【ボスニア旅】首都サラエボの歴史や平和への願いが息づくおすすめ観光スポット紹介!
[Music] Good morning. Good morning. I bought a train ticket to Sabo. It’s 14 rounds per person, about 1,150 yen. The train departs around 6:30 in the morning. [Music] We arrived at Sabo. It took about two and a half hours. Right. The scenery along the way was nice, wasn’t it? Right? Yeah. And there was a toilet, and there was a sign that said you could get coffee, so it was very comfortable. [Music] Sae is so crowded. So crowded. Maybe it’s because there are no trains? There’s no one here. There’s no one here. This is my lodging for the night. [Music] There are four beds. There’s a refrigerator and a closet. I’m happy that the toilet, shower room, and shower room are separated. The price is 5,100 yen per night. The buildings are quite unique. Apparently, this area is called the Bashchar district. It’s a historic district. Yes. There are quite a few distinctive buildings, aren’t there? Yeah. The houses are old, too. Yeah. It has quite a bit of atmosphere, doesn’t it? [Music] This river roof must be a building from the Ottoman Empire. Yeah. It’s similar to the Ottoman Turkish cityscapes I’ve seen so far. It’s similar. Yeah. Around here, there are Turkish sweets and stuff. Turkish-style, you know. There’s always Turkish food, and this Turkish ice cream. There are so many pigeons. Everyone’s feeding them. Apparently this place is called Pigeon Square. There are so many pigeons. So many. So many pigeons. It’s like a pigeon panic. It’s amazing. Wow. Wow wow wow wow wow. It’s crazy. I’m hungry, so I’m going to eat this. Pikara Erin. Does pikara mean bread? [Music] One is meat and the other is cheese. 1.80 each. I’ll have this. 6 mac and cheese . Oh, so beautiful. It’s like a big dough. Yeah. The cheese is also really delicious. The meat portion here is quite generous. I wanted to try some, so this looks super sweet. I bought this. [Music] I haven’t gotten to the bottom yet. Yes. [Music] Yes. I wonder if it has anything in it? Or not? I thought it had custard cream or something, but it didn’t. Yes. There’s something on the edge, yes. Ah, but it’s apple jam, and it’s delicious. [Music] That’s right. I can’t get there. But I wish there was more. It’s a little small. Yes. Yes, it’s down a side street. Volcano Dick Street. There seem to be a lot of shops making apples like those in Ginza, and I can still hear the bang bang bang. That’s right. Yes. [Music] I came to the store, yes. This guy is amazing, he’s even listed in a UNESCO book. He’s probably a certified engineer. Yes. Yes. There’s a photo of you with him in the background, and I was surprised. [Music] It’s an amazing piece, and you explained a lot to me, yes. Your work is amazing, isn’t it? It’s so beautiful. Thank you. [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] This is a little different from the last store. See you again. See, it’s different and interesting. [Music] So you’re asking what kind of break this is ? Yes. Yes. If you look over here, you’ll see the Ottoman Turkish streets we’ve been through so far. [Applause] The orange houses. Yes. And if you look over here, it’s transformed into a European streetscape. This is a cultural exchange store. Interesting, this. Interesting. Yes. [Music] It’s already Europe. It’s suddenly European. A typical streetscape. It’s strange. [Music] Looking from this way to the other, it looks like this, so the city changes all at once. You can enjoy two different faces of the city in the same place. These buildings around here are from the Austro-Hungarian Empire era. This country has gone through many eras, so the ground is red. [Music] Yes. This is called Boroughs. Yes. A missile landed here. People died here. Yes. By leaving something like this as art in such a place, yes. It’s surprising to see what kind of place it is, as it preserves the tragedy in the composition so we don’t forget that something like that happened here . Behind it is the Cathedral of the Spirit of Jesus. It’s a Catholic cathedral. The town of Savo has a mosque, a cathedral like this, and a Serbian church, so there’s a mix of frequencies. [Music] There are a bunch of cafes lined up around it. But, you know, a missile fell here. Yeah. It’s really hard to imagine now. That’s true. Yeah. This is the Cathedral of the Birth of Jesus, the Terbian Church . [ Music] What did you think? Yes. The inside was very impressive. Yeah. Yeah. The whole thing was decorated in gold. Yeah. [Music] Now, this is the Spitfire Bridge. In 1914 , the Austro-Hungarian Empire’s patrol boat was crossed here by a pro-Serbian patrol boat. This incident led to the Austro-Hungarian Empire declaring war against Serbia, which later led to the spread of World War I. It’s the one that often comes up in history textbooks. The one where all these different countries come up and it’s hard to understand. Yeah. It’s called the Sabo Incident. I studied at World City, but I never thought I’d be standing here. I mean, everyone should be singing peacefully now, but… We the [Music] [Music] When you look at old buildings, there are all these holes and stuff , and it’s heavy, isn’t it? You can see a lot of them. There are countless marks like this on the walls . It’s really shocking, isn’t it? When you look at the walls up close, it’s amazing. Really. [Music] Yeah. It’s not just one. Yeah. There are so many on the walls, it’s hard to imagine how many people must have died. [Music] It seems like Sabo City is showing us, so I’m thinking of going up the hill a bit, but on the way