NOS PERDIMOS EN LA SELVA PERUANA | TARAPOTO 🇵🇪
– Now we can really say we’re lost in the middle of the jungle. – The gentleman left, – we don’t even have a phone signal. – Today I told you I’m going to take you to see the Peruvian jungle, – the Peruvian Amazon. – The first time we’re going to see the Amazon jungle. Amazonian. – First time in my life. And I told her not to worry, your husband will organize everything. – You organized a private driver for me – Private driver, private transportation – and a tour of the Peruvian Amazon – like never before in her life my wife has enjoyed, – I love it. – So I prepared everything. – I forgot my hat. – Find the hat, my love, – but first I’ll show you. – Here’s our transportation ready, – Mr. Joel waiting for us punctually – it was scheduled for seven-thirty, so my love, – find the hat we ripped off. – Let’s go. – Do you agree? – I think so. – Now then. – Are you ready, my love? – Yes – Joel, we’re ready. – Meet Joel, our private driver here in Tarapoto. – Isn’t that right? Joel – Thank you, very kind. – Today we have a great tourist trip – here in Tarapoto. – Very grateful. – No, thanks to you, Joel. – Well, I’m getting on my way, my life. Please. – For those who don’t know, in Tarapoto, transportation throughout the city – is done through these motorcycle taxis – and that’s the case throughout the Peruvian Amazon rainforest. – So, let’s start at the first stop – and while we’re at it – I’ll show you a little bit of the beautiful city of Tarapoto . – For those who don’t know, the city of Tarapoto is the gateway – to the Amazon rainforest through Peru, – that is, this is the entrance. – It’s very early, tomorrow morning the day is starting, – my wife is already settled in, happy. – Yes – Okay, people. – We’re making the first stop now. – Today on our tour, we’re going to take you to the Awashiyaku waterfalls viewpoint. – We’re going up. – We have to go up. Ah, the way up is here. Okay, and here we are. – Are you going to be able to see them? – Where? – He says they’re up there, – but since it’s so sunny, you can’t see them. – I honestly can’t see them, but they’re waterfalls, – the Washihuachu waterfalls. – They’re very famous waterfalls here in Tarapoto, – in the Amazon rainforest, and now we’re going to see them. – They’re about 50 meters away. – This is a viewpoint; you can’t see them today. – So let’s just go straight ahead to the waterfalls. – It seemed crazy to me that on the road, – in the shade, it’s even cold. – And when you’re in the sun, it’s hot. – Yes, – so when the sun doesn’t shine into the jungle – it’s like very humid and cool, you see? – Oh, yes, that’s true, – because the Amazon rainforest is very dense. – And another thing, there’s an insect, – I think it looks like it’s turning on a chainsaw. – It looks like a cicada, – but they told me it’s like a little bird. – Little bird? – Yes, I don’t know exactly what it is. – There it is. – You can hear it but you can’t see it, you see? – But it’s very funny, – like someone learning some machinery, you see? – Yes . – Look Lisana, here’s what it’s singing. – Could it be that one? – I think so. – Wow. How strange. – Look, look, look. – It stuck to my leg. – You know the jungle is full of animals, – insects and everything, right? – Vipers and whatever you can imagine. – There are even pink dolphins, did you know? – Really? – Yes. – Now yes, my love, we’ve reached the falls. See? – There they are. Awashiyacú Falls. – It’s a natural preservation area – and they’re waterfalls with a 40-meter drop. – Okay, Lisanna. Comb your hair. – Now yes. – Okay, so what we’re going to do now is pay the entrance fee here. – And we’re going to climb a 300-meter trail to visit them. – These are the most visited waterfalls – that the Amazon rainforest has here in the Tarapoto area. – 10 soles – 10 soles each. – Here you really feel like we’ve entered the jungle, – because it’s like in the cartoons, right? – The plants are so big, – so big and so dense, – I mean, there are so many plants and trees all together, – stuck together. – Truly impressive. – And something I love about the jungle is the fresh, pure air you breathe. – That’s right – it seems to cleanse your lungs. – And here you have to be very attentive, they told us, – because birds, wild animals, – some of the most exotic and rare insects that you know the Amazon has, might appear. – I hope I don’t see a tarantula – Because – are you scared? – Yes, – not me. – In Mexico I already learned that tarantulas are good. – They’re nice as long as they’re not next to me. – And a few people too. So they get to know this part of Peru. – They call Tarapoto the eyebrow of the Peruvian Amazon. – Why the eyebrow? – Because it’s between the mountains and the jungle. – Here in Tarapota there’s still a little bit of altitude – I think it’s around 600 meters above sea level – and that’s why the air is a little bit cooler – it doesn’t get as hot. – Now, when we talk about Iquitos – which is also another very touristy and very famous city here in Peru – which