This features clips from our 7 day summer bike tour from Kanazawa to Matsumoto and back – specifically from the day when we rode along a 7.5 kilometer section of the Nakasendo (中山道). This part from Magome to Tsumago-juku is one of the best preserved and most famous sections of the Nakasendo!

i looove japan and i looove cycling. i wouldnt however ride the nakasendo as i think it we break the tranquility of the walk for others – a plus though is having a bear bell permanently at ur disposal 🙂
Can you cycle the whole route with a road bike? Or is some of it so rough that you need a mountain bike?
