with all the prices included. Here’s what’s coming   up. You cannot come to Hoan without visiting 
ancient town. So, this is what we’re going to take you now. We’re going to explore together, 
have a look, wander around, do a little bit of shopping as well. Maybe grab a bite to eat or 
coffee. Yeah, let’s go and explore Hoan Oldtown. I’m pretty sure these boats, they go around 
the canal, around the river in the evening.   They all light up. I already seen it when 
doing some research. Uh yeah, we need to come back here in the evening and explore 
as well. But Han is really quite beautiful, but the thing is because it’s an old ancient 
town, you get loads of these little alleyways   that you see we’re going through now. And down 
through these alleys, there’s little coffee shops, there’s little workshops. But I just love the 
coloring of the houses. Everything’s done in   this yellow color. And it’s kind of all matching 
with all the wooden basically wooden shutters. It looks really beautiful. From what I can see 
already, Hoyan ancient town looks absolutely beautiful. There is so many beautiful places 
where you can take pictures, loads of cafes, beautiful colorful buildings. You’re surrounded 
by temples as well. Stunning, stunning place. So if you didn’t know, Hoyan is basically built 
like on a delta from the river. So around this   whole area, you’ll get loads of different 
little islands. Some are accessible by boat, some are only accessible by road, but there’s so 
much different contrast. So you get rice fields, you get the builtup like river ancient town here. 
And not too far away, also mountains as well. So everything’s really close by here. This is why we 
love it around here. It’s really really hot day today. If you’re planning to come end of July 
to Hoyan, think twice because the temperatures are it’s much hotter than Bangkok. That’s for

going to look so beautiful with everything liten up and also a bit cooler as well.

We’re just walking through a little street   with a lot of souvenirs. Look how pretty

cool down. You get a little bit of breeze   here and it’s shaded as well. I think everyone

ages. There’s loads of uh family pictures   on the wall. So this lovely gentleman, he 
makes his own spicy sauce which we going to definitely try. Yes. Yeah. He said it’s not 
the same as any other place. So we’ll see in   a minute. Yes. I’m going to go for traditional 
Vietnamese, please. Can I have chicken? Okay, cool. Hello. Can we have uh one traditional

bread filled with goodness. How’s the chili? I can’t taste chili yet. Oh yeah. M. That 
chili sauce is absolutely delicious. The chili. Very good. So good. I’m just going 
to load it and even put more on there. Absolutely delicious. Yes. So I’ve gone for 
chicken. So you see here you got roasted chicken inside. You got pickled veggies, that chili sauce. 
Please chuck him more in. And I got fried egg as well. I haven’t had one with fried egg yet. Let’s

Good, right? The chili sauce is amazing. Mhm. But also with that egg, it reminds me like a breakfast 
bath. This is perfect for breakfast with the egg   inside. Like I said, you can taste a bit of charm 
smokiness where you put it on that grill. Oh, I need more chili. Yeah. M delicious. That chili 
sauce is absolutely amazing. Mhm. Chuck it in. I think that’s enough. It’s not too 
spicy. It does have a little kick.   Yeah. But it’s more sweet than anything 
as well, I think. Sweet and spicy. Yum. Delicious. And people are so friendly 
here as well. Lovely gentleman and family run business. Beautiful, beautiful 
spot, beautiful place. [Music] Again, this only a 5-minute drive from the center of 
Oldtown. They say the center by the river. So   if you’re staying in Oldtown, this could 
be like a 5minute walk for you guys. Yeah. March. March. This gentleman just said to 
us, he is open for 13 years already. And he changed his chili sauce recipe five times 
now. Until it’s right. Yeah. Until it’s   right. And it’s perfection. Perfection. 
It’s a nice bit of heat. A bit sweet, but Yeah. I can feel it. A little bit 
tingly. It’s good. It’s nice. Amazing.   Right. Should we pay? Yeah. Let’s wait and see

it’s around 10 minutes. So very easy, very fast. This is why we like this 
location where we’re staying as well. We have arrived. Already looks really pretty

We’re going to show you what it’s like   here in the evening, in the afternoon, and 
we’re going to include all the prices cuz that’s what this video is all about. Yeah. 
First thing, it smells of incense here.   Smells really nice. Let’s go. Some street 
food here as well. There’s a lot going on. Lady was petrol point on that thing. Let’s go and explore. So, as we’re walking around, you probably see like 
the style of houses are a little bit different. So, it’s kind of you see Chinese shopous, but 
basically this is a UNESCO World Heritage site. So, a lot of this was basically a port kind of 
shipping town from like the 15th to 19th century, but the style is a mix of Yeah. Japanese 
Chinese and also local style as well. So, it looks really pretty. And a lot of these buildings 
are basically made out of wood still and they’ve   been refurbished over time. But that’s the main 
structure of most of these buildings here. Oh, it just looks so pretty, doesn’t it, Diggy? Yeah, it 
really does. I don’t know where to look. There’s a   lot of going on around us here. Um, we’re going 
to get run over. I think I think it’s going to open up a little bit when we go to the river. So, 
maybe let’s go over there cuz I can see the bridge   already. Let’s go across the river. Have a look. 
Yeah. See, there’s a ladies over there. They’re going to chuck that thing on you and uh charge 
you money if you want to take a picture. So, don’t let them fool you. But then on the other 
hand, she needs to earn money somehow. So, this   has a different mix of different uh cultures here.

