44🇮🇳インド最大の塩砂漠へ😱 グジャラート州カッチランへ
On the other side of this desert is
the border to Pakistan. Security is pretty tight here. This road border. Okay,
that’s border. This is the edge of India. [Music] [Music] Okay. Woo. Oh, yes. Look at that. A nice bright day
already. It is just 619. That must be a new record for us. I think that is a new record for us. Good
morning world. Welcome back to the channel. It’s ride number 45 on our motorcycle adventure here
in India and we are here just outside the town of Samar Kiari in the state of Gujarat and we’ve
just joined the lovely state highway number 27. I don’t know if lovely is the right word. I would
say hectic. Good on you guys. All part of the 5:00 a.m. club. Yay. Yeah. But man, we w really
successful yesterday with our stay there. It was a power cut for the whole day pretty much until
the night and Yeah, it was so so hot. They tried to get the backup generator going and I think the
starter motor wasn’t working cuz they were hitting it with a hammer. Yes. that you think like, “Oh,
it’s all right. One day without electricity, no problem.” But I think the temperature was
like 42° and it was just boiling hot. You just sit there and be miserable. Yeah, because not
even the ceiling fans were working. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. But then at about 9:00, the
electricity came back on. Oh my god, I’m safe. I think everybody is so happy. Everybody’s
having like a semi party here now. Ah, it’s so good. And we did end up having a comfortable
night apart from one pesky mosquito. Hey, there’s always one mosquito. But yeah, so I
was pretty excited for this morning to start early to get some miles done because today
we’re actually going to a really really cool place. So let me show you where we’re heading
today. So we are here near Samakali and today after many long and hot rides we will finally be
reaching an area known as the great Ran of Kutch, one of the largest salt deserts in the world.
Yes, we are heading away from the busyiness, the buildings, the trucks. We’re heading out
into the salt desert of Kutch. And this is a vast expanse of salt flats. And that means hopefully
we get a chance to ride on the salt flats. Today we’re heading for a village called Gordali
which lies right on the edge of the salt flats and there’s lots of home stays there with beautiful
traditional little rooms like circular rooms. So it’s about a 170 kilometer ride to reach the
village and Google map says it will take us 3 hours and 15 minutes. It’s already 6:30 so better
hit the road. Let’s go. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Namaste. Breakfast is just Thank you so much. Great. Thank you. We have the breakfast of champions, guys.
We’re back to bread and cheese. Okay, we are back to bread and cheese. After
the horrific time we had yesterday, we decided this morning to just treat ourselves
to a stack of cheese. But more importantly, we’re going to put Marmite on it. Yeah. Yes. Yes.
A match made in heaven. some kind of morning. It’s so wet. It looks like it’s sunglasses
weather. It’s 9:00 now. We had a beautiful cheese sandwich. Was nice for a change. And
we routed us now to a place which is about 1 and a half hours away or 80 kilometers. We will
check out that place first and see the price and see if they have air conditioning, which is very
very lifesaving these days because it just gets hotter and hotter. Hey, look at this ox. Hello.
He’s sleeping. And hopefully the ride won’t be as hectic and not too much traffic. Nope, still
hectic this morning. We’re just coming around the outskirts of the city of BJ and man, it’s getting
hotter by the second and busier by the second. Wa! Huge pothole here in the road
as well. Oh my god. I think we are supposed to be on the other side
somehow. I don’t know how that happened. Oh no. How can I go over
on the other side here? Stop. Stop. Have to go backwards. You know, and
I was blaming like the locals like, “Oh, why are you on the wrong side?” Wow, his
truck looked so pretty. Did you see? Anyway, now we are on the right side of the road
on the highway, which I’m happy about. Oh, wow. Okay, that’s a big big
pothole. Have to go here. More potholes. It’s not the easiest road, but fun as well.
Hey, it’s not getting boring here on this road. We’re getting through it. Hey, we’re
getting through it slowly but surely. I think we should get fuel before we get too
far out as well. It’s probably better to get in now whilst it’s cooler for me. It’s
still boiling hot already. Hello. Full. Hello. Hi. How are you? Fine. Very good. Thank you. I think that’s Yeah,
that’s okay. No. Yeah. Danivat pay up. Yeah. YouTube. Yeah. Writing Kanya Kumari, Tamil Nadu to Ladak. All India south to north.
Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra. We go to Kach. Yeah. Want to ride on the
on the sand on the salt? Your country? My country? Germany. Germany. Germany. Yes. Yes. Me.
