Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Gero Shinkan Hello! This is Hozuki. This time’s travelogue is a trip to Gifu and Gero Onsen (1 night and 2 days)! This time, we will introduce “Premium Gero Shinkan” from the Oedo Onsen Monogatari group! Gero City, Gifu Prefecture, where Premium Gero Shinkan is located, is about 4 hours by car from Osaka. By train, JR Gero Station is the closest station, and there is a free bus shuttle from there! (About 10 minutes) At Oedo Onsen Monogatari’s Premium series inn, you can use the premium lounge that includes alcohol! You can also enjoy the magnificent view of Minami Hida from your room, and the buffet starts with fine crabs and roast beef, as well as local dishes such as sukiyaki made with Hoha miso and Hatcho miso! Breakfast is also very satisfying with the famous Nokkedon and Gifu’s famous chicken! The quality of the hot springs that I specially photographed was the best, and the hot water and magnificent scenery of Gero Onsen were the best! This time I used a coupon and was able to stay for about 13,000 yen per person! As of December 23, you can still stay at the same price! This time, I would like to tell you about Oedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Gero Shinkan and the charms of Gero Onsen, Gifu Prefecture. Thank you for your continued support this time! This time, Gero is forecast to be cloudy and rainy. It’s sunny! First, take the Meishin Expressway and head towards Nagoya! Lots of clouds. . . Next, take the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway towards Gifu! Let’s have lunch soon! Let’s stop by Kawashima Highway Oasis! I just started, Kawashima Highway Oasis is so spacious! Oda-san and Akechi-san are on good terms! Let’s try Kawashima tanmen with extra vegetables! Kawashima Tanmen Tanmen with extra vegetables is apparently a Gifu specialty! looks delicious! Crunchy and delicious with plenty of vegetables! A light salt soup stock that brings out the sweetness of the vegetables. Yummy! The spicy sauce is very spicy but delicious! It was a very satisfying lunch! While watching the Ferris wheel, we departed for Gifu again! From the Tokai-Hokuriku Expressway, take the Tokai Loop Road and get off at the Tomikaseki Interchange! From here onwards, it’s a general road (Route 58). Let’s go relax! The scenery in Gifu is amazing! The mountains are approaching. I saw the signboard for Gero Onsen! And finally we arrived at Premium Gero Shinkan! This is my first stay at Oedo Onsen Monogatari’s Premium series! The building is also quite large! The premium claim is amazing lol Now let’s head to check-in! Yukata near the front desk. More green. There were also amenities (toothbrush, ladies set). Automatic vacuum cleaners are so cute. It’s a premium lounge! Drinks include Shirakawa tea, grape & berry mix juice, and apple juice! We also have beer, chuhai, and highballs! There is also a coffee machine, making it a fully equipped lounge! We also have herbal tea and black tea, and you can eat as much ice cream as you want! amazing! The lounge is open from 7am to 10am and from 2pm to 10pm! The lounge has a gorgeous feel and is very spacious, so you can take a break while looking at the mountains of Hida! There is also a shuttle service to Gero Station! Let’s go later! Let’s have a beer right away! LOL Well then… Cheers . Beer in the afternoon is the best! Spectacular views of Hida and beer. I’m glad you came! Next, explore the shops. There seem to be many types. Specialty Hida beef, chestnut sweets, and Hida Sarubobo sweets. There was also plenty of Takayama ramen and Hida local sake! Now let’s go to the room! This time it was a room on the 8th floor! Walk through the bright hallway… then enter the room! The key is an old-fashioned type. Japanese-Western style room (6 tatami mats) (high floor) spacious and beautiful! Having a Japanese-style room is convenient! I like to sleep in bed and relax in a Japanese-style room. The table is spacious and the TV is also large! Above all, this space is wonderful. Perfect for drinking in your room! The view from the room is… a panoramic view of the mountains of Hida and the city of Gero! I’ll take this opportunity to go out to the balcony. Oh… It’s nice to have a railway bridge too! You can also see the hot spring town of Gero, which is great! The room again. There was a belt and a towel in the drawer. Here are teacups, cups, and ice buckets. The fridge was a normal size! Found a pot, additional teacups, and tea! There is also an air purifier in the Japanese-style room. There are coats and slippers in the closet. wide. Next is