アメリカ、ロサンゼルス旅行 2日目 – ユニバーサル ビハインド ザ シーンズ ツアーと蝋人形館
You get to walk around here. I’ll tell you more about that at the end of the tour. We are getting our trip up to 8 m an hour, leaving the valley behind, crossing the streets of New York City, believe it or not. Look to your to your left with almost New York. I think my co-host Jimmy knows a little something about living and working in New York, cuz that is where he films the Tonight Show. So, live from New York, please. Jimmy. Hey, everyone. Welcome to New York. I got my start right here in New York on Saturday Night Live. This is actually my old neighborhood. Always got mugged over there. an old woman. Tough lady. This is my favorite hot dog guy. Hey, buddy. How’s it going? Remember me? No, just like old times. Got to love New York City. Hey, I’m walking there. I’m walking here. Hey, it’s cool, guys. I was just, you know, just walking there. So, it’s not exactly New York, but a lot of times when you see New York in the movies, it was shot right here on the Universal Metro sets. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. Even if you make it here on the Universal. Shows like Ncis, How I Met Your Mother, Comedy Central’s Key, Brooklyn 999 and American Ninja Warrior have used our metro sets. Also really big films like Captain America: The First Avenger, Transformers, Spider-Man, Fanning the Furious and Hops Shock, and we call it New York, but it could be any city you dress it up to be. For our hairspray line, it was Baltimore. For Ted, it’s Boston. For the Blues Brothers, it was Chicago. So, our bunch of street sets are pretty cool. Steven Spielberg helped us design them. But Spielberg’s not the only Oscar award-winning director Universal has collaborated with throughout the years. Another one is Peter Jackson. It’s the original King Kong that that made me want to direct movies. I saw that movie on TV when I was about 8 or 9 years old. I like films that just take you away from your real life and you understand ghost. I mean, you’re on board the ship. You’re sailing to a lost island. You’re encountering monsters and creatures from, you know, prehistoric times. How come I believe? So, I was thrilled when Universal invited me back to Sky. So, everybody get your reading glasses ready. Make sure you’ve got a good hold of all of your belongings. This is one of those places where you don’t want to drop your cell phones. At all times, please help yourself. [Applause] [Music] This is true. [Music] Okay, glasses on everybody. Heat. Heat. [Music] Woohoo! Heat! [Music] Woo! Woo! [Music] [Music] [Music] Woo! Woo! [Music] [Music] That was 360. One of the largest and most attractive stadiums here. [Music] McDonald was projected onto one of the world’s largest 3 standing 48 tall 180 ft long wall. It was produced by Peter Jackson and the filmmakers over at iPads. The filmmakers at have won seven academy awards and a marked title collection heard Avatar and the Lord of the Rings comic trilogies. Here’s a behind the scenes look at bright shiny new ending colors for the good place. But here’s what it looked like in black and white for the original Frankenstein. I’m ready to go. [Applause] [Music] 1930s All Quiet on the Western Front. That was Universal’s very first best picture Oscar winner. They also filmed in Little Europe. It was the streets of Germany for that film. Our most recent best picture Oscar winner uh was last year Oppenheimer written and directed by Chris had two films up for best picture Oscars. They didn’t win those but they won some other stuff. Con won best adapted screenplay and then Lincoln won best production design and best costume design. Conclave is um actually under the subsidiary of our focus features film. They do our more artsy films but it’s all under now. Whenever anybody is filming, it is what we call a hot set. And we just got the green light to go into our very own hot set right now. This is South Stage 50. Make sure you remain seated and uh hold on while we check this out. Come on out here. This is a rare sound stage because it’s two stories. There’s a street seat built above us with a ticket up there. Apparently, it was important to the director of the building that’s literally here that we build a second story. There’s a seat that the script will be actress above us. What happened there? [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. away. Congratulations. It’s a great example of practical effects versus CGI. CGI is between effects are real. real water. Sometimes they’re just So, our tour is now about the halfway mark. Remember, if you need assistance, pull the out. As we pull out of our plate over here to your right, we are passing by our west. [Music] Gross. Okay. We got to go somewhere safe and further around the pier. Let’s hide behind the gas tanks. We’ll be safe behind the gas tanks. All right. Keep your eyes open for a beeping out there. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] I scared you. [Music] [Applause] Okay. [Applause] George by George. Oh, it’s raining. You can see that rain. It’s kind of only happening on the left side of the tram. And that rain is the result of an overpipe sprinkler system. It’s just shooting the water up in the air. there falls down to the earth in a natural looking way just using gravity on screens reality. It’s actually how we create rain. However, this is a really old part of our lot. We’re actually not supposed to let this effect go on for too long cuz winds does have effect here before. So guys, can we cut the rain effects if you’re back in your break? Are you back? Uhoh. I don’t think they’re back. Everybody hold on. [Music] [Music] You care about the wolf cat. Yeah, we’ll see about that. We are going to join class to everybody island again. Here to tell us how we helped design that part of our tour is Jaws director Steven Spielberg. The Jaws ride was almost the inevitable result of the size of the box office when Jaws first opened uh in June of 1975. And that was really the first time I ever got involved in the creation of a ride. It was a great honor to be invited in. Uhoh. Okay, we’re going by Super. No, no, no. We’re leaving. We’re going. [Music] [Music] It’s just something you