Hello everyone. Welcome to another video. In this
video, we’re going to show you everything we ate in Hoan. We are in Hoan. Yes, we are. Hope you’re
hungry. You cannot come to Hoyan without visiting ancient town. So, this is what we’re going to
take you now. We’re going to explore together, have a look, wander around, do a
little bit of shopping as well, maybe grab a bite to eat or coffee.
Yeah. Let’s go and explore Han Oldtown. You want But Danny, you want
orange juice with ice? Yeah, I got it. Orange juice with ice. Try that. Hello. Orange juice with ice. Orange juice. Yeah,
orange juice. Orange juice, please. Very, very good. Orange juice in Vietnam served
with uh one. Sorry. How much for one? How much for one? 30,000 for one.
Okay. More expensive than a beer. Can I take video? Freshly
squeezed right in a cup. Ah. So, it’s not orange juice like it’s more
like a squeezed. Thank you. squeezed uh oranges there. Little bit of sugar and
water. It’s like a very refreshing drink. Good. Oh, and limey. This is good. Very good. It’s lime in there as well. Yeah. Try
that. Oh. Oh, yeah. Zingy. Yeah. Nice though. It’s nice and refreshing. I love the
limey drinks when it’s this hot. So good. So 5 minutes away from here, there is a good
bame spot. That’s where we’re going to take you now because we need some food. Yeah,
I’m still hungry. I need more food. [Music] Oh, [Music] that’s so nice. Come on. Oh my
god. Best service ever. Look at that. The guy covered our motor bike seat. It gets very hot.
Come on. Thank you so much. So we are at place called Fee Bami. There is not far from ancient
town. This place was recommended to us by Gary, our friend, food expert around the world. What
it looks like because his recommendations are always on point. Absolutely delicious.
Great. Always trust him. So, let’s get a snack. Which one you going for? I might go for
chicken. I like the chicken one. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, it looks like this place was open for
ages. There’s loads of uh family pictures on the wall. So this lovely gentleman, he makes
his own spicy sauce which we going to definitely try. Yes. Yeah. He said it’s not the same
as any other place. So we’ll see you in a minute. Yes. I’m going to go for traditional
Vietnamese, please. Can I have chicken? Okay, cool. Hello. Can we have uh one traditional
Vietnamese? And uh should I get chicken and egg? Chicken and egg. Yeah. Can I have chicken and
egg as well? And chili is good. You better taste. Yeah. Yeah. And everywhere they met with the oven.
Yeah. Yeah. And this oven help me when I’m busy. Oh yeah. Yeah. Slowly I met with the charcoal
and then I keep the warm room from here. Oh, you keep it hot. Yeah. Yeah. Keep the warm because
they are not to eat and way the way the friend come. Ah okay. Oh yeah. It’s nice and warm. All
right. So you’re still cooking in very traditional way. Yes. Over charcoal. Yeah. Very good. Oh,
this is your special chili sauce. Yeah. So, this gentleman got special chili sauce here.
I give you the one small bowl. Okay. And uh I put already in this is extra. Yeah. You want
extra because you love the spicy spicy. Oh, come on. Come on. Thank you very
much. Come here with the fem. Okay. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. Oh,
yeah. Yeah, the chili. The traditional number one. Okay, come on. Super hot for a minute. I let
it cool down. It’s kind of that charcoal. Yeah, it’s very hot for a minute. Yeah. So, this
place got certificate of excellence given by the trip advisor. Right. Going for it.
I’m going to spoon it everywhere. Yeah. Ah. This is delicious. Absolutely delicious.
I love fresh and pickled veggies inside. Mate is so good. And as always, super
light bread filled with goodness. How’s the chili? I can’t taste chili yet. Oh yeah.
M. That chili sauce is absolutely delicious. The chili. Very good. So good. M. I’m just
going to load it and even put more on it. M. Absolutely delicious. Yes. So, I’ve gone for
chicken. So, you see here you got roasted chicken inside. You got pickled veggies. That chili
sauce. He’s chucking more in. And I got fried egg as well. Haven’t had one with fried egg yet.
Let’s do what Diggy did. Just get rid of the end bit quickly. Let’s give this a go. [Music] Good.
