[パリ旅行Vlog Part2🥐] 夏のパリ街歩き満喫✨|滞在費用|マレ地区探索|ルーヴル美術館|老舗パティスリーの絶品デザート|サント=エティエンヌ教会&パンテオン
Hello☺️ This is Part 2 of my 8-day trip in Paris. We’ll keep enjoying summer walks in Paris—museums, churches, and cafés🧁 Hope you enjoy the little moments with me ✨🥰 I tried scanning my metro ticket on the app… but no sound!? 🚫
I kept trying, even bought new tickets, not realizing it already worked😂 He was the only one stuck for minutes, not getting through… poor guy lol When he feels down, his expressions are so anime-like and easy to read 😂 On the metro you need to press a button to open the doors👀 no spacing out lol Stopped by a bakery for some breakfast bread🍞 Mille-feuille and flan in the showcase, plus fresh sandwiches and quiche. Whenever he saw a bird or dog, he’d go: “It’s a Paris bird✨ A Paris dog✨” Now I see them like they’re all saying “Bonjour!” lol (so cute) Found a nice bench near the museum✨ Perfect spot to eat—leek quiche! Creamy, melty leek quiche… I’d love to have this again😍 The pastry pattern looks amazing😍 Let’s have it with coffee☕️ Wow, this one’s incredible too! Crispy, buttery, with sweet apple filling. Heading to the Louvre Museum✨ The pyramid is so cool! (Barely on time… in my 20s I’d have run lol) The Museum Pass works here. This spot requires timed entry. I explained the Museum Pass in my Paris Vlog Part 1🐱❤️ The Louvre requires advance booking! Even day tickets mean hours of waiting😰 The museum is huge—bring water🐱 You’re allowed to drink, as long as it’s away from the exhibits. First thing: grab a map at the INFORMATION desk☺️ Venus de Milo Sculptures were carved separately, then assembled like this. Of course the artworks are amazing, but… I especially love how beautiful the Louvre building itself is☺️ Ceilings, floors, doors, walls… even the views from the windows✨ If you have time, don’t rush straight to Mona Lisa—get lost and enjoy the maze☺️ The grand gallery themed on Apollo, the sun god. A forerunner to Versailles’ “Hall of Mirrors.” Jewels from the French royal family are displayed here. So many beautifully carved cameos… stunning. Looks like dazzling crowns, but the gems are fake👀 Lost in the Revolution, now recreated. Summer Louvre = crowds😨 and heat… maybe better in other seasons! That tiny painting far away… is the Mona Lisa😱 It’s like seeing her through others’ phone screens lol😂
Last time I could line up and get close. They said her long arms and torso were criticized, but she’s so beautiful. From Greek myth—Psyche, tested by jealousy of her beauty. Brought back to life with Cupid’s kiss… a myth in marble. Her delicate wings and expression… I love it. Asked him to take a photo here… ???? Blurry Can’t even see Nike… Oh, a bit clearer. Oops, tilted. Thanks🥰! But chances of a cute photo = almost zero lol😹 We spent 3 hours in the Louvre. Time for a café break at the entrance. Pricey and basic—better try another café if you have energy. Walked to Paris’ oldest pâtisserie, Stohrer. Its specialty: Baba au Rhum soaked in rum syrup. It’s his favorite dessert. Stohrer is said to be the birthplace of Baba au Rhum. I went for another dessert🤤 Which one should I try? They even sell bottled Baba au Rhum✨ Here’s the famous Baba au Rhum! Cute box and bag—it’d be the perfect gift if I lived in Paris. Walking back to the hotel😁 Dinner from the Chinese place from Part 1🍱 Crispy green beans in sauce, sweet and sour pork, spicy fried pork… Yes, this!! I could eat it forever😭 The seasoning’s perfect. And now… the much-awaited Saint-Honoré😍 Glossy caramel-topped cream puffs… adorable. Inside: rich custard with vanilla beans✨ Sooo good. Rich but not too sweet. I just want to scoop cream by the spoonful. Gone in seconds😨 scary lol Underneath, crispy puff pastry✨ such fun texture. Cork-shaped Baba au Rhum with light whipped cream, topped with Stohrer’s logo✨ Rum syrup soaking in deep… With cream, vanilla aroma spreads—so mellow. 👩: Is it good? Too sweet? 👨: Boozy! Rum’s strong🍹 But tasty, not too sweet. Good night😴 Anyone else get chills walking down cobblestone slopes?✨🙋 Feels like an adventure—my excitement goes up🥰 These shop colors are just too cute. Green, orange, purple…🐱 👨: Let’s come back for this shaved ice later!
