That’s quite a walk It says 40 minutes home The distance is 600m It’s going down quite a bit I like this atmosphere but it’s a bit scary The remaining half is really low It’s really going down This boardwalk is quite thrilling, it’s swaying and bumpy I’m afraid it will slip We have arrived at “Hotokegaura” There are lots of beautiful rocks Is this limestone too? The building itself looks pretty nice This place is called “Oyu” and “Shinyu” This is a hot spring where you can enjoy two different types of hot springs I read that the hot spring water is hot, so it’s supposed to be hot, but it’s cold today I think I can finish the day feeling pretty warm Shimoburo Onsen We arrived It’s 4:43pm This is it Shimoburo Onsen Kaikyo no Yu I started at about 7am 450 yen I plan to leave Kaikyo no Yu at 18:12 It was a very nice bath I really liked this place That was great! Apparently there were two types of hot springs, and although it was a sodium chloride spring, I thought the “Shinyu” one had a lot of floating mineral deposits and was much better, so I went in Can you look at the left side? Yes, it’s okay Because it was the same as the source Because it was hot, I was told that it was ok to add water Well, I didn’t add any water at all, but there were a lot of locals there and they were all saying “It’s lukewarm today” when they got in I thought it was lukewarm, but it felt really good It’s crazy, it’s so warm right now, it was amazing There was a sauna and a small cold bath There was no one in the sauna at all Aomori Hiba, Hiba Tree It seems that they use a lot of Aomori Hiba, one of the three most beautiful forests in Japan Hiba bath stool, Hiba bath tub There is also a restaurant on the first floor The counter seats are made of Japanese cypress I thought the smell of the hot spring was really nice The smell of the bath is like wood It was really good, it smelled good Much better than cypress or something It is now 9:11pm There was a roadside station called “Shichinohe” so we decided to take a break there I’m going to cut corners, and I spent a lot of money on tuna, so I kept it cheap I bought some local products, so I’d like to introduce them to you I tried the miso curry milk ramen once in Aomori and it was delicious, so I’m going to eat it Fried noodles BAGOOOON is a little spicy So, this is a chawanmushi-style egg tofu dish, and apparently it has ingredients inside This was the first time I’d seen this so I bought it Discount vegetables This is a snack, Nanbu rice crackers The yakisoba bento in Hokkaido comes with Chinese soup, but this one comes with seaweed soup The simple taste was delicious when I tried it once This time I tried making it a little spicy It tastes like egg tofu, but it’s delicious, similar to chawanmushi Tamago tofu is usually sweet with just a slight flavor, right? This has a strong flavor and is packed with lots of ingredients It wouldn’t feel strange at all if it was served as chawanmushi The other day I went to the “Yashiki Center” in Hachinohe At that time, there was something called a sea squirt We had never eaten sea squirt before and were curious about it I tried some sea squirt shellfish that I was told could be eaten immediately as sashimi, without knowing what it tasted like, but it tasted a bit bitter, probably because of the alum Apparently octopus will spoil if it’s not soaked in medicine, so it will be spoiled by the time it arrives Apparently all foreign products are soaked in alum I was saying that I don’t use any ingredients from Oma, but I feel like I’ve come to understand the taste a little better I’m not good at sea urchins to begin with The sea urchin I ate in Hokkaido was really delicious It’s sweet and doesn’t have a strange taste The sea urchin I ate today was the same, so I think it’s completely different I think people who don’t like sea urchin should definitely try sea urchin without alum The sea squirt shell itself was probably delicious The taste of the alum made me go ‘ugh’, I think I like shellfish, so I was a little disappointed The sea squirt had a really soft and bouncy texture It was like an overripe persimmon Ah, maybe I understand The taste is completely different but the look and texture is similar It looks a bit strange, but what do you think?
