土耳其EP1|布爾薩太驚喜:綠色清真寺×絲綢市集×愛琴海夕陽
Turkey, a charming country straddling Europe and Asia with numerous World Heritage sites, is the place we visited this time. We traveled from Ephesus, Pamukkale, Cappadocia , hot air balloons, Safranbolu, to the Hagia Sophia, each stop breathtakingly beautiful. This is a country I would love to visit again and again , and I’m so glad I got to know it so early. To begin our colorful Turkish journey, we first had to embark on a long trek. Fortunately, upon landing, we headed straight to the Bursa Green Mosque and the Silk Market, finally concluding with a sunset over the Aegean Sea. If you’re also curious about Turkey, follow along! Hi everyone , I’m currently at Dubai Airport. Today’s episode is about Turkey + Dubai 1… The itinerary for the first two days of the 2-day tour was basically a long journey from Taiwan to Bursana, Turkey . My first leg involved flying from Taiwan to Turkey, an 8-hour flight, then a 6-hour layover at Dubai airport before transferring to Istanbul, followed by another 4.5-hour flight. After Istanbul , we immediately took a bus to Bursana, concluding the first two days’ itinerary. The official sightseeing tour wouldn’t begin until the third day. Dubai airport is absolutely enormous; just getting from gate A to gate C by bus takes 10 minutes. The food here is also very… Especially if your credit card is linked to the Universal Club lounge, you can rest there. A 6-hour layover is really long, so it’s more comfortable to find a lounge to relax in . There are an incredible number of tour groups flying from Taiwan to Dubai because everyone is probably going to Greece or Italy and will be transiting in Dubai. The tour leader will specifically remind you to find the right person after you get off the plane in Dubai, otherwise you’ll end up on the wrong plane, on the wrong tour, or on the wrong Emirates flight. If it’s an overnight flight, they provide an overnight kit. The overnight kit contains a toothbrush, toothpaste , earplugs , an eye mask, long socks , and a bookmark. This time, I took four flights. We were all on an Airbus A380 . One thing I found a little uncomfortable was that the flight was at 11:50 PM, which is our natural sleeping time. The flight was 8 hours, but they served two meals during that time. We should have been sleeping, but we ate two meals in those 8 hours , which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. I forgot to mention that An An didn’t come , haha. There’s no sound because I’m using headphones. This person is genuine; although I thought I slept well on the plane , I was still fast asleep in the VIP lounge. We can exchange money here first. The tour guide collects everyone’s money. The tour guide exchanges money one at a time . The most important sites in Turkey and the cities you will visit: Iran, Iraq, Israel, and Egypt— all of these were once part of the Ottoman Empire. After World War I, the Ottomans were called the “Sick Man of West Asia ” and the ” Sick Man of East Asia” by Europeans. This refers to the Qing Dynasty. The “Sick Man of East Asia” was also known as the “Father of the Nation ” or ” Revolutionary Nation.” Their father was Kemal Atatürk. This bridge is called Osman Bridge. Osman is what we write as Ottoman, but in Turkish it’s called Osman. This chocolate bar is pretty good. Divide by 1.3 to get NTD. A large bottle of Coke multiplied by 0.8 is 60 NTD . They also have Dubai chocolates here; one costs 175 lira. The restroom toilets are quite clean. Today’s word is… (Today’s Turkish word is…) Merhaba (Hello) After a 24-hour flight and car ride, we finally arrived at our hotel in Bursa! My butt is about to burst! Dinner is a buffet at the restaurant. Our first hotel today looks quite large , all turquoise! We can see some scenery from outside. The room is quite spacious. Let’s take a look at the bathroom. The bathroom is also pretty good, quite spacious. The amenities include hand cream, shower gel, lotion , shampoo , and soap . The hairdryer is a very basic one, it seems like it will take a long time to blow-dry. The shower space is quite large; the towels are attached to a rack inside the shower. We need to hurry up and have dinner so we can come back and rest. Tomorrow we’ll set off at 9:30 am. Let’s begin our third day’s itinerary. This really seems like Mediterranean cuisine! Although they eat Mediterranean food , what I got