【小浜島】石垣島から30分の楽園|日帰りで巡る自転車旅モデルコース【八重山諸島巡り】
Hello everyone. We are Ryuuki and Akane, and we travel anywhere without a driver’s license. This time we’re visiting the quiet and tranquil Kohama Island, located in the center of the Yaeyama Islands. There’s an observation deck in the middle of the island, the straight Sugar Road, and a bright blue beach. It’s a leisurely bike ride around the stunning scenery. We hope it gives you some ideas for day trips from Ishigaki Island. So please read to the end. [Caption: This time we set off on a trip around the remote islands of the Yaeyama Islands, using Ishigaki Island as our base! ] [Caption: We used Anei Kanko’s “Island Hopping Pass.”] [Caption: This convenient, economical pass lets you freely visit any island you’re interested in without making a reservation in advance.] [Price: 3-day pass ¥6,800 (adult), ¥3,400 (child)] [Caption: This time, we visited Iriomote Island, Taketomi Island, Kuroshima Island, and Kohama Island, thoroughly enjoying the spectacular scenery, culture, and cuisine of each island.] [Caption: Even though they’re all in the Yaeyama Islands, each island offers completely different scenery and experiences. It was truly amazing.] [Caption: In this series, we’ll be showcasing the charms of each island with plenty of video footage! Be sure to check out the videos of the other islands as well!] There was a fuel surcharge of ¥1,920 for the trip to Kohama Island. Yeah. It’s packed. Thank you. Platform 5. Today. Oh, but there’s no one in line. It’s probably seven minutes before departure, so everyone’s already in. Oh, the color of the ocean is so different. So different. I don’t want to be there. I don’t want to be there. Nice. This is my first time setting sail and seeing this lush green landscape. That’s Taketomi Island. This is Taketomi Island. Taketomi Island is really flat. It’s flat! [Caption: Kohama Island, known as the Tenbusu (navel) of the Yaeyama Islands, is about a 30-minute ferry ride from Ishigaki Island.] [Caption: With a population of about 700, the island still retains a strong sense of nature and traditional scenery.] [Caption: A spectacular 360-degree view unfolds from Mount Ofudaki, the symbol of Kohama Island.] [Caption: Cycling along the approximately 1-kilometer-long Sugar Road.] [Caption: This island, also known as the setting for the NHK drama series “Chura-san,” is a relaxing paradise where time flows slowly.] First, rent a bicycle. Turn right on the road in front of you, then go a little further and take the first right. For some reason, I often pass this place by, so be careful. When you see the sugar factory, turn right and climb the hill just before it to reach Mount Ofudaki Observatory. You can’t get in, so if you go through the rotary on the left and head down towards the sea, you can cycle right up to the coast. Let’s go. Wow, that’s amazing. This is the best. Wow, you have no problem. You’ve really grown up on Iriomote Island. You’ve been blown away by the sandy beaches of Taketomi and the rain of Kuroshima. Wouldn’t that be a wonderful way to end it all? It feels great. And, if you go straight, you’ll come across the observation deck. Oh, really? Wow, that’s so cool. This is it. Island cycling just makes you smile. Yeah. Is that it? Right, the observation deck mountain. Oh, I think it was 99m? I’m pretty sure it’s the elevation. That’s where the doctor helicopter stops. There’s no hospital on the island after all. Yeah, it’s tough. Wow, what is it? It’s beautiful. Is it over there? It’s the Ufudaki Observatory Toro. Nice. What? The one in the botanical garden with a pa I’ve never seen before. Yeah. It’s quite a steep staircase from here. Shrine stairs, huh. I’m behind. I’m behind. I’m behind. It gets a little easier once I can see the finish line. Final sprint. Wow, grass. It’s amazing how many people are walking. Right? Oh. No, this is amazing. Wow. Beautiful. Beautiful. I’m