Excuse me, other people are having a meal. Can you please stop making so much noise over there ? Hehehe. Okay, now we’ve arrived at the baking area I need most. First, I see apple pie , then their bread section. Their bread is made by the cafe next door, and it’s all made by their restaurant. So if you’re still unsure whether to buy anything, you can try some here first and then decide whether to go to the cafe next door to buy. Next, we’ve arrived at the dim sum area. Let me see what they have. Small buns, I think they’re custard buns or something. Is that gua bao? Gua bao skin. This looks like a sesame bun. Oh, I’m going to eat mini rice dumplings and shumai later. In the cooked food section, let me see this. It’s so special! It’s called Kinmen Gua Xi Rou. Isn’t that the meat inside gua bao? Why is it called Gua Xi Rou ? There are also sausages and grilled items. The grilled mackerel and fried mackerel are served with French fries. This scallion pancake and fried dough stick … could it be my favorite taro? But where are the taro and steamed pork ribs ? They ‘ve all left over taro. It seems like people don’t really like taro. There ‘s also taro miso soup, Kinmen noodles, and Mr. Hsu’s favorite Cantonese congee. Oh, how come I’ve run into you again? Next to it are some side dishes for the Cantonese congee. My favorite is red bean curd and pork floss. Mr. Hsu likes crispy bamboo shoots and peanuts. You can eat them with the Cantonese congee next to it. Sweet potato and radish cake are served over here. There’s also battlefield-style fried instant noodles. Good morning! Here we have beef noodles and danzai noodles. Okay , on the left is hand-brewed beef soup. Thank you . There’s also fried egg and hand-brewed beef soup over here. I’ll drink it later. This is the vegetarian area: pumpkin vegetables, steamed corn, and white congee. If you don’t… If you want Cantonese congee , this place also has plain congee and a salad bar. Eating salad in the morning is very important. There’s also a fruit bar, and Mr. Xu insisted on drinking Yakult yesterday. So, I’m going to pick up my food now. Go ! Time for breakfast! My breakfast with Mr. Xu is really different, you can see it? So much bread, bread, bread! And over there is … This is his breakfast today’s 5 highlights. Let me introduce them to you. First, the first thing you must try when you come to Kinmen is Kinmen Cantonese congee! You can have Kinmen Cantonese congee for breakfast here. It also comes with a whole bunch of side dishes. Teacher, I have a question. I can completely understand using this bowl to serve the Cantonese congee, but why are the side dishes served in this… Why is the packaging like this? And you’re really picky. He only picked out pickled bamboo shoots and peanuts. Okay, please don’t interrupt me. Secondly, their specialty is Kinmen noodles. Thirdly, the must-try Kinmen fried instant noodles. We haven’t had fried instant noodles on this trip, but the restaurant let us eat them right there. Next is the beef soup, freshly made beef soup. I just saw you taking pictures over there , and the chef just told me that I must drink the freshly made beef soup. Finally, their signature dish is their clear stewed beef noodles . I think the beef in their beef noodles is something you add yourself. Did he pick the meat for me? He already helped you. Once it’s all set up, it’s a pour-over area where a chef will handle everything for you. My breakfast set includes five dishes: Cantonese congee, noodles , freshly brewed beef soup, clear beef noodles, and stir-fried instant noodles . These are the five must-try items for breakfast at their place, right? May I ask what kind of Yakult this little one is? I drank a bottle yesterday when I came in. I mainly focused on their bread because when I checked in , they told us that the bread provided at their breakfast bar is homemade by their coffee shop. Do you see this? Do you remember what this is? That giant bread, the milk giant bread , its mini version. It just so happens that the buffet bar has it today because I heard that their buffet bar bread isn’t… It’s definitely the same every day, so you might get to try different kinds when you come. When I saw it, I immediately took it to bake. This giant bread is said to be made without adding a single drop of water. It’s delicious ! This bread is indeed delicious; it’s made without adding a single drop of water. It has a very strong, pure egg and milk flavor. It’s unfilled, although it’s quite large, but without filling , you can mainly enjoy the aroma of the bread itself . It’s quite delicious! You can buy some to take home later because they sell it at the cafe. If you want to take some back, you should go early ; I heard it sells out quickly. If you come to Kinmen and don’t want to go from one shop to another, eating fried noodles, instant noodles, and going from place to place, then this… We can get all our breakfast needs in one stop here. Their breakfast has a lot of Kinmen specialties, including taro. So let’s continue with breakfast! We’ve