the water area. The toilet is separate. Comes with a washlet. The wash basin is also quite spacious! There were installed and regular dryers! The bathroom is also spacious enough. There is also a hot spring! The scenery is amazing! It looks like it’s going to rain, so hurry up and go sightseeing! Then, let’s set out to explore the facility and explore Gero Onsen Town! As it is called premium, the interior is gorgeous. There is a pool in the manga corner, table tennis corner, and game corner. The game corner was mainly crane games! It’s great that there are so many manga! There is also a sofa! Speaking of hot springs, you can also enjoy table tennis! There’s even a pool! (Open only in summer) There was also relaxation! It’s time to head to the hot spring town. It looks like it’s going to rain, so I’ll borrow your umbrella. The shuttle car has arrived! thank you! Yes. It’s raining a little… Arrived at Gero Station! To Gero Onsen town. Go through the underground passage to Gero Onsen Town! Passing by the Gero Ohashi Bridge over the Hida River, there are wonderful willow trees typical of a hot spring town! Gero Onsen has arrived! The vomiting manhole cover is also nice. White egret. The lantern at Kaeru Shrine is a frog. cute. There is also Gero Pudding, a famous store in Gero! Charming and cute. What sweets should I have today? For now, I’ll take a footbath and think about it! My partner is taking a bath! It seems like it was hot lol I like the atmosphere of Gero Onsen! This hot water wasn’t very hot lol Here’s today’s sweetness! It’s Jintaro! I heard that the Mont Blanc (¥680) here is delicious! Finally, visit the birthplace of Gero Onsen and head back to your hotel. Finally, we went to the big beckoning cat souvenir shop! Chikawa-san discovered “Sarubobo” and “Gassho-zukuri”! I bought Hida White Light Ale (¥650) for dinner! It was raining heavily when I got on the shuttle bus! I made it just in time! When we returned to the hotel, we had a drink in the lounge, took a short break, and then headed to the long-awaited hot spring! Take the elevator to the second basement floor. There is a large public bath here! I was able to take a special photo this time! The view from the changing room is magnificent and the best! When you enter the public bath, the first thing you see is an indoor bath! There is a low-temperature bath and a high-temperature bath, and the view is amazing! The washing area is also spacious. The shower head comes with a mist! It felt great to be refreshed with nano bubbles! The spring quality is simple alkaline hot spring, and the bath is slightly slippery. The hot springs at Gero Onsen, also known as “beauty baths,” are the best! Next, go to the open-air bath! When you go down the stairs… there is an open-air rock bath! You can feel the nature of Hida while taking a bath! It was wonderful to take a bath while looking at the iron bridge! After taking a little break in my room… It’s dinner! This time I was able to take a special photo shoot! This is an alcohol bar. The staff is ready and ready! First of all, naan! And if there is naan… that’s right, it’s curry! Chicken curry. looks delicious. Next was flounder with seafood yuba sauce. looks delicious. Next was stir-fried eggplant meat with miso. This is shrimp with chili sauce. Looks delicious with eggs! We also have sashimi konjac, edamame, and candied sweetfish! The rice is Koshihikari rice from the Hida area. It’s hot and freshly cooked! There were also new scents! And along with the freshly steamed shumai, there’s also the steaming steamed egg custard. Of course, miso soup is also available! Even soba noodles. This is also good! It seems that you can also make wild vegetable soba. good! And amazing crab! This thickness is amazing! And Hida’s famous corner. Delicious Hida fried food and pickled steak, a local Hida dish. It’s a combination of pickled Chinese cabbage and eggs! And this is cream pasta with seasonal mushrooms and sweet potato tempura. We also had maitake mushroom tempura and shrimp tempura! And pizza with thickly cut roast beef and seafood! And then we saw the crab again from a different angle.Next was the fried food section. Hida beef croquettes, fried shrimp, and fried chicken! The hot corner has meat sauce doria and fries. It’s large! Lots of seasonings such as tomato ketchup and Hida sauce! And this is chicken sukiyaki made with Hatcho miso. Grilled salmon and mushrooms with magnolia miso cooked at your seat. They even have stone-baked sweet potatoes! And the seafood corner. First, we had the egg sushi and then the tuna sushi. I’m so excited lol We also