Not all sell for $3,000. In fact it's closer to $1,800 for the two best of the yearly harvest. They still sell at auction however they're always in a pair and just the best two mangos of the whole year's harvest. 2022 was the record at $500,000 for the pair JPY which was $1,895 each adjusted for exchange rate at the time.