Germany. Here. England. Like YouTube channel. Very good. Thank you. Thank you. Danny. Bye-bye. Oh,
okay. Yeah. Nearly crashed there. Okay. Anyway, we are fueled up and ready to head out to a
very salty desert. It will be a salty day. Wow, look at this area. We have entered the
vast desert plains. There’s really no house inside at the moment. It’s just very open and it
feels very nice. Still a busy road though. Oh, it’s still busy. There’s like a chicken truck
just in front of me. Let’s overtake him. People are overtaking and they’re pushing us
sort of to the side that they have enough space to overtake. So, it’s always quite dangerous,
actually. Yeah. And sometimes people overtake other people whilst they’re overtaking somebody
else. Yeah. I’m looking so forward to reach the place where we’re going to stay because I think
this area will be lovely. Yeah. This long drive out into the middle of nowhere. It’s going to be
worth it. And we’re just coming into the southern reaches of the Tar Desert that stretches up into
Rajasthan. And yeah, look at this. It’s a proper desert here now. Wow. just got a huge line of
electricity pylons stretching off as far as the eye can see. So hopefully one of those lines
is going to the accommodation where we’re going to stay tonight. And then a line from there is
going to a lovely AC unit in our room. [Music] Oh no, look at this. It looks like it
happened a little while ago, but man, that car is completely smashed up. Yeah,
it’s a battle out on this highway. Just look at this line of trucks ahead. Just goes on
forever. This is just constantly overtaking here. Where are all these trucks going? I guess these trucks are salt
transportation trucks because a lot of the salt desert has been
transformed into salt uh mines. Why else would a huge line of trucks just be
heading out into the middle of nowhere? And look, there’s a herd of buffalo down there.
And on this side, nothingness. Yeah, I think you can make it. Yep. Yes. The last truck for
now. And off we go into the tar desert. [Music] [Music] Hello. Namaste. [Music] [Music] All nice and wet. Let’s hope that this
will help a little bit to cool down. Oh. Oh, that’s cold with the arms as well, isn’t it?
Totally. It’s so nice. Oh my god. Yeah. Seriously, it works very well. This time we went all out
and we actually put a liter of water into each of our coats. But tap water, guys. Not like
we didn’t buy a fresh bottle of water. This was just filled up at the hotel. But man,
that is breezy. That is a cool cool breeze now. That was necessary. And we’ve left the
main highway now and all the trucks behind. And we are now heading towards the salt desert and
the village of Gordali. 23 kilometers to go. Yeah. I mean look emptiness. Emptiness just in front
of me. I’m not sure. Maybe we will be only people there. [Music] Oh, look. Check these guys out.
Here is a couple of what I think are wild asses. Nice. I think these are wild anyway. I
mean, I saw on the map that near here was a wild ass sanctuary. That’s some wild
ass sanctuary. So, I’m not sure. I mean, these guys also do seem quite shy of me. So, that
might indicate that they are indeed wild asses. Although to be honest, it looks like they’ve got
pretty regular asses to me. [Applause] [Music] Okay, we have made it to Gorewali, the bustling
center of town. Do you think this is the center here? I don’t know. On the map, it looks like the
center. And we could already start to see some of the resorts. Cool. But I mean, most of them look
quite closed because like we said, it’s really not the season. But Oh, that looks nice here. Look
at the houses. So, apparently the one we want to check out is just this one here. Oh, nice. Yeah.
And the gate is open, which is nice. Yes. So, let’s just ask how much it is. Oh, nice. Look
at these traditional houses. Cute. I want to stay in one of those. Yeah, let’s ask. Look at
that. They’ve got thatched roofs as well. Oh, wow. Nice. Nice. Okay, let me ask Yeah. how much
it is for one of the circular rooms. Hello. Is uh your place? Yeah. Oh, awesome. How much it
for one of the uh the rooms for one night? [Music] Hello. Hello. Sorry for waking you up.
We wanted to stay in one of the rooms. Nice. Two person. Two persons. AC. Sorry. AC. Oh, AC. AC. How much for one night? One
night in 3,000. 3,000. Okay. Yes, that’s fine. Yeah. Do you have um dinner? No. You
have no food here? Is there a food in the town? Okay. There’s restaurant. Restaurant. Okay. Okay. No problem. Perfect. Cool.
Yeah. Good. Beautiful. Awesome. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Guys, check out our amazing
hat for tonight. It looks so nice. You can see they used like
straw for the roof here. Oh my god, it’s so hot. I have to get out of the sun. My
feet are burning. I will show you the inside now. Tada. I love it. Yes, that is a very, very
big bed here. And I really like as well the nice paintings here around the windows and then
around the mirror here as well around the door. So you can really feel how much love they put into
this place which is really really nice to see. And check out this roof here. I think it’s maybe
made out of like bamboo perhaps. But anyway, it looks cool because they put like a little
pattern in there as well and they painted it a little bit red. It’s very cozy. But you know
what? The star of the show is definitely this thing over there. All hail the AC. Yes.