have vanilla and pistachio soft serve ice cream! Drinks were also plentiful! The staff are working efficiently and I’m looking forward to it! The view from the seat was also very nice! After a short break in your room, it’s time for the long-awaited dinner! Huh hew! Dinner was very popular! great person. I was able to get a seat by the window! First of all, I headed straight for the crab lol, then had the chicken sukiyaki with Hatcho miso, the salmon sashimi, the famous fried chicken, and the pickled steak. We also had shrimp chili and roast beef! Hozuki’s Choice – Crab, Steak, Gifu Specialties and Beer – First and foremost, it’s the crab! The thickness is incredible! And roast beef. Beautiful rosé-colored meat… Miso is the specialty of the Tokai region! Hatcho miso sukiyaki. The seafood looks pretty shiny and delicious! And flounder with shrimp chili. Premium feel. Furthermore, Gifu’s famous pickled steak and fried rice! This time, since I made a reservation 60 days in advance, I got free all-you-can-drink! yay. (Depends on the plan) Let’s eat! Well then… cheers beer and delicious food, I can’t get enough of it! First of all, pickled steak and veggie first. Chinese cabbage is delicious! Next up is chicken. The miso is rich and delicious! Fried rice with grated ponzu sauce. I really like this! Refreshing! The meat is perfectly grilled and has a lean flavor! It may sound like a cliché, but the shrimp are plump and the eggs are fluffy! The best! The flounder is also fluffy and has a gentle taste! We put soy sauce on the sushi… squid! Easy to eat with a hidden knife! shrimp! This also has good flavor! And tuna. This is so curvy and delicious! Salmon is also really good! Oh, I’m happy. . . And time to face the crabs. Let’s eat! Ah! I can’t get my body to work out… Pien’s second challenge! …What a shame! I decided to give up and use scissors lol, so I finished it! High quality all-you-can-eat! Of course I’ll go for a second helping! Next was shrimp avocado salad… tomato mozzarella. We also had salmon and mushroom grilled with hoba miso, delicious tuna, and tempura! We had stir-fried eggplant meat with miso and Hida beef croquette! Hozuki’s Choice – Grilled Hoba miso, tempura, and salad! ~ First, grilled salmon and mushrooms with hoba miso. fun. I also like tempura with maitake mushrooms and shrimp! Shrimp and avocado salad with tomato mozzarella! Absolutely delicious! And Hida beef croquettes with Hida sauce. The stir-fried doria and eggplant miso that I secretly took also looks delicious! Now, let’s move on to the second round! First, let’s light the hoba miso grill! Shrimp avocado is a great combination! Soft and sticky! The combination of mozzarella and tomatoes is also great! Yummy! Hida beef croquettes have the best flavor! The sauce also has a strong vegetable flavor! The maitake mushroom tempura is crispy and has the best mushroom flavor, and the shrimp are plump, thick, and of course delicious! Take a breather with stir-fried eggplant miso. I like this too. Doria also has a perfect combination of cheese flavor and meat sauce! So the second round is over! A little more hoba miso. Now let’s move on to the third round! LOL For the third round, I had seafood pizza, candied sweetfish, naan, and of course I had chicken curry, Hida pork steamed in a bamboo steamer with bagna cauda, delicious fried rice, and of course I had crab! Sho Hozuki’s Choice – The result of taking everything I wanted to eat – Chicken curry first and naan of course! And the candied sweetfish that looks so delicious! Furthermore, bamboo steamer and pizza! Let’s move on to the third round! (Beer added lol) First, the pizza! Seafood is delicious! Steamed vegetables and bagna cauda sauce go great together! You can also eat sweetfish with the bones! This is delicious! oh. The hoba miso was grilled nicely! The combination of salmon and miso is amazing! Yummy! Chicken curry, huge amount of chicken! Eating it with naan makes me feel like India! It took an amazing amount of time to loosen up the crab, so I won the third round too! Lol Finally, I would like to go! Hozuki’s Choice – Mainly edible wild vegetable soba and ice cream – Start with warm wild vegetable soba… pistachio soft serve ice cream! Furthermore, there’s the Shukuna pumpkin pudding, and of course Haagen-Dazs! We will have 2 types! I would like to finish it like this! First up is wild vegetable soba. The wild vegetables are delicious and the soba noodles are comforting. I also got some roasted sweet potatoes. Steamy and delicious! After taking a little break in the room and enjoying Gero Onsen… I’ll go to the