entered the Folk Culture Village. We’re looking for Grandma Wang’s Snack Shop in Shanhou Folk Culture Village. I heard her oyster noodles and oyster omelets are delicious. I saw the sign over there! Over there! Over there! Can you see Grandma Wang’s Snack Shop under the tree? My husband is already sitting there waiting for me. What do you mean ? Oh, sorry , sorry, why are you already here ? I’ve been waiting to eat! Have you ordered yet? We ordered an oyster noodle soup and an oyster omelet, both their signature dishes . Our oyster omelet and oyster noodle soup are served. Today we ordered the oyster omelet… The oyster vermicelli is NT$90 , and so is the oyster omelet. They’re all made to order, so you might have to wait a little while after ordering . I just went to the kitchen to check on their oyster omelet. It’s covered in densely packed rock oysters. Because the oysters in Kinmen are natural, not farmed , they’re a bit different from the oyster omelets on the main island of Taiwan—they’re smaller. But I think they taste better. I prefer the smaller ones, like in Penghu. The characteristic of the smaller ones is that they don’t have a fishy smell . Their oyster omelet style is like this: it’s coated in egg, so the edges are fried until golden brown, and then covered in a thick sauce, kind of like the sauce used for meatballs. Its sauce is sweet and sour, and I really love the edges. The edges are fried until crispy, and you can see the center still has a slightly chewy texture. You can also see the fermented soybean paste on top, with little granules. The sauce tastes quite different from what I’ve had in Taiwan. The ones on the main island are much spicier and saltier, with a bit of peanut powder added. But this one is just pure vinegar. The crispy oyster omelet dipped in this sour sauce is very refreshing. And the edges aren’t the scratchy kind of crispy; they’re the thin, crispy kind, like the egg batter from frying . I really love it! I think one small drawback of oyster omelets is that they can get a bit greasy after cooling down. Luckily, it’s best to eat them immediately before they get cold. This bowl has a generous amount of oysters, and the seasoning is somewhat similar to Taiwanese oyster omelets , with fried shallots. This bowl is so refreshing! It has a very light seasoning of fried shallots and pepper, mainly pepper . The oysters are truly as everyone says— completely not fishy. Look at the middle part here ; I think the rock oysters are very firm and juicy. The whole dish is sweet . I like these small oysters ; I think they’re more fragrant and have a better seafood flavor, even though they’re not as big . It doesn’t affect its power at all ; it tastes sweet and the meat is delicious. I feel like we’ve accidentally wandered into someone’s home for a meal. They’re discussing their family matters while we eat our oyster omelet. When we first walked in, we also felt it was very chill, a unique flavor . Since
they’re just opening, everyone is relaxed and taking their time, which is great. Halfway through our meal , a tour group arrived. This place is actually a cultural village , so if you come on a weekend, tour groups might visit here. We’ll take you to see the buildings next door later; they ‘re very special. Didn’t you once say something like, ” Fat people eat…”? It’s delicious! This is the scene, everyone remember it. I love eating with Fatty. Many of my friends are chubby, and I really enjoy being friends with them because I think chubby people are all very nice. People who like to eat aren’t bad people, and I really like chubby people . The Shanhou Folk Culture Village is actually a large settlement. It’s built in the Minnan style. It was originally built by successful overseas Chinese businessmen who gathered together to build this place. It used to be called Haoyeren Village . I heard there’s a place where you can throw coins in, like a traditional Chinese wishing well. If you make a wish there and go back, you’ll be successful in business. Is that because their family is wealthy? Everyone goes there and throws in money, and they take that money to do business. You go home and become rich! ( Arrived at Mashan Observatory, just arrived…) After visiting the ethnic cultural village in the mountains, we went to the nearby Mashan Observatory. This was one of the attractions Mr. Xu specifically requested to see. Brother, look ahead, that’s right, I’m here to see “Reclaim My Rivers and Mountains .” We’re going into the observatory now! Please don’t run! Mr. Xu is 1.8 meters tall, so be careful of your head while walking inside. I’m 1.66 meters tall, so walking isn’t a problem , haha. Here’s a reference for everyone: this echo has an echo! We walked quite a distance, and we can observe the opposite bank . Oh, it really is a small hole. The view is so clear! How about someone taking a bath? Is that right? Someone is taking a bath. Who is it? Male or female ? – Pretty? – Let me see, let me see. Let me observe carefully. Auntie? Sister? Younger sister? Oh