[Music] [Applause] [Music] Hello from the Art of Animation everybody. Today we are staying here for a couple of nights. It’s our daughter’s birthday and we are celebrating here. We got a great rate and just look how beautiful it is. Let’s go. So, as you come in to check in, look at all of the beautiful artwork that waits for you on the walls. I love the check-in area because it is so colorful. So, the Disney’s Animation Resort is actually one of the moderate resorts. You can have a regular room or a suite. We went with a suite because there’s six of us staying here during the next couple of days. We’re also going to take advantage of going over the Typhoon Lagoon. In case you didn’t know, on check-in day, you have a free entry to any of the water parks. We are so excited. We are in the cars area. We’ve never stayed in a car’s area or in a car’s room, I should say. We’ve stayed at the Finding Nemo ones, but this time we are in the car suite. Look at how beautiful this is behind me. Deja right now. [Music] My honey’s vlogging and pushing the cart. Look how nice, guys. And this is actually our building right here. Building one. Thanks for the help. They even have a cozy comb motel here, guys. We absolutely love this resort. So cute. And where the room is, guys? We’re in the room. We are in 1639, which is at the end of the building on the second floor. And wait until you see the view we have. But I just want to show you a quick tour of the room. There’s six of us here. You’re gonna see how well the six people fit in this room. And we’re all adults, no kids. So, as you come in here, you actually have a little table here, and that turns into a bed. That’s like a full-size bed, I want to say. But there’s our entrance. You’ve got to lug your own luggage all the way up. So, we did get that cart. And then here is the first bathroom. And look at this. Look how cute. Very cute little curtain. Look at that. It looks like there’s bubbles. And of course, you can’t go wrong with that Disney shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. And there’s my honey. What do you think, babe? I love it. This is really nice. Yeah. Yeah. This way. We’ve never stayed in these rooms. So, we’ve stayed at the Nemo rooms, which are right up front by the pool, by the main pool, and the Little Mermaid. And we stayed at the Little Mermaid rooms, which are actually regular rooms. They’re not suits. This is really nice. We have a really nice view, too. So, you can use this for dining, but then the chairs actually move out of the way. And they’re not heavy chairs. Thank God. Oh, there’s a little table there. I just noticed all the little tables look kind of like like mechanic little What do you call those, babe? Like a little mechanic toolbox. They’re really cool. Oh, yeah. the tool boxes. But these right here it is to open. They are tool boxes. Ready? So you can open it one hand and voila, you’ve got a bed. We’ve got Mater back there. So as you can see here, we have a really cool little table. So if we want to just use the table for eating purposes, we can. But that’s going to open up to a bed. Pretty comfortable bed. It’s about a full size. But I want to show you our room and I want to show you our view. We’ve got a queen-siz bed here. And I love the little cone lights. Isn’t that cute? The lamp. But look at this view, guys. Large right down there. We’ve got the cozy cone motel. And that’s actually the pool area. By the way, these cones that you see in front, those are free. You don’t have to reserve them. It’s just first come, first serve. But here you’ve got the three buildings. We’ve got a really good size TV here. A safe. And look at this spiffy energy feet. Isn’t that cool? I love it. Love this. So, this is great. This is very comfortable for us. This is me and my honey’s room. You’ve got the little bubbles there because, of course, this is a car wash. I love it. And then right here, we’ve got another bed. This turns into a queen-size sofa bed. So again, six people can sleep here pretty comfortably. We have a little kitchenet here with a refrigerator, microwave. Look at this table. I love this table. It’s the Radiator Springs map. Got some more seating. That’s storage, by the way. So here you’ve got more drawers. We have our own drawers in our in our room. And then they have some here. Nice size TV. And again, look at the cones. I love all the artwork here, too. And of course, there’s Sart again. Love it. The artwork here. Love it. It’s all Radiator Springs. So nice. The theming is amazing. It’s raining a little bit right now. Look at how cool that is. Look at me. I loved it. Love it. Love it. So, if you want to go to Typhoon Lagoon from any of the resorts, you actually have to take the bus that takes you to Disney Springs and then you’re going to transfer there to a Typhoon Lagoon bus. Um, it’s going to close in a couple of hours, but we still want to take advantage and go for a little while. All right, we’re going to head on over. airport. [Music] Why