【🇱🇦ルアンパバーン観光】感動の連続!世界遺産の街を有名観光地から超穴場観光スポットまでレンタルバイクで色々巡ってみました。
Hello everyone. I’m a bargain-loving train enthusiast. This time, I’ll be introducing the World Heritage town of Lua Prabang in Laos. I’ll be exploring some of the tourist spots you’ll see on tours and some you won’t. Renting a motorbike allows you to explore various places at 1/10 the cost . I’ll also introduce some great money exchange methods, so please read to the end. Here you go. The one-way trip to Lua Prabang costs 14,580 yen. The seat pitch is a bit cramped, but it’s a 90-minute flight, so I think it’s bearable. First, you get your immigration card like this. Yeah. I don’t really get it, but it feels nice. It’s a short walk, but there’s a bank right in front of the building, and it seems like you ‘ll be detained there. Now, I’ll explain the Lao kip (Lao kip) in Laos. The Lao kip is vulnerable to inflation and exchange rates and has low reliability, so I’m interested in the more stable currency, the Thai baht. [Music] Therefore, it is worth 4.5 times the value of two Japanese yen. There are no foreign exchange offices in the city, so cash advances are very convenient and easy to use. I’ve arrived at Ban Phan Hai Airport in Laos. In the peaceful and tranquil city of Eridan , Laos , there are no Grab or Uber services. Instead, we use a dentist app called Roka. It ‘s intuitive to use. First, press the taxi button and enter your destination. You can register your credit card, so cash isn’t necessary. [Music] I’m leaving for the hotel. The hotel I’m staying at this time is Soutikorn Place House [Music], 5,000 yen for 3 nights and 4 days. It has very good reviews, so I highly recommend it. Apparently, this is where I’ll be staying tonight. It seems to be quite far away. [Music] But it’s right in the city center. The staff there are all kind and polite, and Chinami is like this. It has a first and second floor, and it feels like a typical Jupiter-style building . My room is on the first floor. Reviews say that if the air conditioning doesn’t work, it works like this, but it’s fine. The room is a little dark, but it’s perfectly fine. It even has a hair dryer, a safe, a refrigerator, a mirror, and a toilet like this, so it’s totally fine. For a three-night stay for just over 5,000 yen, I think it’s perfectly fine. I just realized, you can use the Japanese outlets here. First, let’s go to Phousi Hill, famous for its night view. It’s mid-June now. It’s insanely hot in Laos. It’s a little dangerous. It’s okay if you’re in the shade, though. It’s about a 24-minute walk. It’s a nice stroll. It’s right in the middle of the city. It’s easy to move around. It’s a bit nostalgic, somehow. It has a rural vibe. There are a ton of Chinese tourists and other tourists here because of the ban. It seems like they’re going up from here. The toilet is over there. Everyone’s going the other way. The admission fee is 30,000 kip. Come on, let’s go. That’s a big one. Just climbing up here is a whole different kind of thrill. I climbed to the top, and all the roofs are the same color. Wow, it’s so beautiful. There’s something like this at the top. The view is amazing. [Applause] [Music] Now, let’s go to the night market. We’ve come across this amazing night market. They sell all kinds of things. I wonder how far it goes? The buildings are so beautiful. Google Maps in Laos is a bit unreliable. All the shops that say they’re open aren’t open. It looks like there’s a restaurant along the river that serves delicious food while watching the sunset at Menger, so I’ll check it out. There are so many different restaurants along the river, so it’s a good idea to have a variety to choose from. I came here because I found a really beautiful restaurant with a view of the riverside. It’s amazing. [Music] It’s so beautiful. Wow, this is amazing. [Music] It’s like this. And best of all, it’s cheap. It’s only about 200 yen per bottle. That’s cheap. Let’s toast to Nekogawa. Our food has arrived. I ordered something resembling gapao rice, but it’s a little different. Yeah. It’s good. Oh, yeah. Delicious. Spices, huh? This one really does have a kick. Amazing. There are lanterns and it’s really beautiful. The neighborhood is also very safe. It’s completely fine to wander around aimlessly. First of all, the building is incredibly beautiful, yet quiet and the atmosphere is fantastic. I bought two beers and a bottle of coke, which came to about 300 yen. It’s a nice hotel. It has a homey feel to it, with kids playing downstairs like this . Goodnight. The