It’s 15,000th place. That’s right. It was number 109 here. I couldn’t find it before, but I took a van from my accommodation and ended up dropping me off at the Phuong Trang bus terminal. It’s ridiculous. They tell me to get off because they’re all here, but it’s really funny. Everyone, it might be different in each city, but don’t take this when you come to Ho Chi Minh City, not here in Dalat, no, anywhere . They stop at every city and finally arrived in Ho Chi Minh City. What the heck? It leaves at 8 in the morning, but they tell you to wait at the hotel until 7, so they wait there, take you to the bus terminal, wait for a while, and then come back. How long did it take in total? It took 10 and a half hours. It takes 7 hours. Never take the Huta Bus to Ho Chi Minh City. The terminal is really far from the city center. They pick you up in a van there and send you downtown, but this van doesn’t come right away either. It goes around in circles. Anyway, 10 and a half hours, wow, this is too much. If I had paid 60,000 won more and bought a ticket at my accommodation, how much easier would it have been? It only took seven hours. I hate arriving in the evening when it’s dark. People don’t have time to spare. But if you come during the day when the sun is shining, you can take a leisurely walk and stuff. You can see the sights while walking. But if you arrive during the day, you can walk around the street and see the sights and walk leisurely to your accommodation. But~ I hate it when they drop you off when it’s dark like this . That’s why I usually check the bus schedule, but these guys keep saying 10 and a half hours? This is too much. I’m going now. To my accommodation, oh, it’s so complicated. I like this in big cities. I thought it was far, but I walked for a while and then passed it. It feels like I’m entering a market. Oh, both the accommodation and the location are unique. It’s nice. “Take a look around and go. Thanks for letting me pass by . Do you think it’s right? Oh, right. This is the right way. It should be on the left. Oh, is that it on the right? Oh, the location of the accommodation is also quite strange. I saw the review, but it’s not a long-term hotel. Oh, this is Saigon. Oh, I finally arrived. It’s not far from there. Put noodles, onions, green onions, and what’s that ? Put a large piece of pork in it. Two large pieces of meat. What is it? It’s good. It’s hot soup and this is on the menu called Hootyu Bo Vien Gan. The price is also reasonable. 40,000 dong. I was so hungry that I just left my luggage and left. Oh, this is really good. As expected, there’s really, really good food next to the market . It’s cheap and they always add chili oil. Oh, if I eat dinner at 6:30, I usually don’t eat anything until 8:30 the next morning. But today, I don’t know. For some reason, it’s almost 8 or 9 o’clock. And the beer is Red Horse 8%. It’s really strong. This is also a large one, 500ml. I drank this too, and they also sell kkomtam at the house right next to the hostel. So I didn’t want to eat much, so I just asked for that charcoal-grilled pork and some vegetables . I don’t know why. I’ve never eaten this late before. It’s a first in my life. It’s a strange day, and my mood is sinking. It ‘s not 8 or 9, it’s 9:32. It’s so late, and I’m eating this. Oh my gosh, I deserve to live a long life. I’ve lived a long life. I still have a long life ahead of me, but this is really delicious. It’s sweet, slightly salty, and sweet. I really like this . Looking at the food makes me feel a little energetic. Oh, the pork is well-cooked. They’re grilling it right now. This hostel is really nice. The beds are super comfortable. I booked this for work after seeing that comment, but that’s not all. If you go to a hostel that’s not very good, the bed sheets are a weird color and stuff. This place is white, clean like a hotel, and the beds are amazing . It’s the first time I’ve seen them give out towels in a hostel. They give you big ones, I’ve never seen them before. They even give you two toothbrushes and toothpaste, which is great. The lockers are well-equipped and very comfortable. It’s convenient to work on the computer here, which is great. The price is cheap, around 4,000 won, but here, it was like 7,000 won. It’s a bit expensive for a hostel. It’s worth it. It’s strange to eat that. Oh, it’s really strong, 8% ABV. My favorite beer when I come to Southeast Asia is Red Horse, but it’s expensive, so I don’t buy it often. I really like it. First of all, it’s strong, 8% ABV. Even if you drink the same amount, you get drunk really quickly. For those who like to drink, I highly recommend Red Horse. It’s even better than a cafe. I had a meal. I had a beer with my meal. It’s nighttime, and it’s winter in Vietnam, so it’s cool at night. The breeze is refreshing , so I sit and smoke a cigarette. You can do this at any restaurant, eat, drink, and smoke. Oh, this