Right. The chili sauce is amazing. Mhm. But also with that egg, it reminds me like a breakfast
bath. This is perfect for breakfast with the egg inside. Like I said, you can taste a bit of charm
smokiness where you put it on that grill. Oh, I need more chili. Yeah, delicious. That chili
sauce is absolutely amazing. Mhm. Chuck it in. I think that’s enough. It’s not too
spicy. It does have a little kick. Yeah. But it’s more sweet than anything
as well, I think. Sweet and spicy. Yum. Delicious. And people are so friendly
here as well. Lovely gentleman and family run business. Beautiful, beautiful
spot, beautiful place. [Music] Again, this only a 5-minute drive from the center of
Oldtown. They say the center by the river. So if you’re staying in Oldtown, this could
be like a 5minute walk for you guys. Yeah. Mar chili. M chili. This gentleman just said to
us he is open for 13 years already and he changed his chili sauce recipe five times now. Until it’s
right. Yeah. Until it’s right and it’s perfection. Perfection. That’s a nice bit of heat. A little
bit sweet, but yeah, I can feel it. A little bit tingly. It’s good. It’s nice. Amazing. Right.
Should we pay? Yeah. Let’s pay and see how much it was. We pay and soda. Soda water. Uh 70,000.
So that was 75,000. That’s with the soda as well. Come on. Come on. Highly recommend this place.
Make sure you put it on the map. Thank you. Come on. Thank you so much. We come back tomorrow.
Okay. What time What time you open? 8. 8:00 in the morning. Okay. We come back tomorrow. 88.
88. Okay. Easy to remember. 88. 8. Oh, yeah. That’s good. 88 88. See you tomorrow. Thank you
so much. Come on. Bye-bye. We need to take you for some traditional food around here in Hoyan. Very
famous noodle dish. So that’s where we’re going to go next. You coming? Yeah. Let’s go. So this
place was on an island called Kim Bong. Kimong. Just looking where we’re going.
Safe driving. But like Danny, what did you say about the Hoyan before? There’s
what? No, basically basically Hoyan is built on a delta. So basically there’s loads of little
islands you can explore around here which are all within 5 10 minutes of Hoyan town or
very close to Anban Beach where we’re staying. Here we open. Chincha. Right, we have
arrived. We have arrived, but I’m not sure if they open here. Hello.
Chincha. There’s definitely party going on in the neighbor’s house. You want to
stay open? Chincha, are you open? Open [Music] door. Okay. Okay. Video.
Come on. Oh wow. Video. Okay. Oh, maybe we can get something. Danny.
Yeah. Who is it? Where are we? Where are we? Just very quickly, I want to answer
one question we’ve been getting a lot lately. What backpacks we use for travel? So, this is
Tom Navigator T 66 28 L backpack. And this is our go-to lately because it allows us to travel
smart and light. I’m going to show you how. So, my favorite feature is that you have a easy
access from both sides. You can open it as easy, same way as you would open a suitcase. TSA
friendly and it has two laptop or tablet sleeves. Practical pockets. Hidden pocket for passport
and wallet. water bottle pocket on both sides, padded back for the comfort, and adjustable
straps. You can use it for travel days, everyday commute, or even weekends away.
It looks minimal, but it packs a ton. And it’s designed to meet carry-on requirements for
most of the airlines. If 28 L is not big enough, there is an option for 40 L backpack. Make sure
to check out the link in description. We are in Kimbong village and King Bong village Kam Kim
commun and it’s culinary experience spot and they making quang noodle kang noodle noodle noodle
we going to try out. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Quang noodle. Guang noodle. One. Oh wow. Look.
This is like Oh wow. It’s burning that. Yeah. Oh, we want to eat that one dish, right? Yeah.
So, this lady here is just making some uh I think maybe noodle. Noodle. Yeah, noodle.
Yeah, the lady is making noodle now. So, I think they’re burning the rice here, right, for
the fire. But what they’re doing is basically this is like a a steamed noodle. So when we have
this cowo basically they make the noodle like this and they slice it up and this goes into
the cowo. So I think this is basically like a rice flour and what they do is they put
it on very thin and they make like a very thin wrapper and I think afterwards what they
do do is they fry some of them or some they use for noodle dishes. So they can actually
slice it and make noodle dishes as well. But I think we’re going to try maybe get some of the
crispy ones I think. Oh, it smells so smoky. Wow. Oh, and they’re dry. They cool off. Yeah. So,
I think actually Yeah, they’re using the rice husk to burn to actually feed the fire. Yeah, it’s
rice hus. So, when they actually dehusk the rice, they use this to make the fire in below. So,
they’re not wasting anything. They’re cooking with the rice and using the hus to actually fire the
fire as well. All right. I know what’s happening now. You can try making the noodles here. Uh,
basically that’s what the ladies are doing now, but they do not have soup at the moment. So, I
think we’re just going to try some uh maybe those snacks over there, right? Yeah. I think they have
like fried ones, like deep fried like uh basically like cakes, crispy cake kind of stuff, some sesame
as well. Yeah. So, that will be um interesting. I think this lovely ladies want to show me how she’s
making noodle. The noodle. Noodle. Ah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. You see this is like a cutting
machine. This how they cut the noodles here with the rice. Yeah. Ah, you can me I
can do Okay. Uh this way. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, the other way. This way. Okay.