there, there are also a lot of graves lined up. [Music] We’ve arrived. Yeah. It’s about 15 minutes from the city center. Yeah. That’s right. Yeah. You can see the whole view from here. Yeah. Yes. [Music] Osnia and Herzegovina is a federal state made up of two parts: the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is mainly made up of Bosniaks and Croats, and the Republic of Srpska, which is mainly made up of Serbs . That’s right. Yes. Actually, there are two governments within this one country, each maintaining its own identity. Yes. Yes. Looking at the map, Srpska is probably on the other side of that mountain. This side, where we’re at now, is the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and this town is… Yes. It was completely under the control of the Serbian army during the conflict, right? Yes. Yes. I imagine that must have been an unimaginable life. [Music] When you walk around town, there are cemeteries everywhere. Yes. Yes. I’ve also seen footage of people running to cross the street to avoid being hit by gunfire. Yes. [Music] I imagine they must have had a very difficult life. There are graves scattered around the base of this hill, too . Looking at the years, there are a lot of graves from 1993, 1994, 1995, etc. Yeah. Yeah. Looking at it like this, you can see a lot of white graves among the orange roofs. There are some on this side too. There are some on this side too, so you can see that this place was a fierce battlefield. Looking at them… No, it’s amazing that there are so many graves lined up like this, and they’re all 9,293,9495 of them . I’m a little lost for words. I’m speechless. Yeah. But there are still so many people who are missing, and… [Music] For today’s meal, I’d like to go to Starcro. [Music] Today’s dinner is… Yes. Today’s food is Bosnian. It looks so delicious. First of all, that’s Bosnian-style, with a hint of Bosnian flavor, and apparently it ‘s made by slowly stewing bone-in chicken and vegetables. Yes. Yes. And then there’s this stylish dolma. It’s made by stuffing zucchini, peppers, and other vegetables with ground meat and rice and stewing them. It looks so delicious. Right ? Let’s eat. Yes. Here we go. I ‘ve been wanting to eat this for a long time. This is it. Right . [Music] It’s so delicious. It’s amazing. Yeah. The beef is amazing, see, see. And this is a beef stew with a bit of a tomato flavor . [Music] Yes. It’s so delicious. It’s the best. Oh, it’s amazing. This [Music] It’s so meaty. It falls apart, so you eat it like this. [Music] Yes. Oh, it’s got minced meat and , yeah. It’s got rice in it too, and it’s so delicious. It’s the best. yeah. Finally, I got to eat a vinegar dish. Right. This is lightly seasoned and delicious. Now, I ordered one more dessert? This was a compote recommended by a local. It’s a fruit compote. Wow. It’s so delicious. It’s huge. Yeah. It’s huge. This is it. I think it’s old. I see. This is just one stick. Wow. It’s got a lot of fruit in it, and the juice is concentrated and delicious. Yeah. It’s so delicious. It’s fruity. [Music] No, it was so delicious. It was so delicious. By the way, this is Starcro. The food was very reasonably priced. 10 marks for the sanski. I ordered a large plate. 9 marks for the silly dolma. Also, a large plate was 9 marks. Yeah. And the pot was 2.50 marks. It’s super cheap, isn’t it? Right. It’s incredibly cheap and the locals recommend it, so please come and visit. It’s nice. Right. It was a feast. Thank you for your hard work. No, it was amazing. It was the best. As I entered the supermarket, it suddenly started raining heavily. Does this really happen? It’s bad. I can’t go home. No way, this is a lie. Okay. So, I came to Bosnia and Herzegovina. How was it? [Music] Yes, I’ve seen two years in Savo and Mostar, and it was a journey that made me think about a lot of things. That’s true. Well, actually, when you see something so profound in person, you realize that it really was true. And above all, [Music] , it happened in the 1990s, during the time we’re still alive, so it feels like it really happened recently. [Music] Yeah. Yeah. We traveled around the country thinking about how people our age lived. [Music] That’s right. At the same time, there are a lot more young people, and I got the feeling they’re becoming the new bosses and siblings. Yeah . I feel like I was able to visit some truly precious places. Yes. Well, I’ll be moving again tomorrow, but I’ll be able to share that with you in this video, so please continue to watch. So, that’s it for today’s video. [Music] This channel uploads travel vlogs and motion pictures, so please subscribe and leave a comment. Thank you. See you in the next video. Goodbye. Goodbye . Thank you for watching. Everyone, please subscribe, like, and leave a comment. See you in the next video. Bye. [ Music]

[Bosnia Travel] Sarajevo – Where History and Culture Meet, and Peace Is Remembered
This time, we’re exploring Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Sarajevo is the site of the assassination that triggered World War I, known as the Sarajevo Incident. It’s a stunning city where the architectural influences of the Ottoman Empire and the Austro-Hungarian Empire beautifully blend together.
Despite its beauty, Sarajevo also faced the tragedy of the Bosnian War starting in 1992, and bullet marks from that time can still be seen throughout the city today.
Just like in Mostar, visiting Sarajevo gave me a lot to reflect on about the importance of peace.
I hope you enjoy watching this video!