is also within the Amazon – it does get very hot there because it’s the lower part. – The nice thing about Tarapoto is that it’s a city – it must have around 200,000 inhabitants more or less – and it’s very safe to visit. – I even read that it’s one of the safest cities in Peru – one of the large ones. – So for those who want to come and see the Amazon, – like Lisanna and I decided to do because we weren’t familiar with it – it’s a very good option. It’s quiet, it’s safe – and the tourist destinations are close by – so you’ll be able to do everything easily on a motorcycle taxi – like we’re doing today – and in case you want to know the price, – the guy will take us to basically the most important tourist spots in the area – and he charged us 200 soles for everything – we thought the price was very good – and it was very comfortable to get around. – I don’t know, people, if you can capture the beauty of this place on camera, – but being here and seeing it in person is truly impressive. – The size of the trees. – The size of the trees. – They say this is the lung of the world – and here you really realize why. – Look, here the species begin to appear. – I’d like to see that – cock-of-the-rock. – How curious. – How beautiful. – It looks like Floflip. – Yes, but where’s the head? The beak. – It doesn’t have a beak. – It’s hidden. – Peru’s national bird. – Look at that. – Mimic poison dart frog. – It looks cute. – Stick insect. – Those are really funny because you’ll never see them. – Basically – they look like tree sticks and there are some. – This size too, – like a whole tree. – This statue is because – the waterfall is named Awashiaku. – There’s a legend that Awashe was the girl and Shili the young man – and they loved each other, but the girl’s father preferred a young man with a better economic position – so he called the witch doctors and turned him into a bull – and she into the waterfall because she was a very beautiful woman. – So what happened? – It happened that one day Shilly ran away because she wanted to meet her beloved Awashi, – but she fell into an abyss and was left crying. – Her tears later turned into the Shincayo River – and the waterfall is named Awashiyaku. – That’s why. – There you have it. – A love story, my love. See? – And what we have here, people, – are typical dishes from the Peruvian Amazon rainforest. – Something for you, my love? – Something for me? – Look, – those who know me know that I’m a fan of eating these little bugs. – It has omega 3 and 6. – It develops in more than 16 species of palm trees. – It turns into this. – Oh, and look, the larva turns into this, a beetle. – Look. I’m looking at a strange bug. – Yes. Good morning. – Look, Lisanna, – here we have some typical dishes from the Amazon rainforest and Tarapoto. – Pork ribs. – This must be a tamale – and a panes – And a cecina skewer. – A very famous dish here in Tarapoto. – You have to try the cecina skewers. – I like this one. – Let’s see if we can have lunch. – Do you want a tamale on the way back? – No, not now. – Well, when we got down we bought one – at lunch, I said, my love – we just had breakfast. – Are you hungry now, my love? – I’m a hungry man. – I craved the larvae, I craved them. – It’s not here. – No? – you asked. – Eating a larva – Are you scared now because you saw what it turns into? – We arrived. – Wow. – What a spectacle this place is, my God. – What Lisana and I did was come early – to skip the line, – because it gets crowded – and you can swim here if you want. – There are even bathrooms to change in and everything. – I want to put my feet in the Amazon River. – Me too, my love. – And we’re going to take advantage of the fact that there’s practically no one there. – Look, we’re going to put… – No, this is incredible. – It looks like the Estonian ice bath. – It looks like an ice bath. – But what an experience, my love. – I read on the internet that you can even put your head under the waterfall and take a rain shower. – Yes, I can imagine. – For the brave. – If it were a little warmer, I would do it. – But how beautiful. – I know it must sound a bit cliché, – what I’m going to say, – but you don’t know how magical this place is, – the energy that the jungle transmits , – it has something spiritual, – this place has something special. – It’s powerful , – now, my love. – Imagine getting lost in the jungle , – you were. – If you get lost, you’ll never find out again. – It’s too big, – you can’t get out of here. – There’s a motorcycle taxi over there that picks up your pet and takes them for a bath. – For dogs, look , it’s a bath and a haircut on a motorcycle taxi . – Here, there’s a motorcycle taxi for dogs. – The other day, I saw a husky on top of the motorcycle taxi. – We’re walking up a little bit now because – the climb is very steep. – There were some crows eating the food. – Trash – into the trash. – Here they went – There went our little motorcycle, as you can see. – And we’re climbing here on foot – because the climb is very steep – what happens is that