【夢のイタリア生活】アルプスの麓で暮らすように旅する夫婦の1日|トレントvlog

From now on, we’re heading to a city in the Alps of northern Italy. The city is called Trento! It’s not as famous as Milan or Rome, so I’m excited to experience a different side of Italy! Yeah, me too! First things first, we’re taking a 3-hour ride on the FlixBus! Let’s go! Let’s power through it! Milan → Trento (3 hours)
€12.49/per person I picked this up at the supermarket. It’s a pistachio-flavored snack. I heard this is really good. Let’s give it a try! How is it? It’s full-on pistachio Tastes great! I bet it’d be even better with milk or black tea. [We’ve arrived in Trento!] We made it! Now we’re transferring to the bus to our accommodation. Looks like the buses leave from the station. Let’s head to the station first. Sounds good! I think we just go straight from here. Yeah, we’ll get there! Yup! It’s warmer than I expected. I thought it’d be cooler since we’re in the mountains. I even wore long sleeves thinking it’d be chilly, but it’s around 29°C! It’s already past 3:30, so… It might be the hottest time of the day 💦 Probably, yeah. Hey, look! There’s a gondola. Gondolas might be a must in this region. Yeah, because of all the mountains! It looks like Switzerland here! Switzerland’s pretty close from here, right? If we head a bit further north, we could cross into Switzerland, haha. [The scenery unfolds as soon as we step off the bus ✨] 📍Piazza Dante “Stazione Fs” Let’s catch bus number 5! The host gave us a guest card, right? Can we use that to ride the bus for free? Yup! That’s awesome! If you’re staying in Trento… If you’re staying in a hotel-like place, they say they provide a guest card. Even though it’s an Airbnb, you can still get one. With that card, you can use public transportation for free! As long as you’re staying there, right? Yeah, during your stay. You can ride for free! So nice 👍 But it’s only valid within the city, so you’ll still need to pay if you travel far. Here it comes. [Regular bus fare: €1.2] [Mountain road full of sharp turns 😅] Phew— That mountain road was tough… It felt like the Irohazaka road in Nikko 😆 I’m feeling a bit dizzy, haha. We’ve made it pretty deep into the mountains. That was some rough driving. The road was super winding. But this place is nice too. Being in the mountains feels refreshing. Feels like a vacation home area or something. I think it’s maybe another 100 meters… Probably, haha. Let’s push on a bit more! I wonder if the host is… already waiting? 😆 Let’s go! I think we’ve arrived. We’re waiting for the host right now. Hello! So nice to meet you! Ciao! (Hello!) Ciao 🙋‍♂️ / Ciao 🙋‍♀️ She is so kind 🩵 Wowーー So pretty! [The host kindly explained everything to us in detail 🥺] [Room tour – 19,000 JPY per night] [Like a cozy cottage straight out of a storybook 🏠] [The view from the bed is just stunning ✨] The host is so kind ✨ And the room is absolutely adorable 🥰 It feels so cozy. It’s like being at grandma’s countryside house ☺️ The place is antique, with cute little dishes and utensils. Even the shelves are super cute. And we heard you can drink the tap water straight from the faucet! This is truly northern Italy! The water here is so clean ✨ And also— There’s tea, and snacks like these… So thoughtful of them to provide all this 🥺 They even have coffee! And these plates… They’re absolutely adorable 🥰 You love this kind of design, don’t you? Totally, totally! Look at the inside color too! It’s so pretty. Such great taste! I wanna put yogurt and cereal in it and have breakfast here. Maybe it’s the host’s personal taste? Could be! So, so cute. This spot is beautiful too. Our own garden! Isn’t it amazing!? This view though! There’s a mountain right in front of us! If we have tea time here, it would be perfect ✨ Right? Totally agree! It’s just ideal. First, let’s go buy some groceries! Let’s hit the supermarket. Let’s go. It’s just over 10 minutes away, I think. To the nearest supermarket. Let’s enjoy the village walk on the way! It’s cooled down a lot. Feels so nice out here! Yeah, really nice! How cute~ Everything here is just… There’s even a little road down here. It’s like a fairytale world 🤭 This is so fun! If we just keep going down this path, we’ll find the supermarket! Do you think it’s a big one? The host said it was a good one, Really? What if it’s super tiny? That’s possible too, haha. Being tucked away like this… Yeah, probably not that big. How is this village so beautiful? ☺️ I love it! The owner’s waiting out front. So cute ❤️ We’ve arrived! Is that Coop? Coop is like *the* supermarket in Italy, right? Is it? Surprisingly, it might be a proper supermarket 😆 Let’s go! Tomatoes €1.39/kg Isn’t that cheap? Doesn’t seem much different from Porto. Tomatoes are really cheap in Italy! Thinking of getting around 4 These bags have handles. Perfect to use as carry bags too. [In European supermarkets, fruits and veggies are usually sold by weight.] So cheap! €0.65 ! That’s cheap! For four tomatoes! Nice! [About 100 JPY for 4 tomatoes — what a deal!? 