直島町歩き in 日本 – パート5/5

Well, well, welcome back everybody to the perfect walk. My name is Clint and today we are still on Naima Island which has been just an absolute treat. Just stopped at a I mean maybe the prettiest coffee shop I’ve ever had a cup of coffee at. And I’ve been to a lot of really good coffee shops. It wasn’t the best coffee I’ve ever had. It was solid. Maybe a six and a half on a scale of 1 to 10, but the view and the atmosphere was a 10 out of 10. And the food was good, too. Had a little vegetable baguette and a macaron. So good. So, so good. 10 out of 10 would recommend that coffee shop and this island. Welcome to the channel if you’re new here. What we do is walks around the world. Every week a new 30inut episode of a beautiful place just like this that you can get to know with me. We wander, we explore. We don’t have a plan. My plan right now is to walk down this hill and see what’s at the bottom. Eventually, we need to go that way before the last ferry leaves the island tonight. Otherwise, I’ll be sleeping in a park, which uh Doesn’t sound too terrible. You know, is this a bakery? Oh my god. Yeah, it is. Pantoi Bakery open. Don’t tempt me. I do not need to stop again. One coffee shop stop was enough. All right, looks like we’ve got a fork in the road. And also, look at that. Look how beautiful that is. Look at the water. Wow. Uh the flags you see, not the ones that warn about traffic, but the flags you see like this one right here that says 2025 Satoshi Trinya is uh because the islands in the STO Inland Sea are participating in a massive art though. And so you can island hop and look at art galleries and installations. It’s pretty damn cool. All right, I think I’m going to go left cuz we need to head in that direction eventually. And I think that’s where the bus came from, too. Looks like the sidewalk is on that side. So, we’ll scooch over there. Oh, yeah. I see a town down there. Cool. Let’s head in that general direction. That made our choice pretty easy. There’s a bus parking lot. So, some people I think just got off that bus. So, there must be something to see down here. Maybe a museum or maybe it’s just a cool little town. Selfishly, I’m hoping for the cool little town part. I wasn’t sure if I was going to do this trip to Nosima. Now I can’t imagine my trip without it. This place is great. [Applause] Best playground ever. You got a motorcycle and a rusty jungle gym and a slide that runs into a thorn bush. That’s amazing. No, the slide just runs into the fence. I love it. And I think we need to go that way. So, we’ll see if that’s a possibility at some point. Looks like everybody’s going right though. And the main road goes right, too. So, I’m not trying to climb that mountain or die on that hill. Ah, I should have gone with that. Oh, here’s the upgraded playground. Don’t worry. And a little shrine. Ah, and we’ve got a coffee truck. Nice. Very nice. Very nice. H I think we’ll just keep going. Do we want to walk through here? Yeah, why not? Looks kind of cool. I love the old wooden homes. I think this is that wood treatment where they burn the wood to make it last longer. I forget what it’s called. Another cafe. Wow, that’s a big building up here. The biggest I’ve seen on the island, I think. This looks more interesting up here than the big museumish building. Oh, look at this street. This is so pretty. This is so great. We got rid of the pollutive funders. Buy, buy, sell, sell, buy, sell. Mhm. Ah, foot foot spa over here. Not something I think you film. Naked feet. How cool. [Music] a very cool place and I think it goes back I mean honestly like four or five streets. So, I’ll certainly leave some more for you to explore when you come. I’m going to make my way back towards the ferry port so that I can not miss the last ferry to Takamatsu port. coffee and guest house. This place is just absolutely charming. Absolutely charming. Every single bit of it. Little Essentials grocery store. I was just reading the timets on the bus. I think we can actually explore the town a little bit more and then I can just take the bus back. So, I think that’ll be more enjoyable for everyone than me walking up a hill for 35 minutes. So, we’ll use our time that way. I’d be sad if I missed part of this just because of a timing issue. So, that part I said about leaving some for you to explore, y’all should click ahead. Go to another video because I’m not going to leave any of it for you to explore. Now, there’s a little shrine over here. That’s a beautiful building here. It’s a lot of Looks like this is some kind of museum building here. And this is a coffee shop here. And it’s kind of all blended in to residential neighborhood which is very cool. Another shrine up those stairs. Nosima 695 breaking the rules creatively I’d say Oh, the vending machine for pen cases. Hyprong cafe seasonal special. Happy scones. It’s going to Get in this one. Soft serve was very tempting, but I think I’ll wait until I get to the port. Well, this is clearly my favorite. I now have a new favorite place. I could spend a month on this island. Now Shima Town bus. That’s probably the bus that I need. Please wait on the opposite side. This bus goes to Sujutso for Mayanora Port. Please wait on the opposite side. Hello. Let’s go check out the ocean before we wrap up this walk. I hope you’ve loved it. I certainly have. Oh, there’s an art installation over here. Let’s go check it out. I think it looks like the perfect place. to wrap up our walk. I probably missed a lot, honestly. That’s what I do when I wander. Like, there’s a whole part of the neighborhood over there. The town stretches all the way down the the ocean there. There’s another cafe. See? Now Shima Kitchen 148. Now Shima Backpackers looks like a hostel. Oh man, guest house. That looks like the place to stay. I’ll have to look that up later. That might make this place pretty affordable. Oh, it’s a bike parking and a sculpture. How about that? right next to a public restroom. Pretty cool. Very, very neat. And here’s a little coffee shop called Cafe Kichiwa. All right, I’m going to walk back over to the bus stop, catch my bus to the ferry port, get on a ferry, and head to Takamatsu is the next stop. Thank you all as always for the love and support and we will See you next time. Bye for now everyone. Come