really glad this happened today. Really. Ah. Oh, it was beautiful. It’s fast. Yeah. The descent is easy. Fast. Feels good. It’s cool, so it’s not bad at all. It’s good. Yeah. I don’t feel like that at all. Just be careful and enjoy. Ah, it’s cool. The breeze is so nice. Wow, it’s amazing. This is amazing. Feels good. Um, it’s nice to see the ocean right up ahead. That’s nice, isn’t it? We’ll turn here. Yes. Amazing. We went that high up. Right? It was a surprising climb. Yeah. Wow. This side is beautiful too. It’s beautiful. Wow, amazing. So peaceful. No, beautiful. Is this the place? I wonder if it turns. This is the sea, right? This is the sea, right? Ah, the Haimurubushi Hotel. It used to be a coffee shop here. I see. Wow, beautiful. They stopped because the hotel was closing. So that’s what happened. Are you okay? I’m glad you didn’t fall over. I was in a ditch and thought it was dangerous, but then my tire got stuck here. Ah, that was scary. That seemed like a nice hotel. Hello. Hello. Hello. Wow, the White House. It’s the White House. Oh, is no one stopping here? No one is. Hello. Hello. Yeah , it’s amazing. Oh, there are normal people living here. Ah, so it’s become like this. Wow, the sea is a shocking color. Yes. Oh, it’s closed. Marine House and Bar. I wonder if it’s open in the summer? Right. Ahh. Ah. There’s that little one from before. Hoppe-chan. Yeah. It’s nice. This is exciting. This is nice. A nice white sand beach. Wow. Wow, it’s nice. It’s beautiful. Huh, are you okay? Shoes. It feels this nice. Well, it makes you want to get in. Yeah. It’s ursa. The ursa looks delicious. There are lots of ursa. The seawater check was almost sweet. You shouldn’t eat ursa because it was yesterday. It’s calm everywhere. Yeah. It’s pretty sweet. It seems like the sand doesn’t sink that much either. Ah, it feels good. Okay. It’s pretty cold. Oh, really? Watch out for your leg hair. Should I go in? This feels nice. The sand is completely different too. Yeah. It’s coral after all. Yeah. We could enjoy it forever, but we don’t have much time. Right? But you know, you’re probably going to fall asleep. It’s too late at 11 o’clock. Guess not. Well, let’s extend the train. It looks like a relaxing place. You live there, don’t you? But that’s not all. This is Nishihama, but the kanji for “north” is written as “north .” What does that mean? It has a “northern entrance.” Oh, that’s right. It’s written “north” but pronounced “west.” West is “in” because the sun sets in, right? Ah, I see. And east is “agaru.” Because fire rises. Wow, it’s beautiful. Someone must be maintaining it. It says “Thank you for being a scary child.” Oh, this is a cafe. Ah, that’s right. They used to have one here. Yeah, I wanted to go. I guess it’s because the hotel is closing. That’s what it means. Wow, it looks nice. You sleep so well. But your super beautiful face makes me sad. It’s true. Is that over there? Go there. The place they said you could see Iriomote Island. That’s right. Mangrove fringes. Mangrove fringes. Right. You can see Iriomote Island beautifully, too. This is it. I wanted to go there. Um, back to that, yeah. Sugar millet mushrooms. Are there any vipers? Maybe. There are no vipers. No Kohama Island? Yeah. Thankfully there’s a sign like this. We’re heading to Iriomote Island. This sign is the landmark. Wow, drop me off. That’s bad. The stairs are pretty much there. Like before. Yeah. Hello. Oh, so quick. What? It was over in an instant. Relief. Oh, it’s true. That’s right. Oh, that’s Iriomote Island. Yeah. The green is different. Is the one in front really different? Well, there are all these shells and crabs. Flying. Flying. The snakes are amazing too. Amazing. They’re aware of the ecosystem. Do they live there? They’re connected. The village starts around here. Yeah. Oh, it’s amazing. The atmosphere suddenly changes. Oh, there’s a person there. He’s kind of