doesn’t look like Mediterranean food at all. I got a starchy spice soup (yogurt rice soup). I thought it was flour that hadn’t been stirred properly. Oh, it’s rice! Why is it sour ? I’m not used to it, but it’s not bad. I think it’s sour, it tastes like yogurt. If I said it was yogurt, it would make more sense. Mediterranean cuisine is basically salad, then grilled meat and pickled vegetables. I heard that the grilled meat here is generally very dry, but this chicken… It’s not bad, it’s quite juicy and sour. It’s not bad, but… not tasty , haha. The dessert is too sweet; the whole thing is soaked in syrup. Good morning everyone! Today we’re finally starting our first sightseeing trip: the Silk Market, the Green Mosque, and the Mausoleum. We’ll eat Alexandria kebab, and then we’ll drive over 400 kilometers to Kusadasi. Finally, we’ll stay overnight in Kusadasi. Let’s see what breakfast looks like at this hotel. Turkish black tea is typically served in this kind of cup. This goes well with the black tea. It’s alright ; it’s not too sweet. It only has a sesame flavor, which is quite fragrant. That kayak cream can be served with bread. Those round pieces on the bread are Turkish bagels. Yesterday, the tour guide said that a Turkish breakfast must have three things: cheese, Turkish tea, and olives. I just noticed their egg is quite special, with lots of spices —it’s a boiled egg with spices, and I thought it would have a unique flavor. The beef roll with scallions and minced beef tastes just like Taiwanese scallion pancakes. The cheese potato is really delicious; the potato is moist inside. Eating cheese alone is too monotonous; pairing it with ham makes it less greasy. Look at the many colors inside— red, green, blue, indigo, and violet —that’s chowder. The colorful one should be olive Turkish tea. It ‘s unsweetened, but I added sugar and it tasted quite good. Because I just drank unsweetened black tea, the flavor came through and it wasn’t bitter. Turkish black tea is very famous; with sugar, it’s practically MOS black tea. Let’s try their Turkish bagel with cream (oops!). The bagel itself is quite sweet , and the topping seems to be mostly sugar. Turkish delight paired with this traditional pastry and Turkish black tea … the texture is a bit like peanut brittle , and the taste is also like peanut brittle. The sesame flavor is even sweeter than the Taiwanese version, no wonder it’s paired with Turkish black tea. They only open at 10 am ; they mainly sell scarves , clothes, plates, and decorations. If you want Turkish black tea or coffee, there’s a place in the courtyard downstairs where people usually like to drink coffee. This is our market (in Taiwanese). It’s been around for hundreds of years, almost 500 years ! If you want to use the restroom, go down those stairs. It costs 10 lira, and they’ll give you change. This is an ancient post station. Eating from this bowl would make you feel good ! 1650 isn’t cheap . This is 100 percent. Silk (this is 100% silk), not acrylic, not polyester. This is natural. Oh, this is cash price, not bad. It seems like it’s Sunday , so many shops are closed. There are also dessert shops, but they’re not open, which is a pity. But there’s still plenty to browse. This shop is full of small silk scarves . Hey , look, one here is only 100 lira. But I think although it’s cheaper here, the one you just saw has a better texture. It’s a famous Turkish product. Blue eyes are for praying for good luck and protection. Hang it on the car … yeah, that’s right . Haha. There are some coffee shops. There are also people shopping over there. Wow, so many items ! This looks like a shopping street in Japan. The Yebursa Grand Mosque is right next to the silk market we visited. Silk Market, Green Mosque, World Heritage Site. The Ottoman Empire was almost destroyed by the Mughals in its early days. The Ottoman Empire had no sultan for more than ten years . The princes fought for power until they were buried in this mausoleum . After Hammud I, they established their dynasty. The shrines are all stalactite-shaped, with shoe racks —it’s beautiful! The top side is where the royal family prays. The Green Mosque is located in Bursa, Turkey. It is famous for its extensive use of green and blue tiles, representing early Ottoman architecture and pioneering the Bursa style. The complex was built in 1412 by order of Sultan Mehmed I and completed