What’s Inside Next-Generation Capsule Hotel in Kyoto Japan? 🇯🇵 Millennials Kyoto
This video is… Hello everyone 👋 This is Taiyaki 🐟 How are you all doing? I’m in Kyoto right now This time, I’m staying at a capsule hotel in Kyoto for the first time in a while The nearest bus stop is Kawaramachi Sanjo But since it’s in the city center, it’s also close to Hankyu Kawaramachi and Subway Kyoto Shiyakusho-mae stations This area is Kyoto’s only downtown, so it’s crowded during busy times Looks like a Taiwanese pepper bun shop is going to open soon However, there are also a lot of fake-looking stores in this area, so honestly, I’m not sure if it’s authentic yet (lol) If it looks tasty, I’ll review it next time! The bus stop I got off at was around there There are many more bus stops around here 😧 If there’s demand, I might make a video explaining the complicated bus stops in this area If you’re interested, let me know in the comment! 😘 While I was saying that, I’ve arrived at the hotel! There’s a pharmacy next door This is what it looks like inside They used to have exhibits here, but nothing is being held now Reception is on the 8th floor Apparently, this hotel also has Instagram By the way, I have Instagram too, so please follow me 😊 Check-in complete I also got a breakfast ticket, but I wonder if I’ll be able to wake up in time? This time, my room is a mixed-gender capsule and cost about 6500 yen Actually, I’ve stayed at this hotel a long time ago, and the price has gone up since then Also, they used to hand you an iPod at reception, but now it’s already in the room Ta-da! This is my room tonight. Oh, there’s an iPod already in here It’s changed from before 😳 There’s a really big storage space under the bed Locker with a lock It’s deep but not very wide The sideways Myaku-Myaku is way too wide. Longways Myaku-Myaku fits through Just about the same width as Mr. Bird(7cm) Closing… Two hangers and a hook Mirror There’s a shelf above the bed, so you can put lots of stuff It’s great that the outlets are in this spot There’s a gap at the back of the bed. Isn’t that strange? 🤔 It’s because the bed moves. That’s one of the reasons I like this hotel! This function is really helpful for waking up in the morning. It guarantees you’ll wake up! You can also turn the air conditioning on or off You can also adjust it by moving the lid. You can also adjust the lighting Both pillows are soft, but the material inside feels different Having four outlets here is really rare for a capsule hotel You aren’t allowed to do these things in the room! 😤 This is how it looks when you lie down The ceiling is high enough for you to stand, so it doesn’t feel cramped It’s spacious too The mattress is nice and thick too It’s a fully evolved capsule hotel The toilet is on the same floor There are four private toilets. Maybe a bit few The lid doesn’t open automatically, but there’s a bidet Here’s the shower area on the same floor It seems you can’t use the bathtub now Hair dryer Earplugs Shower room Shampoo etc are provided The water pressure is perfect It’s spacious enough for a capsule hotel There’s one washing machine and one dryer. You can buy detergent at reception The washing machine is 300 yen per use. The dryer is 100 yen for the first 15 minutes and 100 yen for every 10 minutes after that This is the shared space on the 8th floor where the reception is located. You can have coffee and tea for free There are plates and seasonings, so you can make simple meals Wash what you used yourself, wipe it, and put it back where it belongs. The network speed is 91 Mbps download and 43 Mbps upload. There are free amenities here. Towels, toothbrushes, razors, and other items are available. Pajamas are available for rental for a fee. Other paid items. This is the working space. This capsule hotel is quite impressive. Teramachi Kyogoku Shopping Street. Here is Nishiki Market, a famous tourist spot. Since COVID, this place has changed a lot and now has many suspicious scam-like shops. Some shops seem to be run by non-Japanese and look like scams. It’s famous online, but… Honestly, I think tourists don’t need to come here anymore. Stores with too many fake food samples seem shady. If you want to eat expensive food, it’s better to go to a proper restaurant rather than here. If you come to Kyoto, be careful not to spend money at these bad shops. So, I came to the new Kura Sushi I had been curious about. This store is not a regular one but a new “plus-type store” model that was opened a few years ago. This is the first store of its kind. Right at the entrance, you select the number of people (multilingual available). The crisp and lively Japanese is amusing. LoL The interior is definitely different from a regular store. I look for my numbered seat. Here is my seat. Of course, I play the Kura Sushi fun game “Bikkura Pon.” If you pay extra, the chance to win increases, but this time I won’t cheat and will play as is. There are many menu items other than sushi. Menu. Prices seem slightly higher than regular stores. I could watch forever. The sushi I ordered has arrived. Scallop. Squid. Tuna. Scallops were discounted in a campaign. The scallops have no taste or texture. Honestly, I don’t know what I’m eating. The tuna is normally delicious. Oops. Squid is also delicious. Wasabi ritual. Sushi running above is super fast, like an F1 race. Today is the squid festival. Squid is tasty. Seared cheese salmon. This is delicious, too. The tastiest is the squid and okra roll. When you collect five plates, you insert them here to start the game. 😢 Oh no… If you win, the gacha capsule machine above dispenses a prize (probably). Hokkaido pacific saury. It’s fatty and delicious. But after all, it’s the squid and okra again. Added two more plates of squid and okra. Last try. 😢😢😢 No luck… You can also self-checkout. Amazing! It’s been a while since I’ve been to conveyor belt sushi, and I was surprised by how much it has evolved. This is so good, I’d like to review other conveyor belt sushi places too. There are only a few special stores like this one in Japan, so please visit if you’re nearby (map in the description). ★★★★☆ Back to the hotel for free beer time. Cheers! Nighttime Kawaramachi Street. There were quite a few people and it was lively that day. By the way, this hotel also has room with projector. If there’s a request, I’d like to stay in the room and review it, so please let me know in the comments! There should be a projector around here somewhere. Did you all have a good day? Good night.😴 Good morning.☀️ The lights I set yesterday turned on automatically, and I woke up. The bed also automatically rises little by little, so you won’t oversleep! This is wonderful. One downside is the bed was sagging, and my lower back hurt a bit. It might be just this room, but it’s probably aged over time. I’ll have breakfast on the 8th floor. It’s small portions like this, but you can freely choose and eat what’s available. Today’s harvest Corn soup, bread, yogurt, juice. After eating, wash the items you used and put them back in the box. This bread topped with cheese is the most delicious. Breakfast costs an additional 800 yen, so if you’re busy in the morning, you might want to reserve it. But there are many shops nearby, so if you want to find your own place or save money, skipping this breakfast is fine too. Coffee after the meal. Checkout time. Overall, this capsule hotel is very comfortable. It feels more like an evolved capsule hotel than a regular one. Its convenient location makes it easy to enjoy sightseeing and shopping. I recommend it for sightseeing in Kyoto. I’ve added links to videos of other hotels I stayed at in this area in the description for reference. Thank you for watching until the end. Controlling the light and AC with an iPod is a clever idea, I like it a lot.
And the numerated seats in the sushi place, wonderful. No need to run around and look for a free spot, you are just being assigned one. That's cool.
🐟This room is mixed-gender, but there are also women-only rooms.
此房間為男女混合,但另有女性專用房間。
