(7min. walk from the station) As I expected impressive view! Big cruiser! This is the one I am getting on Let’s take outside seat Leaving at 11AM The boat is going around MATSUSHIMA Bay in 50 min. There are about 260 islands in the bay ZAIJOJIMA Island Those small floats are seaweed farm Overtaking! KANEJIMA Island Looks like a bridge, it’s also called “Bridge Island” This is the most famous island NIOUJIMA Island Looks like a human head wearing a beret You can enjoy the scenery from inside Outside is better for impressive views SENGANJIMA Island Time flies quickly Beside the boat terminal, you can see… GODAIDO
Important Cultural Property As I got closer, something wrong … Oh no… Closed for repair work until 31 March Never mind! Let’s go for lunch MATSUSHIMA is famous for oysters, But I can’t eat them due to allergies… Good place for oyster lovers Still there’re many local specialties in MATSUSHIMA GYUTAN (beef tongue) curry pan sign caught my eye RIKYU(Popular GYUTAN restaurant) It also has Japanese sweets shop Instagrammable DANGO (Sweet Rice Cake) Restaurant is next to the sweets shop GYUTAN curry pan (400 yen) Green paste is ZUNDA (Mashed beans) 255yen GOCHISOSAMA Already about 3PM I asked the shuttle bus service of the hotel MATSUSHIMA ICHINOBO Exciting! Spacious! Looks like sea bubbles The lobby is connecting to… a big lounge and… amazing MATSUSHIMA Bay views Café time from 3PM No worries! It’s All-Inclusive! Let’s enjoy! Blissful moment Nuts are so peppery Hey! Oyster! What is my room like? MATSUSHIMA Bay view too! My room has a view bath Japanese bland Refreshing! Hotel’s lounge wear is comfortable and warm Amenities are eco-conscious You can bring tea bags from the lounge and enjoy tea in the room Sunset time Beautiful artworks are everywhere Just looking is enjoyable Traditional bag made of grapevine Dinner time is 5PM to 8PM Today’s menu Refined design! This huge kitchen is amazing Chefs are cooking by order in front of us You can take your dishes and drinks to the table by yourself There is a wine cellar You can drink as much as you want SAKE and SHOCHU are available too Dangerous for drink lovers Ordered SENDAI beef SHABUSHABU Wow!! Looks yummy! I took as much as I can eat for now Smoked duck and local cheese SENDAI beef SHABUSHABU and herbs Red and white Once done, and additional order for GYUTAN Fleshly grilled Cream brulee I ate up all dishes I ordered Return your used crockery by yourself I think that is good idea to make reasonable price to stay in this amazing hotel Enough space between seats is comfortable for solo travelers Public ONSEN bath ONSEN contains a mineral, good for skin You can take the sauna as well Bar time starts at 7PM Ordered cocktail (You can take it to your room) Chill time From the bath in my room… MATSUSHIMA is also famous for beautiful moon DAY 2 MIYAGI・MATSUSHIMA Snowing! Sunrise begins after a while At the lounge Breakfast time is 7:30AM to 9:30AM The same style as the dinner I chose Japanese food MISO soup of freshwater clams
Good for hangover KAMABOKO(fish cake) and local salmon Let’s take a walk in the garden Still snowing The silent world Designed by famous landscape gardener The air is crisp and clear Still have place to visit Glass Museum Free for the hotel guest Can’t believe it’s made out of glass! The shop at the lobby Hello again! Oyster Bought the nuts I had yesterday and KAMABOKO I had this morning Check out time is 11AM Enjoyed gelato until departure Nitro cold brew coffee Enjoyed many options without thinking about extra charges and all options are great!
