Rasta Farewell Tour Part I – King of the mountains in Switzerland 4K
[Music] [Music] [Music] My dear Swisses and Switzerland lovers, I
promised Rasta that I would take him on a kind of a farewell tour. On this tour, we will
visit the places that meant a lot to us and where we were simply happy. These were usually places
where Rasta could run around freely and where you could see in his face that he was happiest there.
I’m taking you along on this tour. Of course, it will be emotional at times, but it helps me
and perhaps you too, to experience a form of a farewell that is no longer completely marked
by tears and sad emotions. You will understand why I choose these places when you see them.
Rasta loved it there more than anything else. My Swisses in Switzerland lovers, we are
on our farewell tour for Rasta. Yeah, we will visit his favorite places. Yeah, and
this was one of them. We are right now at Grim Alpas and we have four degrees and some fog
and it’s cold and windy and that’s exactly that kind of weather Rusta loved. So, let’s
go to one of his favorite little lakes. Okay. I don’t know if you believe in things like this.
But Rasta’s spirit is with us. We know that for 100%. Um, I don’t want to tell you the details
because otherwise you would say I’m I’m going crazy, but he is here. Yeah, you can believe
me. Raa loved this place because this place has streams, it has stones and yeah, there are lakes
when you walk a little bit behind. And um yeah, especially in the morning, we loved to go up here.
Yeah, especially in summer because it was so hot in the valleys and up here it is Yeah. quite
cool. We wanted to go to these lakes with Rusta this year, but uh we had to return um in the half
because he was not able to walk that long anymore. [Music] If Rusta would be here physically, um, he would
be already here, but always. Yeah. Stopping and looking back if I’m coming. Yeah. Ra, I want
you to go in every little lake here. Yeah. [Music] So this was one of his happy places.
[Music] Oh, he so love to walk around everywhere. Yeah. And just check if the if the water is good
enough to go in and Yeah. He so loved it up here. So, uh, Rusta is with us somehow, but to
be honest, he’s not here. He’s, uh, he’s he’s here. Um, but not physically. He’s here with
his spirit. I mean, we cried a lot the last week, you know, from Monday to Friday. Yeah. Crying
and thinking of him and missing him and still missing him, of course, but uh then on Friday.
Um I mean, we we got some signs from Rasta. So, um if you believe in something uh like this,
you can. You really can. And if you miss Rusta um very much, just think of him. Yeah.
And if you walk somewhere he walked, think of him and he will be at your side.
Sure, you can you can believe me. And if not, it’s not a problem. It’s it’s okay. I I know
it, you know. And uh so he’s this is just um you know the I don’t know the word right
now um tula and uh he’s you know humans and um animals we are energy and I believe that
energy doesn’t die energy um transform itself in something else. That’s what I believe. So don’t
be sad. He’s everywhere whenever you think of him. [Music] [Music] [Music] We are now on our way to another of Rasta’s
favorite places. Or rather, we are going on one of his favorite hikes. To do this, we are
driving to Grindelvald. But as you know, Rusta was not a city dog. So, we are going up to a place
where he could run around to his heart’s content. Heat. Heat. [Music] This is also an old an old man. Yeah. So we are
now at busulp and then we do the hike rust loves to do. Yeah, he’s with us. A friend of mine told
me that she couldn’t do this. So, like a farewell tour uh to go on places um yeah where we have
been with Rusta and but you know it’s um I mean it’s kind of therapy and we know that he is with
us all the time. Yeah. Yeah. It’s good. It’s good to do that. You know, my partner also accompanies
me um on a few trips. Yeah. Now it’s weekends. I don’t have to work and but during the week I have
to do the trips by myself. Yeah. I I was always a person who I I went into my feelings. Yeah. Since
I can think. Yeah. because um so sad it is and so sad I am and so much I’ve cried. Um the more I
go in the faster I’m out again. I don’t know if it’s working for everyone but it is working for
me on this hike. Rusta was always so energetic. Yeah. He ran up and down and up and down. Yeah.