Ah. All right. [Applause] Cooking cooking lesson. Wow.
Yeah. I can try. Ah, okay. Come on. They’re nice and bouncy, right? M. Very
good. Yeah. Okay. Can we Can we buy? Yeah. Okay. Uh, should we get one like this or Yeah. One with
peanuts? Peanuts. Yeah. Okay. Which one you want, Danny? I think I’ll get the one with the peanuts.
I think this one’s like black sesame seed and also peanuts. I think this one is a sweeter one. It
looks like got a sticky glaze on top as well. So, we’ll take these two go with us. Yeah. Yeah. So,
we don’t get noodles this time. We’re looking for the noodle dish this time, but we can’t
get everything we want all the time, but it’s nice to see them cooking. Making it. Yeah. Come
on. Ah. Come on. [Music] Come on. 50. 50. Okay. Okay. There’s a party next to party. Party. Ooh,
this is quite heavy. I’m going to try one now cuz you know me, I cannot wait. Oh, I don’t know how
you Should I just bite it? Snap. Snap a bit off. Oh my god. It’s nice. This is so good. Yeah, this is
amazing. Oh, Danny, you have to try this. This is like a It’s like sticky. Oh, this is
sweet as well. Yeah, I think it’s honey sesame. Peanuts are peanuts are a little bit soft.
This is delicious. Really, really good. M. Mhm. Let me try. Oh, it does actually. This one
is sweet as well. M. Oh, it’s actually quite like chewy actually. Yeah. Look at that. Oh, I thought
it was just going to be a solid crispy. [Music] M. Oh, yeah. Very good. M. Very nice.
M. Very nice. I love peanuts anyway, but that sesame makes it like
proper like smoky, roasty, the black sesame. And it’s like, yes, spread
with local honey possibly. Crunchy, chewy, sticky, and lovely. M. M. All right. Is it good?
Good. Thank you very much. Come on. Bye-bye. What a lovely family. They would literally just
walked into their home. They went they went open because it’s Sunday, but we just walked in.
They started fire for us. They wanted to show us how they making noodles. They were very
accommodating. That food is delicious. Shame we cannot have a proper noodle dish. Make sure
you come and check this place out. It’s very, very interesting. Yeah. Yeah. It’s very
local. I love it. And these are really tasty. And the grandma making the noodles
is so cool. She have a girl. Yeah. So nice. Yeah, we’re here. I’m sweating. You want to join the party? Yeah,
his singing might be better than mine actually. I think it’s just
ringing out across the whole village. Nice bit of echo. [Music] [Applause] What you up to? Just trying to find
somewhere to go for food for noodles because the other place was closed. So, we need to find a
nice spot. But we just stopped in basically in the middle of the rice fields. Brand new road.
Lovely nice little bench to sit down. And the view is stunning. Mountains over there straight
in front of you. You got a massive rice field with beautiful green color. Danny’s trying more
food for you. Just trying the other one that we just bought. This one is basically the rice paper.
And again, it’s a sticky one, but white sesame, not black sesame. So, the same, just different
sesame. M. Yum. Wo. It’s nice. Super chewy. I love it. Really good. Right. Found it. Same
noodle they just they were making there now, but it’s a restaurant which is actually open. We
got 10 minutes drive. It closes in 30 minutes. So, hopefully we can make it. I just need to quickly
take a picture of this beautiful place. Let’s go. So, we came to the place called Beach Cowo.
Come on. And Okay. Mikuang rice paper noodle, right? Yes. Noodle. Okay. Come
on. How do you just squeeze on top? Yeah. This one. You some. Mhm.
Lemon. This lemon here. Okay. Oh, it’s chili vegetable here. Okay.
And you like spicy? Spicy. I like this. Sweet and spicy or just spicy? Yeah, it’s
okay. Spicy. And you can mix it together. Okay. Oh wow. And and really spicy vegetable. Okay.
That’s lovely. Lady’s just explaining what goes with what because and how to eat it.
Yeah. So when you come to these countries, the most difficult thing is knowing how to
eat it properly or what to put in. So she’s done a great job on these cowo here and it looks
amazing. But quickly about kowalao. The thing is this is actually a regional dish from Hoyan. So
when you’re here, you have to come and try it. The thing that’s different are the noodles. The
thing is they’re super bouncy, but what they do, they soak it in something called lie water.