Yeah. And this hut that we’re in now is a traditional hut from this region and it’s called
a bugger. And it’s so cool that we get to stay in one of these. It’s a very charming room for the
night. Check out this decoration behind the bed. Look, it’s like two ducks kissing. I think it’s
a swan. Is it? But despite the heat outside, we will go on a little mission today because
first of all, we need something in our bellies because I’m hungry. And second of all, we will
check out the salt flats. At least have a quick look. And tomorrow morning, the plan is to
ride around a little bit. But for today, I really want to check it out. Today, have a
little peek. Yes. Tomorrow we go for a ride. Yes. You got them. Hello. What’s your name? Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi.
Guys, meet Hen. You’re the boss. No. Your family is here? Yeah. Oh, very nice. Oh,
wow. Look at this. Gold. There’s gold. Guys, check this out. Gold. Gold. And this one’s
silver. Wow, look at that. Very nice to meet you. We’re gonna find some lunch. Lunch? Yeah,
we’re gonna get lunch. [Music] Okay. Huh? YouTube channel. YouTube channel here. Lovey. Sheavy.
Me. Ollie. Lovey. And Ollie. I show you later. So, we’re heading to the next village along which
is called Dordo. And there it looks like they have a restaurant because there’s not much going on
in this village. No, we are really on the offse at the moment. It looks like that we are the only
ones at the home stay. Yeah, this whole area seems completely just empty. Empty and very sandy.
But hopefully in the next village we’ll find something nice to eat. Okay, there’s something up
here on the left. It says hotel. Oh, does it look open? Please be open. Please be open. Please be
open. Okay. White ran restaurant. Yeah. Doesn’t look open, I’m afraid. Oh, no. Hello. Restaurant.
No. No. Oh, nothing. Okay. Is there a restaurant here? 2 km. 2 kilometer this way. Okay. What the
name restaurant? I don’t know where Daba. Okay. Da. Okay. 2 km 2 or 2 km here. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Yes. Yes. Oh, here. Okay. Just there. Yes. Daba. Da da. Open. Open. Open. Okay. Okay. Thank you.
Could we get uh two water? Thank you. Oh, hello. Hi. Hi. Is this your brother? Yes. Yeah, brother.
Nice. How did you know that? You look the same. Okay. Okay. Danad. So, we have water. That’s
great. Yeah. But, uh, yeah, hopefully the daba is open. Otherwise, we’re just going to have to
get a whole bunch of crisps and ice cream. Ooh, and ice cream. Wa! Look at this gate. So this
in front is actually the tent city and this is like the tourist hot spot, the main main place
here. But the tent city is only open during the tourist season. I think it’s open for 100 days a
year and it closes in March. But anyway, I also heard that to get a tent in Tent City costs like I
don’t know $200 or something. So we’re better off over in the nice traditional little huts in the
village. I see it. Runway Dhaba, please be open. The door’s open. Cuz this is like the only place
for like 100 kilometer radius. Okay, let’s see. Hello. You have food? Food? Yeah. Okay, cool. Look at these cute pillars.
Really nice. They look traditional. Check this out. Paneer masala,
chapati, rice. Sorted for today. [Music] Wow, that’s really
salty. Is it? Yeah. Try I really go. Thank you. Thank you. No problem. Okay. Okay. Okay. Awesome. Thanks, guys.
Wow. Was that spicy? It’s really good, though. He’s like spicy. Okay. Divide. Byebye.
Your curry shirt. Yeah. Did I put another stain on it? Oh no. I put another stain on my curry
shirt. It’s another mark of pride. It’s not your presenter shirt anymore. It’s your curry
shirt. Now this shirt has seen many a curry. So that was successful. We have our bellies
filled. Yeah. And the boy working there, he was so sweet and his level of English was so
good. So we could actually talk a little bit with him. And he said he’s speaking the language ki,
which is the local language for this area here, which is absolutely amazing. Yeah. He also
said that when it’s the busy season here, this is all a market here. He said that his
daba is just completely full of people. Just a completely different world. I mean, look
at all this infrastructure. And right now, nobody at all. But at least it’s good for
us that the Dava stayed open. Otherwise, we would have had literally just a packet of crisps
from the shop. So now we’re going to try to have a little glimpse of the Salt Desert, the place
where tomorrow we are going to do some riding. Oh. Oh. Okay. Have a look. Hello. Hello. Oh, okay. I think we have to do a check-in
or something. Oh, okay. Hello. Oh, you need passport. Is it photo? Okay. Thank you. What
country? Uh, me. England. She Germany. Germany. This is my one. Okay. Yeah. At what time? Open.
Open. Morning. Morning. 6. 6. Okay. Okay. Maybe tomorrow we come see sunrise. Sunrise. Yes.
We can ride with the motorbike. Okay. How far to the salt? Kilm 4.5 km. Oh, four or 5 km.
Okay. We must return here. Huh? We must come back here at after come back here. Okay. We can
just go. Okay. Okay. They’re just logging us on the way in. Okay. Yeah. Season time. October.
