The Most Dangerous & Ambush-Area During Abusayaf Crisis

[Music] I don’t know how I will feel now because this will prove that this was a stronghold of abusers before. Read it folks. Located ASG Abusayap Group. I know this sulu will be wrapped in fear and chaos for a long time. That’s why in this episode I will show you the real conditions in the former place where the bandits were fortifying. Let’s cross that malaya. This is Malaya’s first crossing here. So fit fit fit. I didn’t think malaya would fit in here. Now that he is fit, our challenge will be the crossing. [Music] this is it guys. We are about to enter the hall where we opened it. This is the palace of the flower, folks. They had their own flag in 1791. It was almost 100 years before the Philippine flag was raised. The sulu now has its own flag and this is the proof. Are you excited? Because we’re not just going to ride motorbikes in remote places, but I’ll also prove to you that it’s safe to explore any corner of Sulu. [Music] After that, let’s go to the torch-like place where you can buy pendants that you put on your head. We motored back here to the part of the patikul sulu for the cloths that the tausog use on important occasions. And ah, from here we probably drove for more than an hour because I will show you something here in the municipality of Patikul that will make you say and you will really realize that a lot has changed when it comes to peace and order here in their place here on earth. So come join me. we have something to show and we have something to go to. After about a few minutes from there at the very corner, we entered an alley and it’s the courtyard. It is very remote where the kalsa has pavement but there are mosses on the road and dried mud. It’s a bit dangerous especially for motorcyclists because the slip is no joke. Just proof that we’re a bit isolated. Look at what we are going through. The amount of dead leaves. It’s cement but there’s a lot of clutter. Let’s go back and forth. Aw. There is a tree. Looks like we’re going up. Boy, look at this. Let’s go oh I can’t see you on camera but I can’t see you on camera but it’s steep. That ‘s it. Hey, we’re climbing. You might think that the place we are in is just a flat. We’re going up here. A lot of wood, dry leaves, tree branches. Well, this is just the end of the road. So, end off road. We will leave our motorbikes here because you can see it. This is what it will look like because there is no road. Or we’re in the middle of nowhere. This is what we will go through. [Music] So from here on the broken road, we will leave our motorcycle. We are here in Barangay Darayan itself and we will walk. Here we are in the mountains. [Music] [Music] Oh yeah. What are the nests of these aboaps? Yes. But now it’s peaceful. It’s peaceful. Yes. Here we are the nests of these lifemenilifs now gone. The people are on their side. Yes. The people are on their side. [Music] [Music] You must have heard that we are walking 10 years ago here in the part of Patikuloo, none of the residents go there because it is a nest of abusers. Back then no one came here because it was actually part of the critical area. Here we are nests of former ESGs. Even though we are from here, we rarely come here because sometimes we are also afraid of them because it depends on when they suspend you that you are here often, sometimes they say that you might be an intel. [Music] This is just one of the trees we pass that is unusual. I mean really big. Look how big it is. There, the road is wide because this tree has been too long. And because it was a nest of birds, almost no one tried to come here. So this is one of the many reasons or millions of reasons that will prove that the torch has gone much further than before. I have no idea where we will end up. It feels like we are in the middle of the hill and I can already hear the flowing water. Looks like we’re close. We need to go through. It is said that it is here because the river itself or the parts of the mountains are often placed because this is one of the sources they can get or water source they can get to drink. We are halfway there but we still have to go through it. This dense forest to give you an idea. There are many fallen bamboos here. Just imagine it nested before. It used to be nested by birds of prey. It’s terrible. Oh. Right here in this part, the rushing water is getting stronger and stronger, but we will go down here now. Look how complicated it is. Hey hey we need um what do we need. We have to wade from above, there are rivers we will cross. [Music] I can see the waterfall but I don’t know if I can touch it. Let’s go down . These are the looks of what we will go through. Maybe we can find a good stone. It’s very hard that we will pass through in the end. After about an hour of walking. This is what is called cheating fools. [Music] Sir, this is it. This is what we call Darian Falls when the elders said that it reached the time of martial law, it is said that this is where one of the many soldiers