In this eye-opening episode, I traveled to Makoko, the famous floating village in Lagos, Nigeria, to uncover the daily lives of its resilient inhabitants. Known as one of the most unique yet challenging communities in the world, Makoko rests on polluted waters, offering a stark look at survival amidst adversity.

I had the privilege of meeting the village chief, who shared insights into the community’s history and culture. The chief’s son gave me a guided tour, showcasing the schools, homes, and the ingenuity of locals who thrive in such extreme conditions. I also embarked on a boat ride through the dark, putrid waters, gaining a closer look at the floating homes and the day-to-day life in this extraordinary place.

  1. You ever notice we are African American right so why we all speaking differently languages. Thats cause what we speak now isnt our real language

  2. The kids are so happy! Bless them…they show such appreciation, joy in their spirits, and love for each other with so much less. Our children….not all of them…but the majority, have so much more yet express entitlement, misery, and can treat each other so cruel. Thank you for helping me be able to show mine what life is really about. So much beauty truly! You're living my dream life! ✨♥️

  3. You are so nice for videoing all them. I hope you have them some money. Just $500 could give most of those kids in schooling or feed the village for a month.