Ah, I can see him clearly. Rusta will be 9 years old in January next year. This is already a very
proud age for a dog. So in human years, he will be already 70. You don’t see it in his face, do
you? I think that exactly such hikes keep him fit. And although he is actually an old dog, he has
kept his waggishness. We should all do that. You maybe say, “Oh, but that kind of weather
that’s not mine.” For Rusta, it didn’t matter what kind of weather it was. if it was raining or
there was fog or no sight or with sight or he was just happy to be outside because he knew that he
can get some energy from nature. Yeah. Now think about it. When Russell’s body was fit, he used to
chase the pine cones. Yeah. We just throw them. Yeah. And then sometimes he had
four pine cones in his mouth. Yeah, crazy boy. So beside Rasta’s memories, um the post car uh or post auto is running up
every hour. Yeah, but check on the website of Green Leva Bus uh if it’s really running. And
the hike down takes about uh 2 hours. Yeah. [Music] You don’t trust me. I see
that. I see that in your eyes. And even though we are sad because Rasta is
not with us anymore, we still focus on the good. That’s the thing we always wrote
and said the last few months or years. There is always something good around you, but
you have to focus on it. I told you maybe in an older video that these trees are maple trees
and they all turn in a kind of golden color in autumn. Yeah, I I miss it every year.
I try to to capture it this year. Okay. Wow, look at this in the sky. That’s quite special, isn’t it? Huh? [Music]
I told you. Huh? Yeah. Even in sad moments, there’s always something beautiful around. Just
open your eyes. Yeah. You need to practice this. I know that. But once you have it, yeah, it can save
your life or at least your mood. What I think that the first part of this trip um yeah was for Rusta
and now he ordered some moods for me. Thank you Rasta, you’re still the best. I have a question
for you and I hope you will write me a comment with your answer. Um I was so surprised to get so
many messages from all over the world from people uh who were crying about the passing of Rusta.
And it just makes me wonder how he inspired you. Why why are you sad that he is not here
anymore? What what did he left for you? You know what I mean? That’s the question for you
I have and I would love to read your comments. Someone wrote on one of my social media channels
that Rasta um had a life in paradise and is now in heaven. And I so hope that heaven is more
beautiful than this because this is hard to top, right? Oh, that was one of Rusta’s favorite
corners and of course one of my favorite corners. I so love it. I I can see him. Yeah. Running down
the street. A Yeah, of course we miss him. Yeah. So now that was another part of our farewell
tour for Rusta and uh yeah let’s let’s check out the next place. Yes we are in La Brunan
right now. Yeah Ra loves to be here not in the village itself. He loved to run outside the
village. Yeah. And so I do a hike we used to do when we both were very fit as tunes. Yeah. So uh
I will go up to Venan. Yeah. We only wanted to make a short round about an hour. Yeah. We went
up on this path and we had a good time up here. Yeah, that was our corner. Oh, we had so
many wonderful moments here with running raa. [Music] Happy place. Yeah, totally happy place. What a perfect trip for Laabun, huh? What’s that? [Music] [Music] Oh, ali. Wow. Ellie [Music] cool, huh? This is This is hard to describe. Again,
mine. There are no words for this. No words. [Music] [Music] Happy dog, huh? Used to jump into
this creek. Yeah. But not the last years. Yeah. He became older
and he couldn’t come out again. Yeah, going in wasn’t a problem, but coming out
and he just barked and barked and barked. I hiked further up to clear my head and make room for
new thoughts. Then I found this little cottage, which was apparently a favorite place of a
well-known poet. Throughout the entire hike, one thought kept coming back to me again
and again. A hole filled with love should be filled with love again. I wrote this sentence
in this little book and took a moment to reflect. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music]
[Applause] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] So we are now in our wingen. I still talk in wei.
Huh? Yeah. Because somehow I’m not alone. Yeah. Look at the view. Yeah, but that was not Rusta’s playground. We
have to go up more. So if that hike through the forest would be probably too steep for
you, yeah, you go on the train in La Brunan and you jump off Wang Vald over there and
then you continue with the hike I do now. Here we are. Yeah. Back to the beauty. And then mother nature is showing up
and then I know everything is okay. Yeah, that’s the magic what happens
when you go hiking in nature. Yeah, you will get so many answers. It is so calm up here and I feel much better.