cute. Goyaman. A professional golfer. Goyaman. It feels like Goyaman. It looks like that everywhere, right? : That’s the traditional way of building houses. Yeah. It’s cool. There’s a gate here. Oh, there’s a sleeping kitty. So cool. Cafe Daikuya. Carpenter’s shop. Sebero. Maemoto. There’s also a post office. It’s a landmark. That’s true. Oh, the Post Office Maemoto Shoten. Ah, C Side. C Side is back and looks a bit like that. I’ll just go to C Side. That’s right. There’s a cafeteria. Oh, that’s true. It’s turned into an Italian restaurant, right? I thought so. What should I do? It’s cheap. Is this the school? Wow, you can see the ocean from the school. Wow, it’s true. Is it crowded? There’s no lunch menu. Drink, sweets, drink set, and sata andagi. That’s great, so a bit later. A bit later. Eat something. I need to find a place that serves lunch. That’s right. Carrots and lettuce. You can see the ocean from the classroom. Awesome. The elementary and junior high schools are in the same place. Come on. Wow, that’s nice. If you grow up here, they say persistence is power. Amazing. So relaxed. So true. What a good life. Yeah. Wow. But I guess this is normal. Izakaya. Oh, wow, so pretty. Oh, a cow. Well, a cow. Hello. Even the insects are relaxed. Amazing. That’s amazing. Oh, that feels good. That looks good. And which fries would you like? Salt. Salt. Oh, yes. Wow, that looks delicious. The rice looks delicious. That looks good. The location is great. Let’s change. Wow, amazing. Amazing cooking. I’m coming. Ugh. Delicious. Ugh. That’s amazing. What’s wrong? Eating mayonnaise. Wow, there’s a cat in there too. Yeah. Yeah. So true. Delicious. A super college-style gift. It’s made in a bucket. Nice. Refreshing. Yeah. That sweat feels good. Yeah. It’s delicious. I found a place like this. The bougainvillea is blooming, too. It’s a beach, so there’s a breeze. Ah, we’re already on Sugar Road. Oh, it’s a side road I just happened to come across. Wow, I can see it. It’s beautiful. Wow, Taketomi Island. Huh? Oh, no. What’s that? Iriomote Island. Iriomote Island. That’s Iriomote Island, right? Yeah. What’s that? Ah, it’s this island. Super flat. Ah, it’s beautiful. It’s quite recessed. It’s recessed. Yeah. Beautiful. This is the resort area. RISONARE Oh, please refrain from entering unless you’re staying at the resort. RISONARE doesn’t allow trespassing. There are a lot of them. This one is also pretty straight. It’s close, isn’t it? Yeah. It’s red soil. I’m intruding. Hello. There’s no need to go that far. That’s stupid. Yeah. Oh, the color of the sea is so intense. I have a scar. Oh, thank goodness. I almost got lost. That was close. Without it. Without it, Kohama Island wouldn’t have started. Ah, there was a manta ray. Can you see it yet? Doesn’t it look like it? It looks like it. That’s where we should head. Beautiful. The sea breeze is nice. Ah, Sakurai Coffee looks delicious. It’s closed. Wow, so lovely. Beautiful. Ah, it was a workshop. Wow. They have Obama-yaki. Oh. Oh. Amazing. It’s closed. What’s here too? We’ve arrived. Ah, there’s a toilet too. Where should I park my bike? Here. This looks good here. This looks like a parking lot. Yeah. Amazing. Wow, isn’t that a pretty view? Wow, nice. Wow. It doesn’t cast a shadow. Amazing how far back the badge is. Right? That’s Taketomi Island. Ah, Taketomi Island. It’s Taira after all. I could see it clearly from nearby. Oh, no. Ishigaki Island, Ishigaki Island. Hot springs, huh? But we went all the way around Ishigaki Island. It might be a little further away. You could see it from Ishigaki Island. Right. There was a place like this in Hawaii, right? Ah, it’s nice. Feels good. Oh, it’s nice . Fun. Fun. Sparkling. The sea. And then there’s coffee and Chura-san. That’s right. So we’ve pretty much completed the island. Well, I’d say it’s quite a place I’d like to go. Nice manta ray. Yeah. Nice. Like a yoga pose. That’s