This time we mostly stayed at the L7 hotel in Haeundae. When I was doing my research before leaving, I realized that many of Busan’s so-called hotels look like shared apartments. There might be no access control, with several different hotels sharing the same building, or the decor in some rooms has been modified to look uncomfortable and strange. So, in the end, we chose big-name hotels. Haeundae is very lively, and the main street is very similar to Hongdae Street in Seoul. There are restaurants on both sides, so there’s no need to worry about running out of food even late at night. The nearest MRT station is about 500 meters away, and the sidewalks are very spacious, so it’s not too tiring to walk to the hotel. The MRT is similar to Seoul, just a little less crowded. Most places are accessible, or you can just take an Uber. I don’t know if it’s because Busan’s roads are poorly designed, or if Busan drivers have particularly rough control over the train’s brakes. It’s easy to get carsick when taking a taxi in Busan. Is it my fault? Let ‘s have our first meal in Busan at Old The Mansion is located in an old wooden house on the west side. They use a machine for ordering food, allowing you to choose from various languages. After ordering, you can pay directly with your credit card. It’s super convenient and perfect for those who don’t speak Korean or don’t want to interact with others. Their meat is grilled before being served. In addition to the set menu, we also ordered aged pork neck. Korean pork is amazing; it doesn’t have any fishy smell , even the fat doesn’t have a greasy odor. It even has a caramelized aroma similar to American beef. After eating at the Old Mansion, we passed by the pork soup rice street. It was so delicious that we couldn’t resist stopping in to try it. Koreans at Sooyoung Honjo all add rice directly to the meal. I just decided whether I was hungry that day or not. Oasis Roasters is a coffee shop in Gwangalli that’s quite popular with locals. I first learned about it from a Korean YouTuber’s video. The shop is quite spacious, with not too many seats, and it’s a very comfortable environment. The desserts here are also very famous. However, we didn’t eat today, so we just had coffee . After that, we walked down the slope towards the beach. Zhenwei Sashimi is right on the road next to Gwangalli Beach. The shop’s decoration is very bright and clean. This is a restaurant that sells flounder sashimi. Korean sashimi is different from Japanese sashimi. It is served at room temperature and dipped in a red spicy dipping sauce. It is eaten like barbecue with side dishes or wrapped in lettuce. We ordered an extra portion of soybean flour sashimi mixed with rice and seaweed and lettuce. It was very refreshing and felt like a hand roll. You can’t finish a whole portion of sashimi by yourself . What’s amazing about ordering this is the spicy fish soup that comes with it. It’s a bit like bouillabaisse and is delicious. It’s made with the leftover fish scraps from shaving sashimi , but be careful because there are a lot of bones. Be mindful of the red tteokbokki ( rice cakes). Busan’s tteokbokki are more reddish in color, so it ‘s a popular place. Many Korean YouTubers frequent this place, so there’s a long line . The colors are vibrant, but not very spicy. However, it’s a bit out of the way and not very easy to get to. If you’ve seen the Seoul shopping guide for men, then this is the Busan shopping guide for men. If you only have half a day to shop, then head straight to Shinsegae Department Store. Most Korean fashion brands are available here, basically meeting most people’s shopping needs. This huge building also houses the works that I always visit when I’m in Hyundai Seoul. As for sneakers, there are no footlockers in Busan , so you can buy some here without having to go out to look for them. There are also some street shops clustered around Jeonpo Coffee Street. The most famous one here is Bracket Table. The entire shop, from the decor to the merchandise, has a country-style feel. The items are all kitchen utensils and tableware, and the prices are reasonable, but the items aren’t as unique. I’ve seen some in Taiwan, but if you’re particular about tableware, it doesn’t matter if you come or not. It’s more about experiencing the vibe it creates. Luft Mansion is also a shop that many people recommend. This is a clothing store that also sells some of its own brands. There are two floors, and the second floor also sells some vintage items, but I don’t know if it’s because of the changing seasons, so there aren’t many things in the store, so it feels a bit empty . Strut Coffee is located in front of Jeonpo Coffee Street, a steep uphill slope. This 1960s villa with a small courtyard is the only Korean representative of the 2025 World’s Top 100 Coffee Shops . There aren’t many seats , but the shop is always crowded with customers, chatting and drinking coffee in the small space. The atmosphere is quite good. On our way to our next stop, Balansa, we stumbled upon Kasina. Kasina is also a sneaker and fashion brand selection store with branches in Seongsu-dong and Hannam-dong in Seoul. It is a bit like Korea’s KITH and is quite fun to visit. Balansa is also a brand from Busan. Japanese people like its simple and eye-catching logo design. It often collaborates with Japanese brands. It is not far from the coffee street. The store is packed with small items, which all look like collaborative styles. They may have made some leftovers and sold them in the store. We came to the main store of Lee Jae-mo Pizza. It is no exaggeration to say that in this small block, there are his No. 1 and No. 2 stores, a takeout store , and even a store for customers who have taken numbers to wait and rest. In addition, there are actually quite a lot of things to visit nearby , so the wait is not too tiring. Finally, it was our turn to go in. The interior decoration of the store still maintains the style of a pizza house in the 1990s , but this store is very large and has many employees. Robots are used to deliver the food. We ordered two pizzas, one is the most classic flavor, and the other is just one we liked. We also paid extra for his pizza dipping sauce. As for whether it tastes good, of course it