who died jumping was probably being chased by their enemies from here. The water used to be strong because the previous day it was summer, so the water has dried up a bit. I think it’s just a little bit flowing here. It used to be deep cleaned. There aren’t any stones that are being cleaned here, maybe I used to wash them. It used to be deep. But now it has been neglected so the stones have increased. We’ve only been shallow here for around 20 years. It’s only the second time I’ve been here in what we call Busai or Darayan force. Sir, how does it feel to be back here after 20 years? Of course it’s fun. We see our places here. Like you, sir, who already see our places here. Of course we are happy because anytime we go here in our place there is no problem. No problem. We can go for a walk here. We can visit whenever we want. We are really happy that it is peaceful here in Paticol Solo. [Music] You saw what we went through before we arrived. This is what they call darayan fools and it’s not just ordinary fools because this is where we are located right in the forest and in the heart of Paticulsulo, this is the former nest of abusers but you can see how much I have changed in the past the very people from here rarely or never come to the very place where we are located this is one of the proofs that even we ourselves who are not from here on this very land can explore what we don’t anymore need to be afraid. Similarly, we have discovered something here in the falls. That is very beautiful. You can take a bath here and you see, there are many more places here in Sulo that are just waiting to be discovered if we really relive what happened here in the very place of Paticulo. It is said that there are many soldiers who fell while being chased by busayaps. from there at the top to here, we are so blessed because we arrived in the middle of the falls and if you don’t believe that this very place we are in is right here in the paticul called rayan fs, it used to be a nest and stronghold of abusers before when this sulu was full of spice and chaos, come on, come join me, maybe about 200 meters from the falls, I will show you something [Music] [Music] Look at what we saw here. It’s only a few hundred meters away from Darayan Falls itself. Look at what is written here. We just have to climb it. Alas, this is one of the things that will prove that it used to be fortified abuse I don’t know how I will feel now because you guys read this. Located ASG Abusayap Group. I don’t really understand what we feel either. We are glad that we are looking back on the troubles here in this very place. Actually it’s not the only one. There are still wads here, there are vans here, there are still here, look at Longhel Jumis. A lot. Then there are many names. And the names you see here are the names of former members of Abusayat. The names up to the bottom have almost been erased. There it is. [Music] There was a riot during the time of Ferdinand Marcos Senr. In 1975. Then there was what we call here in the Moro National Liberation Front the Trip Agreement from 1996 to 2015 2016 he was not as clean as the government talked about and then Muro National Liberation Front now when Duterte’s time came the ways that have been done to improve our area here especially here in Solo. The cleanliness and goodness that the NNs and the government have done has begun , especially here in Solo. The response to that was that these are our brothers who have been abused, the Moro National Liberation Front and the provincial government here in Solo have agreed that they can be brought down and then surrender them to the government so that the government will accept them properly when they come down so that the chaos here in Solo can be removed. What the governments did to Ausayat, they gave them a good opportunity, they gave them a good livelihood. And then these are our people because they thought that the government would not accept them when they came down. Well, now they know that when they came down, they came down one by one, one by one, others who were many were received properly, received thoroughly. The example that was given to the Abo Sayaap, they were given things like housing projects and then returned to the barangay and then returned to the interior. They can go home now. They have returned home to their places, to their towns of origin. So now it’s free, free abuayap, free gun and united because of what the military government did. Especially this ah iminelv po by the mercy of the God of Allah. There is no such thing as joy. It’s okay to have what we have here now. [Music] We are so happy that we have reached this one of the remote parts of Patikul that in the past even people from here did not go to the names that are engraved here on the stones that sometimes are only their nicknames, the call signs are not really their full names that they put here sometimes it is almost unreadable, sometimes the stones that are engraved here for a long time are actually covered with moss [Music] because we are so far from the community and those rocks here that are falling down as if there are falls too. There is a name or call sign that arouses our attention. Let’s go to it. I don’t know if you can read it, but it says asari abdo, it is believed to be the name of one of the Abusayap commanders. There are many things that will prove that not only here in Patikul but in the whole earth that we can really say that we have nothing to fear. In fact, it’s like this when we look at this very place that we are in when we go back 10 years ago, the bans here are fortifying it. But I see the potential to become a tourist destination. You see the rocks, the water falling. After we visit one of the strongholds of the Busayap down there in May Patikulo, we are here in the part of Talipao and we have something to go to. Maybe we will ride a motorcycle for less than 1 hour and we will visit one of the municipalities here in Sulu. So it doesn’t matter that this is the town of Talipao. It’s very simple. Let’s speed up a little bit because I have somewhere to go. Come join us. [Music] We have just entered the municipality of Panglima Estino. We just passed the town of Talipao. But look at their road here at the fifth Estino Tiges. Then in the middle there are solar lights. Free free. The road is clean. [Applause] [Music] And after about an hour and a half from there we passed the talipaw. Fifth istino luok. It looks like we are here where we are and where we are going to jump. This is part of Omar Solo. [Music] Mind you, this will be the most challenging thing we will do because from here to Omar itself, we will cross to the other island we are going to. The motorcycle can go. But the biggest challenge is that we have to take a boat. Then there is a flowing sea where the boat will pass . There is rent. It’s terrible. Oh my gosh. So we have to ‘ what do we do first’. We’re going to lower it because we’re going to spin it ‘ Okay, sir. How can this be? Don’t leave us back. Ah, but I can handle that. That’s why you wave at the camera. That’s just a matter of time . That’s right , let’s just go back. Go game. All right, let’s play. We are helping each other here with the torch. That’s good and fashionable. Himalayan is loaded kaya kaya kaya. Okay sing. B let’s cross that malaya this is malaya’s first crossing here we will support you break break so fit fit fit fit relax relax magaduarag slowly slowly I think malaya will fit here now because he has fit He will be our challenge to cross. Oh , wave. It’s okay. Apair air air woo fit fit fit fit game. And since we are already here in the boat itself, we now have to overcome the strong current of water. So we will ride each motorbike one by one. But because our motorcycle, the Himalayan 450, is a bit big and the one we’re going to pass has a strong scent, it’s only Php 50 for two. So what we’re going to do is enter the front of the butt so that later when we get there on the other side, we’ll just leave [Music] here, we’ll know because this is the first crossing of malaya. and I will land with the motorcycle but the sea current is strong there we are going there [Music] [Music] After almost no five minutes or so we have reached this Capwal Island. Now let’s take it down. 1 2 3 we will push now. That’s terrible. Go ahead country. Hul bansra ong pigaga. Or that’s it. Finally we come to Capual Island. [Music] So this will be the challenge. Actually I was really surprised. I was a little nervous but you managed to get the boat and we are here and we were able to motor around Capal Island. hello Or you see, when we meet here, the people from here on Caple Island immediately greet us with a smile . We have the torch and we are very welcome. So now from here we will start exploring. So maybe we will drive a few minutes away and I will show as much as I can what is the hidden paradise here in Capwal Island itself. [Applause] [Music] Right here on Capwal Island, there is cement and I can see White Beach. Looks like we’re going there. This is delicious. It feels good. It’s a good feeling that we can motor anywhere in the corner of the torch. It’s an island happening that we did with the motorbike. It is up to you to judge what is here in Sulu. What you see is what you get folks. It’s nice to ride here. That’s it. There is the mainland. We are here on Capwal Island. [Music] [Music] This is the beach area we are passing by . The sand will blow here. Because this is where there is Couple Island, this is what we should find. Actually I hate it. You will immediately notice that the sand here is white. The color is white. Look at what we are going through. Wow the place is beautiful that’s it. Bermuda Grass T’s are what we are going through. Ah it has a masjid here. We are entering a place here. This is bad. Wow! It’s nice to explore here. Let’s go inside. Boy, is there a way here? Oh no! Or that. I believe that difficult roads lead to a beautiful destination. Or with color. Oh boy, we’re dead here. We met someone so that you can have