my, is she beautiful? Oh no, no way! I put on my clothes and oh dear, what a mess! We ‘ve arrived at Koh Samet Old Street. My main purpose here is to visit their Koh Samet Morocco. Apparently, there are a few small yellow houses in Koh Samet Old Street that look like a Taiwanese version of Little Morocco , making it a must-visit spot for Instagrammers. My husband is currently scoffing. I’m telling you, don’t come here. It’s incredibly boring ; it’s just a place for women to take pictures. It’s such a small place with absolutely no cultural charm. There’s clearly more… Don’t be like that, don’t misunderstand it. Hurry up and come with me. My wife isn’t here right now. Listen to my heartfelt advice, everyone ! Let’s take pictures! Oh , in Koh Samet Old Street, I’m going to buy a Fujian-style sesame seed cake. I heard it’s a popular spot for… The must-try here is their sesame seed cake, which is quite different from the ones in Taiwan. Theirs are all filled, unlike the sesame seed cakes you usually find at breakfast shops. I even managed to buy some Fujian-style sesame seed cakes back home! Coming to Koh Samet and Morocco, the thing I really wanted to eat was this Fujian- style sesame seed cake. It’s different from the ones in Taiwanese breakfast shops; it’s filled, and they have both sweet and savory versions. The sweet one is filled with a mixture of sugar, and the savory one is filled with chopped scallions and minced pork – a savory flavor. I’m really interested in the sweet one. Do you prefer sweet or savory ? Yes, sweet! Many people have told me their sweet sesame seed cakes are very special and delicious . Legend has it that once you try one, you’ll want to buy more! I brought a box back to Taiwan, and I’m going to eat the sweet one first. The sweet one is shaped like a long , thin cake, and the photographer’s face is covered in sesame seeds. It’s not my fault, okay? The wind blew, and now my face is covered in sesame seeds, bro. The sweet one is shaped like a long, thin cake, and what’s really thoughtful is that you order it, and it ‘s freshly baked. It’s piping hot, I don’t know if it’s true, but mine was piping hot. I don’t know if you guys will get it ice-cold if you come during a long weekend. I’ll take a bite, and you can help me bite off the edge. It’s very similar to a sesame seed cake, but it doesn’t taste like a flatbread. It has absolutely nothing to do with the flatbreads from breakfast shops; they’re completely different. It’s a crispy version of a sun cake —no , it ‘s a thicker version of a sun cake. Before, sun cakes were thin and very crispy. But theirs isn’t like theirs; it’s thick and the sweetness is perfectly controlled. Its sweetness isn’t cloyingly sweet at all . It feels like it’s wrapped in a layer of cream, but it’s not overly sweet. Its sweetness is about 3/10, which is just right. For me, it’s the kind of sweetness you only need to experience once in your life. Next up is the bread version of the sun cake. The savory ones are round, and their bottoms are beautifully baked, which I really appreciate . You might think it’s like a Taiwanese pepper cake, and you might expect it to taste like one. But it’s not like a Taiwanese pepper cake; the pepper flavor is very strong. It’s a lighter, more delicate version, very subtle. The meat filling inside has only a light meaty aroma. Most importantly, it ‘s also… It’s the thickness of the flatbread inside that’s delicious; it really feels like a bread version of a flatbread. The sesame seeds on the surface add to the aroma, and the layers inside are wonderful. Eating it hot makes you think, “Wow, so crispy! ” It truly is the best flatbread in Kinmen. If you come to Shami, you have to try this! I’m covered in crumbs and sesame seeds right now! Be careful , you can’t eat this outdoors! Next, I’m going to buy 823 sweet potato pastries, which are sold in my bakery. I saw this online; it’s very unique and cute . They also have these, and their most famous ones seem to be these realistic taro pastries and sorghum brownies . 823 sweet potato pastries… Oh no ! A bomb is exploding! Run! An air raid is coming! Air raid shelter! My God! Well, I just bought two pastries from my bakery, but I was a little surprised by the price. They’re so small, and one is 55 yuan. I bought the smaller ones today, but they’re 55 yuan each. I just took out 100 yuan, thinking I’d get change, but they said, “Sorry, it’s 110, oh, 55 each. ” When I first entered the store, I saw they had quite a few unusual things , but the one I really wanted to buy was the 823 sweet potato pastry. It’s filled with sweet potato filling. The other one, which I really wanted, was taro and salted egg yolk pastry. They had taro and salted egg yolk pastry and taro mochi. I wanted the salted egg yolk one, so I’m going to try it. One bite reminded me of Mary Mary ‘s chestnut cake from Yancheng District, which is similar to this one. It looks exactly the same . The inside is a thick sweet potato filling, and the outer skin has a pastry-like texture. I actually