How are you all? Welcome to the Nabe Travel Channel. This time, I’m going to visit Oedo Onsen Monogatari Ito Hotel New Okabe, located in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture. This hotel was just reopened last month on July 11, 2025. What kind of hotel is it? I’m looking forward to it. So, let’s take a look together. Don’t forget to subscribe to the channel and rate it highly. Check-in went smoothly, so let’s get started with the room tour. This time, it’s room 518. Let’s open the door . When you enter, the entrance and the room are separate. This is your room. What kind of room is it? It’s a renovated Japanese-style room . It’s a modern Japanese-style bedroom. 。 English : It’s very clean. Now, this room has a twin bed and another sofa bed, so it can accommodate up to three people. I wonder what the view will be like when you open the curtains here. The view from the room is like this. Mountains and a private home. It’s not like you can see the ocean from here, the ocean is over there. This is the closet . It’s used to store towels, hangers, and luggage. There are futons here. It’s been renovated, but the layout is still the same as before, so it’s a little awkward. These are bedding for the sofa bed. It’s nice that there is an outlet and USB portal next to the bed. You can charge your phone while you sleep, so I think it’s great. The indirect lighting creates a nice atmosphere . It looks like it would be great as the sun goes down at night. I wonder what’s in here? It’s a closet. The wallpaper is pretty dirty. There’s a tea set above and a refrigerator below. There’s no water in the door, and when you open the door, there’s a sink. It ‘s been beautifully renovated. And now this is the bathroom. I booked through Rakuten Travel for a standard Japanese-style twin room (12 tatami mats) with a basic buffet plan including one night and two meals, which cost 34,196 yen for two people on a weekday. When making a reservation, it’s probably a good idea to compare it with the official Ooe Onsen Monogatari Iifuro membership . Now, let’s take a stroll around the hotel. Ito Hotel New Okabe has an exterior that looks more like a ward office or hospital than a hotel , and is located in the city . Because of this, the building isn’t very large, so the facilities are compact and easy to use. On the first floor, there is a shop, lobby, premium lounge , and more. The lobby and lounge have large windows, so sunlight comes in from outside, creating a great atmosphere. In the premium lounge, you can enjoy alcoholic and soft drinks for most of your stay. I’d like to talk a bit about the hotel . The Ooe Onsen Monogatari group, which operates three grades of hotels, has the TAOYA series, premium series, and standard series from the top . Ito Hotel New Okabe is a hotel in the premium series . Next, we went down to the basement floor. There is a manga corner and karaoke corner on the basement floor. It’s free from 9:00 to 18:50, and there is a fee from 19:00 to 24:00. Hotel karaoke has a Showa-era feel to it, but the rooms have been beautifully renovated. There was also a large room, so if you ask the front desk, you might be able to use it. There is also a game corner and a kids’ park, so children will enjoy it too. The hot spring has indoor and outdoor baths for men and women, and you can enjoy the precious mixed waters that combine the two private hot springs that spring up on the premises . At night, it is lit up, so you can enjoy bathing in a fantastic atmosphere. Next, I would like to go and see the dinner buffet at the restaurant. Here, you can enjoy a premium buffet that aims to combine deliciousness and fun. The dishes are carefully prepared with carefully selected ingredients . Compared to other premium series hotels, there was an impression that there were more local gourmet dishes. There were quite a lot of dishes such as simmered golden-eyed snapper nigiri, simmered dishes, and inatori meat fried rice. It is really fun to have local gourmet dishes. The live kitchen also offers seared golden-eyed snapper sashimi, tempura , and fried dishes. The fried horse mackerel was especially delicious. The meat was fluffy and the flavor was outstanding . The menu changes with the seasons, such as summer and autumn, so I think it is a buffet that you can enjoy no matter how many times you go. For dessert, there is all-you-can-eat Häagen-Dazs ice cream. I was so happy! You could choose to order all-you-can-drink drinks or individual items a la carte. We caught a huge amount! The sashimi sashimi was thickly sliced and delicious. The fried horse mackerel was also excellent. Ito has great seafood, so I was very satisfied. Next, I’d like to check out the breakfast buffet. While the breakfast buffet has the standard menu items, they also offer a wide variety of popular items like rice bowls and French toast. The menu has a strong Japanese flavor . Their signature dishes seem to be sizzling rice with sizzling red snapper and dried horse mackerel. The main rice dishes are rice, noodles, and ochazuke (rice with tea). There’s also a wide selection of bread, so the selection is quite satisfying . Having such a wide selection of breakfast items makes you feel truly luxurious . The recommended dried horse mackerel was incredibly delicious. From last night’s dinner, I thought the horse mackerel was the best quality .
