【長野県 観光】避暑を求めて😃長野2泊3日の旅①🚗(1日目)清々しい👍美ヶ原高原ハイキング🎒&国宝!松本城🏯【長野旅行】【長野県】Vol.162 [SUB/4K]

Good morning! This is E-Ma. A sea of clouds spreads out below. It’s almost sunrise! (´ー`) My trip this time is in Nagano Prefecture. The “Utsukushigahara Plateau Roadside Station” I’m currently at is located at an elevation of 2,000 meters. Even in the height of summer in August, it’s chilly enough to make you shiver in the morning. (>_<) This is the first day of my three-day, two-night trip to Nagano. My journey begins with the sunrise. (*'▽') Let's get started! So many people besides us came to watch the sunrise. I'd just started my journey, but I took a quick nap. (^▽^;) I've just gotten ready and left the roadside station. I'm off to a walk around the Utsukushigahara Plateau. (´ー`) I parked my car at the Utsukushigahara Plateau Nagawa Town Parking Lot. The Utsukushigahara Plateau is the largest plateau in Japan, spanning Matsumoto City, Ueda City, and Nagawa Town in Nagano Prefecture. It's still morning, so the temperature is just right for walking. The air feels as fresh as spring (´ー`). The plateau is so vast, I wondered how far I should walk, but I finally saw my first destination. The symbol of Utsukushigahara is the Utsukushi Tower. It was originally built as a "Mist Bell Tower" to ring the bell on days with poor visibility. Behind the tower, there's a chain for ringing the bell. If you pull too hard, this happens (;・∀・). The path is mostly flat and well-maintained, making it easy to walk. A little further on from the Utsukushi Tower, you'll see grazing cows grazing and lying down. It's 1.8km to Ougato. It's cloudy, so I was wondering what to do, but... I'm already there! (゚Д゚). The wind and the clouds are moving quickly, so it's cloudy and sunny. The place I'm heading for is completely white (^_^;). Only the final section is a steep uphill climb. The finish line! Ogatoh is the highest peak on the Utsukushigahara Plateau, located at an elevation of 2,034 meters. Ogatoh Hotel stands in this very spot. I'd love to stay there someday! For the past few years, I've spent most of my summers at the beach, but the mountains are nice too (´ー`). It feels great (≧▽≦). There are also many antennas for TV and radio stations. I took a commemorative photo (^.^). I took a rest on a bench before heading back. The round trip from the parking lot to Ogatoh, including breaks, took about two and a half hours. I stopped in a souvenir shop next to the parking lot. I decided to return to Utsukushigahara Plateau Roadside Station for lunch. Prefectural Route 460, Venus Line, is a great road for a daytime drive. Last night, when I passed by, it was pitch black and foggy, making everything white (゚Д゚). It was scary because I couldn't see what was ahead (>_<). There were significantly more cars on the road than in the morning. Utsukushigahara Plateau Roadside Station is the highest roadside station in Japan. It's attached to the Utsukushigahara Highland Museum. I got a stamp! I had lunch at the restaurant on the second floor. Wild vegetable udon (950 yen). Katsu pho sandwich (850 yen). I went to the observation terrace. I wonder if there are bears around here too? (;´・ω・). The sea of clouds that was there this morning had completely disappeared. If I had the time and energy, I would have liked to go to the Utsukushigahara Highland Museum, but... I'll save that for next time (^_^;). So, I headed for Matsumoto City, enjoying a drive. After about an hour's descent down the winding mountain road, I arrived at my destination. Matsumoto Castle, a National Treasure. Of all the castles in Japan , only five have been designated as national treasures. Himeji Castle, Hikone Castle, Inuyama Castle, Matsue Castle, and Matsumoto Castle are the others. Let's take a look at this precious Matsumoto Castle (´ー`). The ruins of the Ninomaru Palace. When the Honmaru Palace was here, it served as a secondary government office, and after the Honmaru Palace burned down, it served as a government office. The Taikomon Masugata gate. To securely protect the castle's entrance, stone and earthen walls surround it in a square, with two gates inside and outside. From here on, there's a fee. Electronic tickets can be purchased in advance, which is convenient. "Kuromon" (Black Gate). This is an important entrance to the main keep, and beyond this point, the Honmaru Palace once stood. There was a commemorative stamp for viewing, so I stamped it. (´ー`) I got the stamp! "When it comes to castles, Matsumoto Castle is the place to be!" Electronic tickets have a designated date and time, so you can enter the keep without waiting. It seems that with paper tickets purchased on the day, entry may be limited depending on the crowds. "castle tower". So cool! (≧▽≦) Matsumoto Castle is the oldest remaining five-story, six-story castle keep in Japan. While it looks five stories from the outside, the interior is actually six stories tall. This is because the third floor is windowless and low-ceilinged, like an attic. Photography is permitted inside the keep, but the stairs are prohibited due to their danger. This is the top floor. This was used to observe the surrounding enemies during battles. The view is excellent in all directions, so even the enemy would be clearly visible (*´艸`). Matsumoto Castle's guardian deity, the Nijurokuya-no-kami, is enshrined in the center of the ceiling. From here, we walked down the designated route. Matsumoto Castle is made up of five buildings: the main tower, the small Inui tower, the Watariyagura (Watar Tower), the Tatsumitsuke Tower, and the Tsukimi Tower. The main tower, the small Inui tower, and the Watariyagura were constructed at the end of the Sengoku period. The Tatsumitsuke Tower and the Tsukimi Tower were added during the Edo period. It was a spectacular castle, but it was crowded with tourists. It felt like an assembly line, with everyone following in the footsteps of the person in front of us (^_^;). We then took a look at the gift shop. Fans that would be a hit with foreigners (´ー`). Next to the gift shop, there was a stamp that said "Japan's Top 100 Castles." It took about an hour to get from the entrance to the exit of the paid area. Castles rank highly in the rankings of popular tourist spots in every prefecture. Even if you're not a history buff, castles are a sight to behold. I'll definitely visit all five of these national treasure castles someday. (^.^) Finally, I visited the shrine next to the parking lot. This shrine is associated with Matsumoto Castle and is said to grant blessings for local development and matchmaking. I was pretty exhausted from the heat. (^_^;) Even though they're both in Nagano Prefecture, the temperature difference between Utsukushigahara, which is at a high altitude, and Matsumoto city is stark. (´Д`) I arrived at my accommodation for the night. The parking lot was across from the hotel, so I parked there. My room was Room 321 in the annex. I'll cover the room tour and the hotel interior next time. I went to a famous soba restaurant nearby for dinner, but there was already a line. (;゚Д゚) There's a sister restaurant nearby, so I went there instead. The Touji Soba Simple Plan was 1,980 yen per person. I chose this restaurant because I wanted to try Matsumoto's specialty, Touji Soba. (´ー`) Touji Soba is a broth made with wild vegetables and other vegetables. This is a local dish where cold soba noodles are warmed up and eaten like shabu-shabu. After you've finished eating the soba noodles, you add the buckwheat kernels to the remaining broth to make rice porridge. While eating the soba noodles, the flavor was a little light and refreshing... but the rice porridge had a nice salty taste (´ー`). Finally, we had cold soba noodles. We chose the simple plan without tempura, but we were full (´ー`). Next time, we'll cover the first half of the second day of our 3-day, 2-night trip to Nagano. I hope this video will be of some help to you. If you enjoyed it, please click the good button and subscribe to the channel! We're also looking forward to your opinions and comments (´ー`). Thank you for watching until the end. Please look forward to the next one~(^_^)/~