think it’s quite delicious. It costs 10 yuan , but I think it’s very tasty . The sweet potato filling isn’t the kind that ‘s so sweet it has no sweet potato aroma ; it does have a sweet potato aroma . Although the sweetness level is about 8/10, it’s quite delicious. However, the price is a bit high. If you’re someone who doesn’t like sweets, don’t buy it because it’s a pastry, and the sweetness level is indeed a bit high. The sweet potato aroma is very strong. You can buy it and see. We’re going to try the real taro version of taro pastry. The outer skin is even crispier than the 823 cannonball pastry we just tried. The bottom is really crispy, and the filling in the middle is a rich taro filling. Kinmen taro is really delicious; their taro aroma is very strong, and the sweetness is just right. It’s about 70-80% sweet . If you don’t like sweets, don’t buy this. But if you’re a taro or sweet potato lover like me, you can give it a try, it’s quite delicious. We finally got back to the city. In Kinmen, you absolutely must try Yongchun Cantonese Congee. Many friends who come to Kinmen tell us that they eat this bowl before leaving. What’s special about this place is that it has a lot of ingredients. It has pork balls, fish balls, pork liver, and lots of eggs. Did you take a picture of the fish balls? You ordered this bowl, is it the signature dish ? I think there’s a seafood version and another signature dish . No, no , it actually has many flavors. They also have preserved egg and lean pork congee. If you want to eat preserved egg and lean pork, you can order that one, but what I ordered today was… Kinmen congee is so delicious! I love it! The broth is amazing! You absolutely must try it when you come. The fried dough sticks seem to be from a nearby century-old shop called Heji Fried Dough Sticks . The way to eat them is to dip them in the congee . Kinmen fried dough sticks are a bit like bread —I was just about to say that—very thick and chewy, just like bread. They’re not greasy . They really feel like eating twins, the thinner twins. There are actually quite a few congee shops around here. If you have your own preferred texture, you can look them up. But the one we ate at today, Yongchun, I thought was incredibly delicious. Next, we’re going to make steel knives. This time, our hotel accommodation was in collaboration with Kinmen’s very powerful Jinheli. We can make keychains from steel knives. If you don’t look at the photos and just read the words, you might think annealing is like heating or cooling . Many people talk about eating watermelon and drinking herbal tea, but our annealing is heating. We use heat to change the shape of the piece. You need to use the edges and corners to hammer. So, I personally like to hammer at a specific angle . The resulting knife will be dark. After polishing, it will become shiny. You can also polish our keychains to make them shiny because they have a larger surface area . Remember, when hammering, you need to hammer vertically , then pick up all four pieces … Ta-da ! That’s right, kkkkkk! We’ve finished our steel knife keychains! This time, the Jinhu Hotel we stayed at had a collaboration with Jinheli Steel Knives. After we got the discount coupon… I dragged Mr. Hsu here to make this keychain. I think this craft class is quite unique to Kinmen and very fun. Especially the shop, they even have a craftsman making steel knives on-site to show you and tell you about the history and background of the steel knife industry. I think it’s very characteristic of Kinmen. I think their knives are super cool , and the craftsman was right behind me , annealing the knives with a machine and hammering them directly. I thought it was very cool. They are all men who handle knives, so don’t mess with them, okay? This activity is highly recommended for adults and children alike. It’s very fun . If you ever come to Kinmen, you can also plan an indoor experience like this, because Kinmen is really hot. Indoor experiences like this are suitable for both adults and children. Excuse me, I’d like a custard one. Thank you! I finally got to eat Fat Chicken Cake! This Fat Chicken Cake stall is the one Mr. Hsu kept insisting I eat here since I came to Kinmen. I was so angry! How could anyone come to Kinmen to eat chicken cake? Hey bro, their chicken cakes are different! Look at the shape! They basically make all of Kinmen’s specialties into chicken cake shapes. When I saw that shape, I forgave it a little because it’s a Battlefield-themed chicken cake with tanks, otters , the Wind Master , Kinmen’s city gate, and horseshoe crab. Do you know why we pronounce it? Because we just Googled it. We’ve increased our knowledge, okay? As soon as Mr. Hsu arrived at the stall, he said he wanted to eat… Did I ask you to eat the chariot? I told the owner to leave the chariot for me, thank you. There are 5 flavors to choose from . I chose custard today. They also seem to have cheese, brown sugar mochi, and original chocolate flavors. You can choose one of each, it’s 65 yuan. But you