is so nice. There’s a bus stop right in front of me. There’s an airport bus there. But I wouldn’t take that. It’s expensive. It’s so much more expensive than a city bus, and it’s only a small amount in Korean currency, but the locals adapt to that. When I travel, I avoid the expensive things that foreigners charge me. It’s the same with buses. Koreans , for example, don’t take taxis or anything like that to the airport. They take city buses to the airport. I take the city bus to the airport in Ho Chi Minh City. It’s not like a limousine bus or anything like that, because those are expensive. Simple, right? Anyway, this place is so nice. Ah, eating, drinking, smoking. It’s definitely toxic. I think I got drunk on Paldo. They sell off-season authentic products, but I came to the old store . Oh, you have to take your shoes off to go in. Wait a minute. Jeans. That’s not what I want. It’s not my style. And these T-shirts. They’re all Puma. Puma. But? Puma. Puma. And this is Discovery Boss. Boss doesn’t look authentic. Judging by the logo. No , it’s a mix of authentic and non-authentic . Let’s go up. Oh, on the second floor, as you go up by 25%, it gets 30%, 40%, 50% cheaper. It’s not really my style. This women’s clothing, I don’t know much about women’s clothing. This North Face looks sophisticated, and it looks authentic. I heard they sell authentic items here, and a lot of people buy them. Some people say, “Oh, this item is not good, it ‘s not authentic.” Anyway, it’s a controversial store. I came here thinking it was authentic, but it’s so famous. First, it’s not my style . The only thing that’s laid out like this is at the entrance, and it’s like this. It’s not like I’m on a treasure hunt or anything, and I didn’t really come here with a specific goal in mind, so yeah, it’s not that great. But there’s a fitting room where you can try on tight pants . A lot of people say, “Oh, I bought a bunch of really nice authentic items,” but some say it’s crappy. But in my opinion, the style is just too old-fashioned. And for those of you who were curious after seeing it online, please refer to this. This is what the old shop looks like. Guess , judging by the logo, it’s not authentic. It’s not this shabby. This one, and the Discovery logo on the tag, too. Some people say it’s authentic because it’s marked in Korean won like this, but that doesn’t seem right to me. First, the design is wrong. I haven’t seen the real thing, so I can’t say, but people have a discerning eye. Authentic things aren’t this shabby. They’re very elaborate. I don’t know who advertised the logo over there, saying it was authentic for cheap , but I can’t tell. It didn’t even take me five minutes to look at it . The jeans, too. First, you have to like the color and style . It doesn’t matter if it’s fake, as long as it fits you perfectly. But that’s not true. People who were curious about this old shop and thought about coming in are free to come, but I don’t think the items look very trustworthy. It’s just because of the rumors. Someone said that the real thing is hidden in a corner here, and if you choose carefully, you’ll get a good deal . That’s not true. It’s not true. They’re selling cheap things cheap. Even if the owner knew it was genuine, they wouldn’t sell it at a significantly lower price . Of course. Let me show you these shoes. When you look at them, take out the insole. Insoles don’t look like this. They’re stamped and molded . They’re not like this: cut with scissors, like this. After a few wears, they’ll all wear out and disappear. So, when you buy shoes, always take out the insole. The insole is stamped to fit the mold, so it can’t be faked. Yes. They’re all fake. Don’t be fooled. Those internet rumors are all lies. I bought them knowing that. I really thought they were the real thing. Wow, I bought the real thing for a really cheap price. I have a good eye for that. I was late for lunch because I went to that useless old shop . Oh, I’m going to try the chicken, chicken legs, and noodles that come with them. It’s fried noodles, chicken , bok choy, and fried chicken, but it’s juicy. It’s okay. Chicken is delicious. Oh, I should mention something now that I remember. I installed Grab on my phone. So, when I’m traveling alone, I can just press “Motorcycle” on my phone and the fare will come up. It’s not that expensive. You can call a motorbike and it’ll come to you, and they’ll know your location, so Grab is convenient. It’s also incredibly cheap, and since it’s automatically deducted from your linked card, you don’t have to pay cash. But one important thing to keep in mind is that if you link a regular domestic card to Grab , you’ll incur currency exchange fees, which can be higher than you expect. So, always link your card to Grab, like Hana Bank’s Travel Log UnionPay card or your Toss Bank Toss card . Then, the cash will be automatically converted from