It’s kind of a more alkaline water and it makes it more bouncy and more chewy. That’s the main
thing about this cowo is the noodles. So yeah, cool. Try I’m super excited to try these
noodles. This is dish you have to try when you come to Hoan. And the best thing
about it is that I’ve got some spice in it. Oh, this is Oh, this is very good. M
pork is nice and thin slice. Not fatty. Oh, dummy. I think this is pork skin. Oh, is it?
It look like rice cracker. I know. Maybe crack. I don’t know. I’m confused. I’m confused. I’m
confused because it tastes a little bit porky. Maybe it’s cooked and pork fat.
That’s it. Maybe. All right, let’s try these noodles. Danny said they bouncy.
They a little bit different than normal noodles. More chewy, I think. M. This is pretty good,
actually. I like spice in it. Oh, there’s a little bit of broth, too. 20. There’s a little
bit of broth too here. I want to try that broth. Well, super rich. Little bit um
sweet. That broth is delicious. That is good. Has lots of like a kind of muggy
flavor, but it’s not very salty. I like this. Oh, do you know what? This is very nice. You
need to try kowi when you come to Hoyan. Hanoi. Keep mixing hoan and hanoi. Sorry. This
is the dish you have to try when you come here. So, this is another dish here. We’re going to
try mi kuang noodles. So, this is basically rice noodles. Again, this is only uh I think
it’s a mix of pork and chicken in this one. We literally showed you this minute ago how you
make these noodles. Now we’re going to try it. Load of veggies. Dropping half of it. I can
see here there’s loads of peanuts in this one as well. I’m going to try before
adding any chili and everything. So, I want to get the taste without it. So,
first thing, let’s try these noodles. M m. That’s really nice. Yeah, this is a little
bit when they say it’s sweet actually. A little bit sweet. No spice. I think it’s neat spice
to it, but the flavor is really good. Sweet, peanuty, and yeah, it’s not super super rich.
Let me try some of the broth. Like Diggy said, with these noodle dishes, it’s not like a soup
noodle. You only get a little bit of broth in the bottom. You can see, look at the color. It’s
more like yellowy, peanuty, saté kind of color. Oh, maybe slightly salty, slightly sour, maybe a
little bit. That’s nice. Nice and refreshing. I like this. This is a really good dish again.
Really good dish. Yeah. I’m loving this trip to Vietnam this time. We’re trying so many more
dishes. So much new food, right? And been shown how to eat it as well. We’re sitting right by the
road with the river view as well. It’s very nice. The breeze is coming from the river on a very
hot day. That’s perfect. And you get lovely, lovely noodles with a little bit of cake. Going to tell you the price in a minute. So, I just tried Danny’s noodles and we swap
because Mika is right right up my alley. It’s so good. What are you laughing at? Right
up my sleeve. Right up my alley work as well. I can’t speak. Sorry. Yeah, these noodles
are delicious. I love rice. Pick rice noodle. It’s very, very refreshing
dish. Mikuang is my favorite so far. You like that? I like the mint and the different
herbs in here. It makes it so much nicer. This one’s much richer. The kowala is slightly richer
than the miuang noodles. So, it needs a bit of freshness from the herbs, so it’s not quite as
rich. Yummy. Just got myself green tea. Try this when you come to Vietnam. Delicious. It’s
like a olong olong tea with lime and honey. Name noodles. Highly recommend. You get that
peanuty comforting flavor and a little bit sweet from the peanuts. Refreshing, limey,
delicious, delicious noodles and you can put your own chili in. Grandmother, mother now.
Three generation. Yes. Maybe chili. Yes. So, we just been told this place been open uh it’s
run by the third generation and they’ve been open for 50 years. Wow. Amazing. It’s really
good food. Really good food. Make sure you put this place on your map. Thank you. Come on.
Thank you so much. Thank you. You can finish it. How much did you pay? Oh, sorry. That was
115,000. That’s for three drinks as well, but really good price as well. Very tasty. Right,
next stop. We’ve stopped basing the center of the beach, the most busiest part. But what’s the
place called? Which place? This place. Yeah, I can’t see it. There will be link in description.
Yeah, it’s too long to pronounce and I’ll probably butcher it as well. But I’ve come for also
this this is called Huda beer and Huda means it was basically brewed in do you say Hay or Q?
I don’t know one or the other. And basically the DA basically stands for like Danish beer. So
basically it’s from Hay but it has brewed in the way that it brew in Denmark. It’s actually
owned by Carlsburg. So I want to try this one. Very good. Really good. I never try this one. It’s
good. Never try. Never know. No. Never try. Never know. I like that. Never know. After you can try
that one also. Very good. 10 kilo. 10 kilo. Yeah, you can. Wow. And you ask also. You say you
go on the big you shingling with me and you earn for 50% can for you. I get 50%. Okay.