🤔] Bananas: €1.99/kg That’s not bad, right? Depends on the weight, I guess. Still seems pretty reasonable. Is this too many? Might be a bit too much, haha. Let’s take three. How about those ones over there? That’s about five. How much is it? 5 bananas = €1.69 That’s like 300 JPY. Avocados! That’s a good size. Looks nice! €1.19 That’s pretty decent, right? [As expected from Italy! So many types of pasta 🤩✨] There’s too much to choose from 😆 I heard Barilla is really good. They have it in Japan too. But it’s expensive in Japan. Way cheaper here in Italy! Only €1! (about 1,700 KRW) That’s a bargain! RUMMO is also a brand known for its great taste. Let’s start over here. How about we try something that just *looks* cool? 😆 I’m craving a thicker type of pasta. (That packaging is so stylish) Doesn’t it look fancy? 😆 Wanna try this one? €1.35 (about 2,199 KRW) Looks good! Should we get some Genovese sauce too? I wanna try cooking with it. It’s around €2 (about 3,257 KRW) This one looks tasty. Looks good, right? €1.95 Bread is cheap too. You can get some for just over €1. Let’s get it! Bread in Europe lasts forever, haha. Best before Sept. 6 (and it’s early August now) For real? 😆 Let’s go with this one. Then we just need some ham and cheese. And let’s grab eggs and yogurt too. Should we get this yogurt? Nice, it’s on sale. €0.69 That’s for two! Let’s eat a ton of mozzarella too. This *is* Italy after all, haha. This one is €3.69 Over 300g in here. That’s big! 375g. Let’s go all in! Eggs are €3.45 for 10 That’s kinda pricey 💦 Yeah, pretty expensive. It was similar in Porto though. In Porto it was 12 eggs for— €2.9 It’s more expensive here, but we need it—so we’re buying it! Even with all this, it only came out to €30. That’s cheap! About 5,000 JPY. Doesn’t feel too different from Japan. At least for supermarkets! Yeah, totally. Veggies were really cheap. Two potatoes were less than €1. Oops, actually just over €1, haha. €1.26 or so — and carrots were cheap too! [Some things were pricey, but fruits and veggies were cheaper than we expected!]
Alright, let’s head home! Let’s go~ [A tiny village nestled in green mountains ⛰️]
Wow, it’s so beautiful ✨ / Isn’t this just stunning? [Feels like you could spend your days truly healing in nature 🥺]
It’s like a painting. Words can’t even describe it. It’s like a fairytale landscape ✨ Such nice weather. Still amazing views! What a gorgeous view. Mmm~ So tasty. This is great~ Alright, let’s dig in. The tomatoes here are seriously good. This combo is unbeatable! Cheese and tomato! The tomato tastes like juice! So delicious. Mmm, mmm ✨ You know, back in Portugal— we saw them serve this at a brunch café, and it looked so good, I had to try making it!
[Boiled potatoes with Genovese sauce = delicious 😋] Yum! Right? So for today, we’re going to explore Trento using the guest card our Airbnb host gave us! Nice! With the guest card, you can get into museums and galleries for free or at a discount! That’s awesome!! Love it! Let’s see just how much value we can get from it! Yes! So beautiful. A tiny bus stop. So cute 🩵 [It takes about 15 minutes by bus from our Airbnb to the city center.] [Arrived in the heart of Trento] We’ve made it into town. Our Airbnb was up in the hills, so the vibe here is totally different. It’s refreshing. It’s so lively~ Is there a market going on? So cuteー This is fun! 📍Piazza Alessandro Vittoria Look at all these veggies—so fresh and vibrant ✨ That’s huge! Yeah, the veggies here are definitely bigger. [The market veggies looked even fresher than the supermarket ones ✨] They’re selling meat right in the square! Whoa, that’s wild haha. It’s a full-on open market! They’re even selling meat here! Living in a little town like this could be fun! There’s so much to see! [Is that a conductor…? And even the man nearby is singing along 😲!] This is the plaza! Wow~ so open and spacious. There’s more people than I expected. Wow, that’s beautiful! This is a totally different side of Italy. Yeah, totally. Look, there are mountains behind us. Such a breathtaking view ✨ 📍Piazza del Duomo di Trento This is amazing! [It’s amazing how 16th-century frescoes still remain on city buildings!] Let’s go ahead and use the guest card to visit the tower with a city view? It’s free with the card, right? Let’s check it out. 📍Torre Civica Is this the place? Let’s go in! Let’s see if the guest card works~
[Normally €10 entry] Yup! We booked the 2:30 PM tour. And it was free! We’ve got a bit of time, so we’ll visit a museum first. That one’s also free, right? Yep, the museum is free too. Nice! Let’s go! 📍Tridentine Diocesan Museum