did you [Music] So, when you come into the Disney Springs area, you are going to have to go through security before you do your bus transfer. It’s not a big deal. It’s pretty quick. [Music] And you’re actually going to grab your Typhoon Lagoon bus right here on gate number one. Not a whole lot of people going to Typhoon right now. It is raining, but the sun is peeking out. And there goes the bus we came on. Cinderella. You want to sing some more? Mom dad bingo. [Music] The party has begun and our Typhoon Lagoon bus is here. Kawa Banga. So Typhoon Lagoon is a really short drive from Disney Springs. It’s around the corner, literally. [Music] We think we know why Typhoon Lagoon is closing so early today. It’s because they have the H2O after hours and that I think starts at 7. So at 6:00 everybody else has to get out. But we’re still going to come in for a couple of hours to enjoy. Disney Springs. See, there are some people coming in right now, so that’s good. We’re starving. So, we want to eat quickly and then get in the lazy river. It’s so empty. Oh my goodness. Come [Applause] on. [Music] Everybody’s out of the pool. It’s already 6:05, guys. So, we were here just for a couple of hours, but our pool stays open till 11:00. So, we’re going to take advantage of that when we get back to the If you want to buy any gifts, you’ve got the ink and paint shop. That’s where you’re going to find all of your souvenirs, any gifts, and then the landscape of flavors further on is where you get all of the food. And there are different areas or different kiosk for food. But I love this resort. And I love all of the Ooh, I love this all of the merch here that is themed for art and animation. Look at this. Oh my goodness. That is so pretty. Let’s see. See, this is exclusive to the Art of Animation. So, this this is really nice. I like it. And you’ve got the bags and the shirt. But they do have a nice selection here of toys. There’s even some of the Halloween merch in here. And they have a great selection of food. I got to tell you, there’s food for everyone and everyone’s taste. I love the wall here that’s got all of the artwork. [Music] And what I love about this wall is that you have a lot of the concept art and then you see some of the more finished pieces. So, something I wanted to let you guys know about this resort. If you want to stay in a family suite, you actually have several different themes to choose from. You’ve got the Nemo rooms, which are beautiful, and those are the closest to the pool. You’ve got the cars rooms. You also have the Lion King rooms. And then on the regular side of things, the regular rooms where they have two queen beds, you’re going to have the aerial rooms. So, a lot of different things to choose from. [Music] [Music] I was telling you guys that there’s a lot of selections here. So Mark went with the penny pasta alfredo and some meatballs. And they do give you some of that delicious garlic bread. I went with moho chicken, some jasmine rice and veggies. Our daughter went with almost the same thing as me except that she has mashed potatoes and then everybody else got pizza. So, there’s selections here for everybody. This pool is called the big blue pool. Look how beautiful it is. And this is the Nemo section that you see here. All of the buildings in front of it. And I’ll show you guys what this looks like during the day, obviously. And I’ll show you all of the hotel, all of the buildings. But we love this pool. It’s okay. I put a blanket like Superman. It’s about to get crazy. A thanks. I love it. My little Princess Leia. You’re so cute. Let’s see your ears. The little donuts. Thank you. Thank you. Look, guys. We were prepping the room before she came in. That’s so cute. I love it. I love it so much. Thank you guys. You’re welcome. Um, good morning. Day two. We are headed to breakfast. Breakfast ends at 11:00 and it’s 10:45. So, we’re walking quickly and there’s some people in the pool already. It is warm right now and I can tell you the pool is going to be great. But look, we do have a lot of clouds. I’m hoping the clouds go away because I want a full pool day. We were hoping to get some pool time in. I want to show you guys the sky because it looks like it’s about to fall. It got windy. It is not even hot right now. It felt so steamy when we were on our way to breakfast. And it’s already raining. You can feel the raindrops. The weird thing is that there is no lightning yet. So, they don’t get you out of the pool obviously until there’s lightning. All right, I take that back. They just whistled and they’re getting everybody out of the water. So, there is lightning in the air somewhere. I’m going to give you guys like a full tour of the hotel and I want to do it during the day, but we’ll see. I mean, right now it’s going to start raining. Maybe in between the when the rain stops we can do it. [Music] No one’s allowed in the pool yet, but I think they’re getting it ready for us. Um, it is not that hot. So, I’m going