Experience the SHINKANSEN bullet train adventure from Tokyo to Kyoto: Japan Travel Guide

What’s up, guys? Welcome to another vlog. [Music] So, here’s our train. So, in this video, we are traveling from Tokyo to Kyoto. So, I’m finally ready. I repacked all my stuff. So, today we are leaving Tokyo. I’m really not ready. I don’t want to leave Tokyo just yet, but it’s all right because we’re going to come back here later. We’re going to leave today. Our Shinkansen time is at 11:45. It’s currently 9:40 right now. I need to take the train from Shibuya to Tokyo station because there’s no Shinkansen in Shibuya. Going to Kyoto, you have to go from Tokyo station to Kyoto station. And then when I get to Kyoto, my hotel is pretty close from the station. I think I just need to do one transfer from Kyoto station to I can’t remember the name of the station, but it’s only one station away and then it’s like a 3 minutes walk from the station. I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to vlog today because again, it’s a travel day and I have less to carry. So, I might not be able to vlog, but I’ll try my best to take as much clips as I can. So, yeah, I’ll see you guys at the station or wherever. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] You guys, I’m currently still here in the lobby. I’m waiting for my friend Ivan to arrive. I’m just going to leave my suitcases there for a bit. So, he’s actually staying at the hotel close by, like a block away, right over there, that street. And you turn left and it’s right over there. Oh, he’s actually here. No, just meet me there, bro. He’s actually here. I thought he was still walking here. So, we’re going to take Uber to the train station in Tokyo or Tokyo station. Okay, guys. So, I stayed in this hotel for like 5 days. I’ve been really wanting to try that pancake place, but I never get to try it because every single morning I’m always so tired. Like super super tired. So, we’re currently waiting for our Uber right now. What a mess up today. Guys, look at this. Do they please hide that? Why’d you bring that here? Show them your sombrero. Show the sombrero. [Music] [Music] Okay, we just got off the train. We’re here at the Tokyo station. I’m going to go in there now. Actually, I left my luggage over there. We were already inside, but I forgot I’m supposed to vlog. So, this is what it looks like. Let’s go find our platform. Look what they have here. So, if you want to work for a little bit in your computer, you can just rent one of those. How cool is that? So, we’re going to go in there. We have to take the shinkansen tracks. Hopefully, we don’t get lost. Let’s go. So, guys, when you go in, if you’re taking the Shinkansen, make sure you just follow the sign that says Shinkansen. Look. So, see it says subway. Don’t go there because that’s not the Shinkansen. The shinkansen is you just go straight. So there you go. So see that sign says Shinkansen. There’s an arrow to the right. You go there. Okay guys, so we’re currently here. My friend went inside ticket office because so if you didn’t buy your ticket online or if you didn’t buy your ticket ahead, you can get it here. Just like my friend. Well, he did buy his ticket online, but he didn’t buy a luggage for his luggage obviously. So, I’m going to ask him see if he can buy it here cuz he couldn’t do it online. This is a last minute booking for him. Last minute trip. He wasn’t going to come with me, but he ended up coming. So, that’s why he got all of his stuff like super late. All right, let’s go. So, we found our train track. It’s number 19 over there, but we’re a little early. It’s only 11:00. Our departure time is 11:45. So, we’re just chilling over there. Has AC, so it’s nice and cool. And then now I’m just going to look for something I can eat in the train. So there’s another place here. I think they have better stuff, better than upstairs. So maybe I’ll get that one over there or that. Maybe even that. That looks good, too. So guys, this is our ticket by the way. So our ticket, it doesn’t say which track we need to go. So we just asked someone here and they told us track 19. So track 19 is there. So you just need to go up there and then make a left. Our shinkansen is here. See? No. Zomi 69. That’s that one. Going to Hiroshima. My car number is 8. So this is car 11. My car number is over there. I made it to my car number number eight. So they’re currently cleaning the inside right now. There’s a little key over here. Yeah. I’ll show you what’s inside. I actually got a business class ticket. So, we’ll see what it looks like. Okay, guys. The gate is open. Let’s see what it looks like. I might not be able to vlog. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] So, here’s the toilet for business class. There’s your sink. And also, check this out. business booth and seat, right? And you have a nice view. By the way, this is the men’s bathroom. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] made it here. Wow, it’s freaking hot. But from here, we’re going to do one transfer to get to the hotel. It’s only one station away, so I don’t know if I should just take the cab or take the train, but we’ll see. Okay guys, so from Kyoto station, I need to transfer to Karasuma line. So I’m trying to figure out where it is. We found it, guys. Karasuma line, but it’s only stairs. We’re going to look for the elevator. [Music] Guys, FML. I’m so tired already. All right, guys. So, we just got out Gojo station right below there. So, my hotel is that way. 4 minutes walk. And then Hey, your hotel is that way. Hotel’s that way. Is it? Mine is that way. What’s the name? Anyway, there’s Yoshinoya over there. We haven’t had Yoshinoya yet, so we might try that, too. Maybe here or at our next destination. Let’s go. Okay, so my hotel is actually pretty close. I came out from that subway down there below. See that? And then my hotel is just right over there. Okay, so I came from over there, the street light over there, cuz I thought this was my hotel. It’s actually across the street over there, Hilton Garden in. So, I have to go across the street and then hopefully I can check in. We will upgrade to the Finan and set up one extra bed. We can do that first. And we have one double bed and one single bed. What’s up, guys? So, finally made it here in Kyoto. Wow, it was pretty tiring, actually. Maybe because of the heat. It’s really hot outside. So, yeah, I’m staying here at the Hilton Garden Inn in Kyoto. I’m going to get some rest a little bit and then I’m going to meet up with my friend later. He’s staying like couple blocks away from here. I don’t know what we’re doing. I don’t really have any plans. I’ll see you guys in a bit. What’s up, guys? So, I just freshened up. It’s now almost 5:00 p.m. and I’m going to go walk to my friend’s hotel or I think it’s a hostel or something and it’s about let me see if you can see it. It’s about 5 minutes walk and hopefully it’s not too hot outside anymore because earlier it was boiling hot. Anyway, all right. I’ll see you guys there. So, my hotel is over there. See that truck? That’s where my hotel is. And then my friend’s hostel is just over here, right around the corner. Uh, you just turn right and then it should be like 2 minutes away from here. Okay, I’m getting really close. 1 minute away. I think I just need to turn right over here and then I should be here. Where is it? Keep going. Should be on my right hand side. So, I made it. See that RAR hostel? So, this is where he’s staying. Actually, it looks nice. Looks clean. It has the Japanese touch, of course. And that What’s up? Do they will they let me in just to see it? Take off your shoes. We’re going to check out this place. The toilet area took the right looks pretty nice. It’s clean, too. Looks pretty clean.