[Usually €7 admission] [Depiction of the Council of Trent (1545–1563)] [Stunning tapestries on display ✨] [There were also cute little sculptures scattered throughout 😆] The architecture is so interesting. Looks like they turned an old building into a museum. You think so? There’s even a path running alongside it—how cool! You can really feel the history here. [The guest card gave us free access to so many city spots—it was super useful 😊] Can’t believe we can view the cathedral from up here. Incredible. It’s massive! The water is so clean— they even have places where you can drink right from the street fountains. Give it a try 🤭 Whoa, stronger pressure than expected haha Yeah, it’s pretty strong. It’s really clean. How does it taste? Tastes great. So clear. Nice! Great way to stay hydrated! No need to buy water anymore. Wow~ So refreshing! Can we get into this place for free too? I think so. Is it an art museum? A gallery? 📍Mart – Trento Civic Gallery
[Regular admission €15] [They had some unique modern art on display!n(Though it was a bit hard to understand for us…😅)] 📍Pizzeria Ristorante Rosa D’Oro This place has a fun atmosphere! Oh, it’s inside here~! They gave us something… What do you think it is? Bread, right? Haha. Correct! Yup, it was bread! 😆 Maybe they got it from a local bakery? 😆 It smells amazing♪ Looks like it comes with the meal. There are different types of bread. Since it’s in a paper bag, can we just take it home? 😆 Right? We could totally bring it back haha. [Mediterranean Pizza €12] [Spinach gnocchi with speck & cheese sauce
(Strangolapreti Con Salsa Allo Speck e Formaggi) €11] It’s huge! Yeah, the pizza too. This dish… is a local specialty heren[Strangolapreti] It’s like gnocchi, but made with hardened bread, mixed with spinach or cheese. It’s really tasty— they say it’s so good, even priests faint from joy 😆 (Of course, it’s just a saying haha) Let’s give it a try? It might be more like rice cake. Makes sense—it’s gnocchi after all. Spinach mochi! It’s good ✨ Is it seasoned well? It’s got a mild flavor. You can taste the cheese! They used to eat this during tough times. People from this region. It’s a Trento specialty! The pizza’s huge too! Guess if you don’t ask them to cut it… they just serve it whole like this, haha. Remember that pizza place in Milan? They asked, “Would you like it cut?” Maybe that’s how it usually works in Italy if you don’t say anything. This looks super tasty too 🤩 Here you go—enjoy! It really does look delicious. So good 🥹 Wow, this is amazing ✨ First of all, the dough is so good, and the cheese is nice and soft, right? And anchovies at the end! It’s the perfect combo! Amazing! It’s so good 🥺 I’m gonna enjoy this for sure! Tastes really fresh! And also— Yes! Italian food is just the best! ✨ Buono♪♪ So good 😋 Let’s eat up! / Yeah! [Now that we’re full, it’s time to continue exploring Trento!] Feels like Switzerland! It’s so beautiful! 📍Piedicastello Tunnel Looks like they’re exhibiting Olympic history here. Maybe it’s for next year’s Milan Olympics? That could be it. This is such a cool space 😳 It really gives off winter vibes! Totally the Winter Olympics! They’re going all out for the Milan Games. They’re really preparing hard! Whoa, it’s moving! This is all glass—or mirrors. I’m losing my sense of direction, haha. So disorienting lol Ouch! [They’re displaying past Olympic medals, too.] [Even the Olympic torches!] They’ve got Milan 2026 here too! Can’t wait! ✨ Knowing the Olympics will be held in a city we’ve actually visited makes it more exciting. When we watch the Olympics next year, we might feel a sense of nostalgia. [Trying out the ski simulator!] So fast!! haha [It was way too fast—we couldn’t even ski properly 😂] Staff: Uh… your skiing style is a bit… different. Staff: Well… let’s just say it was good, haha. [The experienced skier made it look so effortless 😂] Wow, you’re actually good! Your score’s going up! This is seriously tough, haha. Keep going! You’re almost there! Almost there! Nope—totally failed, haha. Ah—it’s over! [This place is free even without a guest card—definitely recommended ☺️] [To wrap up our Trento tour: the tower tour we booked!] [Since the explanation was in Italian, we just soaked in the atmosphere 😂] [The city view from the top of the tower is absolutely stunning ✨] This is the tallest tower in all of Trento! My legs are kinda shaking, haha. Well, we did climb really high! [For reference: you can only go up this tower with a guided tour!] [There are quite a few steep stairs—make sure to wear sneakers 😁] [Next episode: The Dolomites] Whoa… what a breathtaking view!! That’s incredible! It’s coming… it’s coming! Yosuke! In the next episode, we’ll show you the stunning views of the Dolomites!