you with um trips, boat trips, boat rides. How many times are we going to get offered a boat

From here, there’s not as much on the riverfront, but when you get closer to Oldtown, 
there’s more by the riverfront. So,   we can choose basically. So, which one is 
Oldtown then? Where’s Oh, you have to walk like 10 minutes maybe. Okay. To get to the center 
of Oldtown that way to Oldtown. Okay. Thank you. Loads of boat trips. Yeah. I think they were 
going to like Oldtown to pick people up. So,   if you want to, it’s one of the main things 
people do. So when the sun goes down, you go out on a boat so you can see all 
the lanterns they have up in the evening.   So I don’t think we’re going to do it, 
but if you want to, the options there, right? So this is not old town yet. We 
just have to walk into the old town,   but we are very close. 10 
minutes walk probably. Yeah, this is the outskirts of the old town. It’s 
still part of the old town, but the bit where   everyone goes is down there. It is still 
old town. It’s pretty here already. [Music] It’s for you. You running away. I want 
to buy you a present together forever. Noodle house. Right. We just we walking 
through the street where is loads   of shopping now. Loads of clothes, 
souvenirs, really nice shoes. Danny, fresh fruit. Fresh fruit. Smells good. I think 
so. This is like a local market/ tourist market. You definitely have to be careful where you 
walk cuz people are not stopping here for you. Got some street food here as well. We’re already 
in Oldtown. We’re just not in the center center. We’re getting towards the center. We’re 
already in Oldtown from the beginning. Yeah. Don’t watch where you’re going. 
saying what you just said. Right. So, now we’re heading to the center 
center of the old town. This is   like the busiest part and this is where 
you will see everyone takes the pictures from. There’s one bridge which overlooks the 
river where everyone takes their boats. So,   this is where everyone comes and takes their 
photos. There’s nice spots, restaurants, nice places for a beer and relax at sun time. Loads 
of places. Look how many boats is here. Okay. I didn’t want to chat too much, but a lady tried 
to get me there and she said I think it’s like for   half an hour, 100,000 per person. So, it’s like 
sunset time. So, I don’t know what that is in US or English. We’ll put it somewhere here. Well, I 
can’t stop looking. Look how can’t stop looking. Look how pretty everything looks here. The old 
style houses are really nice with the yellow and with lanterns. Lampuns. Yeah, Lampuns. But we’re 
going to make our way down to the bridge which overlooks the river. So we’ll have a look there.

and stuff. But we’re just walking by. I just want   to sit down for a bit as the sun goes down. When

every Luna month, it’s actually a lantern festival and they release all these lances on lake, but 
there’ll be thousands of them. So, it’s not now,   but maybe look it up if you want some good photos 
or come at that sort of time. Come then. So, 15th, 14th and 15th of every Luna month and you’ll 
see this place full of lanterns on the river. Facts. Oh, ah, they have on lemongrass. 
Meat on lemongrass as well. Yeah, I want to come here. They got meat on lemongrass 
and they got sick as well. This looks good. Oh, yeah. This one looks nice. I think I want to come 
here. This looks really good. They got uh meat   wrapped in lemongrass. Yeah, they got meat wrapped 
in lemongrass as well on sticks and grilled. And also got like saté as well. And looks like also 
kind of a mixed noodle cold noodle salad as well. That looks really good. Oh, there’s another one. 
We haven’t been in touristy place like that. Well, in a busy place like that for ages, but it’s 
touristy for the right reasons because it’s so pretty in here. I don’t blame anyone who

we’re going to go walk through it. One thing also, it’s now uh nearly 20 to 8 and the river is 
still chock with boats. So, I think we take the boats until quite late, I think. Yeah. It’s 
getting less busy now as well. It’s really hot. So, this side of the river is much quieter. 
Uh, there’s a lot of cool bars. And we’re just approaching another Mr. Bean bar. We just What 
is it with Mr. Bean? I don’t know. They love   Mr. Bean here. Look, more street food. Another 
street cocktail. Buy one get one free. Fog off. So much street food here with some trucks. You 
want a frank? They stand them up like a human. Street food here like grilled meat and stuff 
like that doesn’t look as appealing as it does in Thailand. Doesn’t look so appetizing. No, but 
it’s very touristy. This all of this here is Yeah. The thing is it’s the same thing. So, it’s like 
pancakes, fruit. Yeah. And sausages on sticks. Right. Hungry. Snack time. Yeah.

You get lots of salad to go with it. You get the meat, you get a nice salad. Nice and refreshing