menu looks like this. Everything looks delicious. Actually, it looks really delicious. It’s already a blessing for this morning. Today, I’d like to rent a motorbike and head to the waterfall to the south . There’s a motorbike rental shop like this about five minutes from the hotel , so let’s rent a motorbike there. Here’s how to rent a motorbike. At motorcycle rental shops overseas , you’ll need to deposit your passport. The average price is $10 per litre (roughly 1,500 yen) . Honestly, as long as you understand the language, it’s fine. People there will understand . They offer medium-sized scooters and helmets. Only 125cc or larger motorbikes are available, not 50cc. International driver’s licenses are not required. You can still rent without a license. Depositing your passport as collateral is required. Don’t worry, we’ll definitely get you back. Many of the bikes are scratched , so be sure to take a video to protect your safety. The gas is almost empty, so please fill up immediately. There’s no need to return the bike with a full tank. The gas station is just to the right of the rental shop. They’ll fill up the tank for you, even with Google Translate, so it’s easy. I filled up the tank, and it was about 75,000 yen . They’ll fill it up for you if you ask. Anyway, I rented a nice bike, so I’d like to spend a bit more time with it. The lines in Laos are reversed. I went all out from the start. I want to highlight the famous winds first. It seems like they ‘re not available in many places anymore. It’s so beautiful. Let’s go to a place where the road hasn’t been repaired at all . This is no good. I’m taking a break at a roadside shop. You can buy drinks here. There are a lot of people here . This is the entrance, and everyone rides their motorbikes here , paying 5,000 yen for tickets. They sell clothes too. That’s how it is. Foreigners get 6 tickets , and Laotians get 2 tickets. The prices are a bit different. Well, it’s only 6 tickets, so it’s not that expensive. You buy a ticket, and then an electric golf cart-like thing comes along, and you head out. This area has become quite touristy. Right here. Let’s go. It looks like non-smoking. It might be better to go around like this and go in somewhere. It looks like there’s a bear. However, there’s no one here at this time of day. For now, I’ll start by going down from the top. [Applause] Wow, amazing. It’s amazing. It’s beautiful from here on out, so we’re catching lots of them. Wow, it’s amazing. All the trainees are here too. Wow, it’s amazing. It’s so beautiful. Look below too. There are already lots of little fish. It looks like there’s something above here too. Let’s go. I came here casually, but, uh, I’m climbing this. Don’t underestimate this. It’s quite difficult. This is a bit dangerous. Yeah. Everyone in the previous training level is tired too. It’s really best not to come here casually. W-What was I thinking ? How far does this go? I’ve finally reached the top. I wonder what’s above me. I’m seriously exhausted. If you buy 30,000 kip here, it seems like a coffee is included. I’d like to go up there a bit. Apparently the view is really nice . Wow, it looks like there’s a hammock or something. Wow, it’s amazing. It’s totally like a Donkey Kong stage. I’m walking down the stairs like this, waaaah. I read somewhere that a review said it came with a cup of coffee [music], but that’s a lie. Um, coffee is separate. Yes, 48,000 yen ticket. Wow, what an amazing view. Yes, the view is really good. But there’s also a swing that costs extra . I wonder if you can swim here? No one’s swimming. Oh, there are some people climbing. This is amazing. But there are a lot of activities. There are people climbing up, though. Not many people come down from here. On the contrary, everyone often comes up this way. It’s so amazing, everyone. This is really mountain climbing. Oh, it was good. I started from the road stairs. No, this is tiring. This was crazy. It’s pretty amazing to think that bamboo like this is floating down from the very top. No, it ‘s true that I probably wouldn’t say this place. It seems like there are places you can swim and places you can’t. I wondered where I could swim, and it was quite close to the fire current. It looks like you can swim. Well, I came in my swimsuit, so I’ll try swimming here. Tomorrow’s going to be pretty rocky here. It’s cold, but it feels really good. I was already sweating just a moment ago, so this feels really good. It feels good. Oh, this is a little deep. Wow. There are fish, and they’re