your Korean Won balance , and the exchange rate is almost 100%. That’s the lowest exchange rate , so you’ll spend the least. Never link a regular card to something like Grab. You might accidentally remember it and make a mistake . There’s a bus stop right in front of the hostel. Bus number 109 is supposed to go to the airport. It’s a city bus, so it’s cheap. It should be under 15,000 dong. Don’t take the Hutabus here. I really don’t like Hutabuses. And they’re really expensive. The 109 is supposed to go there, but I wonder if it’s really there. I waited here a few years ago and it disappeared and went somewhere else. I have to check. I have to wait and see if the 109 really comes. Even if I ask, these people don’t know what they’re talking about, so it’s frustrating. I’m frustrated, and I can’t answer. Seeing it for myself is the best. I’ll sit, wait, have a cigarette, and see if it really comes. Where did it go? The sign should be that way. Am I right? It’s right, but it’s not. When I came here earlier during the day, it was still daytime. The 109 was there earlier, but the sign isn’t here anymore. 109. No. 109. Oh, look somewhere over there. This city tour bus is here too. But this is just like the buses in Busan, Korea. You get off somewhere, look around when the next bus comes, and then get back on again when the next one comes. Where is it? No. 109. I found a sign for No. 109, but I waited here for a long time a few years ago. When it didn’t come, I asked the office, but they didn’t know what it meant and couldn’t communicate. No. 109. It’s there, really. No. 109 is closed. It’s 15,000 won. Oh, right. No. 109 was here. I couldn’t find it before. And if you look here, No. 109 is that color. I’ll find it soon. Wrong bus. The other buses are blue, but they’re all Futa buses. That Pungjang company. Fudata buses. Oh, it’s annoying. I hate seeing Futa buses. Where is it ? It’s supposed to be from 5:30 to 10:15 . That’s probably about right. I asked ChatGPT online and that’s what I got. Similar. Right. Tan Son Nhat Airport is the final stop, so you can get a good night’s sleep. No, it’s close. It’s Ho Chi Minh City, but it’s not like it’s that far to the airport like Hanoi. Ah, I finally found it. Route 109. Now I can relax. This is where I like to go for walks. It’s not like I usually go for walks, but it was close to my hostel before. I often went for walks there. If you look at Google Maps, you’ll see a green area a little further north . There are a lot of old trees there, and it’s really nice. I’m lazy, so I don’t go all the way there. It’s close, so I like to come out for a walk sometimes. It’s in Ilgun, so it’s either here or near Go Park. Most people would probably stay at a hostel or hotel, so the location is great. It’s close to everything. Ben Thanh Market and other markets are also nearby. And the bus stop is at the end of this park, so there’s a bus terminal on the west end, east, west, south, north, and west. There’s also exercise equipment like waist twisters, and people here exercise a lot . They work out a lot. And if you go straight here, before the end—if you look at the map, before you get to the west, east, and east ends—there ‘s a small shopping mall, a shopping center, that goes underground. There’s food, beer, and they sell miscellaneous goods like clothes, shoes, and hats. It ‘s nice because it’s not crowded, and it’s cool inside because there’s air conditioning. And they sell beer there for cheap. And the food isn’t that expensive. Even though the air conditioning is on, it’s not that expensive compared to outside . It’s worth a look. The clothes don’t seem that expensive either. And like I said before, when you buy shoes, there are people who insist they’re authentic and sell them. If you have one, take out the insole. Some genuine insoles are completely glued in and won’t fall out, but others just fall out. Except for that, this is wrong. The insole sole is what? It’s called a mold. It’s stamped exactly into the mold. It’s shaped like this, with the middle part slightly raised, and it’s stamped like this with the mold . Non-genuine ones are just cut out. They either cut it with scissors or pressed it down with a sharp knife. So the thickness is the same from the front, back, and middle . It’s a thin piece. It’s easy to tell. You can tell 100% by looking at it. Anyone can tell. So take out the insole . Even someone with no discerning eye will immediately know, “Oh, this is a total fake.” And if you buy something with an insole like that, your feet won’t be comfortable. That’s because if you go to the market, you’ll see that insoles are sold separately, but many of them cost over 10,000 to 20,000 won . That’s how important the insole is. The insole is a big part of those shoes, and the ones that aren’t genuine aren’t made that way. That’s a very, very important tip. Always take your shoes out and check the