in 1419. Let’s go have lunch! Turkish kebab, freshly squeezed juice, one by one. Would you like pomegranate juice? One pomegranate juice. This pomegranate juice is a little astringent . It’s a local specialty. You can try it; it’s very natural . Thank you. Thank you. This soup tastes like mung bean soup. Is hot mung bean soup with bread tastier? Wow, so pretty! Hahaha. The kebab is super tender . I think the bread with yogurt is quite delicious. I quite like this dish. It’s delicious! Döner kebap: Actually, Turkey is one of the earliest nations to learn how to make bread. The dessert, pudding, is handmade and has a nice, sweet flavor ; it’s quite delicious. Today’s group lunch was pretty good. After lunch, we’ll drive over 400 kilometers to Kusadasi. One liter of fuel costs 40.18 lira, I think. We’re currently at our first rest stop. We’ll stop at two rest stops in total, each for 15 minutes. Besides needing to pee, we can also browse the shops and see what they sell. The Turkish delight here is incredible! Lots of things I’ve never seen before ! This one is so long! It’ll be cut into small pieces like this . The souvenirs are stacked as high as a mountain! This one is new, but it’s the best! This one is classic, oh, since my childhood, very, very old! Oh, it’s very windy here . The tour leader recommended these two: one melon green, one yellow, one long melon juicy, and… The sweet cantaloupe is incredibly sweet and juicy. A whole one costs about 160 lira. It’s so small, only three people are allowed. Yeah, 240 kg per person, no more than 80 kg per person. It includes… baggage!!! Hahaha, so it might only be for two people. This elevator is really small. The hotel space on the second day is quite small . The bathroom is smaller than yesterday’s, but the facilities are exactly the same . I heard the dinner is very delicious , and… this place is right next to the Aegean Sea!! The pool is over there. You can swim and see the Aegean Sea, but because it only opens until 7 pm, it’s already 7:29 pm, so I can’t swim. It gets dark around 9 pm, so it’s normal for it to still be so bright at 7:30 pm. The Aegean Sea is mainly for watching the sunset. I’ll come back after dinner. I’ve grabbed these things first. There are too many people, so it’s a bit hard to take pictures . There are too many people, it’s a bit scary. Combination: meat, beef, beef, dry vegetables , oh, this dish is so sour, the vinegar is very strong . The fish is not bad . This is food from the barbecue area. There’s also a whole fish! I heard the fries are delicious. The shell-shaped pasta, grilled beef, and seasoning were pretty good , but I thought their Turkish kebab was a bit too salty . The shell-shaped pasta was bland. The fries recommended by the tour leader were quite crispy. We switched to grilled fish, which was delicious! The fish was grilled perfectly, not dry at all. I think my fish and yours are different species; this is salmon, there’s also sweetfish and salmon, so there are two kinds of fish. The pool here is open until 7 pm, but it’s a bit chilly today, so swimming might be a bit cold . Let’s go back. I just went to get these fruits, and there are flies on them. Oh, look, look, there’s one over here ! I have some doubts about the hygiene of this place. The fruit is in season (Taiwanese). The cantaloupe is great, and the peaches are delicious—perfectly ripe and very sweet . Each table of four is served a large bottle of water, which everyone can share. Some dishes… It’s a bit too salty, and drinks are chargeable ; only water is free. Some desserts are also quite sweet. Honestly, I felt the service staff were a bit rude , seeming quite angry when clearing away plates. The shops also sell some snacks and drinks. The pricing here isn’t in US dollars, it’s in Euros, because most of the tourists here are Europeans —British, German, etc. As the tour leader just mentioned, the first two days of this itinerary were almost entirely spent on long drives, which took up a lot of time . We only started visiting sightseeing on the morning of the third day, and then drove all the way to Kusadasi in the afternoon— a total of 5 hours of driving, super far ! Tomorrow we’ll visit two major attractions: Ephesus in the morning and Pamukkale in the afternoon. Both are World Heritage Sites, which will be covered in the next episode of our Turkey group tour. That’s all for today, bye!
