Hello, everyone ^^ It’s the fifth day in Chiang Mai and the last morning of our trip Today, as our first schedule, we were on our way to have breakfast when we noticed a beautiful mural alley as soon as we got out of the taxi We couldn’t resist the urge to explore, so we changed our destination on a whim Our first stop today is the mural village near the restaurant โœจ The unexpected mural alley really sparked some inspiration from the morning It’s a quiet alley, so it’s not long, but there are some great spots for photos I think it would be really nice to digest after breakfast while taking pictures and exploring We also took a few pictures and then moved on to have breakfast If you walk a little across the mural alley to the alley on the other side, you will see a sign that says ‘Tai Thun Ban’ on the right As you enter the narrow alley, you will see a large spire on the right, and right next to it is where we will have breakfast This place is a popular brunch spot among the MZ generation in Thailand these days, and even though I went early in the morning, there were already many people waiting It’s a space converted from a house, and I really liked the low ceiling and warm interior Luckily, I got to sit by the window You can complete your order by selecting a menu item, checking it on paper, and bringing it to the counter We ordered the most popular toast, peanut butter jam with bread, and porridge The taste wasn’t particularly special, but it was good for a simple breakfast, and considering the affordable price and atmosphere, it was a place worth visiting at least once It was the perfect place for a last morning That bread is crispy, and when eaten with the judgment jam, it’s truly a fantastic combination Not every menu item was very special, but everything was neat and delicious, so I was very satisfied Music, delicious food, and a cup of coffee… it was a dreamlike time โ˜• After enjoying a pleasant breakfast, we set out to explore the rattan street and cafes The breakfast place wasn’t far from the rattan street, so we walked there, passing by a beautiful cafe with a swimming pool (Mesa Cafe) and following an alley that captures the unique vibe of Chiang Mai Maybe it was because it rained, but it felt even more charming โœจ After strolling around, we arrived at the rattan street, haha There are rattan shops near Warorot Market, but this place is more well-known to travelers, so even in the morning, it was already bustling with people Chiang Mai has many rattan bags at affordable prices, which kept catching my eye The hats are so pretty, and there are many cute rattan items, so I recommend you stop by and ‘score’ some when you visit Chiang Mai! Every time I come to Chiang Mai, I stop by the rattan shop to buy pretty hats and bags, haha The rattan street in Chiang Mai really hits the hearts of women ๐Ÿ’˜ While exploring around, I headed to the cafe ‘Brewginning Coffee’ across the street I heard that this cafe is also a hot spot among the Thai MZ generation these days There were many people taking pictures in front of the cafe, and the interior is unique and stylish, so I think it would be nice to stop by, take some photos, and enjoy a cup of coffee! On our last day of travel, we only got coffee to go in order to buy what we needed at Warorot Market Warorot Market is about a 10 to 20-minute walk from Rattan Street, so we walked there As we approached the market, I noticed a place in an alley with thick smoke coming out, and I couldn’t help but go check it out out of curiosity By the way, it was a street satay skewers restaurant that I saw in a video a while ago It was a place I had promised myself to visit, so I recognized it right away Finding this place on the last day felt like fate ๐Ÿ˜‡ I couldn’t just pass by, so I ordered 10 skewers It costs 60 baht (about 2,600 won) for 10 skewers It’s a very popular place, so if you’re unlucky, you might not get to eat because they run out of skewers, but fortunately, I was able to place an order right away This place is a popular street food skewer shop among locals, so while we were sitting there, there were constantly Grab drivers and customers coming in and out To be honest, if I share my personal thoughts, it really tasted good, but I felt like I had to turn a blind eye to the hygiene I really love skewers… but seeing the making process repeatedly made it hard for me to eat more, even though it tasted good Even my husband, who is used to Southeast Asian food, said he couldn’t eat anymore ๐Ÿ˜… It was tasty, but I wouldn’t recommend it to those who are sensitive about hygiene Still, I was glad to be able to visit a place that I found by chance and was so curious about So, we enjoyed 10 skewers and then headed to the Warorot Market ๐Ÿƒ At the entrance of Warorot Market, there is a famous milk tea vendor, so after having a cup of Thai milk tea, we went shopping and returned to our accommodation By the way, the price is 30 baht (about 1300 won), and it seems like they prepare it in advance, so itโ€™s made quickly and tastes great! After dropping off our luggage at the accommodation, we took a taxi to go have lunch right away But it rained so much that I was a bit worried However, I reassured myself that this is also part of Chiang Mai’s charm The place we’re having lunch is the Michelin restaurant ‘Krua Lawng Khao’ It’s quite far from downtown Chiang Mai, so we had to make a special effort to go, but fortunately, there’s a newly opened cultural complex nearby, so we decided to stop by there as well I was worried because it was raining heavily on the way, but by the time we arrived, the rain had stopped, and we were able to enjoy our meal in a charming atmosphere The restaurant was located in a quiet place where you could enjoy a view of the rice fields while dining As I sat there, a gentle breeze blew, adding to the atmosphere, and it was absolutely amazing It was a place worth visiting despite the rain The menu had so many options that it felt like everything was Thai cuisine We ordered the Michelin-starred dishes and recommended items on the first page of the menu, and we also ordered a Laotian national beer called ‘Beer Lao.’ The first dish had a taste similar to our country’s injeolmi, and it was adorned with beautiful flowers and vibrant colors The taste was just like grilled injeolmi, so it was a menu that anyone would enjoy The second dish was something like fried peppers, but it was actually fried food with seasoned pork stuffed in soybean skins instead of peppers It felt like there was a meatball inside the fried pepper, and since it’s a familiar taste, I think everyone can enjoy it without any preferences I heard that this dish was featured on Thai TV The third dish was one that received a Michelin star; I thought it was a soup dish just by looking at the photo, but it turned out to be fried bean skins served with a dipping sauce As a result, I accidentally ordered two fried dishes, but they were crispy and delicious, making them perfect as beer snacks My husband teased me, saying, “You’re just going to eat high-calorie fried food,” but can you hear the crispy sound? ๐Ÿ˜… I really think Thailand does fried food well…! It wasn’t particularly amazing in taste, but thanks to the relaxed atmosphere, I had a satisfying meal If there are anyone who has a tour in the Mae Rim area like me, I think it’s a good place to visit at least once The next destination is the ‘Kriengkrai Mahamitr Market,’ which I really wanted to visit It’s a multi-cultural space transformed from a pickled fruit factory, featuring a cafรฉ, gallery, and charming little shops With local food, beautiful desserts, and emotional exhibitions, it’s a great place to relax during your travels At the entrance, there was a small market with plenty of gift-worthy items like dried fruits, pickled fruits, garlic, tea, and honey I especially liked that I could taste and choose before buying I bought tea, honey, and black garlic, and after trying them in Korea, I regretted not buying more because they were so delicious The prices are affordable and the quality is good, making it really recommendable as a gift Next to the market, there was also a space selling handmade crafts There were a variety of charming items like clothes, perfumes, and accessories There were many luxurious and beautiful products, but the prices were somewhat high Instead, the quality of the products looked good ๐Ÿ’ธ Now, we headed to the main area First, the use of pickling jars in the interior caught my eye, and the grand yet stylish atmosphere was impressive Overall, it was a simple yet sophisticated interior that reminded me of Japan In the center, there was a table where you could buy and enjoy drinks or food, and the prices were reasonable It was so clean and nice that I regretted having already eaten lunch, as I wanted to have a meal here too Perhaps because it was a weekday and it was raining, there weren’t many people, which made it feel more pleasant It seems that there might still be some influence that is not widely known…! Haha, I have a feeling that I might not be able to feel this kind of relaxation during my next visit ๐Ÿ™Š There was also a restaurant that felt more like a dining place rather than an open food court In fact, there is also a Japanese restaurant, which seems to be the concept If you’re craving Japanese food, it might be worth a visit ๐Ÿ™‚ We ordered coffee at the cafรฉ on the first floor and went up to the second floor The second floor was decorated like a Japanese tatami room, and the window overlooking the first floor was impressive Personally, I really liked this space the most There couldn’t have been a better place to wrap up my trip to Chiang Mai Everything was great, but it was also the moment I felt the most regret…ใ… ใ…  I have a feeling that I will visit this place earlier on my next trip to Chiang Mai ๐Ÿ˜Š You can choose the coffee beans yourself, and the taste was excellent It’s located in the Mae Rim area, so it’s a bit far from the city, but I highly recommend it for those who want to quietly experience the essence of Chiang Mai ๐Ÿ‘ Lastly, I stopped by ‘Nep Muop Ong (Jar Grilled Meat)’ which I really wanted to visit again for a simple meal I returned to this place because I had such a delicious meal during my last trip, and it is so famous among Koreans that I saw many Korean customers there The signature dish of this restaurant is jar-grilled pork belly, called ‘Mukkeop’ The pork belly inside the pot becomes crispy on the outside and tender on the inside over time, making it really delicious It’s a system where you order using a QR code, and besides the papaya salad, the corn salad is also tasty I was especially looking forward to the corn salad, which is popular, but when we went, it was already sold out ๐Ÿ˜ญ Feeling disappointed, we ordered the papaya salad and morning glory to share Of course, you can’t have samgyeopsal without beer I wait for the food I ordered while soothing the end of my time in Chiang Mai with a beer The place we visited is the main branch of Nep Muop Ong This location has an outdoor area without air conditioning! Instead, one of the other locations is Old City, Nimmanhaemin I heard that the second branch near the two, close to the Thanon Uea Lai market, has air conditioning now! For those who might visit this restaurant, I recommend keeping this in mind ๐Ÿ˜Š The food started coming out slowly ๐Ÿ˜‹ The fried fish is really a perfect match with som tam and sticky rice It’s a taste that is very familiar and universally liked by Koreans, so I highly recommend you try it at least once! You might think, ‘Is there really anything special about it?’ but if you try the muk-eop elsewhere, you’ll understand the true value of Nepmuopong, haha The muk-eop here is so special that I can confidently say it has a unique flavor ๐Ÿ‘, and the som tam was above average as well! If we get the chance next time, I want to order corn som tam and a variety of other dishes to enjoy again, haha (currently indulging) Although it wasn’t captured in the video, after finishing a delicious meal, we returned to our accommodation, took a short break, and organized our luggage Since our flight back to Korea was in the evening, my husband and I had a bit of extra time We reminisced about the food we wanted to eat again and recalled what we had for breakfast on our first morning in Chiang Mai I went back to eat ‘Bami Jjae Hua’ spicy noodles again haha For those curious about the details, please refer to the first video! I filled up until the very last meal of my Chiang Mai trip and headed to the airport with a heavy heart How was our 4-night, 6-day trip to Chiang Mai? This is my first attempt at a travel video, so there are many shortcomings, but I hope you enjoyed it ๐Ÿ™ I’m preparing for the next travel video, so please look forward to it and don’t forget to like, subscribe, and turn on notifications! ๐Ÿฅฐ