Yeah. I mean there is a time to be sad and to stay at home and to cry. Yeah. After a loss. But
uh then you need to go out and to fill up your storage of energy. Yeah. And for me, the best
thing I can do is going out into nature. Yeah. Some of the lovely cows from my last visit here. [Music] [Music] [Music] I know he would love to be here. Hey ladies, do you remember me? Huh?
I think it was the this one in in the middle cuddling with me. Nice to see you again, [Music] but not in cuddling mood. That’s okay. [Music] [Laughter] [Music] And please remember Rasta is in every
whisperer of the wind, in every flower, in every waterfall, in every mountain, in every
cloud. Yeah. Because this was his kingdom. Yeah. Yeah, for me that’s the hardest part.
Yeah, he so loved to run around here in the fields of dandelions. Yeah.
And so we have a break here. Yeah. I was so good in not crying,
but then I saw this [Music] If you think about me, don’t be sad.
Talk about me and um be brave enough to laugh. Um left me some space between
you. Um the same space as I had in life. Heat. Heat. [Music] Someone told me that he couldn’t do it. So to go
to the places um uh where you have been with your dog um you had to say goodbye. But you know,
I I am an emotional person. I I let out all the feelings I have. When I’m sad, I cry. When
I’m happy, I laugh. Um when I think I’m maybe calm. Yeah. So I, you know, I need this to go
on. I know that everyone is is different with um uh with grieving. Um yeah and I am like this.
So that’s why I do all this you know because then I can go on and I can um let out again
positive emotions and not only the negative and uh yeah for me it’s it’s totally healing you
know I mean it hurts to be here without him. Yeah. Really, really, really. But um Yeah. I have
to do it. Yeah. And you I know you understand it. It’s for him. It’s for me. It’s for us. One day another puppy will run
around here for sure. Yeah. I have too much love to give. Yes. So, one day and because Rusta made so many
people happy all the time, I will always include something from
him in the videos. Okay? So then he stay with us and we do not forget him. No.
Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Heat. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Music]
My dear Swissies and Switzerland lovers, and my dear Rasta fans.
I had the idea of a farewell tour for Rasta, where I would take him once again to all the places he loved so much. These are not easy trips, but somehow I have the feeling that he is happy about it.
I will continue to remember Rasta from time to time in the future so that he will not be forgotten.

Siempre estará en nuestros corazones gracias a ti. ❤🥰😍😘
Yes please keep including the clips of Rasta, don’t stop, even when you get a new puppy! Please remember Rasta will stay with you and us, forever, you didn’t lose him.
Very touching, bringing tears again. You are correct, in the true sense of the statement, energy never dies. Everything around us, including us, is energy. But, loved pets bring they own energy to us that stays with us forever. Thinking of you as you slowly get though this difficult time, which will takes many months. When you can find your own energy, be with friends and your partner. Being together is so very important. Thank you for your Farewell Tour.
P.S. Regarding your question — For me what was so heartwarming about Rasta was seeing his love of being with you, making you happy, and you making him happy, and enjoying your outdoor adventures together. Memories that will always be with you.
We think that you & Rasta has made a great impact on how we see Switzerland. The ski is bluer, the clouds puffier, the mountains are bigger & the trees in whatever season are more colorful. Rasta made your already spectacular videos more beautiful. The meadows of dandelions invited us to join Rasta in a roll. We could see ourselves throwing sticks & pine combs for Rasta to chase. The rocks in the streams & lakes that he moved were placed in the perfect spot. We wanted to pay in the snow & build snowmen for Rasta to destroy. We thought you & Rasta had a form of communication all your own. Rasta was able to communicate to you with his expressive face & eyes. We could see the love & care that you had for each other. We will miss seeing Rasta in your videos. We are sad for ourselves but more sad for you & your partner. We know you grieve for your lost hiking buddy. This will never go away. In your later years you will fondly remember all the hikes you shared with your heart buddy. Thank you for sharing a small part of Rasta with us. Thank you & Rasta for showing us the joy of hiking in Switzerland. We hope you understand that Rasta, you & your partner is loved by all & we hope you find peace in your memories.❤🩹🏔🥾
My lovely bird, Coco has gone to heaven last week.