Lovely jobly. Lovely. Good job. You like small. That’s Tai. Same same but different.
Yeah. And same same but better. Same same. You’re very lovely. Thank you so much. Come
on. You’re very nice. Very good seller. And you’re very friendly and happy. Cuz we
are in Vietnam. Yeah. Oh, [ __ ] nice. She open your heart. You open with your
wallet. She She took my wallet. She has my wallet. life. Yes. If you see this lady on
the beach, make sure you come and buy something from her. Come on. Thank you so much. When they
come in on Vietnam and they buy for suns. Yes, that’s what I just say. Go and buy stuff
from Sansan. The best seller on the beach, right? Yeah. Yeah. Thank you.
Sansan number one. Lovely chocolate. Right. All right. So, we had the seller come
up and it kind of disturbed my beer story, but she said this is very good. So, yeah.
Huda, let’s give it a go. Did you finish the story? Yeah. Look at it. Ooh, that’s nice.
That’s super refreshing. That’s not hoppy at all. I like this one. This might be one of my
favorite beers. I like uh Beer Viet and this one. Yeah. Try it. Honestly, Beerviet is my
one of my favorite beers ever. Try this one. Oo, I like that, too. Nice and refreshing.
Yeah. Yeah. You like Huda? Saigon and Huda so far. Right. Let’s look at the food. Let’s look
at the food because we’re being chased here. We’re sitting by the beach. Right by the beach.
It’s nice breeze here. I couldn’t pick the seat for ages because I’m so hot. Right. So, what we
going to have? I know what I’m going to have. So, I’ve made one choice already for a little snack.
I don’t have the full meal. We’re going to have a snack here. So, I want grilled squid. Yeah.
Okay. So, we’re having grilled squid. I’m going for the grilled scallops with onions and peanuts.
Okay. Yeah, cuz it’s like spring roll. Yeah. But we’re going to go for the spring roll. Hoan
spring row. Okay. Okay. Done. Three little snacks. Scallop. What food has arrived? But I’m a
little bit disappointed because what I thought I’m going to get has not arrived. And I’m not going to
argue with a man. And yeah, basically. All right. I wanted like a big It pointed to something,
but basically it was the wrong one. So, we got something something different. Still squid,
but yeah. But we’ve got Hoyan spring rolls, which they are a little bit different than normal spring
rolls. I think it’s because they just wrapped in super thin, flaky uh kind of uh wrapper. I’m not
too sure. Something something on top. I’m not sure what is it. Can you see that? It’s like
something crispy on the top of the wrapper. Mhm. Good. Very good. Very good. Very good.
Thank you. Come on. Let me try. Very good. Full of vegetables as well. This is so good. Danny,
super crispy. Fin. Yummy. M. Spain. It’s like a strawberry glassy stuff. Like a glassy kind
of very crispy difference. So, it’s your normal fresh spring roll, but then it’s deep fried,
but you put something crispy like threaded. It looks like threaded on the top. I’m going to
have some sauce. Get down with that and eat it. Oh yeah. M. Mhm. Oh, good. Okay. Yes. Very
good. Mhm. Before only Vietnam only you hear lot of meat. Very good. Very good morning.
Yes. Fresh. Fresh. Okay. Come on. What the guy tell you? That is very good. It’s caught
fresh here. You can see actually the fishing bowls just right there. The spring rolls are
out of this world. They’re really good. The hoan spring rolls a little bit different.
Just gives it more crunch. Yes. And Danny, they’re very light. But Danny ordered his favorite
dish, which is basically scallops with butter, onions, and peanuts. Let me pick up a nice big one
here. Okay. So, this is basically grilled scallop, peanuts, little bit of veggies. These
are so good. It’s a perfect little snack. M. That is done like on a proper charcoal grill.
You can taste the charcoal smokiness in this. That’s so good. I’ve been waiting for these.
So good. Mhm. Right. And I’m going to go for the squid. I don’t know how to tackle
it chop. [Laughter] [Music] [Laughter] Yuri Gala bending spoons. Okay. Right. So, what I’ve ordered squid. I don’t know how to eat
this cuz you can see the freaking spoon bended. But it’s proper grilled on the barbecue. We
could smell it when it was cooking as well. Oh yeah. I wonder if it’s going to be chewy
cuz it’s hard to cut. For me, it’s quite It has a strong fishy taste. Yeah. For me, I’m not
a big fan of very very strong fishy flavors. So, it’s not for me. What do you think? Well, I
don’t know. I usually like fishy fish and uh I just don’t want to I don’t Usually when it
smells super fishy, then that means it’s not very fresh. Is it? I don’t know. I tell you what,
[Music] where is properly barbecued and grilled, that tastes good with those burnt bits.
