Oshino Hakkai, an idyllic little village at the foot of Mr. Fuji

On our visit to the Mt. Fuji area we also stopped at Yoshino Hakkai – little village at the foot of the mountain between lake Kawaguchi and lake Yamanaka famous with its 8 crystal clear ponds. It is such an idyllic place with creaks running through it and flowers blooming everywhere. It was a nice, sunny day so we got the bonus of seeing Mt. Fuji too – on our last visit it wasn’t visible at all. Here’s a short video I made to give you a taste of what Oshino Hakkai is like