to take advantage and show you guys what this entire resort looks like before we go and continue to have some fun. I had shown you guys yesterday’s. These are the Finding Nemo rooms. And look at that. I love that they have the seagulls up there. But these rooms are the closest to the pool area, so they’re considered the preferred rooms, and they are a little extra. They were about a $50 difference this time around. And what I love about the pool is the theming. The theming is just on point. [Music] There’s even like little nuances to the movie. I’ll show you now what I mean. But look at how cool. So this entire room area, you’re under the sea. You’ve got Crush over there. And then I don’t know if you guys remember, but in the movie there’s like a school of fish that keep doing like little designs. And that boat that you see there is a bunch of fish. It’s a white boat. [Music] So Crush is riding a wave. Guys, do you hear the birds? Sounds awesome. Okay, so I think we’re allowed in now. I’m going to take a look. Hang on. [Music] This is a little kitty area right here. It’s raining, guys. So, if you see any raindrops, you let me know. But here you’ve got the kids play area. You have Nemo and his dad coming out of the anemy. Did I say that right? Look how cute. I got to tell you, this rain feels great because it’s been so hot lately. [Music] Look at how cool. And they have like really cute music on. something about underneath the bubbly sea. It’s so cute, guys. It’s boring. I’m sure you see all the raindrops on my glasses, but it feels really good. [Music] I kind of want to get in the pool. It was really cold last night, though. [Music] So, here you’re walking underneath the ray. Oh my god, it’s pouring. I forget this guy’s name. He’s the one that takes them to school. He’s so cute. Okay, I’m going to look for my honey. I think he might be hiding underneath a covered area where Squirt hangs out. Look at Squirt. So cute. So, you’ve got a slide here and I think you can walk through. I’m not sure. Right there. So, I don’t know if my honey came through. No, he’s not here. Oo, it is raining hard, guys. I’m going to be soaked by the time we’re done. Oh, found an area that’s closed, kind of covered. Look how beautiful this is. Just spectacular. I love this hotel. I love the theming. And over there’s the Skyliner. They’re still working because there’s no lightning. So, you can actually connect here to Epcot and to Hollywood Studios. [Laughter] Oh man. If I didn’t have a bathing suit on, I would not be okay with walking through the rain. But I actually find it very soothing right now because it’s just it’s been so hot, guys. So, it actually feels really nice. As terrified as I am of the Skyliner, I still love it as well. It’s a weird thing. Think I have like a lovehate relationship with it. Freaks me out a little, especially when they stop, but it is such a great way to get around. Across the lake over here, you’ve got the Pop Centry, guys. So, both the Pop Centry and Art of Animation are Skylliner Resorts. So, keep in mind if you’re coming in the summer, especially right now during August and September months, it’s going to be a little extra rainy. You’re in Disney. It’s still going to be fabulous. But expect to have days where you’re not even going to be able to get in the pool because if there’s lightning in the area, then they do close the pools. So, by the way, the Skylliner takes you to several other resorts as well. So, not only are you going to be able to take it to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, it also goes to the Caribbean Beach Resort, the Riviera Resort. So, it’s a nice scenic route. I think on the way to Epcot, it’s going to be your longest stretch from this point. So this resort can house a lot of people guys. There are,20 suites alone in this resort and just over 1,900 in total of rooms and or suites. So think about it. 1120 suites. You’re sleeping six in a suite if you’re going to fill it up. That’s a lot of people that it can house. But it doesn’t feel crowded. It never feels crowded. And it is so spacious. It’s a huge resort. You can definitely get your steps on. So, right next to the main area where you eat and your stores are at, you’ve got the Lion King rooms. I don’t know if these are considered the preferred as well, but you’re pretty dang close to the pool and that area there. But as you come into the Lion King area, you have Rafiki greeting you. Look how beautiful this looks. Got Lion King music playing in the background. And look who greets us as you come around to the other side. and he’s on Pride Rock. [Music] And look at the theming on the buildings. Right here is actually where you can have the marshmallows when they do the campfire. Look how cute. And here is that part from the famous scene, Akuna Matada. Look at that. Okay, we’re going to keep walking because I believe from here we head into the aerial rooms. Those are not suites. They’re just regular rooms with two queen beds. And we