That’s good. I think what it is is that they don’t like gut these ones. They’re like
fully the whole thing. That’s probably why it tastes more fishy. Normally, you used to
like squid rings when they chop them up for you already. I’ve never actually tried
the whole whole one. The small ones I have, but not bigger ones. Maybe that’s why it has a
different taste. I think in the beginning I was just a little bit confused because um it’s not
gutted. So I think I just bit into it straight away and I had a little bit of stomach more fishy
fishy flavor. Yeah. Oh, it’s good. It’s good. Price bill. So total price of the bill was 570
uh,000. It’s actually not too bad. Two small beers. We thought we’re going to get a big beer,
but there’s lots of seafood places here. So, I think we’re going to try in another video another
one as well. Yeah, we’re going to compare of the seafood. So, this is actually where our food came
from. So, when I say it’s fresh, it’s from here. [ __ ] hell, it’s really cut really nice
and clean. So, where’s my squid though? I can’t see my squid. So, this place was
recommended to us by our friend Gar, which he always has the best recommendations for
food. We can smell the pork already. Uncle is sitting here barbecuing a huge portions of meat
in a basket on the barbecue ready to be served. I cannot wait. This is our breakfast and it looks
really, really good. This is a good breakfast. You can see already that they basically have a bowl
full of marinade. This marinade contains a lot of lemongrass and it’s slightly sweet as well.
Yeah, it smells so good. All right, come on. This looks good. See you later. Okay, come on.
So, we’re going to get a lesson again how to prepare your food, I think. Okay. So, I think we
did this completely wrong before. So, you get the dry sticky roast paper and put it on the sticky
side and you pull it off like in a sheet. Okay. Oh, there you go. Oh. Ah. Okay. And then you
put the stick, you wrap it up. And the thing is, but it’s not sticky now cuz you got the dry rice
paper on the outside. And then pull it up. Oh, okay. Come on. Oh, wow. Yeah, she’s made one
for you already. Diggy’s already got one ready. She’s made a hand by the professional. I’ll
do one in a minute. There is some peanuts. So, we’ve got peanut sauce here and lady chuck some
chili in it as well. This looks really rich. Sorry. This is delicious.
You’re going to love this. Good. M. This is so good. We had one before in an
Han old town in the center and it was terrible. We didn’t have a clue how to make it. We had all this
stuff cooked beside us, but we were just pulling the sticky rice paper off and just eating it and
wrapping it. But the way you seen it do it now, I It’s going to be good. Let me try and make
one. Right, I’ve had my lesson. Let’s see if I can do it as well as she did. I’m not too
sure. So, get the dry one and then you place it on the sticky ones and you push it down
a little bit and you should Yeah. this side. Ah, there you go. And the sticky ones in the
middle. And you get your salad. Put your salad in there. And your herbs. There’s some herbs
in the bottom. Actually, mint. I definitely want some mint in there. And then you get your
stick. You see it’s already open at the top. So, all you do is you stick it on. Ah, I think you
wrap it first. Yeah, wrap it first. So, push it together. Wrap it up. And then you grab and you
should be able to just Oh, yeah. Easy. Try. Try. Mine’s a bit fatter than diggies. Well, mine was
made by the professional. I’m semi-professional. Good. Mhm. Look at the Look at that meat. It’s all
charcoal. Little grilled bits on the end. This is delicious. The thing is the meat is very thin,
so it’s cooked very hot and very quickly. So, it chars but stays super soft in the middle.
And that is so delicious with the mixed herbs and the saté peanut sauce. But what makes it
really nice is actually the the thick noodle, the noodle inside gives a bit of
chew. It’s really good. I love this. One of my favorite dishes actually.
I really like this one. Thank you, Gary. [Music] How’s your one? You made it well. M this
is delicious spot for food. Make sure you come here. Go. Like a perfect breakfast food. And the
thing is I love the way that you have to make your food as well. So you don’t just smash it down and
eat it. You have to take it inside and make it. And yeah, it’s delicious. Absolutely delicious.
Amazing. [Music] People are very happy to see us here as well. Ladies coming out of the kitchen,
they smiling. They happy to see us. So it’s very local place. Not many foreigners come here. I
think I am I’m not seeing anyone. So, but I’m not sure why because this is like in the middle of
Hoya. It’s really close to the old town. It’s very close. Yes. If you’re looking to come here, this
place is open from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. So, it’s open all day and they got thousands of
sticks. You see the guy outside? There’s thousands of sticks he’s got down there. He’s constantly
constantly cooking. Must be doing it all day. And tea. Yeah. Thank you. One, four, five.
