Let’s explore, eat, and enjoy what this charming east coast city has to offer. first checked in our Airbnb stay in Imperium residence right in the heart of Quanton and the view already promising. Without further ado, our first stop, Zoo Terrunum. This isn’t just a regular zoo. It is Malaysia first hybrid zoo. Look at this. The Hobbit House. Small in size but big in charm. And don’t miss the bird nest swing. Climb in, strike a pose, and let nature be your background. Honestly, the dinosaur section was a hit. Very instaorthy, too. Dinosaur. From life-sized dinosaurs to interactive zones with 25 species of live animals, including massive favorites like T-Rex, Triceratops, Brachiosaurus, and Velociaptor. These animatronic creatures move, roar, and create a thrilling Jurassic vibe as you walk by. Zutterontum knows how to keep things fun, interactive, and camera ready. So, make sure your phone is fully charged. We made our way to one of Quantan’s most peaceful spots, the Quanton Riverfront. It’s the perfect place to slow down, take in the view, and enjoy the breeze by the river. Quantan Tower, standing tall. Dinner time. We headed to the famous Allora Car Seafood Restaurant. It is a must visit restaurant serving fresh, flavorful Chinese cuisines. Highly recommend The Beggar’s Chicken. We even made reservation a day earlier of our arrival. The soup is the highlight. Strong herbal, slight aringent, rich chicken flavorful, generous with their food portions and prices very reasonable. On day two, we kick things off with breakfast at a local gym, Xiang Tu Mihun Quay restaurant. This humble spot has been serving quantan style miqu since 1978. Mihan Quay here features hand torn flat noodles in a clear anchovi broth, topped with minced pork, crispy fried anchovies, a softboiled egg, and chojong [Music] palindong about 7 km from Quantan’s city center. The now iconic giant sea turtle mural painted on a huge shoreline rock. The walk is about 15 minutes in hot sand. The mural stretches an impressive 20 m long and rises about 10 m tall. A true celebration of sea turtle heritage on the Malaysian east coast. It was created by four talented artists from project 06 over 5 days in July 2024. Next, we headed to Sunwo Kitchenware Enterprise, a local gem on Jalan Basar. Known for its packed storefront with vintage and traditional cooking tools, it is packed tight with kitchen items from enamel pots to classic retro utensils. But we came here just for the photo. Just about 200 m away. Kula cakes, Kuantan’s most talked about dessert cafe. The star here is undeniably the mango cheesecake. Rich mango puree layered on silky cheese that melts in your mouth. It’s indulgent yet balanced. It’s your must visit sweet stop, especially for that iconic mango cheesecake and outdoor cafe vibes. And we have a simple birthday celebration here. Welcome to level 5 of Swiss Bell Hotel Kuantan and Imperium residents where both hotel guests and residents get access to this stunning shared swimming pool deck. It’s got small slides, fountains, and a shallow area perfect for the little ones to cool off safely. [Music] Just 5 km east of Quantan Town lies Panta Chima, often called Palm Beach for its serene shoreline and local favorite for weekend escapes. Over weekends, the beach transforms. Locals gather, street musicians play, food stalls and eeries open up, making it lively and fun. [Music] And here’s something unexpected. You might just bump into Spider-Man, a giant frog, or even Riakuma, Hello Kitty, casually strolling the beach. They’re here to entertain and take photos with tourists. Great fun for kids and a nice surprise for families. This beach is known for its soft white sands, swaying casual arena trees, and the calming rhythm of the South China Sea. Don’t forget to dip your toes in the waves, or just let the sea chase you back to shore. [Music] Meet the friendliest frog in Telocch. Always full of energy and ready to put smiles on little faces. Playful, gentle, and oh so sweet. He knows exactly how to make the kids laugh and feel special. [Music] We settled our dinner at Loeng perched right above the beach on the first floor of the kiosk at Tel Chadai. Loeng offers a mix of western and Malay dishes, pastas, chicken chops, tom yam, and even local favorites. Restaurant Sate Zul, one of Quanton’s legendary sate houses. At Satizul, all sauté is grilled over flaming charcoal right outside the restaurant. We’ve ordered chicken sauté for supper. The cuts are generous, juicy, and well seasoned. This sauté is smoky, tender, and full of spice flavors. And the garlic cucumber nasi impit served on the side is perfect. Day three morning headed to East Coast Mall, catching the local Malaysian comedy, Close Your Copitam. Final stop, we’re at one of Quantan’s most famous dessert stops. Sendle air pouty. Just look at that. Freshly shaved ice, soft green sandle strands, thick coconut milk, and rich gula malaka syrup. It’s simple but heavenly. And that wraps up our adventure in Quantan. Welcome to our 3 Days 2 Nights adventure in Kuantan!

Let’s explore, eat and enjoy what this charming East Coast city has to offer.

First, checked in our Airbnb stay in Imperium Residence, right in the heart of Kuantan — and the view?
Already promising!

Without further ado, our first stop – Zoo Teruntum!

This isn’t just a regular zoo, it is Malaysia first hybrid zoo.

From life-sized dinosaurs to interactive zones with 25species of live animals, it’s fun for both kids and adults.

Honestly, the dinosaur section was a hit. Very Insta-worthy too!

Next, we made our way to one of Kuantan’s most peaceful spots – the Kuantan Riverfront.

It’s the perfect place to slow down, take in the view, and enjoy the breeze by the river.

This riverside promenade is beautifully landscaped, with wide walkways and a great view of the iconic Kuantan 188 Tower standing tall.

Dinner time! We headed to the famous Alor Akar Seafood Restaurant.

It is a must-visit restaurant serving fresh, flavorful chinese cuisines.

Highly recommend the begger’s chicken.
We even made reservation a day earlier of our arrival.

The soup is the highlight. Strong herbal, slight astringent, rich, chicken flavorful.

Generous with their food portions and price is very reasonable. 

On Day 2, we kicked things off with breakfast at a local gem — Xiang Cu Mee Hun Kuih Restaurant.

This humble spot has been serving Kuantan-style mee hun kueh since 1978.

Mee hun kueh here features hand-torn flat noodles in a clear anchovy broth, topped with minced pork, crispy fried anchovies, a soft-boiled egg, and choy sum.

we settled our dinner at Loteng, perched right above the beach—on the first floor of the kiosk at Teluk Chempedak.

Loteng offers a mix of Western and Malay dishes—pastas, chicken chops, tom yum and even local favorites.

Restoran Sate Zul, one of Kuantan’s legendary satay houses, open most evenings from about 4:30 PM to midnight.
 
At Sate Zul, all satay is grilled over flaming charcoal right outside the restaurant.

We’ve ordered chicken satay for supper. The cuts are generous, juicy, and well‑seasoned.

The satay is smoky, tender and full of spice flavours. And the garlic‑cucumber nasi impit served on the side is perfect.

Day 3 morning headed to East Coast Mall, catching the local Malaysian comedy, ‘Close Your Kopitiam’.

Final stop, We’re at one of Kuantan’s most famous dessert stops – Cendol Air Putih!

Just look at that! Freshly shaved ice, soft green cendol strands, thick coconut milk, and rich gula Melaka syrup.
It’s simple but heavenly.

From dinosaur encounters and riverside views, to relaxing beaches and must-try local eat this trip was full of moments to remember.