the three of us together, – too much weight and the motorcycle’s gearbox fails – and it makes a noise like tac tac tac tac tac tac tac and it won’t go up. – There it is, it made that noise again. – So we get off – and we’re going to walk up this. – But when we get to where we have to go – judging by the photo of the place, it was crazy. – And we’ll take advantage of the fact that we’re here, – we do a little exercise – because it’s been a while since we’ve done any exercise. – We’ve been a little lazy lately. – Look – at the dogs. – Look at the dogs. They made the new cement. – And the dogs passed by here. – Now we can really say that we’re lost in the middle of the jungle. – Oh yes, the man really left. – We’re alone – and there’s no one around. – We don’t even have a phone signal. – Well, now we’re entering the Taitamaqui Reserve. – A very special and spiritual place that Tarapoto also has here – and a beautiful viewpoint to take a photo, and very famous. – When you type Peru, for example, into Google – that image usually appears. – The famous Hand of God, as they call it. – But to get to the hand – there’s something curious here – we’re going to go through the seven deadly sins – and look which one is the first. – Sloth. – Sloth. – Why are you looking at me? – No, I didn’t say anything. – I like siestas. – Well, Sloth – look, my love, it’s one of the deadly sins. – I’m a lazy bear. – You’re a lazy bear, my love. – Lust. – What would that be? – I don’t remember what lust was, to be honest. – What I can say is that the statues are very good. – Envy. – Oh. Tell me, who’s never suffered from envy of someone? – I think we all suffer from this, – gluttony. – A person who eats too much, but in a way, let’s say, – How can I explain? Unnecessary. – Wow, what a view. – Beautiful. – You can see all of Tarapoto from here, the whole city. – Greed is here. – Maybe we should read the signs – and then we’ll see what each thing is. – We’re already more than halfway there – and the mosquito hasn’t left you wasted – We’re doing well. – The mosquitoes and me. – They’re bothering me. – Let’s go fast then. – Look, Mateo, – I love this plant – and in Latin America I see it everywhere – But if I remember correctly, in Estonia this cost like 60 dollars. – This little plant – I see it everywhere here. – Yes, in Estonia – you have to keep it inside the room so it doesn’t freeze. – And here it’s just growing outside. – It’s probably very cheap – because I see it everywhere. – I think it’s incredible. – Let’s take a picture – now yes. – In the famous Hand of God. – Look, people, what a place this is. – That’s what they call it, the Hand of God. – It’s a literal hand, – painted with the Peruvian flag. – It’s made of metal – and it’s really high, – it sticks out quite a bit, it’s tall, – the hand moves a little. – Look, look. – And here you can see all of Tarapoto. – That’s the town. – Yes, that’s a town. – Look, people, what this is. – What a beautiful view. – Beautiful. – I’m going to film you and put it inside the hand so you can see – how good it is. – Well, now all that’s left is for us to take a picture then, from up here, – for the memory. – Sorry to bother you. – No, but we were seeing that you were there in the hand singing and dancing. – I wanted to ask you if you have a musical band. – Yes – I’m a singer here in the city of Tarapoto. – I’m La Pantera Cintia Sánchez. – And well, I do musicals in lambada, cumbia, – A little bit of everything – That’s great. – Do you sing cumbia from here locally, let’s say, from Tarapoto? – Well, here in Tarapoto the most used, most commercial genre is lambada, – which is a much more contagious rhythm, – which is danced by two. – Because we were seeing just now that she was there in hand – and she was doing like a cover, you say. – We’re recording a cover right now, – a new lead singer called No te preocuparse por mi – Ah, great. – Are you going to continue recording today or not? – Well, maybe if I’m lucky I’ll take some takes to see how. – I’m curious to see how it is – Record a song, – And how it turns out afterwards. – And how it turns out afterwards for people to go see it. – Sure. Great. Thanks. – Thank you, thank you. – And don’t worry about me, I’ll know how to forget you
. – We stopped there for a while because our chain broke. – Look how funny how they turn it over, they just lay it down – and they fix the chain. – The chain got a little loose, – Didn’t it, my love? – On the way up. – On the way up. – But we’ll be off in a bit too. – We’ll be off again. It’s made of wood. – They make them down there and they have chains. – It has two chains. – I thought it was funny how they lay them down to fix them. – They just adjust it quickly. Look. – Ah, look, Lisanna. – The exhaust pipe is down there. – It’s like a motorcycle split in half – and they put a cart on the back. – Are these motorcycles made in Peru? – Or do they come from abroad? – They come from China, – they assemble them here, – but they come from China. – Ah, they’re Honda, the Honda brand. – Look