an idea in case you also visit here and take a road trip here on Kapual Island. Think about it. Our name Capo Island is true. It’s bad boy oh. It’s motoring. going through We are on the beach here and we are surrounded by coconut trees. Let’s just build it. Wow! Terrible! Wow! Look at the stones here. We just built it so we can have more control. Or more and more . Mud. That. We are here. Boy. That’s it. It’s muddy. What are we doing here? Whew. More mud. Hey color. Hey, very muddy. There are vegetables. This is the state. Wow! That’s muddy. Ah, but I’m sure that what we’re going to is worth it. hello There is a lot of road here. Hey, I’m so excited. Oh, there’s a liim portal. It’s funny. Wow! I can already see this . It looks like that’s it, folks. Look at it. Wow, the sand is clean. You would think that. Here on one of Solo’s islands in Capal Island. Wow! Let’s get closer. I will show you so you can have an idea. It’s terrible. Boom! It’s beautiful! The sand is white. [Music] Because we can’t stop not being able to paddle here at Sunny Sunny Beach at Kapwal Island, we’re going to take a bath. You see, we just switched and look at the sand so that you can have an idea so that you can focus more. It’s terrible. Wow! Is it really white? Oh what a paradise we found again . You think the sand is very beautiful. refined The sea is clean . There are tall coconut trees and then you can take a bath. There is no fee. You will only pay for the cottages if you take them. Php300 if I’m not mistaken but there is no charge when you take a bath. [Music] You saw the baloy being made in the field where we went. This is the This is the pandan. Pandan tree. Or that oh. That’s it. Terrible. This is exactly it. We found an actual counterpart. It’s not that easy because he has thorns . [Music] If you’re thinking that our adventure from there to Omar’s place is over, let’s go back here to Maimong Sulo’s place. Look at this look of their Boulevard. This is their food park. [Music] [Music] Ja. Oh, it’s fun. Then let’s just pass that golden moss. This is the golden moss here with Maimong Sulo. Wow! Oh, does it feel good? We are back again. We will just pass this Golden Mus. Look at it. wow [Music] And since we are here in the very rich Sulu, we have a place to go because if I am not mistaken for more than 600 years, this very land or province of Sulu already has sultans. And if I am not mistaken, there are no Spaniards here in our country, here in the Philippines, there is already a sultanate here on earth or here in Sulu. And that’s where we’re going. You heard it right . What we are going to now is the sultan’s house here in Maimbong Sulo. Oh that’s it folks. We are approaching. Wow! And that’s it, folks. This is what is called astana. [Music] Or what we are most looking forward to because after all we are here on earth, we had the chance and opportunity to see up close and we will be able to enter the Astana Darul Jambangan or what is called palas of the flower here in Maybongo. So thank you very much Congressman Samtan for the opportunity you gave us and we can show how beautiful this palace is. Oh that’s it folks. We are about to enter the hall where we opened it. This is it palace of the flower kapots. Look how beautiful it is. [Music] So out of respect for the very place we are in, let’s get dirty because our shoes will get dirty. That’s it. Let’s take a peek inside because we really had a chance to see this palace. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. Arwel Jambangan located at Municipality of Maimbung. [Music] The Sultan Sulo started at 14:05. The first sultan was Sultan Shariful Hasim also known as Said Abu Bakar. The sultan solo or the solo consists of many provinces now. The solo is Zamboanga Peninsula. Basilan, Holo Province. This is Holo Province including Tawi-Tawi because Tawi-Tawi is not bad. There was only one Palawan and then North Borneo Saba. That’s the torch. [Music] I’m the 35th. Meaning we are more advanced because the Philippine government only had a Philippine government in 1946. The Ast was done in the main on the 18th of 1895 when my grandfather Sultan Jamaluk Kiram was crowned because the astanas were there in Buansa in Likop Indanan now called Likop Adam but the name is actually Likop Indanan because there is water there where the sultan bathes as if he was a Likop, several generations of Sultans have lived in Astala itself. Just him and then his brother and my grandfather Sultan Ismail. There are three of them or there are three people waiting there. The first one was the astana that Gob built as a replica in 1932, it was destroyed and here near the tomb, isn’t there a tb of suans here on the other side, there is a small astana there, not close to each other but not far apart. It’s just close because it’s dilapilated. It was destroyed by the typhoon in 1932. The original astana in Indanan and then transferred to Mimbong. The astana seat of the Sultan’s government. Astana is the sultan’s house or official residence. Jambangan flower