横浜 瀬谷 妙光寺と牢場坂 祈りの道を歩く｜Japan Kanagawa 4K Walking Tour 2025

Although not pictured, there is a temple bell made in the Kamakura period that is an important cultural property of Kanagawa Prefecture. Walking up Prison Hill. This slope was where the prison of Yamada Tsunemitsu, the lord of Fukami Castle, was located. It seems to have been built around 1450 during the Muromachi period. It wasn’t until the Edo period that common people began to build proper graves in temples and other places. Before that, they were buried in communal cemeteries near the villages. I guess that’s why it’s such an out-of-the-way place. There seems to be a grave or historical site at the top of the stairs. There is a stupa on the side of the road. It’s a burial site. You can see the white wall. This is the former Kamiseya Communications Facility. The former Japanese military base has been occupied and returned to the US military. I think it’s currently under construction as the venue for the Flower Expo. Land prices around here are also on the rise. Looking at the aerial map, it’s just a vast expanse of fields, even though it’s Yokohama. If there were no US military base, this area would have been developed into a residential area. The land is in a state of Urashima Taro. I can’t see inside. It must be a grassland. The god of victory. It’s hard to prove any benefits, so it’s a lie. We have arrived at Wakamiya Hachiman Shrine in Seya, Sagami. This temple was also built around 1558. Were the carpenters in this area only building temples and shrines at that time? Apparently they moved to this location due to construction work on the Tomei Expressway. Apparently it was originally located near a pachinko parlor. Good luck with money and winnings. 瀬谷の道を歩くと、土地に積み重なった時の層が静かに広がっていた。足を進める先に現れた妙光寺は、創建から千四百年近い歴史を抱え、1282年には日蓮が宿泊したという。境内には牛や馬、そして豚を供養する碑が並び、人と共に生きた命への思いが息づいていた。さらに道は牢場坂へ続く。室町の頃、深見城主が設けた牢場の跡がその名を残し、道脇の五輪塔は村人の記憶を静かに守っている。白い壁が遠くに見えると旧上瀬谷通信施設が現れた。軍事施設から米軍基地、そして返還を経た広大な土地は、今も草地のように横たわり、花博の準備が新しい息吹を感じさせる。やがて相州瀬谷 若宮八幡宮にたどり着くと、勝運と金運を祈る声が社に重なり、時代を越えて響いていた。歩くたび、祈りと記憶が町全体に溶け込み、瀬谷という場所が持つ深い力を肌で感じる。映像を通して、その空気を一緒に味わってほしい。