true. I want to see its beautiful face. Yes, I got to see the manta ray’s face. Yeah. It feels good. Feels good. Oh, you’re right. It’s looking good. It’s looking good. Gohama. Gohama. Peach. Shoulder. Strained and yard. Wow, that’s nice. This is where they bake it. Hello. Hello. Can I take a look? Oh, is that a woodeye? Oh, there was a woodeye. There was a black one. Thank you very much. Oh, really. It has a beautiful brown color. Cute. Are you okay? Oh, it’s making me hungry. Wow. Oops. Oh, she looks happy. Beautiful eyes. I’m happy. Cute. This white. I think there’s a white matte type, but this is the 3-cut, number 3 cut. And finally, this slightly ringy one. This is the spring stone that was an undersea volcano two years ago. Oh, right. So it’s wonderful that they’re working with Okinawa, Ishigaki, and Taketomi to see if they can use something that has washed up in the sea. It’s wonderful. It’s right there. Oh, he’s crazy. You can really use anything with this stuff, right? That’s right. Make it into cheese. Yeah. It’s light. This is good. It would also go well with coffee. It looks cool. So I had this. Oh, that one. I’m happy that I chose something I made just because I felt like it. Really? Seriously, but there’s nothing else like this yet. Right. I’m certainly happy. It was a good first time. This was all I had with that money, thank you. Good luck, dance club. Good luck, dance club. My sister’s going to Tokyo next, then. Really. Oh, that’s tapioca. Tapioca tapioca. It’s tapioca tapioca. Oh, sorry. I said it was just coins, just coins. Nice to meet you. So cute. No, I got a nice purchase. That’s great. Let’s go. Nice. So cute. You look really happy. Thank you for lunch. Oh, a customer is coming. The next customer is coming. Sorry. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Ah, it’s hot. Feels good. The breeze is nice. Yeah. I made an unexpected purchase. Yay. This map. This is seriously the best part. This kind of thing is just so much fun. Hey, let’s not go too far since it’s a garden. They’re taking wedding photos too. Amazing. But it’s cute. Go straight from here, yeah. You’ll reach the village. Oh, the one we were just at. yeah. A vending machine. Oh, and they’re selling it, properly. Amazing. It’s not that expensive. 140 yen. The map said it was a vending machine. Oh, really. Wow, there are so many goats. Delicious. Delicious. Huh? Isn’t that right? There are so many. Beautiful. Everyone’s eating and relaxing. Their tails are standing up. yeah. Oh, that’s nice. Shaved ice or yeah, a break . Nice. Looks cold. Yogurt. Yogurt. Sauce. Yogurt. Yogurt is real. Delicious. So delicious. Is it interesting? This room. Tortoro ice cream. It’s become . Yeah. Amazing. Can you see it for free before? Oh, I got in. Wow, that’s difficult. I saw where it is through this hole. I see. There’s only a little bit of sugarcane. It’s Sugar Road though. Yeah. Thank you, last resort, Rajira. We made it. The first leg of Pin’s journey is over. Thank you. It seemed like it. It cleared up at the end. Yeah. Let’s get off then. All that’s left is the island with Thelma. Well, Thelma, you want to stay overnight, because she wants to go. Thank you. I’ve been there. I want to stay on other islands too. I definitely want to relax, and see the sunrise and sunset. That’s right. It’s expanding. What did you think? Kohama Island was a wonderful day, fitting for the end of our Yaeyama trip. Since it was all a day trip, I also made a video exploring the gourmet food of Ishigaki Island. On Ishigaki Island, I encountered many delicious restaurants and warm-hearted people. I would be happy if you could also watch videos from other islands. Please subscribe to the channel, rate it highly, and support me with comments. See you on the next trip. I’m glad you had more fun.

こんにちは~
あかねさん日焼け特に肩大丈夫でしたか?
チョット心配になりました。
毎日フルに観光してお疲れ様です。
楽しい八重山離島旅でした。
ありがとうございました。
CANAAN COFFEE & HOTEL