is why the palace garden is called that. He used to have flowers in different towns and countries, there are in Europe, there are in China because they have trade relations, the sultanitulo has diplomatic relations with Europe as well, especially with China and then there was no Saudi Arabia among the Ottoman Empires at that time in Hijas, which is called salaki, the size is correct. But at least it’s there already. I saw the symbol of the Sultan that awakened the memory of the people. The favorite part is just here at the gate because that art is old, what is that cement? There isn’t even anything inside. But they are good at molding because the concept was made there by engineers from China who were their architects then. So that ‘s always my favorite spot in that AR. [Music] The one at that gate, the one in the original arc where the Sultan’s security guards are on standby. his soldiers if there is a request for an appointment for example his appointment to meet with the sultan before he enters give him a reminder he said don’t speak liars inside because it’s like a masjid it’s like a masjid a place of worship the one at the bottom there is the cadillac of the sultan there are his limousines because back then we had what kind of cars back then right there right at that exact location there is the astana there is also the ruin I remember in the astana That is made of concrete cement but no iron. Second is the second floor tiles, but the tiles are heavy, like the hasaan, the smeral, and then the whole thing is very hard wood. The elders said he said if it’s not too much, it’s just hardwood. But his roofings are from China. If you see that, it looks like a courtis. It’s like you entered the court too. There is only one room downstairs. there is the official ah room for the sultan. And then the one on that third floor is where he meditates, prays. [Music] [Music] What will be the role of Astana Rulambangan sa Sulo when it is opened in the palace or to the public? First of all, big impact on tourism. Not just in the torch, but nationally. at least the whole world can see that there is one The central government cares about the monarchy in Sulo. The oldest monarchy. To all those who want to come here in Sulu, you are welcome here in Sulu and you can also come here to me anytime. As long as you are welcome. Safe of s. [Music] So we are here in the very hallway entering Astana the Rul Jambangan. We have found out something because if I am not mistaken, the flag of the Philippines was made in 1897 and waved on June 12, 1898. But this is what we discovered since the 14th century that this Sulu has had its roots . I will show you for the first time the flag of the Sultanate of Sulu. Look at what it looks like. They had their own flag in 1791. It was almost 100 years before the Philippine flag was raised. The torch now has its own flag. And this is the proof. [Music] There is also a flag for solo sulan that has five stars because those five stars consist of holo holo island including tawi-tawi basilan sabuanga peninsula Palawan and then before we go to the sultan’s room there are two rooms here where we found out that this is the room of the sultan’s wives. Look it’s very simple. This is a room. If you look closely, their room is very plain. It has a praying mat, a bed and a very simple bed. After I showed you the rooms, this is their dining area. Terrible. wow Look it’s very simple. [Music] Now this is the sultan’s room. But before we go in, here is the kukuku or their weapon. That’s antique. But let’s enter the room. I’m showing you the room. of the sultan [Music] it is a great honor for us to enter and have the opportunity to be in the sultan’s own room. And it’s very simple, very simple. There are bells here or the arrow for us. Then there’s a bug here that we saw. Let me show you that the room inside the sultan’s room is unusual. Because when you look closely at the baloy itself, we know that it is difficult to make a baloy, but the baloy right here inside the sultan’s room is his design, it is the one that will blow your mind. Look at that. [Music] Look at how complicated the very core is. You are fit for the kings. Very beautiful. [Music] May I have given you a good reason not to fear this province of Sulu in the journeys I have shown from the beginning to the end, Omar, Panamao, Indanan, Patikul to the sultan’s palace. You really have many reasons to visit their place. Is what I showed you and we explained why I said the sulu is safe? We all know that sulu has not had a good past but that doesn’t mean it can’t change. And let’s never discriminate against Muslim areas. They are one of the most genuine and kind people I have ever met. And they also have one of the richest cultures and traditions. Like me, like you, they are Filipinos like us. So our only desire should be to have peace. Remember what I’m going to say. Admit it, yes, it won’t be a popular tourist destination one day. And I am one of those who believe that. [Music] هي [Music] [Music] again