insoles. The reason I’m saying this is because I paid the full price for genuine shoes and bought those fakes. They’re total fakes. Every time I see those shoes, I get really upset. Oh, if I had known they were fake and paid the full price for them, I wouldn’t have regretted it. But I paid the full price for these fakes, so I was like, “What a fool!” Oh, because I was so tired. I’d walked all day and was on my way to catch the bus to Lotte Department Store. It was hot, muggy , so I just got tired and bought them. It ‘s cool when you go into this shopping center. There’s a lot to eat, so it’s worth coming here. It’s a good place to cool off and people are sitting here. No one’s buying anything or eating, but they’re just sitting there. That’s great. They sell food and shoes and everything, so you don’t have to worry about people getting hurt, and the prices are all written down. It’s great for cooling off after a hot day. If you’re hungry, you can eat, have a beer, or coffee—it’s all here. So it’s easy to take your time and think about your purchase. Even if you buy the exact same counterfeit, it’s so nice to have everything displayed so clearly. You have plenty of time to look, touch, and think, so there aren’t too many people around, which is great. And since there aren’t that many customers here, the merchants know that. They don’t sell for that much more than the market outside . Plus, it’s all about marketing. This place is better than the old market. Look at that North Face Gore-Tex thing. Actually, they have real Gore-Tex stuff. It’s not like they’re just labeled . If you buy wisely, it ‘s fine. My hiking clothes would be gone if they didn’t have that outerwear, but they do. I only throw clothes away when they’re completely torn up. I can’t buy one just yet because I have to throw one away. It’s not time to throw one away. Okay, okay. There are plenty of shoes here, too. Oh, and don’t even think about whether they might be authentic. I know from going there a lot , but I should just throw that thought away and buy something cheap with that logo on it. You should buy it with that mindset. Hey, if I do this well, I might have the real thing. Do n’t even think about that. Don’t even think about it. Ah, it’s more refreshing because I come here for work. Okay, if the food was expensive, not so many people would come . That’s what people come for. This place is really good to spend at least an hour a day. Look at that stuff, there’s Japanese food, and there’s Japanese soft ice cream and soft cream. You should eat when you want to eat . It looks really delicious. It looks neat. The food. Sushi, salmon. Three pieces of that. 59,000 dong. 6,65,6,5,30,64. Is that 3,240 won? That’s not bad. Just tuna for one person. Considering Korean prices, this is not bad either. 60,000 dong for salmon. What kind of fish is that? This is also 79,000 won, 80,000 won. I love it because I can eat everything here instead of going all over the place in the neighborhood, kimbap, sushi, and eel . It’s a little pricey, but the air conditioning is blasting, so I can eat leisurely . And the food is clean. And there’s also the issue of hygiene. And regarding hygiene, remember that temperature is between 5 and 60 degrees. Bacteria start to multiply exponentially at 5 to 60 degrees. So for cold food, the refrigerator isn’t set at 4 degrees. The freezer is below -18 degrees, so it’s set at 4 degrees. That ‘s because bacteria multiply at 5 degrees. And for hot food, what’s that halogen light? It’s turned on like this . Is it halogen? Yes. It’s a halogen light . It’s put in a showcase. Hot halogen. The reason for that is to maintain a temperature above 60 degrees Celsius. So, warm food should be kept above 60 degrees Celsius, and cold food should be kept below 4 degrees Celsius. So , don’t leave food outside for long periods in the summer. Bacteria multiply exponentially, so while adults might be fine, kids are at a high risk of getting gastroenteritis. Oh, now that we’re done, let’s go out. There’s a place where you can have a beer, and if you drink two, you get an extra . It’s daytime, so why is it closed? There are people playing billiards at the billiards club. Oh, and there’s a fitness club. Okay, let’s go out. It’ll be hot again when we go out. Oh, it’s hot, so let’s go out. This is the park marked in green. Beneath that road is the southern road. You see the Phong Trang bus office? There’s another travel agency next to it, and then there’s another travel agency lined up next to that . So, you can buy bus tickets. There are day trip buses, local buses, and everything. Saigon is Saigon, Ho Chi Minh is Saigon. There are also travel agencies that go to Saigon and Nha Trang, Nha Trang and Nam Hai. Where is that from Saigon to Phan Thiet? There ‘s also a travel agency that goes to Mui Ne. There are bus companies all over the place. They’re all lined up, so when you come