is. The crust and ingredients are great , a bit like an enhanced Pizza Hut. If I were a local and wanted to eat pizza, I would prioritize Lee Jae-mo. But if I had flown in specifically, I would probably save my stomach for barbecue or traditional Korean beef. Gwangalli Grilled Sausage is the best grilled sausage I have ever eaten. The whole store is filled with fragrance from the outside. When ordering, you must order at least 3 offal items, including small intestines, large intestines, and tripe. The intestines look like they have been blanched first, and the waiter will grill them for you. The offal used is taken from real Korean beef. The small intestines are powdered and taste dry and powdery, and the inside of the large intestines is full of fat . It is grilled and has a caramel aroma. This is a must-order. We ordered 3. If you like to have fried rice and noodles at the end, you have to order a beef offal pot first. The best pork soup rice by the water is open 24 hours a day. Even if you come at 11 or 12 in the middle of the night, there is still a line. The one we visited is the main store, which is really by the water , next to the sea. I tried 4 different pork soup rices in the past few days. I think the main branch at Subian is the best. Besides the fragrant broth without any porky smell, the pork and blood sausage inside are also very fresh, and of course, there’s no fishy smell. It can also be helpful for relieving gastrointestinal discomfort or GERD if you’ve been drinking too much or eating too much strong food. The next day at noon, we continued riding our bikes to eat. The restaurant we rode to offers either mileage or time-based billing. It’s quite convenient to register without a Korean phone. This huge, modern building is the new branch of the famous Haeundae Beef Ribs. You need to register first. After becoming a table member, we made a reservation at the machine and waited for about an hour before being taken to our seats. Three types of meat are available here , and we ordered two of each. Then, the professional uncle and auntie came to help us grill the meat. The Korean beef here is marinated and seasoned, and the taste is sweet, a bit like the common copper plate barbecue in Taiwan , combined with the aroma of Korean beef itself, it is really delicious when paired with lettuce. At the end of the grilling, the auntie even gave you a grilled beef bone for you to chew on. The capsule train is a very famous tourist attraction in Busan. It is recommended to book in advance, otherwise it will be difficult to buy a ticket. We only bought a single trip. We took the train in the evening, so we took it towards the city center. This way, the sea and the sunset would be in front of you on the left , making for more beautiful photos. The single trip takes about 30 minutes. It may be evening , so the carriage is not hot and the speed is not fast. It may be a bit boring, but it is not bad for relaxing and taking a break. After getting off the train, we walked back to the hotel along the coastline. This is the advantage of staying in Haeundae. The downhill slope leading to the beach is very similar to Redondo, California. If you ask me what my favorite thing about Busan is, it would be its sandy beaches. The coast is right next to the city. You can eat, go shopping, go to bars, and experience city life in the city. When you want to relax , you can quickly reach the beach. 60 Fried Chicken is said to fry only 60 chickens a day , hence the name 60 Fried Chicken. Many people know it because BTS’s Jungkook ate it during a live broadcast. We ordered the most famous CCC fried chicken. It tastes a bit sweet and a bit like cereal shrimp. As a blood sausage lover, you really can’t miss this shop. I heard about it from Miss Dandan. It ‘s hidden in an alley in Nampodong. The most special thing here is that it has blood sausage wrapped in large intestine. It tastes very smooth. The thin large intestine is very crispy and adds some fat aroma. There is also a blood sausage and beef large intestine pot full of beef intestine. Although I think the blood sausage here has almost no blood smell , those who are still afraid can try this pot . The smell completely covers most of the flavors. Corduroy Fellaz is hidden in a dark alley, at a discreet entrance. If you enjoy a relaxing drink in Busan, don’t miss it. The atmosphere is relaxed , the owner is friendly, and the atmosphere is comfortable. The simple cocktails are made with ingredients sourced from local or nearby produce. This bar-to-farm concept has become popular in recent years . This is the fourth time I’ve had pork soup rice at Miryang’s in the past few days . It’s located inside the Bupyeong Canned Food Market, which is quite similar to the Mangwon Market in Seoul . Miryang’s is light in flavor, but it has chili peppers, making it quite spicy . If you don’t like spicy food, remember to pick it out first . Also inside the canned food market is Milgot Bakery, which is said to be a favorite of New Jeans. As a bunny, I couldn’t miss it. It was surprisingly delicious. The fragrance of soybean powder and mugwort, paired with cream and red bean paste, creates a rich texture. It’s well worth the trip . The moment is located at the entrance of the White Shoal Cultural Village. The exterior is a little different from what is shown in the photos or videos. As an iconic internet celebrity shop, the shop was full of people who wanted to take photos. There is also a seating area on the second floor for taking photos. I don’t recommend coming here on weekends. The scenery of the White Shoal Cultural Village is actually nice, but it is too hot. It may be built into a tourist check-in spot. The things sold in the shop are similar to those in Taiwan’s old streets. If you don’t like this style, you can just avoid it. Don’t worry, p.ark is a super large landscape cafe on Yeongdo Island. It takes about ten minutes to get there by car from the White Shoal Cultural Village. It is very large, probably several hundred square meters. Because it is the weekend, it feels like a place where locals walk their children. You may have to wait for a while to sit in a position where you can see the sea. However, there are too many people, so you may not feel too relaxed.