really tiring. Oh, it feels good. [Music] is on. Wow. They’re really coming. The fish, the fish, they’re coming like crazy. Ouch. No, this [music] felt really good. If you come, please go and swim. It’s really great, really. Amazing. Wow, it was fun. I’m a little hungry, so I’d like to grab a bite to eat. It looks like you can get on the cart at the entrance and go home. Definitely worth a visit. This is my last stop. As you’d expect in Southeast Asia, the rain was pretty intense. I ordered some food here, so I thought I’d take a break and relax. I casually walked into this restaurant at the entrance. This dish, which was like a gapao rice, was absolutely delicious. What’s so good about it? It’s amazing. It was a feast. Well, this restaurant at the entrance, I casually walked in, but it was delicious. Next, I’d like to go to Namdong Park. It’s about an hour’s walk from Kuang Si Waterfall. We stopped at this restaurant, and since it was raining so hard, we took a break and relaxed a little, which is a fun, Asian experience. Look, there are cows bathing. This kind of bath continues for about 10km. It’s crazy. It’s not like that, really. This is just like this, it’s really stopped. And, it’s amazing. Look a little more. This is all of it. It’s not a day like this on the road. I took about 20 minutes to come all the way here, and it’s a bit boring. I came here because there was a famous waterfall, but the bamboo is just a playground. This place is amazing, too. Ah, this isn’t a local waterfall. I came here because there was another famous waterfall. [Applause] Next, I heard there’s a place called Shinzaki, so I’d like to cool off on that side. There seems to be something called Sonoma on this side. I can really smell something fishy, but I’ll go for it. Look at the off-road road. This beauty is so beautiful it’s not like a wave. Seriously. It’s just a gravel road. It’s just too amazing. What a beautiful view. Ah, it really makes you realize that you’re in the middle of the world. Wow , this view is amazing. Seriously, what’s this? The road is so narrow, I only have about 900 meters left, but it’s getting a little dangerous, so I think I should turn back. This is really dangerous. But the scenery along the way is so beautiful, so it might be a good idea to get some sun. I got stuck in the Doraemon swamp. Look at my shoes here. Even though I was stuck in this, my bike was in danger, but by pure chance, a local person stepped in and helped me . However, that place is really in the mountains, and it’s a mystery why anyone even went there . Seriously, I think you should n’t go there. It’s dangerous. This place is really, really, really miraculous. That was dangerous. Seriously, really dangerous. [Music] I tripped on my bike and it broke. A kind Laotian person helped me out. I couldn’t speak the language, but they called someone from this company . They asked me to wait for about 20 minutes. No, they really helped me. Today was the worst, but today, today, today is a really amazing day. My bike is really breaking down. I’m going to some really weird places. It’s dangerous. I’ve already hurt my legs and stuff, this is the worst. They said they’ll pack up the car and take it to a bike shop. That’s really helpful. [Music] What a nice guy. That miracle really happened. A local person in Laos helped me out and my bike broke down a little. Oh my gosh. He’s carrying it right now. What a nice guy. It’s unbelievable, seriously. Seriously. [Music] [Music] [Music] Let’s go get something to eat today. We had some trouble so we haven’t eaten anything yet, and we’re not sure what to do. The night market is really busy, isn’t it? [Music] I bought a few things with my 45,000 yen ticket. This one is amazing , so I think I’ll buy this statue. It’s joining our family. Well, 30,000 yen is 200 yen, and 40,000 yen is 260 yen, so it’s about 2,500 yen. Very cheap. Let’s eat. It’s so delicious. Yeah. It’s delicious. Yeah, this is really delicious. They really have an all-you-can-choose-your-own-skewers option. I bought these gyoza . This is 25,000 yen. I guess it’s around 150 yen . I’ll just try a little. There’s something fishy inside. It feels a bit strange when you eat it like gyoza. But it’s really delicious. They sell takoyaki and takoyaki. Oh, Japan is cheap. Wow. I bought some Konatsu juice. It was 35,000 yen. It was about 2,300 yen. It’s really cheap, Laos is a mountainous country after all. There was also some seafood like shrimp, crab, and oysters, so I wonder if that’s okay? They look