Come on. Come on. So each of the barbecue sticks for one portion of five is 60,000
for each one. So we had two. So that was 120,000 for the food. Really good price. Thank
you. Thank you. Bye-bye. Lovely. Very friendly people. Lovely family and delicious food.
What more you ask for? Better motorbike. This one is not very good. It’s like proper m
smashed up, but oh well. It’s massive key already. I am struggling at the moment with the
heat. It’s really really humid. It’s not even that hot, but humidity is really
high. I can’t wait for my bunny. Got it. Now it’s busy. Do you want to eat
it over there? Yeah. Yeah, let’s go. There was nobody there when we turned up. Let’s go over there by the bike. Where’s our
bike? Oh, let’s go. Let’s go that way. Freaking hell, man. Let’s
go in the bike parking lot. Got the goods. Got the goods.
I’ve been waiting for this one. Can we have a sniff? Oh, I can smell the
pork already. Grilled barbecue pork. Oh, no. It smells like barbecue. It’s normal grilled
pork. You want to sit here or over there? Oh, that looks nice. All right, try it. Taste
test. This looks so good. Crunchy bread, loads of fresh veggies, pickled veggies, and
this is Yeah. barbecue pork. Uh, let’s go. Mhm. M. The pork in here is like belly pork. It has a bit
of fat in it, which is really nice. And you have this um pate in here. The pate is really, really
good. Gives it a nice rich flavor. But also, this one has a nice little chili kick.
Not too hot, but a lovely chili kick, but so refreshing as well at the same time.
Diggy, you have to try this. Is delicious. M. And also the herbs inside. So delicious.
Gives it so much flavor. That’s so good. I see what the hype is now. I might have
to get another one for the road. God, it’s so bright. I’m rich. Squint. He can’t
stop squinting. Okay, let’s go for it. M. Oh, this is good. Look how much sap is inside.
And the pate as well. That pate is delicious. Although I never seen tomato in a bani before.
Maybe they just like, you know, jazzed it up a little bit for the tourists. M. This is so good.
This is our favorite breakfast. And beer snack when in Vietnam. I really like fresh onions
with it as well. Doesn’t have pickles in it, does it? This one. Is it pickle? Does it
have pickled veggies? It’s all fresh. No, it’s all fresh. But it’s it’s nice. I
never had one like that. I always had like a pickle veggies in it. But this one
has loads of pate. This is delicious. Mhm. Wait, wait, wait. Well, Danny, you can see you. Only joking. We got one more. But yeah, is
it worth the hype and coming here? Yeah, I come and get one. But what I’ve seen and read
online is after maybe 10, 11 or maybe after 11:00, it starts getting busy. And especially like
in the evenings from like 9:00 onwards, after people had a few beers, it gets super busy here.
So for me, come here early for breakfast. Maybe 9:00 a.m. You have no cues. You can sit on the
street outside and enjoy on the street. Yeah. How much? So each one was 35,000 each, but obviously
there’s different prices for different ones, but it’s ranging from 25 up to 40,000. So, ooh, really
good priced. Perfect breakfast. Like Diggy said. I love it. I could have one of these on the road
as well. It’s like a perfect snack when you’re on the road. Mhm. Stick it in your bike. You can
have it whenever you want it. Can I have some? No. Did you see the sausages in there? They look
like Polish sausages. They slice them like the Polish sausages. Yeah. They had like
a big kubasa. Okay. Important question. Is this better than your favorite bani you
ever had in Hanoi with grilled chicken? No. I’m someone who likes the basic stuff. The one
we had there, you can go check the video out. It’s grilled on the street. All fresh meat. And
it’s basically very simple. Just pickled veggies, hot sauce, and just grilled meat. Antony Bondane
should have gone to that one as well. Yeah, you should check that one out. You should
have checked that one. That was good. I’m not getting much pork, though. It’s
quite a lot. Mine’s like mukb from Thailand, but not crispy. You see the slices are like mukb. So this is the original one, but
because it got so busy. There is actually a second branch, a 3minut
walk away. So this is super busy, maybe go check out the second branch.
Same ingredients, same bread, same place, but probably less busy than this one. And
it’s closer to the center of Oldtown. Top tip. We just arrived in a restaurant called
Baby Mustard. We seen very good reviews, so we decided to try it. Uh there’s some
delicious food on the on the menu. So, let’s go and check it out. Let’s go. I’m starving. This place is also a cooking class and I think
cooking class is going on now. This place, they grown their own vegetables for salads and
everything. Was Danny over there checking out the garden? But we made our order. We’re
ready to eat. Food has arrived. Let’s go. Do we put this inside here? Yeah. Yeah.
All together. Okay. Okay. I can help you. You going to help? Yes. Let’s try. Right.
