横浜 若葉台団地と帷子川源流 祈りの始まりに触れる散歩｜Japan Yokohama 4K Walking Tour 2025

Return the rental bicycle at Lawson Kan 4 Nagatsutamachi store. Let’s start walking from here. I was walking behind the Hungry Tiger Wakabadai store and there was a huge amount of oily smoke. Just across the road, we are already in Asahi Ward. I had always imagined Asahi Ward to be around Futamatagawa, but this area is like that too. The first leg of today’s journey is quite mundane. This area is Wakabadai. It seems there is a fireworks festival every year. I think what I can see is Wakabadai housing complex. Seisa High School is ranked 332nd out of 335 high schools in Kanagawa Prefecture. We have arrived. This is the source of the Katabira River. It’s the river that flows in front of Yokohama Station. Let’s go down. I can’t stay still because I’m being attacked by swarms of mosquitoes. This spring water seems to be the source of the Katabira River. The mosquitoes are pretty bad here. Immediate departure Further on there is a water-friendly route, but from upstream it is a sewer. There are benches, but the mosquitoes are terrible and it’s impossible to sit on them. 横浜の北の外れを歩きながら、暮らしの気配と川の始まりに触れていく、幹線道路の喧騒を背にすると、田畑が広がり団地の窓明かりが見えて、油煙の匂いが漂う街の裏手を抜け、気づけば旭区に入っていた、やがて現れたのは帷子川の源流、横浜駅前を流れるあの川が、この小さな湧き水から始まることに驚かされる、蚊の群れに追われ腰を落ち着けることはできないが、滴り落ちる水の音が町を支えてきた歴史を想わせ、川沿いには老人ホームや学校が並び、人の営みと自然の流れが重なり合っているのが見えてくる、親水ルートを進めば澄んだ水もやがて濁りを帯び、生活と自然の境目がそのまま映し出されているようだ、観光地としての華やかさはないが、足音に重なるのは日常の響きと祈りの気配であり、歩くことでしか触れられない町の本当の姿が浮かび上がる、この映像はそんな交錯の中に佇む時間を切り取り、画面越しに一歩ずつ寄り添えるような旅の記録となるだろう。