delicious. Let’s eat. It’s delicious. It looks just as tasty as I imagined. Wow , this is so delicious. I had so much fun. Today was a really eventful day. Well, I’ll finish off by going to a bar for a few drinks before heading home. This place has a really nice feel. You can sit in the back and smoke. It’s really nice. Today, first I’ll go around this market, and then, while sightseeing in the city, I’ll go a little further up and there’s a place with lots of Zo-san, so I’ll stop there to buy a motorbike. [Music] Yesterday’s place is a bit awkward, so there’s a cheaper place next to it , so I’ll go there and then head home. The procedure is also very easy, so it’s very convenient. This time, the place I stayed didn’t have a mobile phone holder. There was one yesterday, but I went to the hotel and installed one. There’s something called number 1. It’s written here. So, you pay the man at the reception desk and then you’re on your way. They sell rice and all kinds of local foods. Let’s take a look around. It’s huge. They sell sandals like these and all kinds of other things. It’s a total Aeon. It’s so big, it’s like the Aeon in Laos, you can’t tell the entrances and exits. We’re driving through some amazing places. This is scary. This guy must be a really good driver. I’m driving safely today, going about 30-40km/h, but sure enough, the road was bumpy. It’s really happened again. It’s so scary. The wind really hits you like this. Because it is, really. This is what they’re doing. Before we got here, it was so bad, the roads weren’t like this anymore. No matter how you look at it, it’s just too crazy . There are a lot of these bumps, so please be careful. We arrived, but how do we get to the cave? Seriously, how do we get to the cave? That’s a complete mystery to me. Hey, for 25,000 yen, yeah, I buy a ticket and get on this, this, this. Oh , sorry. It looks like we’re going to take this. It’s hot. It’s really shining here. Yeah. My mother can use it in Laos too, but it’s a bit limited in places , so it’s probably more convenient to have an Ishim. I don’t know. Oh. So this is how you get there. It looks like we’re going to take this. It looks like we’ll have to pay just under 30,000 for the ride . The last one was just a boat dock and this one is the regular amount. It seems like it costs a lot more. Yeah. Yeah. I see. This is a perfect place, if you ask me if it was really necessary to take an hour to come here. This is it. This is probably the end. Seriously, this is the end, so if I was serious about staying, it would only last a minute. Apparently this isn’t the only place? Oh, I can go to this side too. What? What? I thought that was the end of it, but it wasn’t. Well, it really is a place you only need to stay for a few minutes. I was suspicious because of the 3.7 reviews on Google , but my hunch was right. I got beaten to the punch. But, yeah. I’ll just go with it. Well , I guess that price is reasonable considering the experience you had up until then. If you asked me if I wanted to come on a tour, it probably isn’t the cave you’d imagine. I just paid 25,000 yen for a ticket here. Then they asked me to pay 100,000 yen for a ticket on the way back. No, that’s not right. I told them not to mess with me, so I wanted the same amount on the way back. So, I had no choice but to offer a 30,000 yen ticket, and when I spoke a little angrily, they said OK. In these cases, you really have to negotiate with that kind of power. I was a little too optimistic . Yeah. Well, I get it. I know, it’s their lifestyle and I understand that if they go, they won’t come back , but it’s not good to look down on them like this. But it’s okay, really. Well, I managed to get back. Okay , let’s do it. I guess it’s best not to carry too much money around. It’s probably easier to just carry the bare minimum and say you don’t have any money. I bought this and this here with a 20,000 yen ticket, and I don’t think anyone is doing it with any ill intentions. Well, it’s their livelihood, after all . Their livelihood depends on it. Well, it can’t be helped, but it’s a peaceful place with nothing . We’ve arrived at the elephant camp. There are a lot of cars parked like this , so I guess I’m in the right place. Let’s go for now. I came to the elephant camp, just like on the map. But is this completely wrong ? The entrance. I’m at the elephant camp, but there are no elephants. What does that mean? This is supposed to be here, but there are no elephants. Where is he? He’s not there. I asked a local person in Lao