how different they are. – How much does one of these new motorcycles cost? – 6,000 soles. – Here we saw that it’s not just taxi drivers who use it, but families too. – There are entire families who use this as their means of transportation. – And cheaper than a car. – Cheaper than a car, – more practical. – Four people – it’s also quick to repair because – look, the guy just adjusts the chain and that’s it. – And it has a roof. – If it rains, if it’s sunny, everything. – You’re comfortable in the back – we are, Joel. Ah, but it was fast. – Now we arrive at Lamas, – which is a city near Tarapoto, – about 40 minutes away. It was founded by the Spanish back in 1500. – They named it Lamas precisely after an indigenous tribe that lived here. – Except now there’s only one tribe that still inhabits the place, – which are the Waiku. – I don’t know if we’ll get to see them today, – but they say there is a community that can be visited. – Now the place became famous – for another reason, – for this castle that looks like Disney. – It looks like a medieval castle, practically original. – If you see it, you’d say that this castle – was already here thousands of years ago, – but in reality, no, – it has another very curious story. – It turns out it was an Italian who came to live here, – fell in love with the city – and built a castle to make it a tourist attraction. – And he did it exactly the same, – like a medieval European castle. – So it ended up becoming – the city’s tourist attraction – and it worked. – Because we are here, – because we are here – and it brings a lot of curious people and visitors – who come to see this very exotic castle. – So I think you have to pay an entrance fee, – I think. – We are in the castle now. – The founder was an Italian, Nicolás Felicce, – and his dream was to build a castle, – so he did it here in Lamas. – But he said he didn’t want to do it in Italy, – he wanted to do it in any other country – other than Italy. – And he was an architect by profession, – so you can see the level of detail he went into – spectacular, really. – Oh, look, there’s a horse there, Lisanna, – carved into the stone. – We learned something very epic. – This visit is getting better and better. – First, – the castle was built entirely on a rock. – And for example, that statue is part of the rock, – which is a horse drinking water from the pool. – Second, the castle is something very recent because it was built in 2005 onwards – and the Italian is 65 years old today and lives in this castle. – And the window with the red curtain is his bedroom. – And the most curious thing of all is that the Italian is from Turin, – the region where my family comes from, – which allowed me – my dad and my brothers, – my family to have an Italian passport. “I’d have to see if I can find the Italian,” I ask. “I see his last name is Pomba. ” “Can you imagine? ” “No, Felicce. ” “The place is truly a dream. ” “Look, he has a bar down there, ” he said , “and he said it all started because there was an earthquake here, the stone cracked and that’s where they started eating and building the castle. ” “The castle even has paintings as if it were truly medieval. ” “And from what we could understand, the man also paints. ” “He did Inca paintings here, European paintings, medieval paintings. ” “Look, Lisanna, what this is. ” “How impressive. ” “How crazy. ” “Isn’t it? Really what this man did. ” “And the ceiling .” “And the ceiling too. ” “Cajamarca City, ” where we went, “Valladolid, Viura .” “He mixed things like Europe, like Peru. ” “This guy is a first-class architect. ” “Yes, ” he said. “Look at the beautiful paintings he did here. ” “Indigenous portraits. ” “I think he paints too.” – Oh, no, the name is there. Who made it? – You can see the view here too. – of the tower, – the whole mountain. – Let’s see if you can see the bedroom there. – Look at the red window there . – There’s the Italian sleeping, look. – Could it be that at night he goes to the pool – and enjoys his house ? – This really is his house. – Also included is the entrance fee of 12 soles. – Free chocolate tasting. – What a lovely smell there is in here, my God. – There’s a little cup there so you can taste it. – Hot chocolate. – It’s chocolate from here in the area. – That has milk in it. – We added milk to prepare it, – but our product is pure cocoa. – We have a milk intolerance. – Amazonian cocoa. – What a lovely aroma. – Let’s see, at least I’ll smell the aroma – now so you can taste it – Delicious. – Oh, thank you, very kind. – I’d drink it all, – you know what happens. – Because this is the original cacao. – Lisanna. – Good. It’s good. – No, but how delicious. – Delicious. – It’s addictive. – Do you want some too? – Eat it, eat it, my love. – I think you’re hungry too . – With quinoa. – Oh, look how they sell it in bars. – How much does it cost? – I’ll eat it all. – This, miss, how much is it? – At 13 soles . – We took this one . – Quinoa is a seed, it says, very nutritious . – And it’s also like from Peru, I think. – Yes, from