stayed there the first time we came here. Those are going to be your more affordable rooms in these buildings or I should say in this hotel. Your suites are going to run at about anywhere from 4 to$500 and something dollars a night. Right now, as passholders, we got 35% off. And I can tell you that it’s kind of off season. It’s starting to go into the off season because everybody’s headed back to school. So, we had a really, really good ride. Behind me, we have made it to the elephant graveyard with all the hyenas. [Music] I just ran into scar, guys. Look at that. And I think I saw Zazu on the other side of this. I’m not sure. Okay, I did. I saw like a wing or something coming out. There it is. He’s so cute. I don’t know if you can tell how massive this hotel is from me walking around. It is massive. The bottom of my pants are all wet, but I am wearing like those coveralls pants style. But they are soaked right now. Feels great though. I actually enjoyed that rain. We’re headed into the aerial area. Aerial area. That sounded weird. Check this out. I think this is some of the best theming, guys. You can take a little peek of King Triton there. I see the statue of Eric ahead of us. And there’s like a huge treasure chest. Oh, and a kitty cat. Hello, baby kitty. Oh, baby kitty. Are you hungry? Okay, he seems okay. He’s a decent kitty. He should be okay. How cute. Hi, baby. We’ve got a dingo hopper. Look at that. What were these called? Smart flat or something like that. Smart flat. Can’t remember. Muscato called this something funny. [Music] And look at the treasure chest. [Music] Oh, it looks like they’re doing some work here on this building. That’s Ursula’s building. [Music] [Music] We’re coming onto the massive King Triton [Music] and all the fishies are looking towards Ariel. who’s putting on a concert for us right here. [Music] She’s got Flounder right next to her. And she is the view that you get from this pool. Look at Ursula. It’s Sebastian. [Music] [Music] I have not seen any lightning, but there is definitely rumbling in the sky. It is still rumbling out there. I’m hoping that the sun peaks through because I’m dying to get in the pool and I like to be really hot when I’m in the pool. We got in the pool last night and it was cold. Let’s go see Ariel and Flounder. They’re so beautiful. Look at that. All the detail, guys. There’s a walkway right there where you can see the Skyliner and you’re right on the lake. I’m going to go that way. It’s kind of the long way around, but I’m still trying to get my steps cuz I want to show you guys how beautiful it looks. On days like today where it doesn’t feel so steamy, the sun’s peeking out, though. But since I’m wet from the rain and it’s not that hot right now, the sun is not totally out, it feels great. And taking that extra long way around just to appreciate the beauty here cuz this is great for morning walks, I think, in the fall, in the winter. It’s also a beautiful walk. And I got to show you the view from the lake that I’m looking at right now cuz it is spectacular. Isn’t this a great view? Something serene about the sound also. So, the next resort over is Caribbean Beach. And then you’ve got the Riviera. And then from the Riviera, you’re going to go on to Epcot. So, right over that lake, cuz it does get longer, you’re going to go up a little higher, you’ll get to Caribbean Beach. I do believe that it all connects. And I think you can walk over there from here because I think that these are all intertwined and they connect, but that would be a long walk. I’m just letting you know. [Music] Oh, I just saw the Skyliner stop. Okay, now they’re moving again. Sometimes it stops if somebody in a wheelchair needs to get on. So, it did just stop for a moment. And look who I just ran into. It’s my honey miles. I am getting my steps on. Yeah, getting your steps in. We just spotted a baby gator in the water and he’s starting to go down, but he is little. He’s very cute. They’re scary, but he’s cute. I don’t like the big ones. Oh my god, guys. It is dark as heck. I got to show you. Sheesh. I need to finish this video for you. And I’m trying to take the long way back to where our hotel is, the cars area. But man, let me show you this guy. Look at that. It is getting windy. They just got everybody out of the pool again. And this is going to be on and off all day like this, guys. I know that the girls got a cone at the Cozy Cone Hotel, which is the pool. But I’m going to go back the short way in case I have to like dodge some kind of lightning and run into a room or something or at least run into the covered areas as fast as I can because there’s lightning and I’m scared. I respect that. Getting everybody out of the pool again. This is going to be the whole day in and out of the pool. I got to tell you though, the lightning here and the storms here are spectacular. Just beautiful. And we’re headed into Radiator Springs right in the middle of a storm. Guys, do you hear the windoo? All the cars