横浜 緑区 舊城寺と榎下城跡をたどる散歩｜Japan Kanagawa 4K Walking Tour 2025

Let’s go to a new view. We entered a residential area that looked like it was on a high hill. We have arrived at Choenji Temple. There is a strange monument. I wonder what kind of expression it has. Nothing in particular? Concrete, asphalt, and luxury cars He seems to be making a lot of money. Maybe he owns a lot of land and runs a real estate business. Next is Kyujoji Temple, which is said to be built on the site of Enokida Castle. The compact Six Jizo Enokida Castle was a subsidiary castle of Ojima Castle and is said to have existed around 1440. It became a temple around 1603. Many castles are built on high ground and rely on water transportation, but the Onda River is nearby, so the topography is probably ideal. It’s scary to think that a house right next to an earthen wall might collapse. It would have been fine for a few hundred years. It’s the Yokohama Line. The countryside stretches along the Umeda River. It’s a landscape that has been around for a long time. Enkoji Temple comes into view. It looks old, but I wonder if it would have been okay to have it in such a flat area in the event of flooding. The garden is well maintained. 横浜市の三保地区を歩いていると、いつの間にか緑区に入っていた。長津田から鴨居へと続く地域、高台には整った住宅街が広がり、街の静けさの中に日常の営みが息づいている。やがて長延寺にたどり着いた。境内には言葉にしがたいモニュメントが置かれ、静かな空気の中でただ存在感を放っていた。続いて訪れた舊城寺は、かつて榎下城の跡地に建てられた寺で、小机城の支城として十五世紀半ばに築かれた城が起源だという。江戸の初めに寺へと姿を変え、今も土塁の一部が残されている。隣家に迫るその姿は崩れそうに見えながら、数百年を超えて耐え続けてきた証だ。近くを横浜線が走り、梅田川沿いには田園が広がる。都市のすぐそばに、変わらぬ農の風景が残されていることに心を打たれる。さらに円光寺に立ち寄ると、丁寧に手入れされた庭と、昭和期の趣を残す建物が静かに佇んでいた。低地に建ちながら洪水を免れ、祈りと暮らしを守り続けてきたその姿に、過ぎ去った時間と今の生活が重なり合う。歩くごとに、都市と歴史、祈りと日常が交差する光景が目の前に広がり、心に余韻を残していった。