November. October. Season time. Okay. October, November, many people. Festival festival.
Ah, festival. Nice. November, November to No, February. February. Okay. November to February.
November to February. Many people. Here it says border security force because pretty much on
the other side of this desert is the border to Pakistan. So I think security is pretty
tight here. How far Pakistan? 50 km, 100 km, 150 km. Okay. So 50 km here is Pakistan here. Oh
wow. Wow. Hill hill. Uhhuh. Left side. Left side. That’s Pakistan. Pakistan. Oh wow. Okay. So we’re
very close to the border then. This road tal India gate border. Okay. That’s border. This is the edge
of India. The very western edge. 150. Uh-huh. Wow. Oh yes. Okay, thank you very much. Okay, thank you
guys. Oh yeah. Okay, see you. Another big gate. Okay, we have reached something. Oh, cool. Oh, wow. Cool. Look at that. Wow.
I think we have reached the last road at the edge of the salt desert. Yeah. Hello.
Namaste. Namaste. Nice to meet you. Oh, look. They there’s camels. Hello. Some beautiful
dramaderies. Wow. Look how chilled they look. Oh, wow. Look the the salt here. Yeah. This is
all salt here. Nice. All of the ground here is salt. This is the start of the salt desert. Wow.
Yeah. And check out this guy. God, they are tall, aren’t they? Yes, they’re absolutely huge.
Hello. No, no, we go motorcycle. Thank you. Oh, yeah. Yeah, sure. [Music] Awesome. [Music] [Music] Nice meeting you. Okay, let’s check it out. [Music] Nice. It’s quite hot, eh? Yeah. Yeah,
it doesn’t feel too bad. I was just making sure that for tomorrow you would be okay to ride
on this, but I think it’s absolutely fine. Yeah, tomorrow we’ll have our full gear on so we
could go a bit faster. But for today, oh yeah, we got to be a little bit careful which parts we
go to. But in general, we could probably ride on most of it. Let me just see how it is to ride like
over this bit. I just want to see Ollie. Okay, it’s definitely outside of the road here.
Yeah, it’s a little bit soft with two people. That was a little bit soft. Okay, cool. Yeah. Anyway, that was just a
little teaser for tomorrow cuz tomorrow we want to get right out there. Like I want
to go out there for at least like we’re going to Pakistan. All right. But anyway, for
today that’s enough exploring. Yeah. Let’s get back to the air conditioning. Exactly.
Yes. And that’s it from us today. We hope you enjoyed the video. If so, please give
us a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel, share the video with your friends and family,
comment below, and and wait, wait, wait. Bye, guys. Bye. And we will
see you next time. Whoa, look at this guy on his hero bike. Cool. Bye-bye.

Nice video in kutchh gujrat ❤❤ 🇮🇳🇮🇳
We went on 4 days Kutch bike tour last year in December. The winter nights were as cold as 2° C, and our hands, legs, face used to get numb after 5 minutes in ride, but enjoyed the day trips there as the temperature was pleasant in the daytime. On the last day of the tour, we crossed a major part of Large Desert of Kutch in the night time after enjoying the sunset at Dholavira and reached to Patan on our way back to Ahmedabad. We still think and laugh at our stupid decision of riding through the water filled desert and wild at night. No human, no vehicle and no help, just guts and our bike 😂
One of the bikes was 125 CC Honda Shine. It kept up with us even at 90 kmph and bad roads for 4 days. 😅
You visit Road of heaven….kutch
Welcome To Kutch ❤….
પાંજો Kutch…..
Must visit dholavira
Great
Good morning world❤❤❤
he like wild asses 😂😂😂😂
I hope you like white rann and road to haven
I will share a short-story…I had taken along 4 other 'regular-experienced motorcycle riders' on 17-days trip around South-India after 2023-Christmas eve…I can easily say they were 'hell-nervous' throughout their riding days…..and I have developed a 'special respect & admiration' on your (both) riding skills especially tackling Indian traffic (in)discipline…quite a chuckle-moment when you both rode on the wrong-side……should I say 'Indian habit' 😆….your vlogs are very catchy…..HAPPY RIDING
You guys picked the wrong months to visit the Rann of Kutch 😅! As the BSF officer rightly said, the real magic happens during the festival season — October to February — which is also winter in India. The atmosphere is completely different then, with vibrant crowds, cultural events, and cooler weather. Visiting in summer feels like a totally different place! Definitely worth going back during the Rann Utsav 🌟
Great episode guys. Salty even as some might say lol. Marmite…no…Vegemite.🥰
Very nice video welcome to Gujarat friends
You two are incredible explorers! I was born and raised in India but I have never been to all the places you two have seen! I am an expat living in the USA but I hope someday I will be able to go back and trace your journey from Kanyakumari to Ladakh!
Don't forget road to heaven visit😅