I miss her.
I feel her every moment.
I believe that she will come back to me.
And I 'm sure you'll see Rasta again!
I love you Rasta ❤❤
Thank you very much Sylvia for sharing, he is such a wise soul
Sylvia we have followed Rasta and you for a long time. We love your videos from Schweiz. They are so beautiful. And your loss of Rasta we can fully relate to. We lost our beloved labrador Marley 2 months ago. Your words about Rasta go straight to our hearts. We feel the same way about our dog. Hope you come back and show us more wonderful videos from Schweiz.❤❤❤
Dear Sylvia, you're wondering how Rasta's passing saddened so many people in such distant places. I can answer for myself, from the other side of the world. Rasta was and is, because for me, he's still present, an inspiration, he transmits joy, a zest for life, and a way of seeing life from a positive and happy perspective. Without worrying so much about the problems we experience in big cities. He reminded me how to focus and value what really matters. Watching Rasta walk and enjoy that wonderful place made me forget my sadness; I felt like I was also walking with him. Two years ago, I lost my dog, who was like a son to me; and he was as happy and free as Rasta. In Rasta, I also see the spirit that my four-legged friend had. I love animals, especially dogs. But not all dogs have that special magic that can't be explained, that magic that speaks without words. My dog had it, and I could see that Rasta had it too. That's why I can understand the bond you created with Rasta, even if others don't. On one hand, I feel sad that he's no longer physically present, but I also have to understand that it's the law of life that it is this way, and that automatically leads me to think of all the good and beautiful things he left us, and almost immediately a smile comes to my face that focuses only on the beautiful moments we shared. Thank you, Sylvia, and thank you, King Rasta, for sharing those moments, that joy, and that freedom 🐾 ❤️
Rasta's uncomplicated joy in experiencing nature was and continues to be inspiring. He reminds us to enjoy the simple things we find in front of us on the path of life. It doesn't matter if it's rocks, water, pinecones, flowers, or something tasty like a piece of salmon. He inspires us to pay attention always to all the good things in life. Humans have complicated lives these days, and we need to be reminded to slow down and savour life. Thank you both. ❤
I know it's hard for you to say goodbye to Rasta. But those who love nature always have a place to heal. It also helps to imagine that he is still walking by your side. When you are ready, Rasta will give you a sign that you may choose a successor for him. And I'm happy if you always include a bit of Rasta in your videos.
Give yourself enough time to grieve and thank you for sharing all this with us. ❤
Beautiful ! ''Hellow Rasta''
Teşekkürler.

Muito emocionante, sempre sentiremos a presença de quem a gosta♥️♥️♥️
You wonder why we mourn for Rasta, even if never met him? Well, for me personally, we have dogs, and know how much you love Rasta, as we love our dogs. We put our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel down 5 weeks ago. I felt her loss, and felt the loss of Rasta. I have mentioned that i had 2 sets of 3rd great grandparents emigrate from Switzerland in the 1850s to the US. One from the Village of Iseltwald, the other from Brienz. I love to watch your videos, brcause i hope to get to Switzerland some day, to see where they lived. I appreciated your travel videos, and always loved to see Rasta ahead of you, looking to see if you're still behind him on the trail. You two obviously had a strong bond. I'll be buying a Rasta calendar and mugs.
Sylvia, I tell you that it is impossible not to get excited seeing Rasta and listening to you open your heart to us 🥺🤍🙌🏽 Answering your question, RASTA inspires me with pure, loyal love, enjoying nature, the beautiful things that life gives us. He and you have a very special energy and together it is enhanced💪🏽 Please keep sharing things about him.. it's a good idea 🙌🏽 I believe in the energies and in the signs of beings that we love that were important in our lives and are no longer physically here 🙏🏽 I dream, I trust that when it is our time to make that trip we will find them and it will be all PURE LOVE, PEACE, JOY 🙏🏽🙌🏽 SYLVIA it's incredible how they reach my heart Rasta and you 🤍❤️ I try to put myself in your place, I feel your words, your message, your philosophy of life and I thank you so much🙏🏽 I follow Rasta and you from Argentina. GOD bless you Sylvia 🙌🏽
