Hello everyone! This is Haru. The mornings and evenings have finally started to get cooler. My beloved autumn is just around the corner, and I’m excited! I’m looking forward to the autumn appetite! The campsite I’m heading to is a new place for me, and it seems like there are a variety of campsites! I’m looking forward to exploring! The blue sky, white clouds, and mountain scenery are so beautiful Seeing the fluffy clouds makes it feel like summer is still here. As I head to my new campsite, the scenery along the way is different from usual, and it’s exciting As I go further, the atmosphere gradually becomes more remote… Is there really a campsite in a place like this? I was a little worried, but I kept going and finally arrived at the campsite! There seem to be five sites in total. I’m excited to be in a campsite that’s still being developed, making the most of nature! I had reserved the Momiji site, but I was able to use the dog-free site that was available! The pond is right in front of me, and the location is amazing! It’s a fenced-in site, so my dog ​​can roam freely. I’m so grateful for the few dog-free sites! I feel welcomed by the cicada hat♪ It’s time for Mumu to take a walk, so I take off the leash. She looks happy to be able to roam freely around the site. I take off my jacket while Mumu is exploring. Mumu is so engrossed in the walk that I feel warm and fuzzy watching her Let’s take a walk outside too. Pikyo Huh? A frog? There seems to be a mysterious creature in the pond. I stare at the pond, but I still don’t know what it is. I clap my hands, but it doesn’t make a sound. lol. Mumu eats some grass with gusto It looks like the maple site is further ahead! Let’s explore a bit. Is it a bridge? I discover something intriguing. One of the joys of camping is strolling through nature. We arrive at the maple site! Walking through the tunnel of green autumn leaves, we discover a refreshing mushroom! It doesn’t seem to be poisonous (I don’t know, though). The maple leaves illuminated by the sunlight spread across the sky, making it so beautiful. The maple leaves shining through the sunlight are beautiful I’d love to camp here again during the autumn foliage season. I found some nice tree bark, so I’ll pick it up. I also gather some natural firewood! I suddenly look at Mumu and see a tick! 😱 I was able to find it thanks to his white fur, but I’m still afraid of ticks. We’re back home Go! Hopping, hopping. I’m thirsty, so shall I get some water? Come here jump! It’s so cute when she hops onto my lap. There was a mosquito with its tongue sticking out, probably because it’s hot There’s a mosquito Mumu, wait, it looks like it wanted a drink of water ! Here Hmm, so delicious! It’s hot in September, but it’s still hot. Mumu sniffs around the site Jump! Come here ta-dah! The first Shine Muscat grapes of the year♪ Just 200 yen per bunch! Yay I have a habit of sniffing everything. The surface is shiny and looks delicious. Let’s eat! Sweet! What a sound! They said on TV that because it was so hot this year, even small grapes are sweet Super sweet! They pop crisp, and the sweetness fills my mouth. It’s also great that you can eat it with the skin in one bite. It’s so delicious, I gobbles it up. I’m sorry that dog can’t eat it, but he’s eating it so deliciously in front of me. Fruit eaten outside is exceptional! Before I knew it, there was only one left. Thank you for the treat! Just sitting in nature makes me feel incredibly happy. Mumu seems happy, too, so I’m glad I checked regularly to see if there were any ticks. Wait, wait, wait! It was a leaf. Thank goodness. The sky’s starting to get cloudy. Oh, rain!? It’s raining It wasn’t forecast to rain today, so I’m not prepared for rain. What should I do… It’s just a light rain for now, so I’ll try to start a fire I’m a little worried about the rain, but… I’m quickly putting it together. I’m also doing some good batoning. Hurry, hurry, before the firewood gets wet! I want to quickly make the feather sticks, but I’m not very good at it yet I’m in a hurry, but I’m concentrating! I’m starting on the second one. The second one turned out better. It’s a mundane task, but it’s getting quite hot. The rain might be getting a little stronger. Damn, having three feather sticks for starting fires is reassuring Finally done! I’m starting to sweat. I stack the three feather sticks on top of each other . I also put the bark I picked up earlier on top. I don’t know what kind of tree branch they are, but they seem quite flammable. It’s raining, so will I be able to start a fire? It takes some effort to light the fluffy part of the feather stick , but since making them, I’ve been able to light them successfully, which is great! I sprinkle the remaining firewood on the fire (lol). I’m relieved that the fire started successfully. Adding more firewood to make the fire bigger is a lot of fun. No matter how old you are, playing with fire is fun Yes! Even though it’s raining, I’m glad I was able to light a fire. A bonfire does have a smell, but that’s all part of the fun of it! For the fun of starting a fire and cooking food, I don’t mind the smell. The smell of the bonfire lingers even when I get home, but it gives me the feeling of camping, which is also great. Why is a bonfire so relaxing? A gas stove is convenient, but the fun of a bonfire is still there. This time, I’m using a versatile multi-griddle pan to cook. I use a moderate amount of olive oil. Today’s camping meal is my favorite: fried chicken! It’s hot, but I was in the mood for fried chicken. I sprinkled some garlic-flavored powder on the chicken and threw it into the hot oil! To keep it as healthy as possible and avoid leaving too much oil behind, I used a little olive oil for the fried chicken , but it still browned nicely! Before I knew it, the rain had stopped and the air was refreshing. Maybe it was because of the light rain, but it suddenly got cooler, so it wasn’t too hot to fry! Before I knew it, the fire was about to go out It’s hard to maintain the heat of a campfire I want to cook it crispy at a high temperature. The smell of fried chicken brought Mumu over, lol Oh! It looks good It’s golden brown and looks delicious Done! This chicken is fresh, lol. It’s nicely cooked and looks delicious! The second one is fried squid. I often make fried chicken at home, but this is my first time making squid! It browns nicely! The fried squid is done! I can’t pick it up with my chopsticks at all, lol. I managed to grab it! Let’s eat! It’s so good! The garlic flavor is well-infused and delicious! An addictive taste! The fried squid was also delicious Maybe it wasn’t as crispy because there wasn’t enough batter? But the seasoning is excellent. Deep frying at camp is a bit of a hassle, but it’s also twice as delicious. Today I’m going to have lemon sour. I pour strong carbonated water into my favorite mug and squeeze some lemon into it. I’ll use the remaining lemon to add flavor to the fried chicken. Cheers! I add all the remaining squid. I grill the chicken for Mumu on the edge of the frying pan It kills two birds with one stone. The heat is perfect. Mumu watches intently as I flip the squid and chicken over. Mumu, look how dangerous! Mumu is secretly licking the plate Cooking in nature is fun, like playing house. Camping has made me enjoy cooking at home Mumu’s meat is ready! The remaining oil cooked the squid beautifully. Sniffing Mumu is so cute, sitting patiently and sniffing. Amazing, She ate it all again this time! I’m so happy that I was able to make the deep fried chicken I’ve always wanted to make on this camping trip! It was the opposite order to usual, but I wanted to spend some time relaxing in the tent, so I set it up. Thanks to the cool weather, setting up went faster than usual. The tent looked beautiful illuminated by the setting sun. As soon as I finished setting up, Mumu came over lol She knows the timing! There’s always a sense of security when you enter the tent. Time seems to pass more slowly inside the tent. It’s a rare moment of daydreaming that you don’t get in everyday life. It’s a luxurious moment that you can only experience at camp.
