The town was quickly built to house workers and their families and it became one of the first planned communities in Alberta. Today, Devon is a peaceful place surrounded by beautiful river valley views, parks, and trails. It’s known for its clean streets, quiet neighborhoods, and easy access to nature. The nearby Deonian Botanic Garden and the River Valley Trails are popular spots for walking, picnicking, and enjoying the outdoors. Devon has kept its small town charm while being close enough to Edmonton for city conveniences.