👩: Why Japanese shaved ice😍? Maybe the owner’s Japanese? This blue tree painting is so beautiful. I love the vibe of this neighborhood… This area is called the Latin Quarter. Historic buildings and cobblestone streets—such charming scenery✨ Arrived at Saint-Étienne-du-Mont Church. The building looks so flat👀✨ Right in front is the Panthéon, our next stop. The detailed carvings are so beautiful. Entry was free. Inside, the quiet atmosphere… such a special feeling. Stained glass and ceiling decorations are stunning. That bridge-like structure is a “Jubé”—stone lacework divider. In 16th-century churches, it separated the altar from the congregation. Most were removed during reforms, but this is the only one left in Paris. The stained glass and window shapes are all breathtaking. A baroque wooden pulpit, carved with Bible stories—held up by Hercules! This church touched my heart the most on this trip. Saint Genevieve, the patron saint of Paris, rests here. The delicate wood carvings on the doors made my heart flutter… Deeper inside: beautiful doors, corridors, and glowing stained glass. Stained glass like a painting, telling stories—masterpieces from the 17th century. From Genesis: Noah’s Ark. From the New Testament: the miracle of five loaves and two fishes. The baroque pipe organ—one of the oldest in Paris. So glad I came here. After about an hour, we headed next door to the Panthéon. What scale✨ Museum Pass works here😆 No time slot needed (but check for updates✨) The Panthéon was originally Saint Genevieve’s Church. Her relics remain at the church we just visited. The high ceiling—its size is overwhelming compared to people. In 1851, Léon Foucault proved Earth’s rotation with this pendulum. The mural styles vary on each wall. I love these colors. Some are painted like picture frames—so lovely. Joan of Arc isn’t buried here, but her story remains in murals. Her life—visions, battles, execution, sainthood—is depicted. In the underground crypt, great figures rest: Rousseau, Hugo, Marie Curie… After about 40 minutes, we walked back. Saw the church again✨ As promised, went to Pâtisserie Salon de Thé Kawakami for shaved ice🍧 The church view is visible from the café too. Trees swaying in the wind, with cool wind chimes. With relaxing music—such a soothing vibe. We ordered chilled noodles with eggplant🍜 and strawberry shaved ice🍧 Tangy and refreshing—the eggplant was delicious too. Fresh strawberries with condensed milk on shaved ice. Even the sound of making shaved ice was relaxing. He said it was sooo good😆 The strawberries were so juicy. In the middle of eating, he goes, “Let’s come back again” lol… So glad we came here☺️ It cooled us down instantly🍓❄️ The café felt like something out of a Ghibli film—nostalgic and warm. It’s been a while since I saw him so relaxed… he even said, “I want to live nearby.” He kept saying: “Will we never come back here? Maybe in 10 years? Or next life?” 😂 The owner was wonderful too. I’d love to see this place in autumn or winter☺️ It’s hot, but such a beautiful day😊 👩: Look, so pretty❤️ 👩: That’s not the way lol Now strolling toward the Marais district, peeking into shops✨ This is my favorite part of traveling—walking slowly, stopping often. 👨: Isn’t this the river from 007?
👩: Eh? Wasn’t that in Italy? 🤨 (both wrong😹) We walked about 17 minutes from the café, enjoying the streets. First stop: a famous stationery shop in the Marais. Beautiful cards, letter paper, and calligraphy supplies. Handmade paper had such unique textures. Colors and designs so pretty—you can feel the craftsmanship✨ Classic bookmarks with animal and instrument motifs—perfect souvenirs. Through the medieval-looking Saint-Paul village, walking 10 minutes to E.W. Old trinkets packed everywhere—like a treasure hunt🗝️ Feels like a corner of the Ghibli film *Whisper of the Heart* 🎻 Cute tableware makes me happy, while toys and knick-knacks feel nostalgic🪞 Next, Rouje—a fashion brand Parisians love.
He remembered I once said I wanted to go👀 It was sale season so most things were gone😭 Hope I can come again someday🥰 Founded in 1677, one of the oldest pâtisseries in France: Méert. Chic and elegant vibes. Their specialty: gaufres—soft waffles filled with rich cream. We picked vanilla and cinnamon. Fun, colorful packaging—the displays are gorgeous too. A bit too sweet for me😳 but he loved it. Would be perfect with coffee☺️ Wanted chestnut flavor, but they didn’t have it. Didn’t go this time, but a picnic at Place des Vosges with Méert treats sounds nice🧇☕️ After an 8-minute walk, arrived at Merci, a popular concept store in Paris. The famous Merci bag! The fabric is so sturdy👀 Parisian lunch mats and baguette-shaped candles. The 2nd floor is interior goods. Cute kitchenware too. 🐣🥚🐣🥚🐣🥚🐣🥚🐣🥚🐣 👨: That looks like you😄 👩: No it doesn’t! Even when it doesn’t, he randomly says everything looks like me…😒 For souvenirs and rooftop views of Paris, we went to Galeries Lafayette🎁 Had some macarons😋 On the 6th floor you’ll find lots of souvenirs—and bathrooms👍 A Miffy doll inspired by Monet’s paintings—so cute. Smart idea, but hey, I have a museum Miffy too❤️ lol Stickers make nice souvenirs too. Paris sweets even have stylish wrapping and boxes. The colors are lovely🌼 From the 6th floor, great views of Paris👍 And it’s free😀 You can see the Eiffel Tower in the distance🗼 Also visited the food hall. Paris is all about butter🧈 Wanted to try Bordier butter😭 But Canada doesn’t allow dairy imports, so we had to give up😭 Tomorrow we change hotels, so we bought soup, sandwiches, and juice for breakfast🍞🥤 Dinner at a restaurant wasn’t great… so I won’t show it😭❤️🩹 In Part 3, you’ll see the flea markets, restaurants, street walks,
and our last 3 days in Paris☺️ Thank you for watching🌼