have all their lights on right now. So, as soon as it gets dark, the lights come on. So, that part of it is cool. You can see the directory here. This place is massive. Oh, and I just saw bad lightning. There’s a hat on, Doc. All right, I’m going to wait until the sun comes out again later today and then show you guys what Radiator Springs looks like because this is spectacular. It’s like if you’re in the movie, but it’s getting pretty nasty. Going back into the room. We’re going to go play some games. Look at the rain, guys. It is really storming right now. There’s a lot of wind, but we’re going to go back out as soon as it clears up again. We’re headed to dinner. Guys, today has been a really chill day. We’ve taken it easy. It rained most of the day. We played games in the room and now it’s time to eat. [Music] What do you think? Delicious. I love them when they’re all crispy and burnt. Pretty uh we’re doing marshmallow roasting, guys. We had to do this before dinner. So, we started with dessert. Yes. Ready? Cheers. Sound effects necessary. Let’s gather around the campfire. Sing the campfire song. [Music] We got pizza. Oh yeah. Freshly made a whole pie. Right out here in this area is where you can watch the movies. And right now they’re playing Toy Story. We’ve got some Epcot fireworks in the distance. Good morning. Day three, check out day. And in usual fashion, the day we’re checking out is probably the sunniest day we’ve had so far. Although it’s very cloudy. We’re expecting rain later today, but yeah, there’s sun out. But I want to finish showing you guys the hotel and I never got to the car section. Just give you that quick overview. So, let’s go. So, this is the Cozy Cone Motel. This is the pool. And these cones, I think I had mentioned it before. These are actually free. You don’t have to rent them. It’s just first come, first serve. But I love how they look. And if you guys can hear the music, they’re playing car wash right behind. And then here’s Sarge. And our room is right there. Do you see Mickey Mouse waving? That’s our bedroom. And then that right there is the living room, kitchen area. These rooms are great, guys. He’s very happy. But we’re not happy that we’re leaving today. It’s awesome rooms. Very comfortable. And we are coming up on the Wheel Well Motel. That’s a tongue twister. This is so awesome. You can take pictures here with me, Queen. Looks amazing, doesn’t it? This is awesome. I love the gas station also. The gas pumps looks kind of like that old style. So freaking cool. We’ve got a VW over here that looks like it needs a little work. I think they’re painting it. Oh yeah, they’re definitely painting it. And now they’re playing low rider. Low rider. [Laughter] I just love all of the music that they’ve been playing in the pool, you know? I like it to be steaming hot if I’m going to be in the pool. And I got to tell you, I can’t complain because the last 3 4 days it is starting to feel like fall. And I think it’s early still for Florida to feel like fall. We’ve had kind of like a cool snap, maybe. It has not been that hot. It’s been in the 80s. Temperature goes down at night. So, the pool hasn’t been really calling us too much. There’s Luigi. The signs in each of the areas are themed to that area. [Music] Okay, let’s check out the Cozy Cone Motel or the Cozy Cone Pool. This is actually one of our favorite pools. The main pool here is beautiful as well. What I like about this is that there’s not a lot of people usually. And it’s shaped kind of like a half wheel maybe. But I love the cones and I love that you don’t have to pay extra. If you get here early enough, you get one. Check out the little motel. So, they have a laundry. They have the coolant, which I guess means that there is some AC. I love how the windows look. And the pool’s closed at 11:00, which is great. So, if you’re coming back from a park day and you want to hop in the pool, then you’ve got time. [Music] It’s 10:30, so you can see more people getting out of the rooms headed to the parks. This is about the time that you start seeing everybody leave. [Music] [Music] [Music] And coming up, we’ve got Doc right here. [Music] So, I will tell you that this is our fourth time staying here at the Art of Animation Resort. And if that doesn’t tell you something, it is a great, great property. I love the theming. I actually tend to like the themed resorts more than your simple, more serious ones like Grand Flidian. I love the Grand Fian, but I like a little kitschy thing. I like the little over-the-top theming. So, I do love the Art of Animation. I remember the year it opened up and we were so excited. Couldn’t wait to stay here. If you have a large family and you want to spread out, the suites are great. If you like Ariel, and there’s four of you, two or four of you, the aerial rooms are great. Anywhere you stay here, it’s going to be amazing. So, I’m going back in to help everybody pack up so we can check out. I want to thank you guys for joining me.