Peru. – Which is very expensive in Estonia. – How delicious is chocolate. – I thought this was for smoking. – But no. – They’re chocolates. – They’re chocolates. I thought they were cigars. – What could this be? Lisanna also makes liqueurs. – Look. Lisanna, a jungle fruit. – Indanochado, a jungle vine. – What could this be for drinking, miss? Is this a drink? – Yes, it’s a liquor from here in the area. – This has alcohol. What’s it called? Alcohol. Fruit – indano. – indano. – Let’s see. – Uh, how delicious. Sweet. – Wow. What’s that? – Delicious. Oh, see? – Here for my dad. Look, he loves all of this. – Well, let’s go, my love, I’m hungry. – Look how beautiful this place is, we just arrived. – We just caught the kids leaving school. – Here we are in a Waikú community, – it’s an indigenous community that managed to maintain their traditions, – their dances, their festivals – and their town here in the lower part of Lamas, – Look, this is their main square, – central plaza, where they hold their festivities here, – celebrate their traditions. – And just look, here – there’s an integrated bilingual cultural center, – because here they still maintain their traditional language – and everything, everything Here – lives the community. – Tourists come here to visit the place because it’s different. – Look, Luis Alberto Bruzón and Pizarro. – The people are very friendly – and there are some little shops around here. – This is a very important place – that all travelers who come here, – should come to visit – because that way we also help spread the indigenous culture – and people come to learn about it. – Here there are looms, sewing machines, – chick. – Here there are some paintings. – Look how pretty. – Beautiful. – Hello, little friend. Is everything okay? – Are you from here? – Yes, from – Baiku. Well, greetings. – There are craft sales here, – See? – And look here, the more rustic houses. – They sell pacifiers and gelatin, she says. And rice. – Look, Lisannna is looking for rice. – Do you want to have chicks? – I would love to. – The guy here was telling us that there’s an artist who makes everything with recycled wheels. – And look at the giant gorilla he made there, perfectly. – That guy’s work is truly impressive. – It turned out great. – Yes, you have to know how to do it. – And he’s a waiku who lives here in the community – and that’s what he does. – Maybe with the motorcycle wheels he’ll collect – With the car tire. – With the car tire. – Lisanna, I want to try camu camu. – Me too. – Because we see it everywhere and we have to try it. – Joel told me they drink camu camu. – Look, he also ordered it and he was born here. – So you can see that this is something from here – from Tarapot, from the jungle. – I think it’s ready. – I blended it for three hours. – First, I’m going to let my beloved wife try it. – Look at the color. – It looks like a strawberry. – It’s delicious. – But I’m thinking, – I remember, but as a raspberry. – Raspberry. – Let’s see. – How delicious and refreshing. – It’s a little sour. – I’d say the closest thing I’ve tried is strawberry juice with a lot of water, – ice. – Very delicious. – Finally, the food arrived. – We were all hungry. – Joel was hungry too. – Look, I brought his plate over there. Mine arrived here too, – but the plates here are different. – Look at this. – What a spectacle. A work of art, – not a dish called juane de arroz. – And apparently it’s like a tamale. But they’ve already opened it. – And there’s the ripe plantain and onion. – But let’s see what the tamale is made of. – It has a bone right at the top. – What’s inside? Meat? – Chicken – It has a whole chicken leg inside. – Oh, that tamale is delicious. – I love it. So I chose well. “I got what they call sautéed cecina here —which is pork meat —but it has a smoky flavor. ” “I don’t know if they grill this or cook it in those drums for hours and hours, but they sauté it with vegetables. They put a very special sauce on it— which seems to be the fat that drips from the pork —and it makes that broth . And it comes with patacones, which if you dip them in — with the sauce, it ‘s spectacular —with one of the three sauces that comes here, which could be chili —this is a vinaigrette and this is a sweet and sour sauce. ” “That’s how we make it with Lisanna; it’s a delicacy. ” “Enjoy your meal. ” “We just came back after that long trip you saw ,” and I wanted to show you where you were staying. ” It’s a lodge, they call it,” I said . “We’re paying. ” “45 a night, my love, it has a pool.” – It has the room, it has a palm tree, – it has a place to sit and rest – it also has a restaurant up there, – it’s there, – the water in the pool must be warm – normal – And during the hot day, there’s also a hammock, which is what Mateo likes the most. – I’ll stay here. – What would you say to people, my love? – From here in the hammock , I’d say. – Turn off the video, – but first, subscribe, like, – comment, – and relax. Have a moment – relax, – because that’s how I am. – Bye-bye.

Bellos ❤
❤❤❤❤❤