So, we need instructions for our food. If it’s a little bit complicated, Danny’s
going to show you how to do it. I’m not going to show you. You guys can show me.
Yeah. We’re being helped. So, basically, you can see this dry rice paper. Okay. Dip it.
Oh, okay. And then salad inside. Yeah. Okay. Ah. Yeah. Do your hand. Mhm.
Oh. And then roll this way. Roll from this side. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, wow.
Strong. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Oh, wow. Oh, that looks good. Yeah. Lift yourself. Come on.
Thank you very much. It’s like it’s a mix between like a fresh spring roll and a fried one as well.
Check that out. I never knew how to do this. Unless someone actually tells me, you get all this
stuff on the table unless you research it. I just pick it up and eat it like a normal pancake. How
cool is that? Try try dipping a sauce. [Music] Is it good? Mhm. Yeah. Oh yeah. M. Again, you got
a mix of the fried crunchiness, the nice soft meat inside. Basically, the veggies make it so fresh
as well. Oh, that’s delicious. Got mint there, too. M. That is delicious. Dy, you got to
try this. This is so good. I’m I’m just just going to show you how you have to do it with a
rice paper. This basically half of the dish is uh rice paper here and then it’s a water. So,
just Yeah. D. Mhm. Mhm. Put on your plate. It nice and round. Yeah. This is so cool. This looks
literally delicious. Oh, how red I am. I’m It’s hot. I’m matching matching my top. Red. Let’s go
for it. [Music] What are you laughing at? M. This is delicious. What flavor is that sauce? Things
like ginger lemon dipping sauce. Oh, so good. M I cannot believe we never had this dish before.
We’ve been four times in Vietnam and first time we’re eating this. We wasted so much time,
Danny. So, we have ordered another dish which is grilled chicken with lemon grass. Oh, wow. That
looks amazing. It has just arrived. Oh, smells delicious. I’ve never seen it like this. So, this
is like cooked on a leaf as well. I don’t know if this is a banana leaf maybe. It smells delicious.
And another fresh salad as well. I’m ruining it. I’m taking off all the leaves. Yeah, just ruined
it. Okay, there you go. Let’s try this. It looks delicious. Smells delicious. Oh, that is good.
Oh, strong lemongrass. Slightly sweet and slightly like sate peanut flavor as well. That is so good.
I could eat two plates of this. Digging, you sure you want some? Well, don’t forget you are sharing.
All right, let’s go. Oh, yeah. So much lemongrass, right? M. That is so good. Vietnamese food is
definitely definitely growing on us. We’re trying so many new dishes we’ve never tried before
in Hoyan. It’s actually nice and refreshing. Break from our usual food. Different flavors,
different textures. Absolutely loving it. There is loads of lemongrass on top even like you see.
You see that? That’s lemon grass onion and onion shellot. This is really really nice marinade.
Right. So we’re just going to finish that. We need a coffee and then we’re going to take you
for another spot for another delicious food in Royan. There you go. I like the salad you get
with it as well. And again, loads of fresh herbs. It was very nice. Thank you. Thank you. Right,
Danny, what was the price? That was $239,000. Okay. But also on Ambang Beach, there’s multiple
kind of seafood restaurants and they’re all fresh. They have the glass cabinets. You can look
at all the seafood. Buy per kilo. There’s one place we can recommend and it’s called uh
Tuet. We’ll put the link in the description below. But amazing food there. Good portion
sizes and good value for money for seafood. We really like this place. So check this
one out when you’re here on Anbang Beach. Also, we would love to say big thank you to
our channel members. Uh we absolutely love you guys. Thank you very much for your support.

Guys (you guys know that I know your REAL TIME names, that's for sure!! 😁😁), when you move back to Thailand with some real-time work, when can you spoil me there with some beautiful, new work a good young secondary teen might like to be inspired by please?? 🤩
Don't overlook street food, they are as good as the food you find in expensive restaurants, but the price is 1/10 less expensive.
At 8:56, the sign read, Mi Quang and Rice Wrapper Making Place, for the purpose of demonstrating to tourists. So, they were open for tourists to come in to see how they make Mi Quang and Rice Paper Wrapper. Besides that, they don't sell any other noodle food dishes; their main products were the ones (peanut & sesame candy on rice cracker) that you two bought from them.
สวัสดีครับแดนนี่-ดิกกี้ ขอให้คุณทั้งสองเที่ยวอย่างมีความสุข ทานอาหารให้อร่อย เดินทางปลอดภัยครับ.👍😊
Hi Danny and Diggy, would love to someday be back home just to see how much has changed. I would not be a fan of the oppressive heat and humidity though 🥵