can’t mix and match flavors, which is a bit of a pity. We were just talking about otters at the stall. People from Kinmen have seen them since they were kids, and they can still be seen near Taihu Lake. We live right next to Taihu Lake, but we haven’t seen any. We found out they are nocturnal animals . If you don’t go out to see the bioluminescent plankton at night, you might not be able to see them. We just saw them on the roadside near Taihu Lake. The otter logo is so don’t be too surprised if you see an otter while riding around there, okay? It’s quite delicious. The cake itself is very soft and fluffy, with a sweet custard filling that’s like pudding. Plus, the edges are baked until slightly crispy. This one costs 65 yuan, it’s cute and delicious. It’s a really good sponge cake . If you’re eating Cantonese congee in this area, you can buy a sponge cake while you’re at it. Just so you know , they only sell three things here: egg dogs, egg flavor, and fried instant noodles . I’ll explain what egg dogs and egg flavor are later. Go order first. Egg dogs are scallion pancakes that have been fried and then filled with eggs and hot dogs. Egg flavor is filled with eggs and flavor. One sausage, one hot dog, one with sausage. Sorry, I’d like an egg dog. Thank you, one egg dog is fine. We’ve arrived at Hequan Shopping Center. Hequan Shopping Center is located in Jinhu, a place that looks like a general store. Besides its general store characteristics, this shopping center also sells three very special things: one is called “Egg Dog,” another is called “Egg Fragrance,” and the last is “Fried Instant Noodles” —all very fattening afternoon tea items. Today I ordered the egg dog. Coming to Kinmen, the egg dog is what I most wanted to eat because it’s a fried scallion pancake wrapped with a fried egg and a hot dog inside. It’s basically a starch bomb, a complete calorie bomb! Actually, we went to Little Kinmen yesterday to film… A restaurant called Huaxing Trading Company serves a dish called “Fragrant Egg,” which is a combination of sausage and egg. I don’t know if the name is reversed in Little Kinmen, because they call it “Fragrant Egg, ” while we call it “Egg Fragrance.” But I haven’t finished yet. When we went back to review the footage from the restaurant we filmed yesterday, it was all recorded in slow motion, so you can’t see that restaurant. This one is on Kinmen Island, and the other one is on Little Kinmen, so you have to cross the Kinmen Bridge. You’ll have to assess the distance yourself. How delicious ! It’s a little different from the other restaurant in Little Kinmen. Huaxing Trading Company gives you the sauce separately so you can add it yourself. Linhequan, on the other hand, adds it directly inside. Did you see the chili sauce inside? It’s already added . The chili sauces from both restaurants are very similar, both having a sweet and sour flavor, like Thai-style sweet and spicy. Both also have a super crispy outer layer. The fried scallion pancakes are delicious, the oiliness is amazing! Inside, there’s a fried egg , but I haven’t even bitten into the dog yet. My dog and your dog are in the middle. But they’re quite thoughtful—I’ll digress for now—they wrap it up and use a rubber band to secure it, so you can eat it without it being messy or falling apart. This dog is like the big hot dog you usually eat at night markets, just much thicker. Some people say it looks a bit like the hot dog from 7-Eleven’s Big Hamburger; it looks quite similar and tastes quite good. Next… Next time I come, I’ll probably still eat the whole freshly fried hot dog. It’s crispy, oily, and has a satisfyingly meaty filling. The meaty texture is like a super bomb of starch and meat! If you come to Kinmen, I suggest two people share one. It ‘s quite a substantial portion, a thick, whole one. I just saw someone eating fried instant noodles, and it looked delicious, but unfortunately we couldn’t finish it. Can you eat it for us? Finally, our three-day, two-night trip to Kinmen is over. This time, Mr. Xu and I rode motorcycles the whole way to many historical sites and attractions in Kinmen to learn about the war history. We also ate a lot of local Kinmen cuisine and even made steel knife keychains. We made the most of our three days and two nights to have a good time in Kinmen. Thanks again to Jinhu Restaurant! The store’s invitation gave us the opportunity to visit Kinmen. That’s all for today’s video. If you liked our video, please remember to like, subscribe, and share. See you next time! Bye-bye ! Look ahead, otters are spotted here, please be careful ! Taihu Lake is so beautiful! There are 3D murals all around Taihu Lake; you can come here to take Instagram-worthy photos. Hey , my goodness! Back in 1949, all Kinmen residents, regardless of age, gender, or marital status, had the duty to serve the country. Look at this, from under 11 years old— what kind of environment is this? My goodness, I don’t know what society was like back then. I just feel a deep sadness. Wow, look at this, it’s really…