here, you can compare prices and see where you’re going. It’s great. You don’t have to look for them scattered all over the city . It’s right there on the entire Ai Street. If you look right there on the southern road, near the long, green area marked , there are travel agencies lined up. It’s the entire street. When you buy a tour package or a bus, come here. It’s all here, so you can go wherever you want. It’s great. Yes. Today, I came to eat the combination of com tam rice and this . They mix and match various ingredients. Mr. Lee, they don’t use chopsticks here. No. It’s a combo, so they put in pork and an egg, and this one has mussels in it, and it’s like a fried egg , and this and this. Here, I go in and get a full 15,000 dong. 55,000 dong. Ah, I can’t live without this. When I eat rice, I always put this in. It’s sweet, slightly salty, and sweet . Ah, it has a unique taste. Ah, it would be convenient if I had chopsticks, but there are no chopsticks here . I can’t ask for some. Oh, is it inconvenient to eat like this? This pork needs to be well-seasoned, not just grilled. Before grilling, I saw that they piled the meat in this container, and next to it was a cloudy white liquid. Looking at it, it looks like they put a lot of ground onions and garlic in it. And there are other spices, so it’s really delicious. What I’m talking about now has nothing to do with traveling, but if you’re filming and editing videos, this is something that would be good to know. The electrical cycle is different in each country. So, if you look at the alternating current periodically, the waveform changes. Our country is 220V, 60Hz, and it’s 60 cycles. Vietnam is 50 cycles. Australia is 50 cycles, and the US is probably 50 cycles. If it’s 60 cycles, you have to film in 4K 25. If you film in 4K 25 frames per second, the fluorescent lights that flicker won’t show up on the screen. That’s why it’s smooth. But if it’s 50 cycles and you set it to 4K 30, you’ll see the fluorescent lights flickering. The screen will flicker. So you have to set the frame rate to half that cycle . So Vietnam has a 50 cycle, so you have to set it to 4K 25. Half of 50. 4K 25 fps. And at 25 frames, you have to set the shutter speed to 1/50. The shutter speed is double . So in Korea, where it’s 60 cycles, you have to set it to 4K 30, half of 60, and set the shutter speed to 1/60. That’s the only way to get a proper screen. No flickering. And for the people who shoot and edit the video, keep this in mind. The flickering in the photo is because the frames per second aren’t right . I was standing here looking at the map, and the motorcyclist asked, “Where are you going?” I said I was going to Walking Street, and he said it was over there. It only costs $1. Crazy guy. He must think I’m lost. It’s right here. I checked the map to see if this is the way here and came here to scam my child. If it’s one dollar, that’s one dollar here. Oh my, where is one dollar? It’s over 20,000 dong. No, it’s 40,000 dong. 20,000 dong. Oh, 20,000 dong. It’s over 20,000 dong. Bad guy . This is Walking Street. The old couple is cool. You. I can’t hear a thing. But Westerners sometimes see elderly couples as couples, so why don’t Koreans see elderly couples? Me too, right ? It ‘s still early. In another hour, this place will be completely overrun. They’re competing with each other, like, “Buy one, get one free .” They’re giving you two for the price of one. It’s really fierce competition just to attract customers. Ah, it’s a little quieter now. Ah, is this place a food place? It’s mostly for eating, so it’s quiet. Yes , they drink, but since it ‘s more for eating than drinking, the music isn’t that loud. Ah, I had something to say, but I forgot. It’s so noisy. What’s going on here? Is it Halloween? People’s feet are hanging out, their hands are hanging out. What the heck, why are they hanging their hands and feet all over the place? It’s not a butcher shop, is it? There are a lot of pretty girls. There are a lot of pretty girls . Ah, there’s a sign right here . No vehicle traffic from here. It’s clearly marked right here. That Walking Street ends. There’s still a lot to see here. Here, you talk, drink, and chat, but there, there ‘s no need to talk, and you can’t. It’s so noisy that you just eat, and when you see someone giggling, you laugh along because it feels good. So, you shouldn’t frown when you go in there. You always have to smile. That way, they’ll know you like them. That hat is also strangely shaped. It must be Qing Dynasty clothing. All these stores are decorated uniquely. If you see it, you’ll think, “Ah, I ‘ll never forget this store.” Each store is so different. I once looked around Walking Street. Oh, it makes me laugh just thinking about that kid. It’s right in front of you, but he’s right next to me. If he asks for a dollar, he’ll say, “200,000 dong is too little.” Bad magnet. This is seafood .
