Thank you for watching, everyone. This is Makobe. This time, I’d like to introduce a newly opened resort hotel. It’s called “Bekkan Umine,” a sister hotel of Kannawaen in the Kannawa Onsen area of ​​Beppu. It’s located on a hill, so the view looks great, doesn’t it? Let’s get started with our report. Let’s head to the front desk. The smell of new construction hit us as soon as we opened the door. There are also plenty of celebratory flowers on display. Today, September 2, 2025, marks the opening day, so we’re here on opening day. Let’s start with a welcome drink. Check-in is at 3:00 PM, so we arrived at 3:00 PM. All the alcoholic and soft drinks listed here are all-you-can-drink. They also prepared sweets and snacks, which is a really nice touch. I asked the staff member who guided me if there was something special just for today, but they actually have wine, shochu, highballs, sours, and draft beer available all the time. It’s perfect for a heavy drinker like me, Makobe. I’d like to have Makobe’s favorite draft beer. Cheers! Of course, it’s self-service, and with just the push of a button, the beer dispenses with this foam ratio, so it’s just perfect! It’s still going to be hot for a while. I also picked up some nuts for snacks. The lounge space here is really spacious, so I was able to enjoy my drink at my own pace. But I’d also like to show you around the back of the front desk. There were a lot of Beppu souvenirs lined up. There were more items than I expected, and while souvenirs are great, they might also be nice to buy as a treat for yourself. There’s also a space with sofas at the back of the shop, which would be nice for reading. I just completed the check-in at the front desk, and I’ll be staying in B-1 tonight. I’m a little excited because I haven’t seen the inside of the room yet, but today I’m staying at the newly opened “Bekkan Umine” in Beppu. It opened today, September 2, 2025. Congratulations!! And actually, I had reserved the most reasonable room today, but they gave me a special upgrade for today’s opening!! (Thank you very much) So, the room is amazing. Now, let’s turn the camera. I’ll start by showing you the entrance we just came in through. It’s so spacious. It feels like it might be bigger than my own home. And there are slippers in the room, so let’s try them on. Of course, there are simple slippers too. And, what’s nice is that there’s a sofa here, and outdoor slippers here too. It’s amazing. There are about six pairs. There’s also a shoehorn and a fire extinguisher. Now, let’s turn around inside. This way! Wow! It’s so spacious. What? It’s this spacious? Wait, what? Amazing! There’s even more room here. What? Is it okay? I’m staying in such a spacious place… Hey. I don’t know where to start, but it’s amazing. As soon as I entered, there was a bed, so I’ll start with the bed. There are power outlets. I think there are Type C and USB. And they prepared a tablet for me. There’s no phone, so I was told I can make calls from this tablet. My room number is different, but is that okay? Oh, I see. It’s Room B. Yes. There are instructions on how to use the various functions, and when I open the bottom drawer, there’s nothing in it. There’s a shelf underneath. Let’s take a look at the pillow. I’ve never stayed in a place this big before , so I’m kind of surprised, but first of all, the sofa is incredible. It’s like a space sofa (?). And this is the table. It’s a dining table. I don’t think we’ll eat here, but it’s a little too big for two people. So, it’s probably better for a family. Wow, it’s amazing. And here are the sinks at the back. There are five. There’s hand soap, and it’s another luxurious-feeling sink. There are tissues, and I bet this magnifying mirror also lights up. Oh, it lights up. It really does feel like an actress light. This is great. An actress light that I’ve always wanted. What’s more, it’s great that the brightness can be changed. There’s also a Refa hair dryer, and even a hair iron! This is the largest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, with all the facilities and a true resort. This might just be the best ever. And here are beds to relax by the pool. And you’ll get sunburned if you stay out in the sun. There’s also a corner here where you can rest in the shade and feel a bit of a breeze. And if you smoke, you can probably smoke here. Neither the staff nor I smoke. Okay, and take a look. This, how do you call it? Is it L-shaped? There’s a Japanese-style room, a bedroom, and a living/dining room. Oh, wait a minute. There was cleansing, face wash, lotion, and more. And this is probably loungewear. Loungewear. I’d like to take a look at it a bit. It feels so nice against the skin. It’s a separate piece. And this is the jacket, I think. Oh, it’s lovely. Isn’t it nice? They also had sauna hats and clothing, so it felt like I could just show up empty-handed. Now, let’s head to the pool in the public space. There’s a changing room just for the pool in front of the front desk. I got special permission to photograph this women’s changing room. As soon as I entered, there was water ready and even plastic bags to put wet swimsuits in. And this spacious locker room is really nice. And the hair dryer, of course, a Refa. There’s also a partitioned area, and a machine to spin-dry your swimsuit. And, of course, there’s a restroom. With all these facilities, you can play with your kids without worry. It really is infinity, so I think I’ll go all the way to the edge. Ah, the view is amazing. Wow, it’s amazing! It’s sunny over there, so I’ll just share the atmosphere. It looks like this! So I think there was something for the whole family to enjoy. There’s more. There’s an open kitchen, where they even prepared nigiri sushi. The main course was a Kuroge Wagyu steak, and this time they also prepared butter-sautéed abalone . Wow, you don’t get to eat abalone very often. It’s a luxury ingredient. I was staying at the hotel with an open price, but the service was so good I wondered if it was really worth it. And then there was the Kuroge Wagyu steak. The fact that it was cooked right in front of me really made me hungry, not to mention the visual appeal. Yes. It was dinnertime at Makobe after drinking too much in the lounge. I’m losing my words, so I’ll let the narrator explain. The alcoholic and soft drinks served in the lounge are all-you -can-drink, even at dinnertime. And, I picked up a variety of things. Makobe is meant to be enjoyed with alcohol, so I picked up a lot of appetizer-style dishes like this. And, since the staff are people who like to eat a lot, the menu is like this. The sushi was just like the sushi you get at a sushi restaurant. Everything was delicious, but the one I remember most was the prosciutto and melon. The melon was incredibly sweet and delicious. They also had sparkling wine, which we opened. This is what we enjoyed with the sparkling wine . I’d like to start with the main dish, the abalone. I was blown away by it, and it had a great texture. It had a buttery aroma and was absolutely delicious. It’s an unforgettable flavor. Then we had the steak, which was Japanese Black Wagyu beef. After that, they showed me a cross-section of the steak, which was cooked just right—medium rare. It was slightly pink in the middle, and it melted in my mouth . At Makobe, I usually choose farmed makobe, but at the Annex Umine where I stayed tonight, I tend to go for Japanese, so I chose the Japanese menu. They also have fruit and baked goods. That’s a nice touch, isn’t it? It looks like you can enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee after your meal. There’s even more. In fact, if you go to the back, they’re cooking omelets in the same place they did yesterday in the live kitchen. They’re so efficient , I’ll serve them uncut. By the way, you can choose between fried eggs or omelets, so I recommend ordering either one and having them cooked. I like having them cooked right in front of you. They’re so efficient. I’m sure it takes quite a bit of skill to make an omelet on this hot plate. It goes by so quickly, doesn’t it? Amazing. I don’t think I could ever do that. Okay. So, I ordered a fluffy omelet with bacon and sausages. It ‘s so luxurious, isn’t it? Breakfast, too. Thank you. It looks so delicious. Today, I decided to try Japanese food, which is unusual.