don’t see. You’re doing good. What does it mean? Listen, I want you to close your eyes. Okay. Close. Bobby, get in. Get in. So, we’re now about 10 minutes away from the end of the tour. Just a reminder, pull the emergency cord if you need assistance. Otherwise, remain seated. Our universe has been honored to work throughout the years with such generation defining directors as Spielberg and Hitchcock. And we are thrilled to add Academy Award-winning writer director Jordan Peele to that list. He wrote and directed Get Out and Nope. And we’re going to the sets from Nope right now. Here to tell us more about it is Jordan Peele. Movie magic only happens when a team of collaborators, often in the hundreds, work together to take an impossible mission and bring it to life. This is Jupiter’s Plane, a nostalgic smalltime Southern California amusement park owned by former child star Ricky Juke Park. [Music] Over there, look into the Wink just like the kids in that old ’90s movie Kid. That’s what this whole place is mostly based on. Remember that one? No. But a little further down, you can see the brand new Star Lasso experience built to showcase an unbelievable new live show. It’s not looking so live. Anyway, behind this Hollywood fantasy rush frontier town lies as soon as you see. Welcome to the world. [Music] That’s right. Happy train. [Music] Okay, we’re going to take their advice and get out. As we get out, we are turning to the right and you are going to see a humongous blue wall in the distance. That is the world’s largest freestanding green screen. Not blue screen. It’s just a really big wall that’s painted blue. There’s a really big pit in front of it. We’re going to drive right next to it. You’ll get a good look at it. We could probably put up a car and put one of the big seats out here like these. We call this area Falls Lake. [Music] It is so good to see you alive. Where have you been? He drives on. It’s pure dirt. Yeah. How did you come by it? I’ve been to dry land. Dry land is a myth. No. No, it’s not a myth. They’ve been there. It’s our salvation. We can all start new lives on dry land, but we have to hurry. The deacon and the smokers are asking me. Smokers in the desert. [Music] [Applause] Get your hands up. [Music] They have a game. Incoming from the south. Get down. Get to the cave. [Music] Come on. [Music] [Applause] Uhoh. [Applause] Open the gate. [Music] No, [Music] the door. [Music] [Music] [Music] Oh my god. The girl. I’ve got the girl top side. Hey, where do you think you’re going? [Music] Sickle the deacon. [Applause] [Music] I can’t hear you. Welcome. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] Hi, I’m Tiger Woods. Who’s got that golf ball? Hold that thing up nice and high. Hold it up. The lady has got my golf ball. I might actually need these people. Magnus [Music] [Applause] You hear that? We are not your brothers and sisters. Am I right? [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Uhoh. Shut up. Where was it? Tessa, children, you pour lost on this fing pile of deep metal. The provider has spoken and he tells me personally that somebody here knows the way to dry land. Dry land. We’re going to be even in private tax and tithing. She draws. We’re going to use it, cruise it, kill it, drill it, and build an 18hole monument to my beloved self. I will be mutable mariner. Mariner? Hey, Chuck, shut that gate. Can you tell me about your boyfriend? Your half man, half fish boyfriend. The guy that poked out my eye. Fishy fishy. Hello fishy fishing. [Music] Good girl. Right in here. Hi. Sorry man. Don’t don’t do that. Wow. You like games, don’t you? Well, let’s play. Keep an eye on that one for me. Guys, what you got up there? We got an A tower. And he’s got dirt. Dirt. Well, how about that? I need to know the way to draw you out. The game is called The First One That Talks Lives. He doesn’t know anything. That makes me the winner. Come on. Don’t tell him anything. And this guy is a loser. Drop him. You’re going to tell me where to dry land is you will be next. You’re approaching at high speed. Excuse me. Why don’t you shoot him? He’s gone. He’s gone under under the water. is underwater. I need gunfire. The music will taste [Applause] [Music] like a gun. Give that girl trying to be here. I can see my eye. Listen, when I say [Music] [Applause] got water but now [Music] I’ll get him. [Music] [Applause] Was hard to watch. Well, yeah. You got one eye. [Music] I move. Get over here in front of what’s wrong with this. It keeps getting away. [Music] Are you scared freak? [Music] [Applause] Get Yeah. Yeah. [Music] Yeah. Yeah. Get out. I’m all right. Also, what are you doing with a fish boy? He’s not your kind. Actually, he doesn’t have a kind. Let’s go. We’ve got ourselves [Music] on another weapon. Your genuine is starting to annoy me. You’re not going to ruin my clans of dry land, you kill neck freak. This is what you are. You’re a freak. What are you doing? Keep up. How about this? [Applause] [Music] Come on. Let’s go. Me and you, man. Stitch. [Music] on your face. Get out. Get out. Get on your back. Why is he still alive? Get up top and get that seat plate back in there. I’m going blast everything we can’t take care of a freak. Shut up. Don’t come in. You follow this boy. Look what I found. Big B and I sliced it. Didn’t It’s been a minute. Will you do me a favor up there and stand in one spot? [Music] Oh, you’re going to use Chuck some kind of shield. I never like Chuck. [Applause] Yes. [Applause] Thank you. Get up. Somebody signal my sequence. Somebody that your boyfriend is dead, too. My last I’ve got a brand new vision bridge for two to dry land. That’ll be me and you, Helen. Just think of the two of us savoring the sweet flavor of dry land. [Music] Why don’t you just show me the way there? [Music] You got to play. [Music] Come on, fish boy. Let’s go. [Music] Give it to me. My plane. Woo! [Music] Yeah, that’s my plane. Nevertheless, you got your woman. I killed your friend. So, who’s going to stop me now? You? I don’t think so. Cuz you don’t have a leg to stand on. No. Yes. I need a water world to read the birds of a new nation. Thy land is my destiny. Hey, what? [Music] you. I’m taking you with me.