lounge again! There is an irori hearth, which is warm and has a great atmosphere! You can also enjoy a beer after taking a bath here! Now it’s time for the usual room drinking time! Huh hew! First, pour some Hida white beer… then… Cheers ! A beer made with a little rice! It’s refreshing! Apparently it’s made from Shirakawa-go rice, and it’s truly a local beer! Next up is Jintaro’s Mont Blanc (¥680)! Chestnuts are so delicious it’s crazy! There is also a large chestnut inside, so I highly recommend it! So I ate a lot today too! was delicious! Lastly, be considerate of your stomach and intestines and sleep well! LOL Well then, this is the last toast for today! Today was also a really fun and delicious day. Good night then! good morning! Today’s weather is… a little cloudy! But the mountains of Okuhida are wonderful! After enjoying the morning bath… it’s time for breakfast! Huh hew! Free seating in the morning too! Let’s eat healthy! And this is Hida milk! I’ll take this opportunity to get it! looks delicious. Next is the fruit and salad corner. I will actively eat salad in the morning! Add some toppings and make it with tomato dressing! This is meat bun, corn soup, and miso soup. Next is Okramoloheiya. Looks really good for your body. Next is hijiki. Makes me want to eat it in the morning. Next is Kinpira Burdock with Japanese Pepper Shiitake Shigure. This is Komatsuna Namul. This is also good! Ah, the local dish, chicken! yay. It’s chicken stir-fried with miso, and I love it! Next was pasta with meat sauce, followed by sausage, a standard Western dish. And it was scrambled eggs! In the hot corner, there is Chikuzenni and koroimo (small potatoes: a specialty of Gifu). Fried foods include fries, croquettes, and chicken nuggets. And thick fried eggs and fish cakes. After eating rice, we will have Oedo Onsen’s specialty… Seafood Nokkedon! Topped with green onion tuna, small pieces of squid, and mentaiko! I also took Tororo for a ride! Lol and finally the hot spring eggs. It’s already perfect. Takayama ramen! Let’s eat it later. In the end, I mistakenly decided to use grapefruit juice instead of apple cider vinegar, so I chose Hozuki’s choice – A balanced breakfast with vegetables, chicken, and nokke-don – Let’s start with the salad! There was also Romanesco! The Nokke-don was a bit too much… and the Okura Morokheiya Mozuku Vinegar! And hijiki and komatsuna namul. health. And the famous chicken and fish cake! Hida milk is also good! I would like to enjoy breakfast like this! First of all, veggie first. The tomato dressing is delicious! Mozuku vinegar is also refreshing and delicious! and Okramoloheiya. Sweet fish cakes, perfect for the morning, with a hearty taste. Then add soy sauce to the nokke bowl… it’s delicious! I’m satisfied from the morning! It also goes great with miso soup! Take a break with Hida milk. Thick and delicious! Then, add hot spring eggs to the Nokkedon! The creamy eggs are irresistible! It was a very delicious Nokkedon! So it’s a complete meal! Well then, I would like to move on to the next one! First, I had the thick fried egg, followed by Kinpira burdock. I also received soy milk and tofu, and the chicken was refilled! Serve the 2nd bowl of rice topped with the sauce from the rice bowl! We will also have pancakes with honey! Finally, boil the ramen! fun! I really like Takayama ramen! Enjoy the toppings too! Hozuki’s Choice – Takayama Ramen, Nokkedon and Dessert (I ate too much) – Takayama Ramen first! THE, soy sauce ramen! Then, the dashimaki egg… delicious chicken and tofu, and the nokkedon again! For dessert, the main dish is honey pancakes! I would like to finish it like this! Thick fried eggs are fluffy and delicious! Get dietary fiber with Kinpira! The soy milk tofu had a gentle taste! Takayama ramen comes with quail! This was delicious! The Baumkuchen was delicious, but the pancakes with honey on top were exquisite! I received a lot from this morning too! I ate all of Premium Gero Shinkan! Thanks for the meal! Enjoy the scenery from the balcony one last time! It was an inn with a very nice view! Well then, it’s time to leave! Premium Gero Shinkan was a very nice inn! The price is over 13,000 yen per person using a coupon! Considering the points, I was able to stay for just under 13,000 yen per person, including all-you-can-drink! We recommend this delicious inn that is convenient for sightseeing! Premium Gero Shinkan has a wonderful view and is conveniently located for sightseeing in Gero Onsen Town. The hot springs are also the best views and you can enjoy Gero’s hot springs, one of Japan’s top three hot springs!