using Google Translate, “Is there a statue here?” and they said they didn’t know. Wait, is this really Elent Camp? There’s not even a single statue there. Maybe it would be better to do the tour after all. This is Village 3, which is probably part of the tour’s “Mongolian Village” section . They’re selling all sorts of folk goods. There’s laundry and drinks for sale. Hmm. Yeah. Lots of things I’ve seen somewhere before. Ha ha. Maybe this isn’t just a group of houses or something. It looks like this is the end. It’s like, “Isn’t this just a village?” It’s finished. Yeah. It was just a normal place. It looks like this, and you can really see a lot of Chinese influences in the background. I’ve safely returned the scum and am now relaxing at a cafe. I had a few issues yesterday, so I rushed today. I’d like to take it easy a little more today. A lot has been going on, so I heard this beef burger is delicious, so I’d like to try it. [Music] I’m keeping 120,000 yen, so I’d say about 800 yen. Well, they say it’s easy to buy things, but a beer is still 300 yen, and burgers and things like that cost around 800 or 1000 yen, so I can’t help but realize that it might be the best in Japan. [Music] This is really essential, but be sure to bring that hamburger. I get bitten so much by insects, so I’d like to try this hamburger at this restaurant, which is really good. It ‘s only about 800 yen. Let’s eat. Yeah. This is delicious. The bun is crispy and 12%. Oh, this is good. I heard there’s a restaurant in a nice location near Air-chan Fly , so I’m heading there now. This is the kind of place that ‘s established as a normal public transportation , you see. Oh, it’s scary. People are coming in from the front. What should I do? What a view. I chose this place because of its great location, but surprisingly, they only serve course meals. They only serve drinks, so I went there, but there’s construction going on, so it doesn’t seem like a great location or anything. Yes. Oh, it’s great. So delicious. Well, they don’t have any food here, so I’ll just head home. I came here because of the great location and happy hour, but they only serve course meals. [Music] [Music] And they don’t even have happy hour, so walking home across this scary bridge with its bright, frustrating neon lights is super scary. This guy was singing yesterday too. I wonder if he sings every day? The back side is like that, but this street toward the night market is really beautiful . I think this area is probably a local market. Maybe this area is actually a good thing. When I buy things like that at Pokal, everything is cheap and looks delicious. Oh , it seems like a lot of foreigners buy and eat things at places like this. I know it’s meat, but they sell a lot of parts I don’t really know. Yeah. [Music] Tower is strong. It comes out. Yes. I’ve never tried any of them, so I don’t really know what they are. Everything around here looks delicious. It was 30,000 yen, which was a little cheap even at the local store, so I’ll buy that. I’d like to try something like tamen. This is this restaurant. Let’s eat. It’s delicious. It tastes like something I’ve had somewhere before, but it tastes like the soup from that expensive Indian ramen. The noodles are the same. So, I have a suspicion that this might be made for that expensive Maruchan ramen, but it’s just so delicious. [Applause] [Music] I’m heading to the international airport now. The grab bars in Laus are a bit tricky to use. I’m heading to Mien-chan in the capital. Check-in is, uh, [Music] 34. Well, I got a ticket without any problems. My Japanese is a bit broken, but it seems like a lot of people understand Japanese. This, well, it’s a transfer, but they separate international and domestic flights at International Airport. I didn’t understand it, so I just walked right through and ended up being taken back again. It’s very private, and there ‘s a little souvenir shop like this. Prices are about twice as much as in the city. There’s nothing special on the second floor, either. It seems like domestic flights are taken on these wrestling planes . Everyone seems to be having fun taking photos, but the seat pitch is pretty normal. Okay. So, we arrived at the international airport. It’s a little different after all. Bangkok is different. The recovery of the capital is amazing. [Music] Next time, we’ll introduce Mien-chan, which is said to be the most empty capital city in the world. I’ll rent a motorbike and take a look around to see if there’s really nothing there. [Music]
